Hansom Lounge in Camden

Londres era nuestra última parada de unas vacaciones de Navidad de dos semanas, así que pensé lo bueno que sería tomar unas copas en el Hansom para terminar unas vacaciones maravillosas. Reservé con antelación e incluso comprobé que estaba bien solo para reservar una mesa para bebidas solo y no me dijeron ningún problema. Al llegar al Hansom, la señora de la casa dijo que a la política del hotel no le gusta que los huéspedes no coman, y varias veces me dijeron que necesito gastar un mínimo de £ 25 por persona, lo acogedor que fue eso, sentí que mi pareja y yo estábamos siendo juzgados. Nuestro camarero que tomó el pedido era muy distante, antipático, sin interacción un poco como un dependiente en una tienda de diseño superior mirando por su nariz. Incluso añadió 12. 5% de cargo por servicio, solo deseo ahora mirando hacia atrás que insistí en que se quitara, pero no lo hice. Así que lo que había planeado para algo especial algo romántico cayó de bruces.

Decidí ir a The Hansom ya que frecuento los maravillosos Grand Comedores Midland. Los impresionantes interiores de Sir Gilbert Scott son difíciles de superar, pero oh querido cómo el Hansom ha caído en tiempos difíciles y por las críticas también lo ha hecho el hotel. Se ha vuelto muy cansado, el sofá de terciopelo verde donde me senté necesitaba una nueva tapicería y estaba muy incómodo. El personal no era nada amable y de hecho mi camarero fue grosero. Nadie sonrió ni dispensó ninguna cortesía, que debería ser parte de la experiencia. Fue muy tranquilo, pero me dijeron que solo tenía una hora antes de tener que desalojar esto fue antes de que el camarero no saludara o preguntara lo que me gustaría. En absoluto acogedor y para un café que cuesta £ 7. 00 y un Croissant muy promedio de la variedad producida en masa que cuesta £ 6. 00 . más por supuesto un cargo por servicio, todo sumado a una parada de café muy pobre. Déjalo pasar, hay muchos cafés geniales a pocos pasos del hotel. Este Hansom Cab ya pasó sus días de gloria ...

Absolutamente fabuloso entorno y se veía particularmente bonito adornado con luces chispeantes y decoraciones navideñas. Salió a tomar un café y en un principio le dijeron que no había asientos disponibles. Señalamos un par de mesas vacías y se las mostramos a regañadientes. Para ser justos, podría haber sido solo ese miembro del personal que estaba un poco apagado como todos los que tratamos después de que era encantador. 3 cafés eran £ 21 (incluido un 12 . 5 % cargo por servicio). Bonito shortbread incluido y vale la pena para ver la decoración encantadora.

Mi amigo y yo disfrutamos de un fabuloso té de la tarde aquí como parte de un paquete de spa. Tuve la opción vegana y me impresionó mucho la calidad de la comida, especialmente los pasteles que nunca te darías cuenta que no contenían lácteos. Los sándwiches de salmón ahumado falsos estaban hechos con zanahorias y tenían la misma textura y sabor, que era muy inteligente. Nos ofrecieron una segunda ronda de sándwiches, que se sintió como una excelente relación calidad-precio. Mi única pregunta pequeña sería más opciones de té descafeinado, ya que me sorprendió que solo había desayuno inglés y no Earl Grey. Estábamos sentados junto a un arpista en vivo que se sumó a la sensación decadente de la hermosa arquitectura en el impresionante edificio. En general, una tarde maravillosa se tuvo y volverá.

