A classy pub, great beer on tap (and soft drinks), and amazing service from Brad and everyone on the team we interacted with. Had a fantastic roast and burger, great value. Will always come back whenever in the area.

Brought a friend for a Sunday roast today, was hoping to impress! Unfortunately not the case, the roast was a good portion size but seriously lacking in flavour, gravy very thin, roast potatoes were not good potentially finished in fryer..... Ordered cauliflower cheese on the side and it was so bland I sent it back uneaten! Mega disappointment, uneaten plate sent back to the kitchen. A roast is a classic English dish and should be amazing! Instead an utter disappointment.

We were at a wedding for about 80 people. The food was pretty good, the atmosphere great, but there was one stand-out star. Annie is a dynamo! She moves at lightning speed making everything happen and still has time for a cheery smile and a kind word. Worth her weight in gold!! Thanks Annie - you made our night!!

Had an excellent birthday meal at the county arms. Our amazing server Brad anticipated our needs and saw that we had everything we needed despite the pub being so busy. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. Thank you for helping us have a wonderful evening.

Fantastic pub with great service and a gorgeous garden. Will 100% be back. The Roast Chicken was delicious! and the service from all staff was great. The team can't do enough for you from the moment you walk in. Can't wait to return!

Went for lunch here with a family relative - we live locally and wanted to support our local pub- what a disappointment! What is so difficult about preparing a couple of fish and chips and a burger and why does it seem that pub after pub in this country can’t get it right?! It’s our national dish, right? Firstly there was so much batter on the measly portion of fish that it made it look twice the size! A handful of average oven cook fries and two TINY pots of…. Curry sauce? What?! I’m wanting fish and chips not a curry!! And what was in the other pot? Surely not mushy peas- aren’t they green? Oh gosh don’t tell me they were some other Indian accompaniment?! Were we in the wrong restaurant? And the burger? My husband ordered a cheeseburger but he couldn’t find the cheese!! And where was the bacon? Oh and there was no salt and pepper on the table. An utterly disappointing meal - I can’t believe this pub is one of our locals- we will not be visiting again- Young’s- you have been warned! 😩

My son had a cricket match across the road. We popped in for a plate of chips. Beautiful room, fast and tasty food. The thing that surprised me was the extraordinary level of customer service. Olivia, a young server, saw to our every need with kindness and efficiency. I’d come back to the pub just for her! Would recommend.

Had a celebration to celebrate my daughters christening and the team at the county arms where great. The beef and chicken sliders were great and the bar staff kept the booze flowing no delays with drinks. Big thanks to the team.

A gathering of c180 in the Belvedere Conservatory and spilling into patio and decking area outside. The Belvedere has it own bar and you can order food from here too. Great indoor space. Really recommend. The Cheeseburger was delicious! Thanks.

Been here often before v cosy and v dog friendly. This time however we were surprised to stand at the bar while two staff members had a long discussion one with his back to us. When they eventually finished and acknowledged our presence, the guy with his back to us was very impersonable and I must say very scruffy! It was very noticeable that apart from the lady in charge behind the bar it was difficult to work out who was staff everyone wearing whatever they wished one guy with a hat in service, no corporate identity. Try black shirt and trousers! But if a let down .

What an amazing pub! The bar staff are beyond helpful, lovely management and a great atmosphere! Fish pie is a must have!

What a gorgeous pub! The staff are so friendly, helpful and welcoming and the space is perfect. Wonderful views of the common, a really fun atmosphere. Sitting by the fire on a massive comfy sofa, it’s easy to think you’re in the middle of a countryside pub - I am definitely coming back!

First time visit and we weren’t disappointed. Exceptional service, great food. Staff very patient and accommodating to children which doesn’t happen everywhere on a busy Sunday service.

Held my 40th birthday in one of the private rooms. Organisation on the run up to the event was on point and on the night the staff where switched on and looked after us incredibly well. Couldnt fault the service. Highly recommend.

Always a great place to eat and drink, however a bit of an off day for the usually impeccable team County Arms, service a bit slow, a mix up with our order, all however resolved amicably, happens sometimes, will this stop me going back, absolutely not, would always recommend

Came here for an early dinner. The service is totally slapdash and chaotic and there were quite a few things not available on the menu. Our food was pretty much the worst pub food we’ve had in the area and that’s not a high bar. I would have gone for one star but the beer was decent and the manager apologetic.

