We only ordered scrambled egg on toast with mushrooms, half an hour wait and not even busy. Chased food as waiting for a train, waitress less than helpful. Food arrived, mushrooms cold, egg hot, toast tiny! Not good value, complaint not well received - no apology for delay. In fact, she was fairly argumentative too.. Didn't eat the food, paid only for the coffee. Would never return.

I've never been to a Carluccio's before and was not sure what to expect. I ordered a Seafood Linguine and was pleasantly surprised; the squid and prawns were tender and not chewy. My companion enjoyed their Chicken Saltimbocca, though the chicken was on the small side. The service was fairly decent, reasonably quick for lunchtime on a Sunday. Kudos to the attentive server who had a Jean Reno-esque look. My only nit about the whole experience is that the thick, tough stems on the Tenderstem Broccoli were not cut off.

Late night arrival ahead of an early eurostar trip the next morning Disneyland Paris ✨️ Orlando well and truly kicked off the magic of our trip with his Italian charm and fantastic service. He guided us through the menu to new delicious discoveries through his authentic recommendations! Deffo recommend the spinach signature penne, arancini and bread & butter pudding. Orlando strongly recommended the calzone all'nutella too for another time! We will be back ☺️ Great choice for a pre/post eurostar breakfast lunch or dinner.

Food was actually quite nice, let down somewhat by mediocre service. Seated quickly but then nothing for what seemed an age. They had run out of tomato sauce for the burger and getting mayonnaise was a struggle. A shame as it could very easily be a great experience. The automatic addition of a 12.5% service charge seemed to be pushing it under the circumstances.

I haven’t tried many dishes due to my service experience, which made me leave sooner than I intended. I only had one cocktail and one small plate. I almost left before my order was prepared, but I didn’t want to waste the effort, which I somewhat regret. The food and drink were nice, and I can’t complain about that. However, the service was unexpected and disappointing. There was only one other table occupied, and I can't help but wonder if my casual attire made a difference. Perhaps I looked unassuming and not like a spender? When I entered the restaurant from the station side, no one acknowledged me. I was left to find a table on my own, and when I asked a waiter, he simply told me I could sit anywhere. It’s worth repeating that there was only one other table occupied, yet both the manager and the waiter seemed focused solely on that table. The manager didn’t even notice that there was another table in need of attention. It took a long time to receive menus, and the way the waiter communicated with me made me feel unwelcome, as if I were a burden. I hadn’t even finished my food and drink when the waiter abruptly handed me the bill and left immediately. This was very impolite and rude. Overall, it was the worst service experience I’ve had.

Such a shame and not sure what's happened but this place is not what it once was. You could previously head in for a rapid pasta before catching a train. Now, the place is pretty empty and yet the kitchen still does not get the ticket so you don't get your food. A crying shame :-(

We paid £64 for 2 adults and 1 toddler. We only had a main meal of pasta and a drink for the adults and cheesy pasta for our kid. The food was really tasteless - I could not force myself to finish it. It truly was one of the worst pasta meals I’ve had (we didn’t expect anything impressive as knew it’s a chain). The location is lovely. I would say good for a drink pre train. Not food.

Very disappointing. Had 90 minutes before my train which I thought was plenty of time. Food served 70 minutes after arriving! Then 1 out of the 3 was the wrong order, we asked for diary free but got gluten free. Then had to wait another 10 minutes. I had to leave to catch my train and was unable to finish the meal. The sparkling water was warm and they had no ice, so they provided some what appeared to be ice scrapings from the freezer. They forgot about the bread selection starter. The restaurant was very quiet, so not quite sure why the service was so poor.

Avoid. I was sat at a dirty table, then ignored for 10 minutes so I walked out. Context: I asked if I could sit inside, waiter said yes. There were other customers already inside. I asked if I could sit at the back, the assistant manager said yes. Table was used, so manager removed some empty glasses off the table but didn’t clean spills/crumbs, didn’t bring a menu, didn’t come back. I stared at all the staff, for 10mins. A waitress was cleaning cutlery at her station. The general manager was stood at the till. I was near the kitchen door that staff came in and out of. I’d say the whole place was 20% capacity? Not busy.

I decided to stop for some food while waiting for my train, this is a decision I now deeply regret. Despite being a solo diner and simply wanting to order a dessert, it took nearly 20 minutes for someone to take my order. It was frustrating to see other guests who were seated after me already being served their drinks while I hadn't even been able to place my order... Fortunately, I did not have to endure an additional wait for the dessert menu, as I had already made my selection before arriving at the restaurant. When my food arrived, the pastry was lukewarm. The presentation was lovely, but the portion size did not justify the price. No one checked if everything was alright with my meal, even after I had finished. It was then an incredible challenge to receive my bill. The waiters seemed to avoid making eye contact, so it took a while to even be able to ask for it. Even after asking multiple servers, it took another 25 minutes for the bill to arrive. It was frustrating to feel neglected, and it seemed like other customers were receiving better service. To make matters worse, the card machine stopped working when I finally received the bill. Granted, this is not the restaurant's fault, but it undeniably adds to what was already a long list of negatives about my experience. Overall, the dessert was satisfactory; however, it failed to compensate for the subpar dining experience. I perceived a lack of hospitality and deeply regretted having spent money and time in an effort to utilize my time well while awaiting my train.