Tuvimos una muy mala experiencia en el restaurante Hansom hoy. Fuimos a celebrar el 70 cumpleaños de mi madre y habíamos reservado el té de la tarde. Éramos 4 adultos y 2 niños pequeños, así que hicimos una reserva para 6. Mi marido es diabético, así que no puedo comer pasteles. Cuando llegamos nos dijeron por la parte delantera de la señora de la casa que TENÍAMOS que pedir 4 tés de la tarde porque la reserva se hizo para 4 adultos y el té fue preordenado el día anterior. Se sintió muy condescendiente y nos sentimos conversados. Si esa es realmente la política, no quedó claro en la reserva y me hicieron creer que estaba equivocado y tratando de salirme de un acuerdo. Ahora hemos estado en el té de la tarde en un montón de hoteles diferentes, incluyendo el Ritz y Dorchester y nunca se ha dicho eso. Se sentía realmente embarazoso y nada agradable. Este funcionario manejó esta situación de manera extremadamente deficiente. Quería irme en ese momento y estaba muy avergonzada por mi madre, que queríamos pasar un buen rato por su cumpleaños. La persona de frente de la casa fue grosero y muy agresivo cuando nos dijo eso y se fue a hablar con su gerente solo para volver a decirnos que estaban bien para dejarnos pedir 2 tés de la tarde y 2 platos de su menú normal para la otra parte que acordamos, pero realmente empapó el ánimo y desde entonces fue solo un sh@tshow. Tardaron probablemente 45 minutos de llegar para tomar nuestro pedido. Finalmente recibimos 2 platos de bocadillos y comida para los niños. Habíamos pedido pollo y helado. Trajeron el pollo y dejaron el helado sentado hasta que los niños terminaron con su plato principal para que el helado fuera líquido. Llegaron los platos fuertes, pero no pasteles. El filete también estaba salpicado desafortunadamente. Derramamos agua pero nadie la limpió ni ofreció una servilleta nueva. Los platos no estaban despejados, tuvimos que llamar a los camareros para pedir platos pequeños para comer los sándwiches. 2 horas allí todavía no había ninguna vista de ningún bollo o pastel. En ese momento mis hijos estaban súper cansados y hartos y francamente solo queríamos ir a casa. Me quejé con la misma señora (frente a la casa) y me dijeron que era una práctica estándar dejar una cantidad decente de tiempo entre cursos. ¡No creo que 2 horas sea razonable esperar por bollos y pasteles! Esto ciertamente no sucedió la última vez que fui aquí para el té de la tarde. Le dije que en realidad solo queríamos ir a casa y ya nadie estaba de humor para pasteles, que realmente no estábamos contentos y francamente súper decepcionados con el servicio. Ella era tímida, sin disculpas y solo seguía diciendo déjame comprobarlo. Finalmente, su gerente vino y nos ofreció una reducción en la cuenta y empaquetó los pasteles para llevar. Fue una experiencia abrumadora donde no se tomó el té de la tarde. Les había dicho en la reserva que era para un gran cumpleaños, pero no se hizo nada para que mi madre lo hiciera especial. Tampoco se sentía particularmente agradable para los niños y acogedor a una familia con 2 niños pequeños. La única gracia salvadora fue que estábamos todos juntos, pero el día fue completamente arruinado por la experiencia. ¡Muy, muy malo! No puedo recomendar. Servicio caro y horrible!

I went there with my sister and friends for a drink and dessert. We were very warmly welcomed by Mariusz, who tried to make sure we had everything we needed. The desserts were delicious, it was just a shame that there was no my favorite lemon cake... the whole thing was completed by the good service of Kris... we spent a very nice evening and we will definitely come back there.

I have been meeting people here for drinks and afternoon snacks a few times. The location is definitely a big plus as it’s so conveniently situated above St Pancras Station within the Renaissance Hotel. Ambience is very British and classic. Drink list is more than adequate and the service is very good. This has become my de facto meeting venue in the St Pancras/King’s Cross area then!

Very disappointing - cocktails were made with low quality liquor for the price charged - no one should be using Bacardi in a cocktail that requires Rum as an example. The blame lies with the bar tender and the company. Not good enough l.

We had afternoon tea as part of a spa day. It was fabulous, delicious food, and the lovely, efficient and friendly Erinda to guide us through it, and ensure we got the best out of the food and drinks. The venue is stunning, the food fresh and tasty and you do not feel rushed or crowded. A real oasis of afternoon calm.