Simply delicious Sunday lunch at this spacious and comfortable pub. I shared slow roasted lamb shoulder with my daughter. It was melt in the mouth delicious, correctly seasoned as were all of the accompaniments. We added a cheeky cauliflower cheese which was so worth it. The gravy was lamb based too which complimented the dish beautifully. Fairly attentive and friendly service. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this Sunday lunch.

The pub is lovely and atmosphere great. We went as a group of friends for the Sunday lunch which was much anticipated as reviews were good. The pork belly was disappointing as the there was no crispy crackling which is really the only reason to order it. The Yorkshire pudding, although large was very over cooked. My friends had the beef which was good.

Fawlty Towers esque. So bad. Chef doesn’t know his menu, food poor, service hilarious and the manager makes Liz truss look vaguely competent. Given the options in the area this place is never, ever, ever worth a visit.

Delicious lunch and good service was spoilt by the fact that smoking is allowed under the awning - large table in front of us with many smokers - was as bad as if they were smoking inside the pub as the awning is quite low and traps the smoke inside - gross and with lots of families around their table.

Had dinner tonight. This pub has taken on new management and a new chef. It was incredible. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, and the food was sublime. Highly recommend

The County Arms had exceeded our expectations with well equipped garden terrace, efficient and curteous staff and great variety of dishes bursting with flavour.

Booked a table with some old friends, as a reunion from lockdown. I let the manager know I was quite apprehensive about social distancing, given my age and I have to say I was very pleased. Dermott came over to our table when we arrived and reassured us on all the covid protocols that were in place. Staff and customer respected all the protocols and I immediately felt at ease. Really great, safe experience and would definitely recommend, we will be coming again. Thanks to dermott for his personable approach.

I visited on Saturday and, despite it being very busy, the service was brilliant and the staff were clearly working hard to be attentive and created a good atmosphere

I live locally but I have just recently started coming to the County Arms. We were given a table in the outside area which had a lovely atmosphere even though it was cold it was super cozy with the heaters and nice music. Team members were super quick to serve us and attentive during the night, kept coming to the table to ask if we were ok with the drinks. Ended up sharing a camembert as well, it was delicious!! Will definitely be back.

Todo aparentemente reservado.Aunque le señalé que seríamos 20 minutos. ¡El oficioso caballero en la puerta me dijo que esas reservas llegarían en 20 minutos! Entonces eso me pareció que sería perfecto pero. . . ¡NO!Nos condujeron a una mesa vacía en un restaurante vacío en la trastienda. Otra mesa.Ya que tenía la aplicación de Young para ordenar, la parte que consumía mucho tiempo estaba esperando que el personal de "ir lento" la trajera.Salimos a los 15 minutos de la llegada. Pasando por un patio todavía medio vacío.Somos locales y esta es la razón por la que no venimos aquí. Siempre te hacen sentir que tienes suerte de que te permitan entrar.Aprenda a administrar las tablas y podrá obtener más ingresos y tener clientes más satisfechos.

Mi novia y yo fuimos a celebrar el cumpleaños de Young pero, lamentablemente, no había cerveza de barril debido a que aparentemente no había gas en el lugar. Muy sorprendido de que una gran empresa como Young no pudiera resolver este problema con tantos otros pubs en el área, pero estoy seguro de que también fue extremadamente frustrante para el personal.Como mi "regalo" para celebrar el cumpleaños de los JOVENES, me regalaron un Aperol Spritz. Aunque soy más un hombre cervecero, lo probé, pero no fue bueno. Demasiada soda, mal presentada y poco alcohol, lo cual es familiar cuando obtienes algo gratis. Quizás sea mejor regalar una bebida a gusto del invitado o quizás regalar algo más económico que el habitual 8. 00 Spritz si no se puede hacer correctamente?El personal fue muy amable (pulgar hacia arriba) y nos trasladaron adentro, ya que afuera hacía bastante frío, sin embargo, sin cerveza de barril y 6. 35 por una botella de sidra, avanzamos rápidamente y llevamos nuestra celebración a otra parte. Pero el personal del bar de la camisa con cola de caballo vino para aconsejarnos que podríamos tener hasta la próxima reserva a las 8 justo cuando terminamos de beber.Entonces nos gustaría otra copa. A la manera típica de los jóvenes, el pub tiene un aspecto encantador, pero sin sustancia. El rosbif era claramente un bistec, ya que estaba marrón por fuera y tenía granos de pimienta, el resto estaba apenas cocido / comestible, ¡aparte de la zanahoria! I went to the County’s first quiz night on Wednesday. And am so glad I went, It was such a great evening! The quizmaster was brilliant, great personality. My friends ordered food, the food from the quiz menu was so good my friend ended up ordering two curries for herself! There was table service so you didn’t have to go to the bar. it was really good fun, great atmosphere. What I really liked which was different to other quizzes I’ve been to was the Guess the nearest number round. Great fun. My friend won a free drink and nearly won another! Cant wait for next weeks quiz! Where did we finish...... We finished last but we did win the final nearest number round and won a bottle of wine! The bottles on ice for next weeks quiz! It was £2 well spent! Where else can you have so much fun for £2!

