Siamo andati a visitare Londra e come zona dove trovare l'hotel abbiamo scelto Hammersmith.

At the suggestion of my son I visited Duck & Waffle. The only reservation available during my stay was 10:30pm on a Sunday night. I arrived at 9:30 and they allowed me to sit at the bar and use my deposit (mandatory deposit to make a reservation here) i ordered the Truffle & Parmesan Fries and Duck Barbacoa Tacos. The fries were tasty and the tacos were tiny and good but not spectacular. My drink consisted of a large chunk of ice and barely any liquid. The views are amazing especially the lift ride up and down. Go for the experience and take plenty of money.

I’ve been there for dinner. The atmosphere was cozy and nice. However, the stuff was super slow. It took me nearly 2 hours to finish dinner. There was a huge gap between starters and main. I ordered an onion soup which wasn’t the traditional French onion soup and it wasn’t tasty. The soup arrived cold, not even warm, cold. The portion of the soup was extremely small (3-4 spoons and over). I had to get a second starter. The cevice was tasty but again extremely tiny portion, it felt like the chef is afraid to put food in to people plates and he spends time only to garnish. Then my main arrived. I got the most expensive individual dish in the menu, the fillet steak. Oh dear, I asked for medium and arrived well done, the portion of the meat was a joke. It was like 150g - 170g max. The fillet steak is nearly £40 but for such price, you expect more meat. When the bill arrived it felt like I was in a expensive restaurant in central London. Overall the place looks ok but extremely super overpriced for what you get. I left Holly Bush with a bitter feeling. The feeling was I don’t feel full, these people wanted only my money without doubt. If I was paying this money but the portions were double, I would be super happy. But you can’t serve to adults portions made for kids and charge customers that ridiculously high. I wouldn’t recommend this place for food to anyone, unless if you want to throw away your money and then end up in a kebab shop to curb your hunger.

Communication with Sophie was impeccable, she did excellent at making sure everything was clear and concise. Service was excellent, as was the food. Venue was lovely, the only reason for four stars out of five was because the music was a bit loud

I love Jolly Farmers. It is my local and the staff are lovely. The menu keeps changing, don’t know why. Last night I struggled to pick something that i liked and when i did it was disgusting hence I didn’t pay. Whoever in the company changes the menu needs to be sacked. We used to go there at least 3 times month as a group but we wont be going again.

Still a very odd/bad idea of a “pub”. Flat beer without fail on every begrudging visit here. Completely disinterested staff, wonky tables, but at least the new toilets are somewhat clean. I’d say it is best to avoid unless you weirdly enjoy these sorts of places as some seem to - for you lot, it gets five stars.

Brill restaurant / pub. Hidden away and quietly doing its thing. Amazing food, fab atmosphere, nice crowd and great staff. Music on Mondays, which is highly recommended. Good fireplace. Outdoor secret garden for when it’s warm. With blankets for when it’s not.

As much as I hate to admit it Wetherspoons seem to have got it right. This is a great place to meet people though it can get busy and noisy at lunchtime and after work. The app is brilliant and I love it when your food and drinks just magically arrive. Tea is just £1.54 and you can stay all day drinking it. I had the full breakfast. It was too much food! The one drawback of the app is that there is no way to say "don't give me toast".
