It's a lovely wetherspoon located in the heart of canary wharf. As most of the wetherspoons are it is also very affordable and the ambiance is something to look forward to! As always it's a bit crowded during the weekend but overall you're gonna love the place.

This is a JD Weatherspoon pub and as such you order food and drink via the app and they deliver it to your table. The service was quick and it wasn't busy at all on a Sunday lunchtime. Me and my group of friends are absolutely disgusted by the treatment we have received from the security subcontractors from ‘Front Line’ on the night of 03/08/2024. 23:50pm we call our local spoons to ask what time last orders are and they confirmed it is 00:00 midnight and we will have 20 mins to have our drinks. 23:55pm we arrive at the entrance, we get asked for our ID’s, one of the security guards pulls out their phone and proceeds to say they are closed. We Ofcourse knew this wasn’t true as 5 minutes prior it was confirmed to us by the spoons itself we can come and have one drink. The security guards proceed to be argumentative insisting that the premises is already closed and we cannot come in and then calls over another guard. They went inside to check with the manager, we called the number again which confirmed we can still come in as 23:56pm. The other guard comes back and waves us in, with attitude our IDs get checked and we get let through. We then grab a drink, sit down at 00:03 and immediately the security comes and says you have 10 mins. We were the only table inside to be told this, they did not approach any other tables to say this same information. A minute after they left, the manager of the spoons approaches us to apologise (bless her she was really sweet) but she recognised we were hassled from the very moment we tried to enter the establishment and felt the need to apologise on their behalf which she shouldn’t have needed to do if they had just done their jobs properly. Ofcourse at 00:15 they came back and shooed everyone out like sheep. We were left so disappointed and felt targeted for absolutely no reason, we were not drunk or disorderly but merely wanted to celebrate some good news before splitting and going home. Front line security need to look into the behaviours of their employees, be taught some manners and respect and also have their competence measured in telling the time. Used to love this local, but the sheer embarrassment we experienced is probably enough to make us not want to come back here again.

Busy pub in Canary wharf. Very busy due to the England football match showing at 5pm. Baffled why everyone's glass was swapped for a plastic one just before kick off, after all not everyone is a football hooligan!!! The group of oldies celebrating a 65th birthday in the pub were unimpressed having to drink wine out of plastic beakers. One lady stormed off. I think we visited on a bad day as overall the pub has a nice feel & layout. Prices are average for a London Spoons. Pint & a vino under a tenner. Can't complain.

Had a terrible experience at Wetherspoons on 4th July. We were a group of five Asian women celebrating a farewell and ordered several pitchers using the 2-for-20 deal. The drinks were extremely sweet, so we confirmed with the waiter that the next round would be adjusted. However, they still came out just as sweet. When we brought this up to the bar manager, he was very dismissive and said, “I can’t help if it wasn’t to your liking, it’s your fault.” We ended up returning an untouched pitcher and buying beers instead. The manager’s attitude made us feel unwelcome and discriminated against, as if he was being racist. To top it off, another server brought a drink to our table, mumbled something, and then said, “No, this can’t be your drink,” which was quite rude. Overall, the service was poor, and it ruined what was supposed to be a special evening.

Used to come on weekends but will not from now on. Last 2 times of my orders had been waited for an hour to come. There were many staffs in the club but I still needed to wait for an hour for our meal… The most ridiculous part should be the hot drinks. This is not the first time they didn’t refill the chocolate powder in the machine. I have lined up for 10 mins for my turn and found out there was no powder again. I told one of the staff and hope he could help to refill. He came and had a look of it then gone!!! I thought he had refilled so I went to the line and line up again for the drinks. When that was turn found that there were no powder and obviously no one take care of this matter!! I asked another staff for help and they finally refilled. BUT IT CAME OUT THEY FILLED UP WITH COFFEE POWDER INSTEAD OF CHOCOLATE!!!! Staffs here are not helpful and all the outcome is unsatisfying🤮 I am so disappointed with this restaurant and will never be back!!!

Terrible place and staff need some serious training. It wasn’t someone in our group, it was just so badly managed I was shocked. Title: A Disappointing Evening at Ledger Building Pub: Chaos and Violence Unfold My recent outing to the Ledger Building Pub, located in Canary Wharf, turned out to be a disappointing and distressing experience, marred by chaos and violence that unfolded right before my eyes. Entering the Ledger Building Pub, I anticipated a relaxed atmosphere typical of such establishments, but what greeted me was far from welcoming. The air was thick with tension, and it was evident that the ambiance was not conducive to an enjoyable evening. As the night progressed, the situation within the pub deteriorated rapidly, culminating in a violent altercation among patrons. Witnessing such aggression and chaos was both alarming and distressing, completely shattering any hopes of a pleasant evening out. What exacerbated the situation was the apparent lack of intervention from the pub staff. Despite the escalating tensions and the outbreak of violence, they appeared woefully unprepared and incapable of restoring order or ensuring the safety of the patrons. Beyond the concerning incident of violence, the overall standard of service at the Ledger Building Pub left much to be desired. From slow service to a lack of attentiveness, it was evident that the pub fell short of meeting even the most basic expectations of customer satisfaction. In conclusion, my experience at the Ledger Building Pub was deeply disappointing and unsettling. The chaos and violence that unfolded underscored the urgent need for significant improvements in both the management and the overall atmosphere of the establishment. Until tangible measures are taken to address these issues, I cannot in good conscience recommend the Ledger Building Pub to others seeking a safe and enjoyable pub experience.

Then a manager came and said, more like telling “I need you to leave” without asking what is happening, just said to me I am not serving you anymore! To me! Who did not really know her, I was just trying to help! Then I asked for chips they refused to serve it to me! I had to ask a friend to order. They were laughing and refused to give me the managers name. But the gentleman in glasses “manager” has not clue that when you serve someone alcohol you are liable! And the pub needs to take responsibility instead of trying to drag people out In the streets! This is where disaster happens! Jd spoons should know better. As an operator in such a great area your treatment to tired not drunk guest is off a pub in a busy loud town centre! Have some respect and learn that everyone is different! Train the staff to be caring and supportive not a bunch of show offs contributing to your guests embarrassment.

Having landed in Heathrow earlier that morning I took the Elizabeth tube over to Canary Wharf where my hotel was located and made a beeline to this interesting Wetherspoons pub. It was still quite early and the clientele seemed to be a mixture of builders/handymen and visitors to London like me. Anyway, according to normal Wetherspoons procedures I sought out a free table and then went to the bar to order the big English breakfast, a large chilled orange juice (no ice) and a mug for copious amounts of coffee. All for 12 quid. Can't complain about that. Oh, and the toilets downstairs were quite OK.
