Drinks quite expensive, terrific views of the city, visiting a good friend who lives nearby, so chatting which is not easy as it's loud music, but that's the animal so enjoy it..!!

I have never had such terrible cocktails. We were told that there was no table and were asked to stay by the bar however without offering any seating. The barman is the most incompetent barman in the world. The drinks we had Bellini - quite simple and their own special Passion Fruit Mai Thai tasted like rubbish. My Bellini was flat and had grapefruit puree instead of peach. And just when I though it cannot get any worse the barman gave us the Mai Thai which had a flame on top. The taste was so terrible that I nearly threw up. On top of that he put a stick in it that was supposed to be used to get the passion fruit off the flames, however he could not really place it in the drink so it sunk and the drink stayed on fire. another waitress came and took it away from us trying to get the flames off and then brought it back with some left overs of a burnt fruit - no apologies. Additionally when we told the barman that both drinks were really terrible he just turned his back on us and did not say a word. no apology no offering of another drink even though his incompetency destroyed the drink. We would never return. If you want a good atmosphere and good cocktails at the same price go to Buddha Bar. the staff in this bar offers the worst of service and make you feel not only unwanted but they have no clue what are they doing.

Went here last night (23rd) and arrived over an hour late for a reservation for sharing platter and Prosecco, due to train delay from Glasgow. They said kitchen was closed, but could get the Prosecco which was great as they really didn't have to do that! (groupon deal). There was a super lovely lady with long blonde hair, I can't pinpoint her accent but she brought us some olives as we won't be having food, she was lovely and left us with a good impression of the place. These olives, seriously they are amazing !! I tried to find out where they were form and she said she didn't know as she tried to find out herself ! Prosecco was fab, the views are great ..... but after being to Vertigo 42 a few times, it just seems such a great view is simply not utilised - it is a nice bar but could be SO much better considering the views. Very happy with my visit as they were so nice , but not sure I would go back.

It was a clear night and there were 2 outside balconies for the smokers where you could take great photos. The service was good. The meat platter was good but the cheese platter wasn't brilliant. It was just cheddar, with a few cream crackers, some very nice chutney and a bunch of grapes. Another type of cheese and some bread and butter should have been added. The atmosphere was good and the cocktail bar was nice. A nice evening.

I have frequented quite a few rooftop bars across London, and this one was a lovely surprise, and was worth venturing over to Canary Wharf for. I visited for some birthday drinks on a Wednesday a few weeks ago. You enter the bar via Tompkins, and luckily we easily got seated , and ordered drinks. The bar wasn't too busy compared to many of those in the City. Stylish and sophisticated, the bar had a nice vibe, and incredible views. We arrived late evening, and were lucky enough to get some great photos at dusk and during and after sunset too. We didn't eat, however the food looked pretty good. Would be a great place to wow visitors to London.

I have been to this place for 3 years , the mean reason because I living in the building called pan peninsula square . This place just on the top floor where I live . So this place is the most convenience bar where I can go to enjoy the drinks and relax my soul . But some staffs in this bar just never give a right attitude about customers . Especially There is one big black security guy . He is the most rude arrogant door man I have never seen in any bars or clubs in my life . He thinks he is God father or something , always looks so not friendly , and give people really bad attitude , Especially we are always nice and friendly people just go there relax , we done nothing wrong Or never cost any trouble there . Just don't understand why they hired some rude staff like him , This place just really local place , not some bar in some rough area in London . I really want to ask the management do you guys really have to ? We are coming to your bar quiet a lot , we spent quiet a lot money every month at you bar , we didn't get treated right . That's unacceptable . If the staffs keeping rude and disrespectful like that I'd rather throw my money on the street than spent at your bar . Seriously !!! This not joking . Attic is not only sky view place in London , and it is not only bar where cab drink in canary wharf . There are a lot nice bar and pub with good drinks , good service , friendly staffs and even a lot cheaper than attic .

