Visited it for the first time and loved it . Staff is really nice and the atmosphere is lovely. Super cozy place

This was my second visit to the Old Sergeant and I had a great time. The atmosphere is really nice and there is a good selection of beers to choose from. On my first visit I was pleasantly surprised to see they had keiserkreiner on the menu which I thoroughly enjoyed. I'll be back.

I didn't eat there but it's a nice little place following the refurb they did a while ago.

Nice pub, friendly bar staff and good selection of beer. Shame about Billy no mates who sits at the table next to the garden playing the volume on his phone loud enough for those on mars to hear drinking Birra Moretti alone!!! Shame he can't afford to buy a set of headphones, either that or he is simply an entitled idiot. Can blame the pub for the low standard for clientele though, hopefully he was just visiting!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this place, the service and cleanliness are exceptional. The chef needs a tweak - food interesting, but overcooked, however - you couldn’t ask for a friendlier venue. Lovely time - had by all. Thank you.

Popped into this pub today on my walk. Thanks to Tim for being so friendly. Had a lovely chat about the history of the pub. My dad's favourite in the 70 s . It's certainly changed a lot since then. Great Decor and atmosphere even though it was quiet due to the time of day. Looking forward to popping in again for open mic night. Thanks Tim also for charging my phone.

The food is old and disgusting. The atmosphere is nice for a drink only, that's all. Food wise 0 stars rating.

Very dog friendly hidden gem with free darts in lovely but small garden and pool table upstairs All live sport shown. We didn't have food but looked to have a good selection and lovely staff

This was a pleasant little spot for a surpise celebration. A tradional pub with modern nuances like space for a modest dance floor and a larger room available upstairs. Drinks may be a little pricey, but the staff were great and quick to serve. The place looks really nice and fresh on the outside, so that was good to see. I look forward to the next celebration there.

Had a great Sunday roast dinner last night with great real ale. Chelsea match was on.Landord was great and brilliant friendly patrons. Special mentions for Landlord Tim, Bruce the mastiff puppy and Andy Smith the avid Chelsea fan.A really great boozer

The club sandwich and chips were well made and very tasty.

Great place to just chill out. Lovely game's room upstairs pool table, and darts. Barmen even made a pizza for the kids on the house. Food is good and plentyful. Staff are friendly and not pretentious, unlike some pubs in the area.

Having made occasional trips to the Sarge post Bronwyn, new landlord Tim is doing a sterling job running the place. Was at the open mic night which was very enjoyable and today on the recommendation of a friend I had their scampi, the scampi was plump and the sides were very generous too. Get yourselves down here.

Really good place. First time here but had a Monday menu deal. A pont of Beer and burger, for just £10.98 and the burger was really good and well presented.

A wonderful little pub. The barmaids were lovely: friendly and helpful. There is an outdoor area under cover that would be great in summer. Everything was clean and tidy. Myriad seating options available. The Guinness was excellent as was the Harvey's Sussex Best.

Drinks were expensive 4.50 for bottle of Bud

Many years ago I went to a famous England game in Italy. " tear gassed in Turin " . Still more enjoyable than a night in the Sarge. DISREGARD THE ABOVE!! New management, completely different pub now . New guv'nor knows how to look after his punters; he's got the draught ale to satisfy some discerning palates ( moaning old boys) , lager and shorts good too. And they know how to cook! More importantly, the vibe is just right.

We have been regular customers 4 years ago, but because of bad management and rude attitude, we stop visiting The old Sergeant. This Sunday we accidentally pop up for a beer and we had a chance to try one of the best Sunday roast. I'm quite picky regarding the food and I have been nicely surprised but the new owners, friendly staff and delicious food. I would recommend it again.

What a lovely surprise! Walking on by, popped in to satisfy our curiosity, and were, immediately, warmly welcomed by Jamie and Tim - but the decor and ambience were equally as warm and welcoming. Only question we had was....Why did we wait so long to visit this wonderful pub and restaurant? 10/10. A++++. Nick & Maya.

Popped in on a Thursday evening. It was dead so no atmosphere at all. The bar staff struggled to understand the order (language barrier) or use the till. Scampi fries £1.50 a bag. Ouch. Won't be in a rush to return. Edit: As a non regular you call it as you see it. No need to pass on any concerns. It can't be easy to be thrust into a front service role like that having just entered the country and with limited language skills. Good luck to the girl.

Food was absolutely delicious today when my partner and I went for lunch. The barman was very charming too. Will definitely be returning.

Large bar area with comfy seating, even has a large function room available. Outside garden area . Food available. Good selection of drinks. Friendly staff and new management. Would recommend a visit !

Excellent local pub serving tiptop cask ale and good value, tasty food. Very friendly and comfortable place although sport sometimes dominates the place.