I went to the county last night (wednesday) for the first night of their new weekly pub quiz and it was fantastic. The quiz master was excellent and my friends and I all ate amazing food off their new menu which included fish and chips and waffles! The staff come around every 20 minutes or so bringing drinks to your table so you don't miss any of the questions. Will be coming every week and would definitely recommend!

I had the most amazing night out with four of my friends Thursday night! The staff told us about their gin of the week and it's definitely one of my go-to gin now!

I Visited the County Arms as they started doing a Pub Quiz! Myself and my friends created a team and it was such a lovely evening. The quiz was really fun and the quizmaster was brilliant and rather funny too! Lots of teams competing created such a nice atmosphere, and it was laughs all round. I can’t wait to make this a weekly thing! Would totally recommend to anyone looking for a nice Pub with a good Quiz!! (Lots of Prizes to be won as well :D) Service was also on point, and the food we had was super yummy!

Really lovely pub, second visit, this time for Sunday lunch. Great service. The drinks and food arrived quite quickly. Both my daughter and I were impressed. We both had the roasts, the Yorkshire puddings were as big as our heads! Definitely recommend and we are planning to return for another roast soon. The new management have definitely improved the place, especially with their themed events such as Narnia at Christmas.

I popped into the County Arms as it was local to where I was working. What a find! With its open fires crackling and the amazing smells from the kitchen, it felt a million miles away from London. It has a lovely feel about it. The garden is a nice size and was designed like Narnia when I originally visited. Even walking through a wardrobe to enter its snowy domain and having passing Mr Tumnus's lampost. Magical even for adults. It's clear the management are very creative and have some great ideas. I had lunch there and found the menu to be of a good size and variety. The food was very tasty and arrived in a timely fashion. Still steaming hot. The staff were professional and helpful and there was plenty of them available, so there was no waiting time at the bar. Toilets were also clean and fresh. With nice soaps and handcream available. Lots of cubicles and all decent sized. So many pub loos let them down but not the County Arms!Overall, I very much enjoyed my time at the County Arms and have been back on a few occasions since, Also bringing my family and my dog. Yep, it's dog friendly too. All good in my oponion. I would not hesitate to recommend this pub.

I visited the county arms with my family for a birthday celebration. This is a lovely big but cosy pub with open fires, comfortable sofas and a fantastic ambiance. The food was lovely and the staff were attentive and I was especially impressed as several of my family have allergies. The kitchens knowledge and assistance could not be faulted. The staff were friendly and I noticed several events were advertised which my family well may be attending. Definitely will be back.

Went with some friends for a drink and some food, the service was excellent while the food was also great, I had the sausage and mash, while my friends had the fish and chips and the burger all the food was delicious and filling, the atmosphere was nice, bar staff was extremely friendly and helpful with their recommendations.

We had a really nice lunch with our son, his partner and our 10 year old grandson. Restaurant was very busy but after a slow start, all went very well with attentive service from cheerful waitresses. Good job!

The management were being very aggressive and unkind to a very overworked and pleasant staff. As a waitress myself it was upsetting to see. Despite this, the food was lovely and the service was great.

Gracias al personal de los brazos del condado una vez más por una velada encantadora. Mi hermana se lo pasó muy bien ya que el proyector de pantalla grande para el rugby permitió una excelente visualización. (¡Ella es una fanática del rugby! ... no yo) Siempre un ambiente acogedor y volveremos muy pronto.