HEALTH AND SAFETY RISK: There was a MOUSE running about as I was eating finger sandwiches. Staff was non existent, had to get up twice to tell someone and head over to the reception area, the staff lady did not even ask if I’d liked to move to another area - I went back to my seat and the mouse was STILL THERE. 🤮🤮🤮

Excellent customer service and excellent quality of wines and fresh food served for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner that take into consideration any food allergies that you may have seriously so you never suffered an allergic reaction to any of their food or drinks. I have been a regular customer of the Hansom restaurant and the staff are always time efficient that offered excellent customer service and the whole team are genuinely nice people that offered a five star quality service at all times.

Our train was cancelled so we decided to have a quick drink in this place. Its was very relaxed compared to the others highly recommended, before travelling, the staff were very friendly especially Lee who gave us a quick tour to their amazing staircase. Will comeback again!

We have just visited The Hansom for afternoon tea. What a delight, the setting is amazing, the food delicious and service second to none. All the sandwiches were superb, really fresh and beautifully made. Warm scones, both plain and raisin with lovely fruity jam and clotted cream. The cakes were lovely, dainty and really tasty. Special thanks to Erica our waitress who was so friendly and attentive. All in all a superb, memorable afternoon and highly recommended.

My husband and I had a festive afternoon tea for our joint birthdays last Saturday. Erika was our waitress and she was amazing. Went above and beyond our expectations. Everything explained, brought more sandwiches, recommended which tea to have. Egg and truffle sandwich was my favourite, so had more.... The food was delicious. Just the right amount, cakes were fabulous. I had the chocolate tea and I would highly recommend. No one rushed us, it was relaxing and we took our own time. We will be returning.

Beautiful building and setting however very disappointing food. Two of us ordered the fish...thin and tasteless; very poor options for gluten free..ended up with skin on fries. Finger sandwiches were disappointing, turkey was processed and beef tasteless. Rump steak was the best selection we made, however peppercorn sauce came in the smallest jug ever. We won't be back.

Pleasant surroundings but skin on chips tasted as if they'd just been brought in from McDonalds, not a skin in sight, and why there needs to be a £1.62 service charge to carry a (very nice) £13 glass of wine a few yards, I know not. We went to this bar for a cocktail while waiting for the restaurant we booked to open. We sat at the bar, I ordered an Istanbul and my partner ordered a Jerez. To cut a long story short the Jerez cocktail did not contain the exact ingredients that were listed in the menu, hence the 'mis-selling/fraud title'. Instead of the Gonzalez Byass Nectar Pedro Ximenez (a rather expensive and sweet sherry to complement the richness of the rum) the bartender used Tio Pepe (a dry and rather cheap sherry). When my partner queried this he simply said that the sherry shown on the menu was a 'misprint' (which is repeated on the online menu I should add). My partner complained that the Jerez cocktail was undrinkable given that the Tio Pepe is a dry sherry and it did not go with rum. We were more than willing to give feedback either to the bartender or the manager but neither was interested in knowing why we asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill, although the manager did offer us a 'free drink' which we refused given the poor experience of the cocktails we just had. All I can say is do not ask for cocktails in this bar!

First and foremost - this is the only ‘proper’ afternoon tea I have ever had where they use teabags instead of leaves. Isn’t that sacrilege? And just plain wrong? When my second pot of Earl Grey tasted odd, I looked into the pot and saw a mint leaf floating there .. presumably an unwashed pot from a previous mint tea. Hmmm Sandwiches were stone cold straight from the fridge, therefore rendering the bread hard and the fillings tasteless. Pastries were uninspiring. Scones were good and warm. Oh yes, service was slow and disjointed, with the tea being served a good 15 minutes before the very cold sandwiches. At £38 a head this is to be avoided ... don’t say you weren’t warned. Sorry for tourists who may think this is what a nice afternoon tea should be ... it isn’t. Utterly unimpressive. I’m hoping someone in the hotel’s F&B hierarchy will take note ... though I doubt it!