Arrived as a planned visit, before a train journey. We had to find a waiter, we were pointed in the direction of where we could sit then told the table we chose was reserved so we might have to move. We were then put under a over head air heater which was unbearable so moved our selves. After been given menu s we waited 20 minutes, we placed our orders, at that point we were told No fish or steak, we ordered seafood as a second choice and wax told no mussels, we said we take it with out, The starters were nice except the brocetta had cherry tomatoes cut in half , basically tomatoes on toast. The main courses were over loaded with squid and 3 prawns each . The risotto was garnished with a cremated Mediterranean prawn , At no time did anyone ask if the meal was ok and it clearly wasn't as I left mine and so did my husband. The desert menus were placed on our table without any interaction and we had to ask for our bill as no-one came back, other customers were heard muttering dissatisfaction,. Our bill was £89 98 we left without saying anything as they were uninterested, if the bar person cracked a smile it may have caused her a injury, will never go there again

I used to go regularly to this restaurant a few years ago when I travelled a lot for my work so I felt confident to be able to impress 3 visitors from Brazil, but it seems to be a completely different place with a different and uninspiring menu. One guest just ordered a soup (which lacked seasoning), two others ordered pasta, both of which arrived very dry and almost without any sauce. One guest ordered Penne Regina but they gave her Penne Giardineira. But the worst was my dish - Chicken Saltimboca. When it arrived the top was dried out and looked as if it had been re-heated under a grill. The small piece of chicken had been flattened to about 1 cm (this was not an escalope!) It was overcooked, dry, tough and tasteless. The Parma ham was just a tiny dried up piece on top of the chicken There was also almost no sauce which was watery and tasteless. I sent this feedback to the restaurant twice and never received any answer. I will definitely never go back there again.

Starters were nice, main courses extremely underwhelming. The ambience in St Pancras station with people queuing to board trains leaves something to be desired. I used to love Carluccio’s. Unfortunately, at least this one seems to have lost its edge. And it wasn’t even that cheap: 2 cocktails, 2 starters, 2 mains and the cheapest bottle of wine- around £60 per head with service. And although it wasn't busy, we were seated on a 2-seat no more than 6 inches from another 2-seat table, where we could hear every word of the conversation (and presuably they ours..) My lunch friend's salad looked good and was pronounced so, my carbonara was very disappointing though: burnt pancetta, a lack of seasoning (and apparently also parmesan), and too much pasta water making a runny sauce. Would not order this dish again.. And my absolute pet hate: a 'compulsory' 12.5% service charge on the bill, plus the words 'Service charge not included' Which is it? I was given a tiny bowl of sliced salted maybe cashew nuts with dried ?pesto flakes on top - I could have bought myself a large packet of salted nuts for less. Even worse was the bread - a few bread sticks, two slices of stale white bread, two small pieces of state focaccia bread. Carluccio should either take a greater interest in this place or remove his name from it. Clearly, this place caters predominantly to transient customers and doesn’t feel the need to maintain standards. This place has gone downhill.. Looks like the private equity group that has bought Carluccio’s has implemented cost saving measures that make the whole experience cheap and tacky. Potatoes were cooked from frozen as probably many other things, totally cold in the middle. Soup came out cold. Starters all came out different times in a group of 6, so food getting more cold so we could eat together. The lobster and crab tortellini tasted like cheap frozen rubbish.. couldn’t even taste crab to be honest. I also caught a mouthful of what felt like sand or some sediment as it grinded in my teeth. The restaurant had run out of so many items which were on the menu, including no orange slices or orange juice, no vanilla ice cream, no limes.. cheap cost saving operational issues from higher management perhaps? On top of this, the doors were kept open on a really cold day which meant an awful draft of cold air constantly, which is not really a pleasant experience on top of cold frozen food.. Furthermore faulty flickering overhead lights were extremely annoying, and a broken toilet… simple things like this would of been repaired years ago, but now the cheap cost saving owners don’t care to do even the simple things.. It’s a shame, Carluccio’s used to be our family gathering restaurant.. never again now. Clearly it’s had it’s time. Shame really.

Slow taking order , took some time to have table cleaned and cleared from previous customers. Food delivered swiftly once we had ordered. Slow taking payment when I had been unable to use table app. Staff seemed to be a bit distracted, frazzled although it wasn't busy.

I always thought Carluccio's was slightly higher quality than the average Italian chain. How wrong I was! This one in St Pancras station was appalling. There was zero atmosphere inside - it felt more like a cafe. The food was terrible - dry, not fresh & poorly presented. One of the toilets was out of order so only one for every one to use and it was in a disgusting state - toilets are better on the train than this one. Service was ok - that was about the only positive thing to say. That has put me off Carluccio's for good!