El pub es realmente grande, así que hay diferentes salas para comer y beber. Al llegar, el personal del bar parecía desinteresado y desaliñado. Los niños absolutamente en todas partes y los padres no parecen tener ningún control sobre ellos, solo un montón de ellos corriendo gritando. Se había acabado una cerveza, la comida no era interesante, ¡los pubs deben dejar de empujar un budín gigante de Yorkshire en un asado del domingo con la esperanza de que se vea impresionante! Debajo había dos papas diminutas empapadas, casi ninguna verdura y el costo de 19 era indignante por la porción y el sabor. Tuvimos un buen camarero que fue atento pero el lugar está en mal estado y necesita un poco de trabajo. No volveremos

I booked a table for friends in the lounge area was so easy we had plenty of space not like when you usually get squashed in a corner - great selection of wines and the bartender made us a great gin cocktail we ordered nibbles of the menu loved the baked cambert will definitely be returning to the county arms

Visité el Condado de Armas con esposa e hijos. Qué gran pub encantador bastante ocupado, pero todavía hay muchas mesas disponibles. Dos platos principales en el menú no están disponibles y solo quedan dos porciones de otro. Dos de cada tres pudines todavía se están preparando a las 2. 30) El personal no nos advirtió previamente que este era el caso cuando nos dieron los menús. Solo nos enteramos unos minutos después de haber hecho nuestros pedidos, por lo tanto, una cantidad de comensales infelices, no lo suficientemente bueno. We decided to eat out for the 1st time at xmas so booked the county arms as it is local and had good reviews. I gave our order and dietary requirements a week in advance as requested-we had 1 vegan,1 vegetarian with a milk allergy and 3 who do not eat pork so I was glad that they seemed to want to be prepared. The starter and main was OK-5 out of 10, pub standard, but to be honest it was more about the experience for us, we wanted to spend time as a family so the quality didn't bother me. One meal came with pork-we told the server and they apologised and changed it,half way through we discovered gammon underneath the Turkey so the meal could not be finished-again the server was very apologetic. Then we were served pudding, we were told it was a pear and fig tart-it looked like a tart so my daughter,a vegan dug in only to find it was milk chocolate-she felt sick. We told the server who apologised (told us it would be taken off the bill) and brought us the real 'mulled quince,pear and fig' tart with 'vegan' ice cream...it was a piece of puff pastry with icing sugar dusted on top of it-thats it. We had to take a picture, I couldn't quite believe it. I also was given non vegan ice cream on the advertised 'vegan' pudding. We didn't complain as we had lost our appetite by then anyway. When it came to paying I had to explain everything again as he (a manager i later found out) was unaware, he was really unimpressed with my explanation, gave me no eye contact,looked annoyed and made me feel like i had done something wrong-i tried to compliment the staff and the rest of the food but he didn't listen and proceeded to angrily take off 10% (which i was happy with), when he shoved the bill in my hand i realised that he didn't apologise and actually looked annoyed that i dare complain that my vegan daughter was given a milk chocolate dessert. I decided not to pay the discretionary service charge and give a gratuity to the servers instead. This angered him more and he actively looked the other way as i paid my bill-I've never felt such hostility in an establishment like that before,it was awful! We gave a lovely server some cash and I was aware that the manager was watching us, she said she would put it in the tin which is shared out. As we left, he told the server to give our money back! The poor girl had to come back to us to tell us that they didn't want our gratuity as we didn't 'like' the food!? He was clearly really stressed out as this didn't even make sense. We didn't enjoy having our dietary requirements ignored, we didn't like his terrible attitude but we did love the service given by the staff trying their best on Christmas day. He ruined the eating out on xmas day experience for us and we will be cooking at home going forward.My overall recommendation for the county arms is :Do not go if you have any dietary requirements/allergies...if you can eat anything and don't mind being served the wrong food then go and try it out-it's a nice looking pub

We has such a lovely time, ordered hot chocolates, and apple crumbles, and sat outside in their wonderland themed garden. Staff were super helpful and kind, especially Devon. What a great place, you must visit over Xmas

I had amazing food I enjoyed spending my Christmas dinner with family , staff were extremely friendly and professional also the food came quick even though the pub was full!! Definitely advise anybody visiting London to book a table and enjoy your time

Met my mom here for a lunch and it was delightful and cosy. Beautiful winter garden and lovely fireplace. Great experience with pleasant staff who went out of their way to ensure our dog had water and all our needs were met.

Went down to the pub when there was a Christmas event on. It was amazing!!!! Actually blew my mind how much detail and creativity they put into the event. The staff were amazing some really went the extra mile to make sure we had a good time. The food was to die for! I could of stayed in the pub for days and loved every second of it. But the most amazing part was the atmosphere in the pub so friendly and even down to the staff making sure the fire place was always lit keeping us warm in the cold winter nights. They have done an amazing job in the pub would definitely recommend heading down there and experience a totally British, exceptional pub!

Rude, arrogant staff who insist the customers are wrong. Within five minutes of entering, we felt very unwelcome and frustrated. A severe lack of customer service and general human compassion. Good Christmas decorations though - just a shame it couldn’t be followed up with Christmas spirit.