Today my two friends and I had lunch at The Hansom which is located inside the St Pancras Renaissance hotel in the station. Our booking was for 1.30pm but we arrived about 10 minutes late (no problem). Restaurant was less than half full and appears to be located in the reception lobby. Our table had two soft swivel chairs and a long sofa. The sofa was not really suitable for dining - too low and squashy. Probably fine for more informal dining such as afternoon tea or just enjoying a drink. To start Two of us had the Citrus Cured Salmon with Pickled shallots, green chilli, soft herbs and a rye cracker. Very pleasant. One of my friends chose the Ham Hock & Parsley Terrine with Pickled mushrooms, truffle mayonnaise and a sourdough crouton. Delicious she said. Al three of us had fish, chips and mushy peas. The chips came salted, the plate also contained half a lemon and a little jar of Wilkins tartare sauce (really expected fresh rather than from a jar). The mushy peas was a small portion and was the best item on the plate. The fish was ok but nothing to write home about. The chips were very crispy, tough and greasy. I feared cracking a tooth on them and had to give up. We shared a bottle of Chapel Down fizz (£53). Service was very slow and we had to chivvy them up for our main course. As soon as we had eaten that we requested the bill, by now it was 4pm. Our total bill including service was £165.75. So, it was ok, not brilliant, not shocking, just average. I wouldn’t return simply because there are better places to go.

After two long years this was our delayed summer get together and so we were hoping for a real treat. With all of us coming from all over and having our trains coming into St Pancras, this restaurant seemed the perfect location for us. The restaurant is located in part of the old station booking hall which is lovely but that is where the charm ended. We felt as if we were sitting in a reception area rather than a restaurant which was a bit off- putting. The tables were more suited to afternoon tea or a casual coffee than lunch but we were happy to be there. The starters were lovely if a little overpriced. The ham hock terrine and the salmon were both really nice. The mains on offer all seemed a little disappointing and pricey and so we all opted for fish and chips which at £20 wasn’t a cheap option. The mushy peas were lovely but you literally got a tablespoonful. The fish was just ok but the chips were horrible. They were hard and greasy. The meal was served on bits of paper which, after adding tartare sauce, became a mush and it was hard to discern what was paper and what was meal. The staff were ok but not efficient enough. Having arrived at 1.30pm we were still waiting for our main courses at 3pm which is unacceptable given that the restaurant wasn’t full and was mainly serving afternoon teas. All in all a very underwhelming and expensive two courses. We all had trains to catch and so couldn’t wait any longer and anyway, the desserts were not appealing in the least so there was no loss. There is an additional 12.5% automatically added to our bill for gratuity which I really object to as well. This experience was utterly disappointing.

Waited a long time to be seated. Then got sat at a table that had crumbs and mess all over the floor. The lady who served us was very pleasant but it seemed to take forever to get our afternoon tea. The sparkling tea was tasteless and the afternoon tea was served to us on plates rather than the traditional stands, which defeated the object - as we were giving our daughters their first experience of an afternoon tea. The cakes were amazing but I do feel that portion sizes could have been much smaller, as there were lots left over by us and by others having afternoon tea. I think the idea of somebody eating sandwiches, the huge scones and then x4 full sized cakes is a little ghastly! And I always feel disappointed if I get through the sandwiches and then cannot eat anything else?! With afternoon tea - Less is ALWAYS more. Miniature everything, then if people eat it all and want more - go ahead and offer it, but full sized everything is not necessary and creates so much wastage. Again, here - another place in London with lots of suits rushing round and not much happening. Very frustrating.

A visit to the relaxed but stylish lounge bar of the historic St Pancras Hotel is a lovely way to end a day out in London before catching the train home. Enjoy the architecture, comfort and faultless service but be prepared for a couple of cocktails to set up you back £40. Oh and while you're there pop to the loo and on the way admire the beautiful staircase used in the Spice Girls Wannabe video.

