Pret a Manger in City of London, Westminster

We come here every Sunday, despite their WiFi is very bad and always not having signal, the atmosphere general is not bad, lots of space. Occasionally some staff are unwilling to serve, like any other reviews here, sometime they just ignore your existing. One time the manager shout out to other staff, which is not professional yet not helping on the service quality I believe. Food not the best, the sandwiches are made with tiny bit ingredients with their prices increased, not worth the value. The air con is on even it’s 19 degrees, kind of unnecessary. The music background sometime is good but sometime is weird, that doesn’t give you those cafe chilling vibe.

Not world's best coffee by any means

Got to one from front of queue today - 2 cashiers but one taking time with their order. person in front with other cashier paid and I moved forward . The cashier ignored me (and the large queue behind me) to go off and rearrange some Danish pastries further along the counter . Felt like I was invisible. He came back but still didn’t bother to try and serve despite growing queue. I had to get to work and with no sign of anyone being willing to take my money , I out my purchase back and left . Yes it’s a busy shop but it’s one of the worst for getting through the orders

Stopped for some refreshments, loved the airy basement, a tranquil space in the bustle of London.

Amazing staff, Coffee quality obviously awfully ( nothing to do with the staffs ) Quality of the beans are awful Basically the mindset and approach of these big companies towards coffee needs to be changed and improved . They won't even lose money or minimise profits by serving good stuffs.

They forget about order and say to order again. They don't like customers. They need to change staff. Even the taste is different from another pret cafes.

A cafe with branches spread across London His coffee is fairly reasonable The sandwiches are very good This branch has a large seating area in the basement. It also has outdoor chairs. They have made-to-order coffee items. What's special is that they have a monthly subscription through which you can drink 5 hot drinks without paying.

I visit this Pret every morning on my way to work here fast service, friendly and best staff, really nice atmosphere and great coffee. 5⭐️ for the staff 😉. I can't imagine starting my morning anywhere else.

i have ordered the white tea and the porridge. i have asked the staff about the honey and the order was repeated for a few times. after waiting for a period of time i see other customer getting the order while mine is not there so i asked. then the staff who got my order said she has not got the order of the tea. the conversation was a bit rude. maybe it was because she was the manger and not supposed to serve. another staff got my order and served me. it was the rudest service i have got so far in pret…

I come at least 5 times a week and at least once, normally twice a week they forget what I order and I have to remind them I'm waiting for a drink. I got charged twice this morning and then got made the wrong drink after I reminded the guy what I was waiting for, then he dropped a bag of straws on the floor, which he scooped back into a bag and put back behind the counter. Literally disgusting, I'm going to starbucks from now on

Delicious, fresh food as always. Tasty organic coffee. Chef's Italian salad is my favourite. Highly recommended.

It's very dirty, you pay for the toilets no paper no soap, SHAMEFUL and the drink has no taste!!! A glass of water is better France is expensive but at least we don't make fun of you

toilets were a health & safety hazard, some taped shut, one prised open, soiled, blocked, smelling....unusable,unbelievable. i told staff, they should have immediately been taken out of use. i don't think they were...how can you order food after going in !? ty pret team for getting in touch & letting me know measures including staff training will prevent this happening in the future.

Ordered a drink, but no sweetener available. Asked at counter, only to be told "we don't have any". Not good at all 😕

The customer service of this place its basically not found. I'm a regular customer because I'm working near this place but always the same problem, they have tables outside but the people who is sitting out side most of the times they don't have anything from pret a manger, usually they have MacDonalds and is very hard for me to found a free table. If Im tell this to a manager the only answer I got is literally :"I don't mind, they can be sit-down there". I don't understand...I'm a customer with my coffee that I can not enjoy the tables outside because they don't want to tell the people they can not be sit down because they are not customers from pret a manger. simple! Very bad experiences here

Staff and especially the manager could be more polite. She could also motivate the employees instead of giving orders. Regarding Pret's values and principles, should be more vigilant with their leadership.

Pret is incredibly popular, and the food is rather good for a food chain.

Short-staffed, but they were polite and worked fast to get people served. My coffee and food were fine. I sat at a counter, facing towards the Square, looking at a lot of dirt and dust on the top of light fittings and around the windows. It's a sunny spot, but it did highlight the need for proper cleaning.

