I booked a table for lunch for 3 people. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived @ 12.50 pm. We ordered Oysters and Fish cakes followed by Fish and chips, lobster bun and Tuna Nicosia. The fishes were tasty and served hot. Serviced was efficient without being pushy. The bill £157 including tips, drinks and cafe. I would highly recommend Fish! Book or be prepared to queue for a table.

We sadly went with such high expectations after making the reservation online and reading the menu. The atmosphere was great on a Saturday lunchtime and you cannot fault the friendly waiting staff. But the food let it down. The cod fish and chips, the batter was so greasy that as you cut it with a knife the oil seeped out. And the swordfish tasted great but the seasonal vegetables were a laugh. Tucked beneath the swordfish they looked more like a garnish. Very expensive for what was served.

Great Dover sole with bubble and squeak accompanied by a bottle of Chablis. A perfect lunch before an international game of rugby. And the French lost!!

Great food. Service was friendly but a little slapdash. Lots of young waiters who were helpful but. It well trained.

My wife is a coeliac. We were conscientiously warned of the dangers of cross-contamination and accept the problem. Nevertheless my wife was ill. It'd be good if the restaurant, as professionals, took responsibility for the elimination of risk. Ever thought of seeking accredited by the Coeliac Society?

Das Restaurant ist direkt am Borough market. Es hat eine einzigartige Atmosphäre, insbesondere abends. Der Fisch ist super frisch und man hat einen riesige Auswahl. Was ich gut find ist, dass kein Theater um die Sachen gemacht wird, es gibt gegrillten Fisch, Beilagen dazu und das in super Qualität. Ohne großes Tamtam. Die Preise sind nicht sehr günstig, aber dafür bekommt man auch was. Der Service ist exzellent.

Fish soup delicious but fish and chips pretty much flavorless and very greasy

Fantastic food. The staff were friendly and attentive and the service was quick. There were 5 of us and we all had different things and had three courses. The food was fabulous. We all enjoyed it.

Great food and service good location near public transport links if I had to find any fault we visited on a Saturday evening it was very busy but did not effect the service or food but was noisy and nowhere to hang your coats

Busy weekend lunchtime. Best to book. Good fish that can be cooked to your preference. A variety of daily specials. Efficient friendly service. Quite noisy just from conversations and tables that are close together. Good for casual dining. Not cheap but pricing seemed fair for the quality of food and service.

Best fish and chips in London! That said, all of the food is great. Attentive service as well. Good mix of classic as well as non-alcoholic cocktails.

If you like fish and a down to earth environment staffed by wonderful people then this is the place to go.

Decepcionante segunda visita. Prepárate para ser completamente estafado si optas por la opción de pescado a la parrilla. Si bien el atún de mi amigo y mi pez espada estaban geniales, no creemos que una cuchara de repollo de postre constituya cada uno “vegetal de temporada” como se describe en el menú. Ni siquiera se podía ver la “vegetalidad” cuando el plato llegó como estaba debajo del pescado, esperábamos que llegara un plato lateral de verdura adicional, ya que era una ofrenda tan mísera. Por 25 libras. 50 y £ 24. 50 cada plato esto solo puede ser descrito como una estafa!

Ordered grill tuna and grilled swordfish. In our opinion a dessert spoon of cabbage each does not constitute ‘seasonable veg’ on a main dish. Overpriced and under delivered. Won’t be returning or recommending.

We were looking for a high quality fish restaurant and we found it. We sat indoors against the window which was lovely. Service was excellent, attentive, polite and efficient. The fish and chips are superb a range of fish with mushy peas freshly made tartare sauce. I had the Halibut which was beyond belief, the herb garlic butter sauce being a perfect accompaniment. Washed down with two manhattan cocktails. Superb.

Great menu for fish lovers, not unreasonably priced a lovely venue, but the service was hit and miss, despite the non discretionary service charge being nudged up from the now customary 12.5 to 13.5%. Why oh why do restaurants effectively abandon diners after the main course? It leaves a sour taste in the mouth but also presents a missed opportunity for selling-it took us 2-3 goes and about 10 minutes to attract someone’s attention to order coffee and dessert, including the woman who appeared to be the manager who was too busy laying tables to look up and see if her customers were being looked after, properly or at all. An additional observation is that the cutlery is too big and heavy for the tables-at least 4 people dropped or knocked it on the floor while we were there.

Always go here for lunch meetings but only gave 4 for food as the grilled squid we ordered was not entirely cooked as there were portions that were very rubbery

Another very good visit. A few dishes not available which was slightly disappointing. Service very good but was not overly impressed being reminded about leaving a tip when service was already automatically added to the bill. Overall still highly recommended.

Cena ultimo dell'anno Non avevamo prenotato,ma sono stati molto carini e appena si è liberato un posto,ci hanno fatto accomodare Locale molto carino,personale gentilissimo e ottimo pesce Mangiato branzino con verdure e salsa con olio e aglio Buonissimo ! Amici invece hanno mangiato orata e fish and chips altrettanto buoni Il ristorante si trova praticamente sotto il ponte del Tower Bridge vicino al mercato Prezzo magari non troppo economico,ma siamo a Londra !! Da provare

All is very good. Fish and Chips is very very delicious. I come back the next time in London.