Let's get a few things straight The drinks are Expensive with a capital E! The staff are ok, to be honest every time I have been there they have been ok but nothing 5 star but certainly not rude or bad in any way The real reason you go to this place is for the views and the outside balconies on the 40th odd floor. The views steal the show here and if you have out of towners or tourists with you it will blow them away.On a few occasions I have had friends / family from outside London come to stay with me and taken them here for a few drinks It's a hidden gem for tourists - no queue - no tickets- no limited time period Just go up and enjoy the views over a stiff (expensive) drink (and smoke if you wish)It's a place to impress and not worry about the bill. It knows it's purpose and it does it fairly well

Last year they had security who were taking back handers by charging people entry and not telling their manager and this year they now have security who look and act like they've just walked out of their shift at Thai silk in the o2 (a club where you have to walk through a metal detector similar to those you see in airports to get in). I have been going to attic for 6 years and live in the building joined to attic and Tompkins. For the first 3-4 years of attic being open it relied almost completely on the residents from the adjacent building coming regularly to the bar and their custom. Now after 6 years of being open word has finally got out that the bar exists and the staff now treat the old residents who were vital to the success and the fact it is still open quite frankly like we are trash! Last night the most disgusting thing I have ever seen up there happened. My friend who is Chinese and I went up there just before 9pm, if you've ever been to attic then you know at this time on a Friday there's maybe maximum 10 people up there. Last night was no different. My friend and I entered the bar and stood by the side of the bar, straight after a gentleman offered to move his bag off a chair so my friend and I could sit together. as he put his drink and belongings down to move his bag so we could sit together, a rude and obnoxious bar tender started speaking to me in the most condescending way! "Move out the way I will not serve you, you are in my service area." To which I replied in the calmest of voices that I was jus waiting one second for a guy to move his bag, thinking a normal employee at what advertises itself as "one of the most high end luxury cocktail bars in London" would have trained its staff to speak to their customers particular customers who have frequented the bar at least fortnightly for the last 6 years with some sort of respect! How wrong I was! His response repeated "I told you to get out of my service area I will not serve you at all tonight." When I realised that this guy had basically jumped from 0-1000 in a 2 second time frame I was of course shocked but never at any point raised my voice. By 3 seconds I had sat in the vacant chair and was nowhere near his precious "serving area" which didn't seem so relevant as it was 9pm, extremely quiet and there was not a single other person stood by the bar but my friend and I. When I was no longer at his serving area I just quietly sat down and looked at my phone hoping he would just go away and leave us alone. But I was wrong! He began his rant again "I told you I am not serving you at all." I said to him in the calmest of voices, that that's fine if you don't want to serve me I won't get a drink. All the while thinking that this complete lunatic needs to seek professional help as I literally had done absolutely nothing wrong and moved from his service area within about 3 seconds. My friend was just stood next to me gobsmacked as she couldn't figure out how this man who had now just labelled himself the working manager for that night had behaved over absolutely nothing. Regardless of me then telling him that's fine you don't have to serve me he then said I don't want you here I've had a problem with you before (me and him have never had a conversation that consisted of more than can I please have a strawberry daquiri, thankyou how much is that?) in the entire time I have been there and the time he has worked there. I have no idea what his name is where he's from I don't know him in any capacity. He then ushers the bouncers over with his finger like he is some sort of Royalty and they are his slaves, however they came rushing over. And the guy then said I don't want them here take them out to which I replied still calmly that this is ridiculous we have done absolutely nothing wrong, all the man kept saying was how he can do what he wants as he is the manager and the two security just nodded their heads in agreement. So I said well I can call the police and report racism as I don't see any other grounds under which someone can jump from 0-1000 in 3 seconds when I have remained calm throughout this disgusting ordeal and been more than fair when I realised how erratic this "manager" was. When the manager again told the security he doesn't like me and has had problems with me before which as i said before is a complete lie, the security said oh I can see you have an attitude to which I said what are you talking about and he said you have an attitude now, I said what after I've been told to get out a bar for no reason after coming here for 6 years. That's not an attitude that's called defending myself. Then the security man backtracked and said yeh I know you you have a bit of an attitude, to directly mirror what this manager had just said. This security guard also has never had a conversation with me in his life I have always said thankyou when he's let me go up to attic and that has been the entirety of our conversations. So now I've been insulted by 2 men one just echoing the same as the other and then telling me he doesn't care that I've lived here 6 years as the bar is owned by a separate company so he wasn't interested. I then went to the restaurant downstairs which is owned by the same people as attic and I got about one line into my complaint whilst crying as I knew I'd just been a victim of someone's Friday night frustrations, before the member of staff downstairs said "you don't need to tell me anymore I can completely imagine how it went down as we have problems with him all the time" So if you have problems with this so called manager why the hell is he still employed and acting like he has the customer service skills of someone from the roughest bar in London and not one of the most supposedly luxurious?! This is the million dollar question I guess!