Had around 15 people for birthday drinks and everything was great. We were looked after whenever we needed, and although it was a last minute booking, they were very accommodating in what is normally the busiest month of the year. We've been a few times for food and drinks and have never been disappointed. Thanks guys!

We had a large family meal on Sunday and ate off the normal menu as the Christmas menu was overpriced for what it was . We were a large group of 25 and expected delays etc on a busy Sunday however we waited a good 45 minutes for just 2 starters and then another hour for main meals. These came out in dribs and drabs with one adult meal and 3 kids meals coming out way after everyone else had finished eating a good 30 mins after) The food was barely warm and for an £18 roast dinner I expected more than 2 slices of meat, 1-2 half-potatoes, a carrot, half a parsnip and some shredded sprouts. The gravy was minimal and when asked for extra it came out in a tiny milk jug. When the puddings finally came the sticky toffee pudding was straight from the fridge with a small dollop of ice cream. It was stodgy and dry (and should be served hot!) My husband chose the ice cream and got 2 measly scoops for £4. The chocolate brownie looked like a kids portion, again not worth the £7 price tag. I can understand it was a busy period and they were clearly understaffed, but when you pre-order, you expect food served roughly at the same time and the food to be hot. The icing on the cake was the £100 service charge. No apologies or a gesture of coffees on the house. On the whole it was a stressful experience with a huge price tag- not to be repeated.

We booked in for our engagement party of 20 in the recently refurbished garden. The garden has a tent covering so despite the rain we were kept dry. They dressed our table with candles and Xmas decorations and the seats had blankets. There were also plenty of heaters so despite being a freezing December night we were completely warm!

We dined in a group for Sunday lunch, and the restaurant was very busy. The staff were friendly, and worked very hard, but service was otherwise poor. Cutlery and paper napkins were not replenished before the next course arrived, a pepper cellar was filled with salt, and I was given a soup spoon for my dessert. The food, however, was the main problem. Two soups were sent back as they were unpleasant, the main course meals were luke warm to cold by the time they got to our table, the roast beef had so much fat and gristle that it was almost inedible (one such meal was returned and a replacement declined – this meal was taken off our bill), no mustard or horseradish sauce was offered until we asked, the vegetarian offering was dry and there was no vegetarian gravy available, an ice cream dessert for a child failed to appear until the fourth time of asking and was then just an ice cream stick lolly, a chocolate brownie was served burnt, and the cheeseboard was ridiculous - £8 for two small crackers and two thin wedges of cheese! Some other meals in the group however, including turkey and rib of beef, were better, and the children’s fish and chips meal appeared to be the best of the lot. There is a clear problem here with either staff numbers or staff training for those serving the tables, and a very big problem in the kitchen where there appears to be no care taken over the quality and presentation of the food. One suggestion as well – two diners would have preferred custard instead of ice cream with their desserts but this was not available. Overall, the pub has a pleasant atmosphere and while we might pop in for a drink if we were passing, we would certainly not eat here again.

Popped in for dinner early on a Saturday night. We only had one course each, but the staff could not have been more friendly, accommodating and attentive.

Stopped here for a quick bite before heading to a house party. Attentive staff, lovely food at a decent price and the best atmosphere of any London pub I’ve been to! Acoustic singer and winter wonderland themed garden was a lovely touch and would have rather spent the whole evening here rather than attend the party!

Held a party hear for my wife's birthday. 65 people in the Belvedere room, great venue, cocktails and events team in an ideal location. Would highly recommend.

Thank you so much for making our wedding reception so wonderful. The service was great and we could tell the team worked really hard. The Belvedere looked beautiful. It was very spacious and having the patio meant we could make the most of the lovey sunshine. The best part had to be the food - all our guests commented on how delicious both the canapés, BBQ menu and the evening snacks were. The servings were very generous and everyone felt very well fed. We would 100% recommend the County Arms for anyone wanting a relaxed and intimate wedding party. They made our day very special and we’re extremely grateful.

Visited this pub on two occasions and on both times we were served by a very rude member of staff. Older lady with short dark hair, could be the manager. Very abrupt and just generally unpleasant. Told us we couldn’t order food. Charming! Won’t be coming back.

Bacon muffins for the rugby!! Smashing. Only just before half time they switched to the full Sunday lunch menu. C’mon guys... sort it out.

