I recently dined at Frankie and Benny’s and unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. The service was subpar, with the waiter taking a full 30 minutes to bring over a simple Coke Zero. This only happened after I reminded him 20 minutes in, and he still had to double-check what I’d ordered. The drink eventually arrived alongside the food, which added to the frustration. As for the food, the Festive Burger was disappointing. The patty appeared undercooked, lacked any real flavour, and didn’t deliver the satisfying crunch I was hoping for. The chips were overly greasy and equally unappealing. Adding to the inconvenience, there were no napkins provided, and I had to request them separately. The dessert was the final letdown. The profiterole dish was frozen solid, making it nearly impossible to eat with the provided spoon – a saw would have been more useful! Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. From lacklustre service to underwhelming food, it’s not somewhere I’d rush back to.

Went with friends for a birthday, had the bottomless brunch. Chose the half lobster and steak, was very disappointed. The quality of both the lobster and steak were inferior, lobster was only ok and the steak was tasteless. The supervisor said it was sirloin, as I have worked in the meat trade I know my stuff and it was not sirloin, possibly flank or skirt. The frozen mojito was lovely. My friends Chose the bbq selection, they said it was lovely. Service was good, was well looked after. Would I go again? Possibly.

We had the most amazing experience. Great service and great people, especially AJ, Alisha, and Titch. We were given a fantastic room as well as complimentary drinks and fruit platter. We will definitely be coming back soon. This is a great hotel, in a very vibrant part of city.. We had a great time.

Disappointed with the food and one of the staff. We went on the first open mic night. Got there early and got a good seat. Ordered some food, but the wrong food arrived, it was going cold by the time the second meal arrived by which time I had figured out who in the pub had ordered what we had delivered and took it to them myself. The food then arrived, my burger was ok but the other meal was just a starter tortillas with cheese and chilli. These are supposed to be large crisps, what we got delivered was the small broken ones from the bottom of the bag, had to be eaten with a spoon. I stopped one of the staff members going past and the look he gave was one of annoyance, like I had just peed on his dog! I asked him when the open mic would start as it was already 30 mins past the advertised start time, he just snorted and said very sarcastically “it’s on down stairs where the loud music is coming from”. No need to take his bad day out on the customers, I had asked very nicely. Apart from that it’s an average British pub, nothing special.

It got super crowded around 6pm and going forward conversations were almost impossible due to the loud background noise. Staff is super friendly and professional though. Food is always great in any Wetherspoons.

Found this by accident after doing the Cable Car across the Thames. Turned up without a reservation and staff VERY accommodating for myself, wife and 3 kids for dinner. Wife and I had the fish supper (that’s fish and chips for the English) stunning - loved the curry sauce along with tartare sauce and mushy peas. Wife had an excellent glass of NZ Sav. Kids meals superb and come with a side of veg. Would throughly recommend.
