My recent visit to The Lighthouse Battersea was nothing short of a nightmare. What was supposed to be an enjoyable dining experience turned into an evening of frustration and disappointment, with the service being the primary culprit. To start, it took a staggering 30 minutes just to place my order. The restaurant wasn’t even particularly busy, which made the wait all the more baffling. When I finally managed to order, the waiter managed to take down the wrong items, an error I only discovered when I reviewed the bill at my table. This meant I had to queue for an additional 20 minutes just to rectify the mistake, further prolonging an already drawn-out process. The ordeal didn’t end there. They needed to refund me for the incorrect item and charge me for the right one, which turned out to be an excruciatingly slow process. By the time they finally sorted it out, nearly half an hour had passed—and yet, the correct dish still hadn’t arrived. At this point, my dining companions had long finished their meals, and I was left sitting there with nothing. When I went to the bar to inquire about the delay, the barmaid casually informed me that the order had never gone through and that they couldn’t find me to complete the transaction. The absurdity of this statement is beyond belief, considering I was sitting right beside the bar the entire time! What’s worse, there was barely an apology offered, as if such appalling service was to be expected. As for the food, once I finally did receive it, I wished I hadn’t bothered. The roast was utterly mediocre—bland, uninspired, and massively overpriced for what it was. Having read some of the other reviews after my visit, I can only agree that the food quality does not justify the high prices. In summary, the service was horrendous, the food was average at best, and the overall experience was one I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I strongly advise against visiting The Lighthouse Battersea. Save your time, money, and patience—go somewhere else.

Lovely pub with great atmosphere and warm, friendly staff. Great aperol spritz! But the food is not nice. Came out 10 minutes after ordering. Kind of spoilt the experience and we ended up not getting desert. The fish was more batter than fish. And the nachos … were not nice. No cheese at all.. Which was meant to be grilled over tortillas. Just everything from a packet. Cold.. £8.50 for broken up Tortilla chips straight from a packet with store bought guacamole, salsa and way too much sour cream which had curdled. Stick to drinks and French fries! If the food improved, I would come back all the time!

Welcoming pub with a great outdoor area, friendly staff and some tasty food, including an excellent roast dinner.

Booked a table for birthday for drinks and it was a perfect evening. Although it was incredibly busy (which was great!) the staff were very attentive, in particular the lady with glasses. The music was fantastic as always and really added to a great night. Battersea’s best pub by a mile.

Overall had a good experience but the blue haired barmaid was extremely rude. She overcharged us then when asked to rectify the situation became very short and said if we weren't happy we were welcome to leave. Claimed that "if you're that desperate for a few pounds I'll organise a refund". Fortunately the manager came to sort the issue. Speaking with a few other locals they said this same lady has often been rude to them.

The Lighthouse near Battersea park is a local pub with a good atmosphere and plenty of space in and outside at the back. On entering there are a good range of comfy chairs and sofas for lounging in. We had a decent lunch with a good Sunday roast and were welcome by nice staff and patron ! Food was good, but not outstanding. Service was friendly but it took too long to deliver, which was a little disappointing. Overall a very good choice of beers and drinks , good pub!

Had drinks, outside in the beer garden and it was very enjoyable. Good atmosphere, and full of locals which is always a good sign.

My wife had pork starter and I the kebab. My son the fish and chips. Son said the fish and chips were ok, but the rest not. Glass of wine (Rioja) was good. Service was friendly but they were on their computers when not serving us so had to go up to them. Avoid - sadly. I had hoped it would be better given a free house.

Great food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere! Beer garden for sunny days and board games for passing the time with friends :)

If I could give this pub 0 stars I would! Went here for a friend's Birthday arrived to find out that my food order wasn't put through properly. Even though I gave them 2 weeks notice for my food order. This pub is so mediocre! The vibes aren't that great. Food is overpriced and not the best quality. Only good things about it is the outside area. If I were you I wouldn't waste your money.

Would not recommend for watching Euros! I booked online the “fan zone garden” which I assumed was a table outside to watch the Euros with my 5 friends. When we arrived we were told there are no seats and it’s standing room only, and that it would have said that online. It did not say that anywhere when I booked, otherwise I wouldn’t have chose it lol. We couldn’t see a thing! Left at half time.