The only high-point for going for this place is its "highpoint". That is, it is perched on top of a 45 storey building, which makes the view, much sought after. But thats about it.Service at the bar was as if, they were doing us a favour by letting us be there and prices were too high. After the view, the next best thing was music. Everything else was a dud! Not the place you would go to, for hanging out with friends over some beers (hardly any!). Better off if this were turned into a Viewing Gallery, with a ticket.

We came here the other night for some drinks and a snacks. The view is absolutely fantastic, highly recommend going just before sunset so you can see it both at day and whilst it is getting dark! Wow, what a view of Canary Wharf! The bar itself is fairly average. The staff were polite but fairly uninterested in serving people. We had to wait about an hour for our meat platter and when we asked one of the bar staff where it was she quite rudely interrupted us mid-sentence saying she would be back to deal with us in a minute, but she never came back. I think that's poor etiquette for somewhere that's supposed to be high-end.Another member of staff noticed we still had no meat platter and brought over some nuts and olives which was a nice gesture.Meat platter itself was fairly average, and I hate to be one of those people who say this, but honestly myself and my partner were quite ill all day yesterday and we did not eat anything else that evening, and only drank 1 bottle of prosecco between us.So yes, this place could be absolutely amazing, if they just tweaked a few of the finer details. With a view like that you could make it somewhere really fantastic. Just a shame that the staff and food really let it down, hence the average rating.

We went there for my friend's birthday party. We were all really excited about this bar as it looks quite fancy on the official website. The view from the 48th floor is quite impressive. The food wasn't too bad. Prices were pretty reasonable for a bar in Canary Wharf, £12-£15 for a cocktail, £8-£10 for a glass of wine. The service, however, was absolutely appalling. Staff look miserable and ignorant. The level of customer service is very very poor. I would understand the slow service if it was crowded and extremely busy, however, my friend and I were the only customers at the bar! We stood there waiting for over 15 minutes, watching four members of staff polishing glasses, chatting, going in circles, cleaning the bar, counting stars, etc - doing everything else apart from actually serving us. It felt like they were ignoring us on purpose. The second time I went to the bar for a second drink, it was a bit busier (by busier I mean 9 people, and yes, I did count them),so we stood there for 30 mins while the bartenders/waiters were doing exactly the same things. By the time I was finally approached by a member of staff, we were ready to go home. Absolutely shocking. I wouldn't visit again.

Having read about The Attic online, my colleagues and I decided to book a table for a Friday night drinks after work. The views from the bar is absolutely lovely and dreamy but that is all that was positive of our experience of the night and which is why I have scored The Attic very low points. The negatives: It was a busy Friday night, but the bar staff were very inexperienced in handling such a crowd, with no sense of direction in serving the customers. People were being served before us when we had arrived before. My friends and I waited over an hour to purchase our drinks, and then to be served by apathetic, uneager bar staff who had no emotions for the fact we had been waiting for so long...and then to be hit by the heavy bill of the drinks during "happy hour", give me a break, add insult to injury! The venue itself has nice decor BUT to most of our horror, the place has unisex toilets. Yes, we live in the modern world, yes, no need to be narrow minded, but personally, that is very very uncomfortable for me. If your visiting such a plush place, and this place is clearly going for the swanky tag (you should see the prices: £5 for a cranberry juice), you can have the decency to provide separate toilets for your guests! We all left the place with the same notion in mind: We're not coming back to this place again.

Firstly, let me prefix this review by saying I’m not the sort of person to leave negative feedback online Ever. I have been to some shocking places in my time, but I just suck it up and put it down to a bad experience. Life is too short, right?Unfortunately I felt compelled to break that rule for the Attic, which is probably the worst place I have ever been in London. And I’ve been to Wood Green. Let that sink in for a moment…To give credit where it’s due, the views are stunning. No arguments on that front. The bar itself is fine, in a kind of dull, soulless chrome-and-glass kind of way. Its location attracts the normal Canary Wharf crowd; the dispirited bourgeoisie of our time. It’s vapid and inoffensive, like most of its patrons. But what the Attic may lack in character it more than makes up for in willfully bad service and infuriating waiting times at the bar. Yes, it was Friday evening. Yes it was busy. I’m not expecting miracles. But to be waiting at the bar for literally an HOUR is unacceptable. Several times the barman ignored me and members of my group to serve, admittedly, more attractive people next to us despite the fact that we were stood directly in front of him. It actually got to the point where it was almost funny. Almost.Standing at this bar, I started to have an existential crisis. Do I even exist? Are any of us even here? Are we having fun yet? Time itself stood still. Someone, in the throbbing crowd, was weeping. It felt like I was trapped in a vortex of unrelenting horror. The staff were languid, surly and simply terrible at their jobs. Frankly, a more charmless bunch you’d struggle to assemble. One girl seemed to be employed purely for the purpose of placing raspberries on top of cocktails her colleague had made. It was just incompetence on a mass scale. It was just awful. Go here if you hate yourself.