Good environment to sit and enjoy a cup of chai or coffee. Customer service was great.

most of the time I wouldn’t have any good experience in pret so I’d choose something else, but then I found this one on my way to work & even got a subscription! The girls who’re working there at 6am shift (mon-friday) are absolutely amazing, so welcoming & professional. I’ve tried my flat white in other pret and nothing is close to how they’re making it. As a person who’s working in customer service for more than 7 years I’m really impressed how nice they’re are at this time of the day 😭 thank you for making my mornings more managable ♥️

Changing to 1 star - was stopped by the manager to take my cup away and clean the table. She said that she is not a cleaner. - wow - you don’t stop a customer. Escalated to head office

The staff at this branch of Pret are so rude! They treat customers appallingly and have no idea of what good customer service is. I'm so disappointed that Pret is employing such low quality employees. They seem to all know each other and are more interested in chatting amongst themselves in a foreign language!

The most rotten experience in a Pret (and I've been going to Pret since the 1990s when there was a singl;e branch in Leicester Square). I wanted to use the toilet and the manager Elise refused unless I bought something. I offered to show her evidence of how frequently I buy from Pret via my Internet banking and she said she didn't care. Her manner was arrogant and sneering. I know hospitality is hard and anybody reading this might wonder if I'm telling the full story (some customers can, of course, be very rude). But even at the time, she agreed I was being polite. She said that customers make the toilet dirty so they restrict it to those who pay. I have no entitlement to use the toilet but being treated like something you wipe off your shoe has never been part of the 'old' Pret experience. After discussing it for a while, she turned her back on me and started cleaning tables. Good work, Pret. There are lots of places that haven't almost breached the £4 for a coffee, and ultimately customers will vote with their feet.

Food and coffee was as always. The staff confused the orders of the customers and the toilets were very stinky and there was no toilet paper. If the toilets have these bad state, i m wondering of the general hygiene of the shop.

A nice place to stop for a breakfast or for just a cup of coffee/drinks

I passed by a few times for coffee & almond croissant (my all time favourite at Pret) over the summer months and sadly I am not a great fan of this branch. The attitude of some of the staff is curious as referred to by a previous reviewer. They ought to take note - rudeness by serving staff is disgraceful.

We had visited pret a manger yesterday 23rd Dec 2023 and were startled by the misdemeanor of a staff member. We were with a kid and were looking out for place to sit before we placed an order. He was bearded and very very rude. My daughter was hungry and tired but he insisted that first place an order and only then look for a place. When we enquired if there was room to sit downstairs, he plainly refutted. There was no smile on his face nor any welcoming attitude. When we got to the counter to place an order he plainly said I can't promise any place to sit. We were quite dissatisfied with his behaviour and it certainly calls for the management's attention to train your staff to speak with kindness. Honestly, we are never visiting you again.

Very dirty branch of Pret. The toilets were vile. All windows and inside glass work was extremely dirty. Not what you normally get from a pret shop. It needs a good clean. Very disappointing indeed.

😡😡😡Imagine it's cold on the street, you went to buy coffee, but there are seven people in line ... you ask permission to use the toilet for your girlfriend, and the baristas answer: "first buy something and only then go to the toilet!" this kind of hospitality is needed. It seems that this is the poorest cafe in the city🥴

If you need to grab some fresh food and perfectly roasted coffee before your flight or while taking a break from the shopping, this is the place to go. You can also enjoy the view on Bond Street station (specially during rush hour)

I go into this branch early Monday and Friday morning for my coffee before teaching my pilates sessions. The staff are always so cheerful and friendly and always have great service with a smile which helps me start my day off. Coffee is always good too ❤️

As usual my day starts with coffee, i paid money for egg sandwich and coffee , crew member didn’t serve me with good coffee, as she tried to give old one which is not hot, I waited 3 to 5mins,at last I went out because i was getting late for my work, so please make sure people get what they deserve for money. Please take care of this issue. Thank you .

The staff at Hanover pret store are beyond nice! They’re all very welcoming and always greeting me with a warm smile! I get my order made before I even order. I absolutely love all the team!

The worst pret I have ever been in London. They can’t even answer a simple question than being rude to the customer. These sort of people are not at all being worthy of working in this sector. Even if they are unhappy with the work they don’t have to take it on the customer as without us u can’t do business. So Pret be careful while hiring ur staff.

Pret still hasn't worked out how to serve drinks so there is an order to the service. It's just everyone for themself all claiming a black coffee.

The staff are hard working and lovely here. A quick bite or coffee it's fab. I have the subscription and these guys make it worth, they have a close team which makes it so much better than the rest in a tough location.

A great place to grab something quick on the go. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups. They also offer pastries, coffee and fruits.

Never has a chicken salad sandwich. The majority of sandwiches have ham or bacon in them. I don't eat pork or tuna and would love to have a chicken sandwich.

