Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, clean and comfortable. Wonderful fish and chips, breading was just right and not greasy. Thank you.

Wanted to go to a pub with friends, as less formal than a restaurant, suited us perfectly. Service in the bar great, food timely and friendly allround.

Very poor service and lack of engagement from the staff. Essentially it's a soulless pub . Might do the job on a busy night if you're only looking for a pint of lager.

We popped in for an early dinner before going to a christmas party. The pub looked very welcoming and cosy with all the christmas lights etc. Had a warm welcome from the staff. Good selection of beers/ales. We both ate chilli which was very tasty with a nice kick to it - it wasn't a massive portion but it was just enough to keep us going!

The service at Prince Edward seems to vary greatly depending on the staff working. We've been to this pub many times over the years. Yesterday, on Friday, October 6, 2023, we were there and received excellent service and great food. Today, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, we had a reservation. When we arrived at 7:00 PM, we were completely ignored. No one came to our table for 20 minutes, and after that, we chose to leave the place. The staff at the pub actively avoided us even though we were actively seeking their attention. As we left, we informed the staff that we had a reservation but were now leaving due to the lack of service. A member of the staff who was drying glasses nodded in response. In fact, we won't be returning and will be looking for a new favorite pub.

Average food at a reasonable price served by largely disinterested staff. Slow service, poor communication and few if any airs and graces. Disappointing

Haven’t been here since the Covid-19 I’m happy that the new manager restored the Sky and BT Sports, thus we can come back to enjoy the football and the delicious menu, specifically the Sunday roasts Staff are good

Se siete alla ricerca di un pub inglese tradizionale, questo fa per voi. Ambiente rilassato, cortese, con arredi in legno e luci soffuse. Buoni gli hamburger, ottimo (e gigante) il fish and chips, gran varietà di birra e anche vino a modici prezzi (bottiglie da 20 sterline cad). Molto molto consigliato.

Numa recente viagem a Londres, ficamos em Bayswater, num hotel próximo do pub The Prince Edward, na tranquila Princes Square. Num almoço em dia chuvoso, a qualidade da comida, tipicamente britânica, e a simpatia dos funcionários (sempre atentos a questões de alergias, por exemplo) logo captaram a nossa atenção. Voltamos outras duas vezes. O clássico fish & chips, com todos os seus pertences, hamburgers suculentos, o Sunday Roast… delicioso. Voltaremos!

Very meh. Food was mediocre at best and staff wasn’t very friendly. Better choices close by. Unfortunately, we brought friends to visit London and this was their first pub experience. It was disappointing. Luckily we did better the next night.

Went before a show to this lovely London pub. The service was great and the team tried their very best. However no white wine is odd and food was ok without being spectacular. I normally am very positive but maybe it was just an off day.

A very nice pub set back off the beaten track so in a lovely quiet location. Lovely staff who were very helpful and personable. Inside it was pretty quiet as well for a Sunday evening. The decor is very sympathetic to an authentic pub atmosphere and outside there are a number of seats and tables. It was a very pleasant place to while away an hour or so in peace and quiet before setting off on the 10 minutes walk to the bustling Queensway for something to eat.

This could perhaps be the best Fish and Chips in London , great atmosphere , friendly staff . My wife had the Chilli Burger and loved it . All in all a great experience , will 100% go back to try out more from that menu .

I stayed there for about 2 minutes till I found out it’s another one of those places that won’t accept legal tender as a form of payment. It should be the customers choice of how to pay so I won’t be going back.

The Prince Edward is a very nice, spacious, community pub in the heart of Bayswater. Ales from Hall & Woodhouse are served including Badger Best, Tanglefoot and a very drinkable Fursty Ferret. There is also a wide choice of wines and other alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks available....

Mum and daughter weekend in London. Heard great reviews about this place and thought we’d give it a try. Honestly the best burger we’ve ever had. Not busy when we arrived but soon picked up! Glad we got here when we did. Brilliant service would highly recommend.