I read mixed reviews about this bar so I approached it with caution however I have no complaints whatsoever. We went on a Saturday night for my partners birthday, we were in the area and wanted a few drinks before dinner and this is the only rooftop bar in the area. I emailed them the day before and said we wanted to come up around 5 and they said it would be fine. It is a small bar but it adds to the ambiance. The views from the two balconies are spectacular, one looks directly over Canary Wharf so you are at the same height as the top of most buildings and the other looks out South/East to the O2 etc. I think on a spring/summer evening it would be amazing, shame it was raining that day!I have read that people complained the drinks were too expensive (£10-£15) but being in London I guess I am just used to them prices and between 5pm-7pm is happy hour so you can pick two of the same cocktails from one page on the menu. One of the barmen (can't remember the name) was very helpful, brought drinks over to the table etc.All the tables had 'reserved' signs on them but it seemed that you can sit where you want, no problems, guess this is for later in the night. We stayed until about 7pm and there were 3 bouncers at the bottom of the lift, I read that some people had problems with the bouncers not letting them in or charging them etc but they seemed pleasant to me.Would go back for an evening drink - also intrigued as to how different it is at night (post 10pm) as this is where people seemed to have the problems but I won't prejudge.

Just place to be if you like views of a night city. Mesmerizing. BUT. To get into the bar with no reservation is pretty much impossible, even though it is not that busy. Staff is not very polite as they are sure of their place uniqueness. But view is really worth to try going there at least once.

Not really a chilled night as expected but not a bad place to go sure give more thought and time there would be more places which top the chart then the attic :(

I visited The Attic on the eve of my birthday with my partner, primarily for the views from the 48th floor. I was quite amazed at the views from deck area. I would say the pricing is quite high with little or almost no option for finger food. The cocktails were quite good and the staff was very friendly, not many seats available. All in all an average experience for a person who would enjoy some food with drinks.

The Attic at the 42nd floor of a residential building is one place I love to unwind. Why do I love this place? Many factors: 1. It is one of the lesser known bars in the city and hence not overcrowded. You can always have a relaxed time 2. It offers some of the best views of the city both, the classic London views on one side and the lesser known London (O2 views)3. The people are very friendly and they do nice cocktails4. Its 5 mins walking from where I live. Couldn't be better to get high and walk back home:)Want an offbeat London experience, head to Attic!

Last Saturday I've got business partners with me and after dinner in restaurant decided to go for quick drink at The Attic, it was quite early around 19.30. Downstairs near the lift security asked if we got reservation, I said no because we came only for quick drink, they looked at each other and asked us to pay £10 each(we were 5 off us). Off course I didn't argue and pay £50, when we got upstairs bar was half empty, we found empty table easy, after half en hour another friend joined us, but he wasn't asked for reservation or any fee. So it means that security guys decided that we are not local and ripped us off, put the money into there pockets, because we didn't receive any tickets, stamps, receipts or etc.. Also on the website, I can't found any email address for complains or manager's number. I would appreciate if you could get my money back!!

I recently celebrated my 30th birthday up at Attic Bar, and what an amazing night it was! There were about 25 of us and everybody had a fantastic time. A friend surprised me with a HUGE birthday cake and our waitress rushed off to find us plates and forks and helped us serve it up. Great Service.Like most bars, there are some pros and cons. In my experience at Attic, here are some of them...The pros:- The views over canary wharf and London are spectacular, girls get ready to take selfies galore on the many balconies on offer.- The music. Things really start to kick off around 10pm and the Friday night DJ (Vikesh) is absolutely brilliant. He plays to the crowd and is even open to the odd request. Don't forget your dancing shoes!- The ambiance of the bar. It's beautiful, it's modern, it's fun, it's chic. We reserved two tables and pre-ordered a round of drinks for when we arrived at 9pm. From the moment we walked in, the bar was lively and fun... and by the time we left at about 1am the dance floor was packed! The cons:- Unless you've specifically booked an area and are utilising table service, it's going to take you a while to get a drink at the bar. Be aware of this and don't wait until you're parched before you start lining up ;-) the bartenders are usually making cocktails, and such things take time.- The bouncers (down the bottom before you get into the lifts for Attic Bar) are fussy and often make you wait for a while before they let you up. I think it's mainly for dramatic effect.- The drinks are expensive. A bottle of prosecco is around 35 from memory and they only sell bottled beer. Providing you know what to expect and you've booked ahead of time, this bar is a fabulous find. I would definitely have another birthday party there.