Only a single visit so far. Nice enough pub at first glance. Had the Tuesday ribeye steak special which was okay. The steak was cooked well to medium rare, but pan fried with no seasoning and a bit oily for me personally. Reliance is heavy on the accompanying sauce for any flavour.

Nice friendly pub on Garrett Road. Recommend for relaxing lunch and lager.

Appears to be a kinder garden, not a pub! Orders are only taken online?! Takes ages... you have to fill all your personal information including your address... just so you can order a coffee! The music is so low... especially outside, there's basically no music! Definitely not going back!

Came in at 10pm for a drink. Looked at and treated like dirt by the 2 staff members who were standing around. House white horrible.

Just moved to the area and fancied trying the pub for some food. Was sat down at a table and told someone would be back to take my order. Nobody came back even after trying to make eye contact. Waited 25 minutes and left.

Like an old sweater you know and love. Good range of beers, cosy atmosphere with nice fires and friendly staff.

Went to watch the match very friendly staff work very hard in a packed pub and lovely weather will be a regular on a Sunday afternoon for next season Chelsea game live been back on Sunday only not but once again very friendly customers some l already know friendly staff and both owners make you welcome very cosy place and would willing take my family to eat one Sunday went last Sunday will be there again this week drinks are cheap for youngs pub and back to my roots in the 70s and relax without people looking over their shoulders saying look there new very comfortable pub would recommend to friends and family 6th December we had Christmas dinner well unbelievable we all left something on our plates absolutely delicious meats of your choice very well cooked no bones Turkey when cut just touched fell apart so tender for £29.99 cheap anyone stuck book there staff could not had been more helpful service was quick worth seven stars back next year and the football

I used to go there many times and usually it’s lovely, but it happened I went there on a Friday night and I saw another regular customer being kicked out from the owner (who was completely wasted), because she asked for a glass of water for a friend. She firstly told her very rudely to get it from the toilet and then just started screaming at her when she asked why she would say that to her. I haven’t gone since then, it felt kinda scary. Also apparently that happens a lot. I feel like this shouldn’t happen and maybe I would advice the owner not being drunk when working..

Nice bar and garden - they also sell art which is hung on the walls with price tag cards...

Love it! The epitome of a local. They're also friendly to occasionals! Food is brill, not over fancy but tasty and filling. Prices good for the area and a nice little beer garden for when the weather allows. Sport on two TVs, but not on loud so it doesn't take over the ambiance. Popular with residents and passers-by alike.

It wasn't the best shop I have been to but it could have been better if the prices were more reasonable. The service was good

Nice pub with good choice of drinks and food.

The staff are always really nice here which keeps us coming back regularly. Food is also quite decent and reasonably priced. Decent roasts and the bratwurst hotdogs are good too. Not a huge selection on the taps, but quality over quantity is fine by me. Pints are always fresh and cold. I wish they would bring the white bait back on the menu - loved that and it's difficult to find in London these days!

They have a really nice function room at the top of the pub, wish is perfect for private parties. was able to set up a dj and sound system ! The staff are really friendly and have a lovely outside area ! Recently had a new refurb to top of it !

This traditional English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 pub serves tasty Sunday roasts, burgers 🍔, pies, fish 'n' chips 🍟, changing specials and even a vegan dish among others. There's a nice garden area too for the summer.

It was the closest pub in my place, but l’m sorry that I’ve been this kind of lovely pub just once. There are pretty wide garden in the outside. Cozy place. Thanks to my boyfriend who brought me this pub.

This pub is one of our favourites in the area, especially since it's been renovated. The inside is cosy and there's a spacious outside area with a comfy snug. While the drinks are pricey, it's worth remembering this is London and a Youngs pub, so a round isn't going to be cheap. However what makes this a five-star review is the food, especially the homemade burgers (which are two-for-one on a Tuesday) and the daily specials. The burgers are the best I've ever had and they're incredible value for money. The staff are all lovely too and there's always a nice mix of regulars, families, dogs and passers-by. I would recommend if you find yourself in Wandsworth.

This is a lovely little pub. It offers Sunday roasts (that are really 'spectacular') for under £11.00. It's utterly non-pretentious. It shows football, and not egg chasing. It seems like it has had a recent 'face-lift' inside and out. A pint is still under £5.00. 'A beautiful garden outside. 'Really friendly staff.

Came here on opening night after a renovation. Decor is good with a small but nice outside area,pub seems friendly with a good pub varied menu( didn’t eat)the prices a tad steep £8.50 for small bottle presseco £6.50 for pint of moretti. Band were brilliant as usual, overall a great night had by all of us.

Not a bad pub in and of itself, but the service is consistently bad. Just been served by a teenager who was talking on her phone the whole time, and the previous visit saw me served by a lady who was pretty rude too. I'd go either over the road to Tir Na Nog for a spit and sawdust pub, or in the other direction to the Jolly Gardener on the Grosvenor. They're all better.