Prima di partire per Londra ho prenotato in questo Pub ristorante in quanto ben recensito in occasione del compleanno della mia compagna. Arrivati a Londra ci siamo recati nel locale la sera del 2 dicembre come da prenotazione e in modo sorprendente ci hanno detto che la cucina non funzionava e potevano darci solo cibi freddi, per me è inconcepibile potevano tranquillamente avvisarci e avremmo trovato un alternativa per tempo, invece visto ormai l’orario abbiamo mangiato qualche piatto freddo di poca qualità e ovviamente cena di compleanno rovinata! In Italia non sarebbe mai capitato!

The Prince Edward was only about 30m from my hotel on Princes Square. Visited 2 or 3 times for coffee (very good), a drink and dinner. Food was delicious, but portions way too big for me. Excellent value for money, friendly staff. Lovely ambience.

Este Pub es recomendable para ir a tomar unas pintas e incluso comer algo de forma tranquila, la cerveza es bastante buena y la comida, lejos de lo que estamos acostumbrados en España, resulta muy aceptable.

Wir waren zu dritt zum Abendessen dort, hatten einmal Fish & Chipcs, einmal Burger und einen Pie. Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Portionen ausreichend groß. Die Preise waren mit ca. 12-15 Pfund noch akzeptabel. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl leckerer Biere, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Lage ist sehr gut.

We had just landed in London a few hours before and I had already checked out what pubs were nice and handy to us in Princes Square in London. The Prince Edward didn't disappoint a lovely welcome from the bar staff and we chose a table inside. It was a beautiful evening with people already sitting outside with their dogs and husbands! Very nice menu and we ordered some our first London ales which were superb after a long flight. Meals arrived and they went down a treat. The atmosphere was really good and wished we had the energy to stay but too jetlagged. Thank you Prince Edward for a brilliant start to our London experience we will return one day.

Since i'm a regular guest of the Hotel next door, i'm also a regular at The Prince Edward. The Pub is really a great place for food, which has never disappointed and drinks. The staff is always friendly. Get there and have fun !

Come ci si può benissimo aspettare, è il tipico pub inglese, lo si percepisce dall'esterno, con la conformazione del locale e dall'insegna che riporta gli eventi di rugby che verranno trasmessi, l'interno, caratteristico con arredi in legno e luce soffusa, rispecchiano a pieno il tema.

If I lived in London, I would live in Bayswater so this could be my "local" pub. Nice friendly mix of locals from the area. Great food and friendly staff.

Lovely old pub with a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the service was prompt. We were there on a Sunday night which was roast night. The servings were extremely generous and tasty. We liked it so much their we went back the following night.

Why i won’t give it a 1* they have free WiFi, however it only works in some places so it’s not great, but useful if you don’t get any signal in there, like me.

Nice atmosphere and good selection of food and drinks. We had the belly pork and we really enjoyed. Would recommend.

Cuando nos quedamos en el área de Kensington / Notting Hill de Londres, encontramos el Prince Edward Pub y comimos pescado y papas fritas. El servicio, la comida y el ambiente fueron tan buenos que volvimos dos veces más, incluso cuando el equipo de fútbol femenino de EE. UU. Ganó la Copa del Mundo. La comida era realmente buena, así que utilizamos este pub como base para un lugar local para comer. Recomendaríamos este pub a cualquiera.

This is a traditional pub in Bayswater where the food is good, the service is good however it is a little pricey!

Pub short walk from Tube Station, Hotels, on a corner, with big windows. Renovated, well. Good beers/ variety on tap. Especially Real Ales.Service very good.

This was a lovely place for lunch with my daughter, but even lovelier as a dinner spot the next evening. The risotto peppers were delicious. The staff friendly & loved sitting outside under their flower baskets! Lively but not noisy.

We ate here twice while staying in Bayswater. The menu is pub food--fish and chips, burgers and a fabulous Sunday dinner. Enjoyed by even the picky eaters in our family!