I have visited here twice and on both occasions the service wasn't great: the staff are slow and inattentive and not particularly friendly. Aside from this, the views are excellent, especially as you are offered a different perspective compared with other high-up London landmarks which are centrally located. I would recommend visiting here during the week; the atmosphere is much better as work folk from Canary Wharf tend to frequent here after a long day. Okay, so the thought of drinking with financiers may not appeal, but at least there will be a buzz about the place! Weekends can be a bit dead and soulless, although this may suit you if you're looking for a quiet venue where you can enjoy some (pricey) cocktails. The cocktails themselves are decent enough, but perhaps a bit overpriced given the non-central location and bad service. You're effectively paying a premium for the views. One more thing is that it risks being a bit tacky: the lighting and choice of music detract from what should be a fairly sophisticated outfit. Unfortunately the near-permanent neon glow and blaring sound of Britney made it feel like the sort of place you'd go to in some awful seaside town for some pre-drinks. I can't imagine its intended clientele would appreciate it reaching for the lowest common denominator, so try to stay classy, Attic. Retraining your staff would be a start.

I'm not sure if I come back... The view from this place is really great, despite the fact interior doesn't provide to enjoy the view more and next to window are not really comfy seats, there are balcony where you can go and enjoy more of the view on Canary Wharf, O2 Arena or in direction of Greenwich. I personally don't like the idea of mixed toilets which are here, may be it's strange way how to meet your future half, but you can enjoy the view even from here. We got there quite early so still manage to have some cocktails with happy hour price (£7) and later ordered bottle of red wine (the prices vary £25-£27).The sharing platters we're much better then I expected and portions really enough for two people. We picked the Camembert which was lovely melted in the oven and some meat platter (chorizo, mortadella, prosciutto...) with loads of freshly finished prebaked buns. The service, not really reliable - sometimes she was there when we needed sometimes she forgot about us and there was loads to improve how to approach a customer. Probably we will come back, but just for the view.

She used the phone and she drank drinks in front of the customers. Unbelievable. I have neven seen someone with a behaviour like this. The other waiters were ok and professional.Obviously the price for the drinks was high, from 7 to 15£ each.To sum up, I suggest this place for a drink but just for the view.

If you are in London and would like a high perspective and a cocktail then the Attic is for you. The views are great, and there is access to a viewing gallery. Since The Attic is near Canary Wharf , is the East end of town you will see: the Isle of Dogs Greenwich, and of course the Thames. Go to the ground floor, and ask behind the bar, for directions. Entrance to the lift is not signed and if feels like the wardrobe in the 'Loin the witch and the wardrobe. Its not that cheap, but good value.

They have some strange door policy that you can only enter if you've booked or if you live in the tower block. We were with somebody who owns a flat there and even then there was a heated discussion over whether we would be allowed in. After we eventually got in, the staff were slow and rude. There was a very rude and pushy "toilet attendant". The crowd is full of people that are there to be seen, and girls who are clearly after the men's wallets. Prices are extortionate. That said, the view is absolutely fantastic; probably unrivalled in London.

We were quite miffed to watch the girl make them with prosecco! We pointed out that they should be made with champagne. A male behind the bar said open a champagne so I don't think this was a mistake but more of a regular occurrence. She did make them again with champagne but she wasn't happy about it. If you are paying £10 for a drink you expect to get what the menu states. Nice views but watch the drinks

We pre-booked for a drink or two. Arrived and the bouncer at the top said he didn't have a reservation for us. Fortunately he said since it wasn't busy he'd let us in. So we go in... arrive at the bar and ask for a drinks menu, which we received. Then we go to order some drinks at the bar and they say "sorry no, you need a reservation". Erm what? We thought they were joking as the place was pretty much empty and chilled out. So after deliberating with them for 10 minutes, speaking to the "manager"... we ended up walking away. The bar staff were very rude and seemingly weren't interested at all. They called us liars, that we hadn't booked ahead... we showed them our phone records, and even phoned the number again to confirm the reservation. The managing bartender was exceptionally rude and disinterested. We went to Goodman instead and sat at their bar. It's literally a 3 minute walk away. They gave us free snacks with our wine, and the bartenders were very friendly and much banter was had with them.