Really nice pub with very good food at reasonable prices and extremely friendly service. Nice ambiance too.

Had a good beer in the tiny little bit of sunshine in the garden...they need to fix the awning so we can all enjoy the summer sunshine, if we get any!

This pub has a good atmosphere and friendly staff however I really wasn’t impressed with the food. My son and his girlfriend had fish and chips which looked appetising, I ordered a beef salad on a small plate. I expected the plate obviously not to be as big as a mains plate but I didn’t expect the plate to be the same size as a saucer! £9.75 for a saucer of food, not impressed at all. I ordered more food as my saucer of salad never touched the sides. Would I go again……only for drinks.

Very good meal with a wonderful host Cat. She was great fun and we had a great time. Would definitely return when next in the area

For a while we were looking for a place where we could get good Sunday roasts. I think we found what will become our “usual”. Delicious food and very attentive staff. Mia is just lovely!

Was here Saturday for a friends birthday, Lovely day until we relaised they have Velcro on the benches outside, Ruined both mine and my partners trousers. She had just bought new trousers£60+ and wore them that day. now they a ruined all obbly across them due to random velcro across the seat

A brilliant pub. Terrific atmosphere. Best service I've had in a London pub. We had a family lunch for 10 people (5 adults: 5 kids) and Kat our server was incredible. From wine recommendations, to engaging with the kids and even helping a member of our family find a lost item on the floor!! She made a family event feel very memorable and special, as we were well taken care of. Thank you Kat! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Lots of good options for dietary needs (gf, vegan, veggie) Kids menu. Food arrived fast even though it was busy. Board games to entertain. Dog friendly. Nice outdoor space. Even awesome tunes playing. A total cracker of a London neighbourhood pub.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING service from Kat.. she was Absolutely brilliant, nothing was too much, she was on the ball, prompt, professional, 5 stars is not enough. The food was good, the atmosphere was great, I came with my family including 5 children, Kat treated them with respect, they were catered for in the best possible way. I have never been here before, but it's now going to be a go to place. I could not have asked for more, the only thing I felt sad about was that my frangipane tart wasn't warm, but im sure if id asked it would have been. It was excellent.. thank you Kat and all the kitchen staff we had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

Nice atmosphere on a weekday as weekends this pub is very crowded so reserve a table. We had a burger and potato gnocchi and churros - nothing special when it comes to food. Gnocchi had no flavour, the burger and churros were ok. Staff though super friendly and will definitely come back but fix the till system so I could get my Pimms next time! Thanks!

Came to meet friends after work they had the Sunday roast and wouldn’t stop saying how good it was! Very warm and welcoming staff and good value for money, manager came over to check how everything was and had a good chat. Worth a visit and will be my first port of call next time I’m in Battersea

Fantastic atmosphere but the food wasn’t a 10/10 - I had the steak and chips but was not too happy with the flavours :( I’ll definitely come back for a pint in the sun. The pub has a cute outdoor area and has a lot of options on tap

The Lighthouse Battersea is a large traditional pub serving a good range beers, wines and food. On entering there are a good range of comfy chairs and sofas for lounging in. We had a nice lunch in the covered beer garden at the rear. Food was good, but not outstanding. Service was friendly.

I’ve been here for a birthday party and to see the Six Nations. Very nice and cosy pub, suitable for both families and friends.

Great atmosphere and selection of beers.

I gave have one because of the average food, otherwise l would have given less than zero due to the staff. One person from the staff (long dark hair -l wish l had asked his name- ) is very arrogant and rude. He doesn’t know how to approach costumers and the only reason why we decided to stay, it was because we were hungry and it was quite late to look for another place. I was extremely disappointed. At some point, he was so rude that l thought he was joking. The food is ok, but l would never go there again!

Lovely friendly neighbourhood pub! We love coming here with our pooches. Great selection of wines, food and nibbles. And Becky makes a cracking spicy margarita!