In great location watch Eurostar arriving if that’s your thing! Service very average brought wrong drinks twice, starter arrived quickly but I think they went out to shoot the duck before bring it to the table, food very average and quite pricey.

I’m usually very easy to please but I didn’t have a pleasant experience. The cutleries were dirty, the floor was a mess, they placed us inside next to a shelf that was filthy and fully dusty. Lastly the staff was really unprofessional and that made me feel unwelcome (not even a smile). We addressed the manager about the dustiness but it didn’t look like he cared. At least we know for the next time.

I booked a table for six of us, we arrived and were shown to our table- the decor and ambience was little more than a basic cafe. Starters were very good, mains not so good- we ordered from the set menu, £18 for 2 courses- the linguine wasn't linguine it was spaghetti served with very little Bolognese, the mussels were barely warm and I had to ask for the focaccia bread- which when it came was cold but must have been buttered whilst hot but this had now crusted over, there was no call back to the table to check if we were enjoying our food- the £18.38p service charge was ridiculous!! Paying in cash seemed a problem as the waitress didn't want too much change!! I'd mentioned on the online booking form that we were celebrating 3 special birthdays- don't go there to celebrate anything- it was a totally uninspiring experience- we chose to go to pret a porter in Kings Cross for coffee before getting our train home and found it had a warmer ambience- so that just says it all!! What a disappointment!! My first -and last experience of eating at Carluccios - poor Antonio will be spinning in his grave!!

This place used to be good. Mr Carluccio will be spinning in his grave. Dirty wines glasses. Wine served, hands grappling rim of glass. Classic Carbonnara and Beef ragu pasta ordered. Plates served to the middle of the table and not in front of us. Both disgusting. Beef hard. Carbonara luke warm, dry with some sort of pork cracking type topping. Expressed disappointment to manager who seemed somewhat in denial. Left without paying. The ever-decreasing standards of London cuisine.

Top tip: Eat on the train instead of Carluccios. This branch of Carluccios could give British Rail a tip or two about how to make a miserable time even more miserable. Terrible food. Indifferent service. Eye watering prices for what's received.

We had a fabulous lunch yesterday, under the heaters on the concourse. Massive fun, great food, wine all swiftly served, and as the waiter agreed, no calories in the pud. We friends 'who lunch' will meet there again, coming from as far away as North Yorkshire and others closer to London. Thank you, thank you. A great time.

Came here for works dinner, there was 15 of us so big group, the service was so slow, in the space of two hours we was there all we had was 2 rounds of drinks and mains. Ordering rounds of drinks was painfully slow, you think they would want to get the drinks out quickly so your more likely to drink more and spend more money.. when the mains came out they messed up the steak orders resulting in one of the steaks got completely missed, so while everyone pretty much finished their mains, the missing steak finally came out. The food was actually nice so give credit when due.. but the service was shambles..

A place with such a bad service that it doesn't even deserve one star. Besides, they sell coffee more expensive than other places, but on the other hand, they try to sell a badly made coffee almost by a force. When you object, they say the problem is with the customer. Although my home is far from this place, I came here today just to have a good coffee as I love the taste of coffee in this place. But when I saw their sarcastic and bad behavior today, I regret that I came. Although I specifically stated when placing my latte order, I "I want it extra hot and without foam". The lady who makes the coffee, she made it opposite what I've asked. When I said I didn't want it that way, she said she was a bartender for 10 years. She also told me that the coffee "I drank every day" was something impossible to make. 🤔 And she laughed sarcastically. When I said why are you laughing, she said it's fun for her. Unbelievable ! It's true, they piss you off by not making the order you gave them and they make fun of it. I found this behavior really ugly. The only place I will never go to again... I just want to ask, If it's impossible, why are you taking this order? Besides, why would I ask you to do something impossible to make? You can be a bartender for 10 years, but you don't listen to the customer. You don't care what they want. As far as I can see, 10 years has created a self-conceit in you, not a good experience. Also, I bought the coffee which you said was impossible, from Black Sheep Coffee place a little further ahead, from a smiling bartender, and drank it. It's a pity really. I only condemn you for your behavior today. Because you ruined my day. You may not care about me by just reading one customer, but one customer equals ten customers. You lost ten customers today. Me and my friends whom I have recommended and sent before. Of course, if a situation is your concern!!!

Statene lontani.

A very welcome lunch stop. We were thoroughly enjoying a walk in the Olympic Park, but feeling peckish. OK it was lunchtime, but I fancied the breakfast in a box. Which was warmed up for me. Back home (150 miles to the north), it would not have rated very highly. But in London I wanted something not vegetarian, and it rang my bell. There was the bacon, tasty sausage, beans, tomatoes, something potatoey, what was once egg and some green stuff (?) But it was warm enough, tasty, filling, and actually I quite enjoyed it. As, and when, we return for another walk I would probably choose it again. Incidentally the staff we friendly and helpful. The place was clean and tidy.