It was a nice environment to enjoy afternoon tea but the afternoon tea itself wasn’t that amazing. You kind of expect the savouries, the sweets and the scones to all arrive at once on a beautiful stand for you to graze on at your leisure. But the sandwiches arrived first, on individual plates and they had been pre-made wrapped in clingfilm on the plate and stored in the fridge prior to being served. So the sandwiches were cold and firm and the plate was refrigerated and cold too so not the nicest tasting sandwiches. The deserts were nice but I have had better scones.

As a 'connoisseur' of afternoon teas in London having visited almost all of the luxury venues, i would definitely not recommend this one. The 5 tiny sandwiches were unbelievably poor: the bread was dry on the outside which suggests that they had been made and left. The fillings were almost non existent. Although i had provide 4 days notice for 'halal' option, the meat sandwich was replaced with an inedible one: white bread with a slice of beetroot and a dab of pesto....eeeeuuuurgh. They do not replenish sandwiches which was fine as they were not good.The scones were acceptable but the cream was presented in a Rhoda's dairy carton with a small pot of jam. I didnt even bother putting it on Instagram as it was embarrassingly sub standard food and presentation. For a luxury hotel St Pancras Renaissance, the afternoon tea needs a badly needed overhaul.

I visited The Hansom for afternoon tea this afternoon. We were offered a very good selection of teas and infusions. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were very tasty. A substitution for a type of sandwich that we couldn’t eat was offered by our friendly, courteous waiter Francisco. Service was excellentI would recommend this Afternoon Tea.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea at the Hansom for our wedding anniversary, the food was wonderful and they were great with dietary options the gluten free afternoon tea was great and delicious. The waitress who looked afternoon was wonderful and looked after us making sure we had everything we wanted and even brought a extra cake for our anniversary. Thankyou very much we had a lovely afternoon

First time there. Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Food was inspiring. Was surprised as to it's quality at the prices. The surrounding ambience outstanding. Staff were always cheery and helpful. Francesco mainly looked after us and did an excellent job. Will try to sit closer to the musicians next time as a guitarist although the accoustics have no issues at all and could hear perfectly throughout.

I never write reviews but I wouldn’t want anyone to waste their money by having afternoon tea here. I took my mum for a day out. The lady serving us was lovely and very accommodating. But the food was honestly awful. We got individual plates of sandwiches that had practically no filling. Then separate plates of small cakes. They were tasted but none of it was presented as afternoon tea. And the sandwiches were very very poor. It probably didn’t amount to two pieces of bread each. And the scones... two each and tiny. Clearly frozen and then defrosted. And the clotted cream came in little cartons, like long life milk. It was like airplane food. I’m truly not one to complain and I have enough money that this wasn’t gutting for me. But I urge anyone going to spend money here to avoid it. You will be ripped off. It’s actually a bit shameful that the hotel would allow this to be served. It cost me £121 and I had to laugh because of how ridiculous the food was.

I think it would be difficult to find a more impressive location in which to dine. The food was good as was the service. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Warm cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and beautiful food and drink. On the night we were served by Francesco, Eusa and Zoja and they couldn't have been lovelier. I did have a lot of trouble booking the table and noone was returning calls but I eventually called a separate extension and a wonderful lady called Beatrice who literally count have been more helpful.

Came here for a festive afternoon tea and I have been bowled over. The setting in this building is amazing! It’s so beautiful. Also had a very attentive waiter called Francesco: he ensured we were well looked after and knew all about the history of the building. Could not ask for a better evening, which was topped with some lovely live music.