You need to improve your client service quality; yours instalations, and beds.... we paid for a different kind of room and it was assigned another kind of room; the space was very, very small.- The people in Reception, was not very kind; and they didnt was empathic

We stopped in here while in London on a family vacation. Nice ambiance, good food, they allow dogs inside which was great! We got to get our dog fix while we were missing our own pups back home. The outside looked inviting so decided to try The Prince Edward. Inside it’s a typical pub. Entering takes you directly to the bar, then you have a choice of eating in the bar, in the small “dining room” or the limited spaces outside. I sat in dining room and ordered the fish n chips. I was the only person in the dining room and yet had to go to the bar to order because the bar staff wouldn’t come over......even though they are supposed to wait on the tables. Once I placed my order the food was served in a timely fashion. The wooden table top was sticky. The food was hot but tasteless...and they advertise this as a specialty! The Prince Edward is best as a bar for drinking and talking with friends. With so many options in London that have better food and friendlier staff I won’t be returning to The Prince Edward.

Pub vicino a dove alloggiamo, siamo andati per cena. Locale in tipico stile pub inglese. Personale giovane e disponibile. Servizio veloce, ma non era molto affollato. Abbiamo ordinato classico fish ‘n chips e birra. Fish untissimo con impanatura tutt’altro che croccante... chips nella norma, salse di accompagnamento niente di che. Musica a volume alto. C’è tanta altra scelta... non torno.

Not only was the food amazing so was the service. We opted for the Sunday Roast, it was huge and after travelling for the past 8 days it was just what we needed.

Abbiamo avuto modo di cenare più volete in questo pub e ci simao tornati con piacere. La cucina è ottima (Abbiamo provato piatti tipici londinesi come la pie di carne, il fish and chips e dolci come lo sticky toffie). La scelta delle birre non è ampia ma se ci si fa consigliare e si provano delle birre locali si ha la possibilità di provare qualcosa di buono e non le classiche birre commerciali.

Had dinner one day and the meals were quite good. The second time (Sunday Roast) was poor. My wife had the roast beef and it was dry and the whole meal was warm. I had the lamb roast and the lamb was not as dry but the entire meal was lukewarm. The Yorkshire pudding was tiny, I saw another couple's meal and the Yorkshire pudding was much bigger - what's up with that? The meal took quite a while to come out so sending it back would have meant more delay.

So, first off, this a great little location near Notting Hill, really close to our hotel and we'd have probably gone back, however.... We came in and ordered dinner at about 9, was is a bit late, but it was still light out and there were three other tables that had just come in as well. Veronica was first to our table to take our drink order and was going to come back to get our food order but she was beat to it by another waiter (didn't get his name but had a distinct neck piercing, doesn't matter to me, just made me remember him) so this fellow took our order. After a very long wait, I would say at least an hour, he brought our daughter's meals.... But that was it. Nothing for myself or my husband. We were starved after a full day of traveling and he forgot to put our food in. This definitely put a damper on our first night in London. They managed to finally get our food out, but by then our daughters had finished eating and we were exhausted. The pie of the day tasted great, even if it was late but the fish and chips were just okay. Veronica finally stopped by our table again and she's so sweet we all were sad that she hadn't waited on is the whole time.

Enjoyed a fantastic time at their pub followed by dinner the following day. In both cases we (party of 7) received excellent service and both the drink and food were top notch. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed a meat pie and a pint on our recent vacation. This pub was a short walk from our hotel in Kensington Gardens.

The pub is located in the heart of Notting Hill Gate and Bayswater. It has a welcoming vibans cosy atmosphere and the food is delicious!! We had Sunday Roast dishes (I had the lamb and my partner had the beef) and they were both superb!!! Great value for money and the portions were nice and well served!

Nas andanças por Notthing Hill, boa opção para um Lunch. Aproveitamos e vimos uma rodada da Premier League com boa comida (fish&chips; / pea) e chopp! Vale a pena!

We had just arrived at our hotel and needed a quick lunch. The guy painting the building outside recommended the Prince Edward. What a fortunate piece of advice! Highly recommend this gastro pub to anyone who wants ambience and a great meal.