Shame for a good pub to be let down by it's sassy, cold, clearly bored staff. Met with arms folded staff looking to clock off there shift. Such potential and it wouldn't take much to raise the standard, such as a simple "hi, what can I get you?" which seems to be the universal greeting. Some people shouldn't work in hospitality and the crew of catty, uninspired waitresses that let this place down should perhaps refocus there energies back onto finishing there degree.

Not good. Being a local iv been to this pub often for a simple social. However iv have recently noticed the staff have become very, what I call a little sassy. Personally I don't mind a little sass, but sassy + expensive drinks, especially compared to its neighbour (The Latchmere) isn't worth the experience. Welcomed with arms folded and a speechless barmaid instantly soured the tone. A shame especially for a Friday evening with friends. I certainly wasnt expecting fireworks but an attitude mirroring someone whose puppy iv just kicked across the park was frankly a little unprofessional, and of keeping with someone that simply wanted to be somewhere else.

Great pub, awesome service. Popped in on a sunday for a quick drink; Boss Tom and his team of Rosa, Kelsey n Joyce bossed a busy pub offering a friendly smile along with quick and efficient service... will be frequenting from now on.

Arrogant staff, huge waiting times explained away arrogantly, waited over an hour for a Sunday Roast. One roast dinner was cold and given the time it took to arrive we didn't both sending it back. Been coming here for years, never again.

One of my fav pubs in London. Can't wait until the summer. They serve my fav beer pacifico which I recommend you try if you like Corona

Great place for a small drink. There is a venue you can book for parties up to 50+. Heaters and rain covers which can be open and closed. The atmosphere is friendly and safe

Arrived on New Year’s Day, 30% of the menu unavailable including all roasts. Staff were nice about it but still disappointing not to be informed beforehand.

I went for a team lunch. The atmosphere was so good and the staffs were soo friendly. I gad fish and chops, and it was crispy and tastes great. Everyone had good opinion for what they had. Its better to book before, if you’re looking for a group dine in.

Plenty of competition around this area, and this place doesn’t quite cut it. The Venison haunch turned up 1 hour after ordering and was cold. A shame, because the flavours were there. This was early afternoon, and they struggled. Not sure how they get on when it’s busy!

Me and my team came here for a work Christmas lunch. The staff were exceptional / I want to mention in particular Katie, James and Xhana who were fantastic. They made us amazing drinks and everything went so smoothly - we didn’t have to think about a thing! Will definitely be recommending this place as the food, staff and overall vibe are the best. We will be coming back! Thanks so much!

First Christmas Dinner of the season and I must say it was delightful. The service was very personal and staff very friendly.

This is a great pub in the midst of battersea and Clapham. Cat and James are such good publicans and will ensure you have a fantastic night out Cannot fault the food or service Only thing I I hope they open post 11pm on a Thursday!!!

Fish and chips was a real let down. The fish was mushy, foul taste and inedible. Cant fault the nice atmosphere and drink selection however.

I Visited for the first time today and was greeted with a massive smile and a hello, I didn’t catch the bartenders name But she had wavey hair and wears glasses. Her manner, engagement and customer service was outstanding 👏🏻 Very pleasant experience.

A nice meal with several families, super busy Sunday early evening, very well organised by the lady in charge. But spoilt by a barman. Only one cask bitter, but of course it was off. Wanted a glass of red with my meal, was told by the barman that they had "house, malbec, you know stuff like that", got bamboozled that I needed to see the list. The cab sav bottle ran out mid pour and he couldn't find another one, so just topped it up with a different wine thinking that I couldn't see. It was very busy and had been waiting ages so couldn't be bothered to argue the toss, but not good enough for £15 a glass.

Really warm and cosy vibes, the place would decorated in Halloween decorations and loved it. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Great selection of beers too.

Took refuge here from a particularly violent and sudden shower. It was quite busy on a Saturday. They have a lovely of a bit squashed beer garden at the back with rétractable roof in case of rain. Only had coffees and chips. Coffees took very long to arrive. Their ordering app is hopeless, better to go to the bar. Mixed review about service as the male bar staff was a bit abrupt and mumbling while the waitress who delivered the coffees was super nice and friendly. I would visit again to try the food fully. Conveniently close to Battersea Park.

