I am a regular customer of this place... Sadly, today I've had a bad experience. I was trying to order a beer and I asked this girl (ISABEL) but she ignored me, when I called her she saw me, but she even didn't say hi. No... she was not busy, at the time the bar was not busy, and she was just walking around. I don't know the recruitment process and training, but I think they should focus on the good service also.

My second visit and both times have had extremely aggressive security. They have no respect, are aggressive, and don't listen in conversation within confrontation. They touch young woman when don't get their way and proceed to kick full groups out of 20 when don't get their way. Grabbing woman and offering "massages" is the normal behaviour here, with no second look. Bar staff are incredible, get better security.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a pub. From the moment we walked in, the staff were rude, unwelcoming, and completely lacking in any basic manners or professionalism. No greeting, no conversation, just cold stares like we were an inconvenience. We even overheard one younger male member of staff making snide comments under his breath about his opinion of customers — incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable to witness, especially when about a female. Every drink purchased from the bar felt like it was received as a personal insult to the barman, huffing, puffing and complaining under his breath. Even slamming drinks down on the bar and being aggressive to a female member of the group when she simply asked for a dash more lemonade in a lager top, to call this barman a “hospitality” worker would be a insult to the rest of the industry.

Went on Sunday for a roast beef. From the moment we walked in we were greated professionally and politely and shown to our table. Offered a drink I had a Camden Town IPA in a lovely stubby pint glass which was novel! We ordered 4 roast beefs and they were all superb, lovely beef and roast vegetables to match. Service was brilliant throughout and our server was fantastic with my elderly mother. Must be very good management here to create a team that gets everything right from start to finish. Well done everyone.

🚇 Tooting 🍺 £5.95 Pravha The Goringe Park is located on the border between Tooting and Mitcham in Southwest London. The nearest station is Tooting mainline, the nearest Tube is Tooting Broadway. The Gorringe Park dates back to 1879, taking its name from the nearby Gorringe Park Estate which is long since been swallowed up by suburbia. This was originally a Young and Co pub, Charles Wells Pub Company purchased it from Youngs in 2012. This is a vibrant and spacious multiroom pub which is set out over three floors. The main bar is located on the ground floor and is set out in a “J” shape around a centrally located servery. The decor is bold, mixing bright colours, eclectic furniture and traditional fireplaces. In the basement is a Cinema room, upstairs is a function room called The Library which has a small bar and a contemporary decorative feel. At the back of the pub is a walled beer garden with a tiki hut. The beer line up was broad and featured familiar brands, two cask ales and beers from @brewpointuk which I’ve not seen in London before. I kept it simple and ordered a Pravha, my pint was great, price point was average. The food menu was predominantly burgers with a few traditional pub grub options, Fish & Chips costs £13.95. I arrived just after opening at 12pm and was the first punter through the doors. I was greeted by the Guv’nor who was welcoming, friendly and personable. He was kind enough to give me a tour of the pub, and he told me all about the history of the pub and what they have on. Unfortunately this pub shut its doors in the summer and it is not clear what the next step is or what the future holds. One thing is for certain, pubs are closing at a phenomenal rate across the country and need as much support as they can get. Utilities companies, landlords and the government need to do a lot more. Also, they need our support in our local communities. Use it or lose it, support your local pub where you can. 📅 13th April 2024 More London Pub info @londonpubmap 🍻

We used to go to The Hitchcock when it first had a decent restaurant. In the beginning it was fine but gradually prices went up and favourite dishes disappeared off of the menu. My guess is that people stopped going because they mistook their potential audience. So we stayed away. With some trepidation we decided to give it a try because there was a new menu and different owners. We weren’t disappointed. We had starters from the snacks menu, which are well priced. I then had the best short rib of beef I’ve ever had. So much beef I couldn’t finish it but expertly cooked with excellent mash. My wife had the Pacific Prawns which looked - and she said they were - great. We had a nice bottle of wine and very good service from our server. We will certainly be back as what’s not to love. A very good restaurant and Epping Forest!

Went there last Friday and had such a great time. The pub itself is beautiful, and the food was genuinely amazing. We got there just as happy hour was happening, absolute steal for the quality of drinks and snacks. The weather was perfect, which added to the whole vibe. The staff were lovely whenever they had a moment to chat or check in, which we really appreciated. Con: Ive worked in hospitality and it was clear they were short-staffed, and still, they handled everything so well. What was a bit upsetting, though, was seeing how some customers treated them. A couple of people who claimed to be regulars caused a scene because they missed happy hour by a few minutes. The staff and manager handled it gracefully, but honestly, no one deserves that kind of treatment. Would definitely go again tho I hope the team gets more support, because they’re doing an amazing job under pressure.