We knew we had an hour and 45 minutes for the booking but to sternly remind us of this the moment we arrived was unpleasant. Then the server was spoken to when we were handed across to go to our table with earshot of us with the words ‘They have an hour and 45’. This was very rude and gave the air of us being an inconvenience. This was underpinned by being served all three courses within 45 minutes. We felt the only thing they were keen to do was for the bill to be paid. We never wish to go there again

First a confession - I am biased. Fish! is one of my favourite places to eat in London, for a decade or longer. Fish! sets a high bar in terms of food, ambience, and service. Each time I go, it suprasses that bar. Their new Thai fish cakes are excellent, yet so is everything else. And to leave Fish! and then go into a vibrant Borough Market in the sunshine of the height of winter complements and completes the dining experience of Fish!

Over rated. Had just a few 'ends of chips' and a very small piece of fish. Other people complained and got money off the bill. We couldn't be bothered. They are too full of tourists, to seem to care. Service was slow because staff were so overwhelmed. Will not be be back.

Down hill.. Cod and chips - 23.50 - thimble of peas, dry fish, handful of chips Grilled halibut - 36.50 - tail part - seasonal vegrable was lettuce Coca- cola - £5 is taking rhe ick Creme brulee - very good Latte - no semi-skimmed milk, lukewarm warm

A really lovely meal, the crab starter was delicious if a little small and the bubble and squeak was top notch!

This was honestly the best restaurants I have been . I really enjoyed my self and the food was exeptional ! I got the fish special with mussels and clams and my husband the fish and chips . I usually love Fish! but the welcome and the food did not overall live up to the usual standard this time around. That being said, the table service was excellent and the starters were very good.

Excellent service. On the whole great food. Calamari was not the best. Served cold. And coating was too crisp and too much of it. Starter seafood salad was wonderful. As was the roast halibut. Sardines starter was great. Chips were overcooked. So a bit mixed. But will return.

Went for a family Birthday. Good service from the waitress. Nice ambience in a light and bright setting. Large menu with plenty of choices. Portions were generous and well priced. Only vegetable option of white cabbage did not really compliment the beautifully cooked tuna steak. Would have preferred the mackerel without the herbed topping as it did not really enhance the fish. Desserts were good and the candle in the ice cream for the birthday was a thoughtful touch. Overall we enjoyed a lovely family meal.

Great service, delicious food and lovely atmosphere

Really efficient service. The food was delicious- I can recommend the Fish Finger sandwich from a taste point of view, but don’t expect to be able to eat it like a sandwich! It is served in very thick sourdough bread which is way too big to lift and eat, you have to deconstruct it, which is a bit of a pain. The portions are generous.

Went for the fish pie as it never disappoints. My companion remarked that there were no prawns in it this time but the flavours were delicious and the waiter explained that they use the best ingredients available on the day, which makes sense. Also tried the Christmas version sticky toffee pudding - very good. All washed down with a carafe of white, a very enjoyable meal. The restaurant was quite full and loud but frankly compared with the bedlam outside in the market, which was heaving with tourists, it was an oasis.

nice food, although they insist on sticking paper under the fish n chips to soak up the fat they couldn't bother draining before it goes on the plate. Additionally they serve the very same fish n chips outside at a fraction of the cost in the restaurant. a fraction!

We had a lovely meal with very attentive and friendly staff. If I was running it, I’d be tempted to drop the lighting just a touch in the evening but it was a lovely meal and experience.

Been to Fish many times. Service is always excellent. I has fish soup with was rich and tasty but too much chilli. Partner had muscles - excellent and red mullet special-again usual standard of excellence. I had grilled halibut which was very expensive and overcooked so it became dry and tasteless. In all other ways an excellent experience. Never had this issue before. We will be back

The three of us each chose something different so we had a good selection. Each dish was delicious and portion size good. Cocktails are expensive and the choice limited but worth it for a special occasion. We opted out of starters as those at a reasonable price were limited and instead went for desserts. These about the same price as you would find elsewhere but a good selection. Quite expensive overall with the mandatory service charge (£75 per head) but this included 2 courses, cocktail, wine and a couple of snacks (olives) so probably average for this part of London. Would definitely recommend for the atmosphere, great service and if you are a fan of fish!

We really enjoyed everything we had. I asked for a slight variation on my main course, which was done without any fuss. The food & the service are always excellent, which is why I return as often as I can.

Food was decent but over priced for the value. Cocktail menu was great if you like Gin. For the food, everything drenched in dressing or sauce, taking away from the seafood. Service was the worst we had in London. Asked for condiments, they didn’t come. Server never checked on us once after appetizers were delivered, 30 min later a different server came to check on us and we asked for bill and left without ordering mains.

Table really small for 2people it’s like table for 1, couldn’t even fit a finger bowl on the table to wash your hands , knocked over the bottle of water on the table far to small , food and service was good

Long term FISH diner, last time a year ago. Several changes evident, smaller portions, although still delicious. Increased prices and service charge up to 13.5% That nearly caused an issue because although the restaurant was only just beginning evening service our server was very casual about taking our order, providing a wine list, clearing our table, providing the bill. Food still very tasty, but service needs a bit of work. I was a minute a away from chopping the 'optional' charge.

Had fish and chips. Foor was good but both chips and peas were cold. Dessert was (bread and butter pudding with creme Anglaise (custard). pudding was cold in the middle suggesting not defrosted properly. Staff were excellent throughout and this is very different to a previous visit.

I been before but felt the food wasn’t a good as before- the Thai fish cakes were dry, the fish and chips ordinary and the Basque cheesecake was quite salty, the creme brulee was pasty with cornflour- perhaps weekday chef was different or cost saving on recipes as issue- the ladies next to us complained about watery fish pies so I think the manager needs to quality check before things slip further

We arrived early but they seated us very quickly, which we very much appreciated. Excellent very fresh fish, and highly efficient and friendly service.

Second visit in three weeks and just as good as it was last time. Will go again but maybe leave it a while!