¡Muy mal! Un punto es la única opción; de lo contrario, le daría cero. Estuve aquí antes en febrero y me encantó la experiencia 5 *; sin embargo, esta vez el servicio fue deficiente. El champán estaba a temperatura ambiente y la chica no tenía ni idea de nada. Los bollos estaban secos y olían a huevo. Todavía no puedo deshacerme del olor a huevo de mis manos. El ambiente era agradable y el pastel de la ópera era agradable. El té con gas de jazmín estaba bien, pero no tenía guarnición como la última vez y el té de rosas estuvo delicioso la última vez, pero esta vez fue solo agua con gas. Nunca nos dijeron si alguno de los sándwiches o dulces / bollos se puede repetir. No volveré. Vi algunas críticas negativas y no las creí y pensé que debían estar equivocadas o ser quisquillosas, ¡pero absolutamente acertadas!

Tomé un té de la tarde increíble con amigos. Personal muy amable y atento. Melissa, que nos atendió, fue fantástica y muy servicial. Era el cumpleaños de una amiga y ella hizo todo lo posible para organizar una sorpresa extra de brownie de cumpleaños. El champán que fluye libremente reservado a través de comprar un regalo era muy abundante Se lo recomendaría a cualquiera. Excelente comida y servicio.

Hemos estado aquí varias veces para tomar el té de la tarde y anteriormente lo habíamos encontrado a un precio excelente y agradable, ¡especialmente cuando estaban haciendo la oferta de champán que fluía libremente!Sabemos que los tiempos son difíciles para empresas como esta. Esta es la primera vez que nos aventuramos a tomar el té de la tarde desde que comenzó el cierre a principios de año, y teníamos muchas ganas de volver al Hansom nuevamente.Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y nos sentamos. ¡Las pantallas eran un toque agradable y los asientos eran tan cómodos como siempre! Pero esperamos lo que pareció una eternidad para los menús. Elegimos nuestros tés y esperamos nuestros bocadillos. Los rellenos estaban muy bien, especialmente el pollo de coronación. Pero parte del pan no parecía muy suave y fresco. Era como si hubieran sido cortados con mucha anticipación y guardados en la nevera.¡Y qué pasó con los bollos! ? ! ? ¡Estaban demasiado horneados y tan secos y crujientes! Me quejé y fueron reemplazados por otros igualmente horneados y secos. Muy decepcionante.El último nivel de dulces fue lo suficientemente agradable. Aunque la caja de repostería de la tartaleta de frambuesa y maracuyá fue muy blanda.Mis tés estaban buenos. Y ambos cambiamos tés sin costo adicional. Los tés oolong y genmaicha estaban a la par, aunque nuestro servidor los sirvió demasiado temprano. ¡El llamado Earl Grey de mi esposa no parecía contener mucha bergamota! ?Entiendo que es posible que las cosas no vuelvan a la normalidad por un tiempo hasta que lugares como este vuelvan a ponerse de pie, pero cobrar 38 por persona por un té de la tarde que falló en lo básico es muy decepcionante.No estoy seguro de que volveremos de nuevo. Ayer hicimos la experiencia del té de la tarde con champán que fluía libremente, que me compraron como regalo de cumpleaños y ¡fue realmente fantástico! El entorno y el ambiente es encantador, la comida excelente y las copas de champán fueron más que generosas, lo pasamos muy bien y recomendaríamos esta experiencia. Muchas gracias por hacerlo tan bueno.

Entró en The Hansom, ubicado en el Renaissance Hotel en Kings Cross Street Pancreas.Tomamos un café delicioso y nos dimos el capricho de una tarta de limón, ¡que fue sublime! Francesco fue de lo más servicial y apasionado con la tarta de limón hecha con limones sicilianos.Disfrutamos mucho del ambiente y lo recomendaría. Hay una buena variedad en el menú, dulce y salado.

Me and 2 friends visited for afternoon tea from a deal we found at Bookatable for afternoon tea and a glass of bubbly. The service we received was 2nd to none and made such a difference in the experience, I'm sorry I didn't get the name of the girl who served us but she was spot on. She explained every drink and every course and was really helpful with things like photographs and telling us all the teas.The afternoon tea itself was really tasty, the only sandwich I wasn't sure on was the salmon as it was a little soggy tasting. The scones were delicious and the mini desserts were soooo good, everything was so filling and none of us could finish it all as there was so much. Would recommend to anyone looking for a high end afternoon tea experience and especially visitors from abroad (my US friend loved it!) and in fact have already recommended to others who found it as charming as I did.