Dropped into The Lighthouse on route to Battersea Power Station and thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks!!! Very friendly staff, extremely welcoming and engaging..Definitely going back to try the Sunday roast and a few more Moretti’s!!!!

The Lighthouse Pub is a delightful establishment. Staff are friendly, caring and attentive. Food is lovely but some lines can sell out, especially on a Sunday (Roasts) That’s the price of great quality with food. It literally flies out of the door. There’s nothing I’d change about the Lighthouse. It’s literally a home from home for me, who lives 450 miles away, but I feel totally at home here. Lovely garden, great atmosphere, delicious food, well kept beers (don’t know where the earlier ‘flat beer’ review came from) Lovely wine selection and fabulous folks serving behind the bar who will make your visit truly memorable. Give the quiz on Monday night a go too. Always good to get the little grey cells working.

The Sunday Roast is a delight. You don't need to try it to know, cos the large restaurant was full and people obviously were going bk for the Sunday roast or other good food.

Staying in Battersea we wanted somewhere for an early dinner and a couple of drinks. This pub is an absolute gem and if I lived nearby I would be in here all the time. Super friendly staff ( who recommended we ordered the butcher's board as a shared meal and she was so right), great range of beers and cocktails, cool interior and quick service. We ended up staying until 11 pm as the pub filled up with a good mixture of friendly locals. A brilliant place which I would highly recommend.

The lighthouse is a lovely stumble upon after going to the Battersea bootsale and then deciding to walk back to Clapham Junction train station instead of getting the train.. the Guinness was very good, and so was the Ale. .we had some bread and olives as a quick nibble, very tasty. . Sat in the rear beer terrace in the sunshine, perfect before a train home recommended. Staff are really friendly too

The food here is as good as at almost any pub we’ve been in London. It’s also got a good-sized outdoor section and the service is really good.

We had our work summer party in the garden, the food was fantastic, great portions, delicious, the staff were attentive and so helpful and friendly, I thoroughly recommend!

Great atmosphere! It was the Champions League Final so it was quite busy. But it has a really nice varied clientele, quite a melting pot, but it was a very friendly and welcoming environment. The food was better than I expected for the price it was. I would highly recommend eating here and I will be visiting again!

All of the staff are lovely. Especially Asli, Steve, Katie, James, Kayana, Luke, Louise , Ruvim, Ben, Sam, Maika, Mia, Xana, Catriona and Adkins were great. Such a great pub and great team. 10/10 recommend. Amazing food and atmosphere. Best pub in Battersea.

The Roast was poor: the potatoes weren't crispy, the broccoli was very uncooked, the carrots were over-cooked and the gravy was no more than bisto - grim! On the plus, the portions were generous and the Yorkshire Puddings were large. The pub itself has nice decor and the waiting staff were pleasant when present. But, the service was very slow throughout including after the meal when our plates weren't cleared away and no one was around to ask for the bill. I would suggest a good place for a drink because the decor is funky and there was an outside bit which looked cool but not for a roast.

A great pub with a small but well set out garden. A good range of beers and wines and the staff were friendly and helpful. I couldn't get a table outside when I visited but I noticed that they do take bookings. Clean and tidy and the food that passed me by look very tempting. Just on the Battersea road which has some good and bad pubs, this was a good one.

It’s a nice property, good looking pub and comfortable seats inside. However, the service is a different story I was there on Saturday and a very rude woman served me a £12 gin and tonic, she flung it into a glass and even got the order wrong. I get the feeling they are understaffed.I had a margarita next thinking the drink would be better than my g&t and was presented with a glass of something that tasted like it was from a pre mix cocktail mix from Asda. Overall quite a let down. Nice garden tho!

Well facilitated pub offering a decent Sunday roast. Fast service with a good selection of beer. Outdoor seating avaliable with heaters and blankets.

Great atmosphere and beautiful place

1 moody member of staff behind bar and guess who I end up being served by. 3 lagers on tap and they run out of 2 of them not good. Not all negative the food was good and all other staff members where very helpful. Shame about 1 member of staff that both my son and I had the displeasure of being served by.