Awesome place must visit again. In the busiest life outside it's nice place to grab a coffee and relax

I have complained to Pret numerous times on cleanliness and these photographs I took, say it all. First time to this branch. One of the worst. Badly laid out and filthy beyond words. The gentleman and his son next to me had to clean the table themselves. He went to ask staff but they wouldn't do it. Shocked? They were tourists as well. What impression does this give for them? The tables were filthy. Floors were covered in crumbs as were chairs. In the 2 hours I sat in, nobody cleared. The branch is badly laid out with chairs and tables too close, you can barely move upstairs without knocking someone. Downstairs was better. If we have another pandemic, Pret will be to blame! I only come for the coffee subscription. I expect the standard stupid Pret response telling me their sorry but as usual nothing is done!

Stopped here for a coffee whilst walking round the west end. The service and coffee was fine but you need to be careful in this pret as 2 Eastern European women tried to steal my wife’s phone by trying to distract her and put a sheet of paper over her phone. We told the management so hopefully they can address the situation

I like this place and there are many people trying to use their laptops... unfortunately it is suitable just to send emails as the internet connection is extremely slow

10.1.2023 I was served by a very pleasant member of staff. Baguette was tasty. Very popular so sometimes ever table is taken.

My go-to Pret in London. One of the few London Prets that does smoothies and iced drinks with loads of seating! Cons: no charging points available

I had just arrived in London from the U.S. that day and I had met a friend in downtown London. So, we stopped to get a snack as I was hungry. The place was crowded in the middle of a weekday, I assume that most of the other customers were people shopping, as this restaurant is located near the heart of the downtown London shopping district. I ordered two tuna fish sandwiches and a couple of sodas. The sandwiches were OK, nothing special, what you expect at a restaurant like this. We went downstairs to talk, which was quiet and had nice, comfortable chairs.

Worst Pret I've been to in all of my travels. I don't know who runs this place but it may as well be no one, cause the employees run about like they have no clear role. If you want a quick coffee, just go right next door to Starbucks

Very busy but you can get a seat, which is great. A bit chaotic staff, often empty shelves but there is something to find to eat.

Cheap, quick and consistent. Really like the meatball sandwich and the classic jambon beurre.

Cafe: Absolutely huge, such a nice downstairs area, completely different from others I've been to for a dine in experience. it's like a pret's 5* version of their cafés. Staff: Are very kind and helpful

Front of house was good. Staff very friendly. The toilets were horrendous though. Wouldn’t advise visiting the loos if you are squeamish.

Lovely spacious Pret with friendly staff and tasty food!

Once they charged me for eating porridge on the spot, but as far as I know, there is no extra charge for a hot meal. The next time the seller also wanted to do the same, but I did not agree. On the other hand, when I asked for seeds for the porridge, he replied that Pret no longer served the seeds. But the next day in another Pret, these seeds were already available.

They forget my order all the time. This time after 20mins of waiting, I asked for my chocolate shake for the 3rd time and the answer was "I've got only one blender" which I understand, however I was alone waiting for my drink for ages and then they served everyone else who came well after me. After asking he still rather made drinks for other people who just walked in.... I walked out without a drink because he didn't seem like he was going to make my drink next after his comment... This is not the first time this happened to me... It's not worth having a subscription if I don't get my drinks on a regular bases and I end up walking out... So cancelling it.

Bit slow when busy early mornings

At 1.40 very few choices of sandwiches and baguettes. Would have left but was short on time. Tables generally messy. I've used this Pret whenever I'm in Oxford St. Won't any more

Good working stuff but their smoothie machine it’s always “ broken”.Or at least this is what they always say…. so you can never get a smoothie even if it is in their menu…If it s broken, just replace it…

Went in to this store & they wouldn’t accept a £50 note for a £20 sale, I asked why & was told it was a company policy, I tried to explain that company’s are not able to decide what notes they wish to accept & if it’s legal tender & is in current circulation then it has to be accepted., then out of nowhere a aggressive & extremely rude member of staff comes & gets involved who’s name I believe to be Abdul, raising he’s voice & throwing he’s arms around like he ready for a fight, I told him to calm down & that I was only having a conversation with the cashier. He was so aggressive he’s manger & work mate had to drag him away into the a room, as they could see he lost control. There was a lady next to me who’s daughter got scared & customers in the queue were shocked with his behaviour. May I suggest if Abdul has personal issues in his life he doesn’t take them out on his customers. I would not be visiting this branch in the near future Definitely don’t recommend this store for anyone