My wife and I visited the Hansom lounge part of the st Pancras Renaissance hotel which serves casual lunches, afternoon tea & cocktails. The bar was full (1 couple but had their stuff spread out) so we got a table. The staff were polite and the lounge looked nice. We looked at the menue and my wife ordered a glass of Pierre Jouet Brut champagne (Which is always lovely) and I ordered a Hackney Highball (custard vodka, lemon juice and rhubarb soda) it sounded nice but I didn't like it, very wishy washy and I'm surprised someone thinks this drink is good enough to sell. The bar served food but the only snack was was popcorn no nuts or olives etc. I didn't recognize any famous cocktails in the menu it would have been nice to see some mainstream drinks rather than obscure ones. My cocktail came to £16 so not too bad for London prices.

One of the best Afternoon Tea menus we've had. Very attentive staff, especially Mihaela. Definitely reccomend and will return again.

Era un poco ruidoso y ocupado, pero nos sentamos cerca del bar, que parecía estar un poco menos concurrido. Nuestra camarera era una persona realmente encantadora y atenta llamada Eliza. No tuvimos ningún problema con el servicio.No había ningún horario fijo, así que no tuvimos prisa para terminar nuestra comida rápidamente. Fue una manera perfecta de ponerse al día con amigos en un ambiente informal. La comida era buena y se nos permitió llevar a casa cualquier comida que no pudimos terminar.Realmente disfruté nuestro té de la tarde. No es el más decadente o formal como otros tés de la tarde, pero esto era exactamente lo que queríamos. Simplemente una excelente manera de ponerse al día después del trabajo de una manera relajante.

No se puede superar el bar Hansom por una ubicación única y hermosa, asientos cómodos y un buen lugar tranquilo para conversar, pero ahí es donde termina mi elogio. Llevé a un amigo a tomar una bebida especial la otra noche. Primero nos ignoraron durante más de 10 minutos, otros 10 minutos para tomar nuestro pedido después de haber visto el menú de bebidas, y unos 15 hasta que llegaron. Agregue otros 15 minutos más para obtener una rodaja de lima para el G&T más caro que he probado (servido en un vaso simple con solo un rollo de pepino - Wetherstones mejora en la presentación) y estábamos corriendo tan tarde que tuvimos que cambiar nuestros planes de cena. Para un lugar de este calibre, mostrar tal falta de cuidado y atención en todos los sentidos es una verdadera decepción.

We were regular customer of this venue. Having our champagne every weeks with nibbles and coming back after few Months off, it was a terrible experience. No staff to take care of you needed literally to wave for staffs to come to you. Waited 30 min for a bottleOf champagne o arrive at theTable( what the hell ??? )Asked for olives or nuts and the waiter brought us a horrible cheap bowl of olive. What did happen to this place ? A real disappointment.

A place where you can relax and chill. We had some amazing snacks and cocktails with my friends. Lee was very helpful, she made that our drinks arrive on time. We will come back to try the other bar next to it. And the building was majestic!

Only went in to share a bottle of wine with family; waitress obviously knew it was not cold by the way she was feeling it as she approached the table. Poor enough to charge £38.25 for a modest bottle of Picpoul but not even to serve it cold? Lovely use of the space in the old station, though.

What a stunning place! We had a great afternoon tea experience. The sandwiches were quite good, but the sweets were the stars of the show. Although very nice, the food wasn't the best we've ever had. The thing that made the quite hefty price, about 140 pounds for three people, worth it was the setting and the overall service. Elisa was absolutely wonderful. She took such good care of us and catered to our every need. The location is gorgeous, and the overall experience makes everything worthwhile.