Visited with some friends this Sunday and had the half chicken roast...blew me away! Easily one of the best sunday roasts I have had. The service couldn't have been better, staff were so friendly and helpful. Will be back asap!

We wanted a relaxed but fancy setting for our wedding - with a large-ish number of guests thrown in. The County Arms delivered in a big way.

Had not been here for two years, when we were very happy, so disappointed to find the food not up to scratch. Fish and chips too well done - batter almost inedible, and chips overcooked. Also eggs on avo/sourdough more well done than soft. Otherwise service good, and pleasant sitting outside. Cornish beer also 'iffy'..

Tuvo varios desastres con la comida, pero ahora bajo una nueva administración y chef y una gran atención a la redecoración del jardín, plantas, colores pastel, etc. La comida era excepcional y a un precio razonable. El servicio fue excelente, ¡incluso bajé la música en el jardín porque ahora tengo 51 años y todo lo que conlleva! ! !

The service here was very good. The place had a great vibe with comfortable seating inside and outside. The food was amazing, we had the burger and fries but the other options looked great too. Would definitely recommend.

Pasamos a mi hija 30 cena de cumpleaños en el condado de armas. El nuevo gerente y el camarero Seb fueron geniales. La selección de comida era un poco limitada, pero también le faltaba un factor sorpresa, lo cual es una pena porque el comedor interior, el servicio y la cerveza eran excelentes. El gerente reconoció que un área ocupada en el jardín esa noche (durante la quincena de Wimbo) podría haber disminuido nuestra experiencia / comida y el "trato justo" para él nos dio un 10% de descuento en nuestra factura de comida y bebida. Lo intentaremos de nuevo.

Tan pronto como vi la sala Beldevere en el Condado de Arms, supe que sería perfecta como la recepción de nuestra boda. El pub es realmente encantador y la habitación está bellamente diseñada con un área privada en el jardín, era exactamente lo que buscábamos.

We had our wedding reception at the County Arms in June and we cannot compliment the team enough. The whole thing was seamless. John and Lina took all stress out of the organisation and were so well-organised and helpful. The room is lovely and with the outside terrace included as well, was the perfect setting for a summer wedding. We wanted a venue that was relaxed, friendly and helpful, and we got exactly what we wanted. A big Thankyou John and Lina xx

First time here and the pub is amazing! The outdoor area is a exceptionally great space to relax in the afternoon and chill. Had drinks and food all of which were equally as good. Will defo have another visit here and the staff are polite too. Great work all and situated opposite a park which we took an evening stroll in to digest the massive amounts of food and drink we had. Loved it.

Fantastic outside deck area. Super friendly and helpful staff. Canapés were delicious too. Highly recommend.

I came in on Monday which was surprisingly busy but the staff were amazing and super attentive. Tried the jerk chicken burger and it was incredible! Can’t wait to come back again already!

Great selection of starters, mains and puddings! My girlfriend and I shared the Camembert starter and fish and chips for main. Both were amazing and more than enough for two! Staff were lovely and the pub itself is gorgeous! Thanks guys! We’ll be back!

I seriously would not bother wasting your time or money going to this pub/restaurant. We went along for a bank holiday lunch, were shown to a table and that was it, we were left for 30 mins until I found the solitary waitress and asked for menus, a further 30 mins until she came back and took our order, a further 45 mins until I found her and asked when our food would arrive, a further 10 mins before it did (as she gave us our starter she said our main course was ready but she had sent it back), a further 20 mins before she returned to tell me what I had ordered had all gone and did i want something else (as you can imagine I’d lost the will by now) so ended up without any lunch (as I didn’t order a starter). We asked to see the manager (but he was hiding in the back apparently) the waitress couldn’t give a , she was not interested at all. My husband asked for my meal to be taken off the bill as I hadn’t had the food, and he asked for 20% off which she gave without question......

My husband and I had our wedding at the County Arms in March; there were a few changes in the events team during our planning, but the team (special shout out to John and Andrew) really did a fantastic job!

We took my father in law here for his birthday and it was an excellent choice. The food was very high quality, better, fresher ingredients than most pubs, even other good gastro pubs and very well cooked. My haddock fishcake starter was particularly special. The service was friendly and it had a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

Dear County how can you justify charging over £12 for a double gin & tonic when the excellent french bistro Cote only charge £7.35? (see attached pic of Cote’s menu).

Nice and cosy! The county arms is our favourite local! Haven’t been there for few months and everything looks fresh and renovated. Food was amazing: Definitely the best veggie burger I’ve ever tried. Beetroot and halloumi burger, highly recommended.