Visited for a Christmas afternoon tea with a group of friends the whole experience was a huge disappointment

Had the pleasure to enjoy afternoon tea in this gorgeous Hall. A harpist was playing along as the professional, warm, kind waitress gave us relevant information on the menu and the food. Food was well-presented and varied and tasted great. We could taste as many teas as we wanted to. A really beautiful memory of an authentic afternoon tea.

I went to the Hansom for drinks and nibbles with my future sister in law before the wedding ! Bart and Nick looked after us so well - couldn’t fault the service! The cocktails were superb and the harpist created a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back with the whole family !!

My wife and I have been here before for afternoon tea a few months ago and thought we’d treat ourselves again. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of the servers on our last visit and am pleased to report this aspect hasn’t changed! On this occasion we were served by Elisa who so welcoming and chatty. I love it when you get to know the person who is serving you. She made us feel really relaxed and was more than happy to talk to us and answer any questions we had. It is for this reason alone we would happily return again.

Had a wonderful festive tea at The Hansom . Delicious tasty tea with original cakes tapping into the festive theme and beautiful atmospheric surroundings . A family group catching up on news . All made perfect by the fabulous Jessica who looked after us so well - would recommend to everyone

Everything was excellent and it is worth visiting the restaurant. We were warmly greeted and seated by the team. The food were amazing as the chef prepared and plated so beautifully. The service was one of the best one. We were treated so well. They took care of us for the whole evening. We had a great time. Thank you Andrew (manager) and the team. ♥️

We wanted to go the other bar but it was very busy so we were told to by the reception to try the hansom instead. And to my surprise service was quick and the place looks very elegant and brighter . It maybe a little bit expensive but totally worth it. Lee made sure we are looked after. So glad we tried this bar.

I made an advance reservation for afternoon tea at this hotel, time was 3.30pm last Saturday and when confirmation came back I was told time limit of 1hour 45 mins per booking. That was fine except for...............

My partner booked me afternoon tea as a birthday surprise and we were both very impressed.

We came here for Champagne Afternoon Tea on a Saturday afternoon. Excellent Service- servers were attentive and friendly. We did not feel rushed at all and enjoyed our leisurely time here. The setting is beautiful- casual but with a classy ambiance. There was a harpist playing with added to the atmosphere. The bar staff put on an excellent display of making cocktails that looked amazing.

Phenomenal afternoon tea with so many amazing tastes and yummy cakes - served by Isabel who accommodated all our fussy eater requests (1 vegetarian, 1 no mayo or mustard) with much kindness - nothing was too much trouble. Gorgeous setting too.

Desde el momento en que entramos, el personal era amable, profesional y extremadamente servicial. Nuestra camarera Isabel fue excepcional e hizo que mi día especial fuera perfecto. Me encantó la idea de poder elegir diferentes tés para beber. La comida era excelente, el huevo escocés Haggis y el rollo de salchicha de jabalí muy diferente a cualquier otro té de la tarde. Tres sándwiches de dedo son suficientes. Dos bollos calientes diferentes, seguidos de los pasteles. y un mensaje personal "Día de las Hermanas" en el plato servido por Isabel. Muchas gracias!

Arrived (smartly dressed) with a friend at 6:35pm, lovely room, busy but not packed - there were several empty tables. Waited at the 'please wait to be seated' sign for 10 minutes. Totally ignored despite trying to catch the waiters' attention. Decided to leave and on the way out through The Booking Office we mentioned this to the man at the desk. He apologised and kindly took us back to the The Hansom and found us a table. After a further 5 minute wait we managed to catch a passing waiter and ordered our champagne. Several staff members (including the one we'd ordered from) bustled around us rearranging tables and tidying chairs, but after a further 10 minutes of being ignored nothing had arrived. We left, unable to register our unhappiness as waiters continued to bustle about.

I needed a place to send some emails in between meetings yesterday and decided to try the St Pancras lounge called The Hansom. What a terrible decision. The staff brought the wrong drink twice - how can you get tea wrong? and had to wait about 30

Waited and ignored us , no one came to us and we waited very very long to be noticed and then seated!
