After an afternoon of beer here the guvnor bought us a round. Not necessary, but a nice gesture (particularly at £30). Needless to say we’ll be back, to what is a proper old school boozer (with some great links to Dylan and maybe even American Pie). Give it a whirl if you’re around the West End. Cheers.

Old fashioned British boozer with a good selection of beers and ales. Care has been taken to arrange the tables as to promote social distancing with table service to limit movement inside. Overall a great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff.

I can't speak highly enough of CJ and family at the King and Queen. We held a Charity Christmas Quiz Night in their upstairs function room on Wednesday and they couldn't have been more helpful or supportive. It was a fantastic night and the pub is lovely - great location and totally unspoiled! Great venue for an event or a drink with friends. Will definitely be back. Thanks again for making us so welcome!

Haven’t been here for about 40 years when I was a young man who used to chase the nurses who lived next door in a nurses accommodation in Foley St . Fast forward and I’ve changed , but the pub hasn’t, and that’s a very nice thing. There’s something comforting about this place. It hasn’t changed, and neither should it.

What comes to beers this pub was the best during our four day visit in London. The interior is very cozy and treatment friendly. Five taps of different real ales was what we did not meet elsewhere. Highly recommended.

Met the owner and just loves to make people happy. Celiac friendly for my wife with almost a dozen beers gluten free. Staff was amazing and friendly and fun. Will come back time and time again as our daughter is here for a year with studies.

The atmosphere is nice but the food was far from good. With 2 friends we took 3 different dishes, all were tasteless, and we all felt really bad after. Do not eat there !

Had a couple of pints at this establishment, while they were holding a music event upstairs with different types of acts. Was very cozy and fun and the people there were all in a good spirit and not in the typical rough week end pub one ! Will be back

Well we agree with all the recent reviews of this lovely pub which is the real deal. We enjoyed great beer and wine (wish I had ordered the 250ml!! size) with very scrumptious sandwiches and chips. We were looked after very well indeed as were all the other customers. Thank you very much to you all.

This is a good old fashioned pub. This pub doesn’t pretend. It is the real deal. What I like about this place is the good range of well kept ales and the fact that it has a carped. It is a feature that is becoming rare in pubs but that I appreciate. I’ve visited this place several times and I hope to be back.

📍1 Foley St, Fitzrovia, London, W1W 6DL ❤️ Backstreet pub in Fitzrovia just around the corner from the BT Tower. Love the architecture of this pub as it looks like German castle and there is traditional decor inside. The Landlady was great, serving multiple customers at once. The King and Queen is just what you are looking for in a no nonsense classic English Pub. As a Canada traveler this place became my go to for a mid day pint or two. Friendly staff, great beers, sports on the T.V's and good post work hour crowd. Just what I was looking in central London. Thanks guys

Food served until 2:30 pm, after that it becomes a classic pub, where people come to talk and watch football on the telly. They had some exciting cask ales, so I returned later for more :)

Central location made it ideal to meet up with friends from a wide area. Staff were friendly and the locals did not make you feel out of place. Normal prices for beer and wine and had sports tv on but not intrusive. Toilets had a new skiing game.

Tucked away in trendy Fitzrovia this is a refreshingly 'normal' pub with a great selection of beers. Its is small and cosy, just like a pub should be. It has a great atmosphere and very friendly helpful staff. Being from 'Up North' they even offered to adjust the nozzle on the pump to make my beer more frothy! Highly recommended place to stop off for a drink anytime.

I've worked in central London for many years, and still find a packed pub the most frustrating experience, and one I generally avoid. That's what makes this place so wonderful...Tucked in a back street in an area teeming with packed pubs, the King & Queen had a wonderful atmosphere. Chilled, local, friendly and traditional. No gastro, trendy, faddy nonsense here. Just a good honest pub.My favourite part is that they stock a big range of gluten free beer, which is such a rarity these days. So happy to say this has become my work local and long may it last. But it's my secret... So don't spoil it :)

I've known this pub for many years. It never, ever fails to keep me happy. Excellent staff, who are cheeky, yet professional. Food that is always top whack, without being too expensive. Great range of lagers and ales and a quite amazing range of spirits. If you're looking for a cocktail bar, move on, but if you want a good traditional pub, look no further.

I lot of people seem to be happy with a pub just because they get a pint and something to eat. I’m not. I take my drinking seriously and pride myself in not wasting time in low-quality drinking establishments. This is a proper pub as pubs should be. It is in a beautiful building and the interior of the pub is traditional. The range of ales is good and those I had were of good quality. I paid 3,90 for a pint of golden which isn’t too bad for this part of London. It seems to be popular with both students and the older generation so it can be busy at times, but that bodes for quality. A drink in this pub will not be a waste of time.

What a pub is about - what is in the taps. Several interesting brews, including an imported Kusovice every bit as good as the same pint downed in Prague. Not a fancy pub, and not deafening with piped music. Just a good, sound, local boozer.

Proper respect to this place for having a selection of gluten-free beers (a must for me, unfortunately). Chap behind the bar was very helpful, and they let you take your own food in if their kitchen is closed - never come across that before. Oh, and they have an old-fashioned, manual till, which means the staff know the prices (and mental arithmetic). Also a rarity these days.

For me this is what a pub should be. It's got character from a bygone age and is what I imagine a Victorian pub would be like. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the selection of beers and ales is good. Traditional Sam Smiths finest from a well kept cellar jostle for position with the latest in vogue drinks from the likes of Brewdog. Needless to say the Sam Smiths is superb. Visited at its midday opening and by 1pm the pub was filling with diners including a works Christmas party who gave the whole place a great Festive feel - my day being made when I was lucky enough to get a Christmas hug from a very attractive lady. I throughly recommend The Windsor Castle but don't expect to receive hugs LOL

I went to your Gresham street branch on a Tuesday night with 2 of my friends. There were barely any people in the venue! We got our first round quite fast. When I went to order our second, I ordered 2 Asahi and a double Baileys. When the bartender free poured my drink I asked him if it is a double and he said yes, to which I asked him if it is a 100ml or 50ml, as usually Baileys is served as 50ml for single and 100ml for a double! Another bartender said double is always 50ml and has never heard of it being 100ml. I asked him to check with his manager and he said "I will only check because I am curious" which was weird but ok.... after checking with the manager, he said it's 50ml, to which I said it's fine and was about to pay. The first bartender then laughed in my face (not a giggle) a full blown belly laugh, to which after told "no need to laugh about it" he said " it's ok, it's ok... no worries"! I have managed bars for 10 years and this is the first time anyone has laughed in my face, especially when not knowing standered serve for bevarages... Manageress was alright... came ready for an argument however still listened and tried to sort the situation! Overall, was an alwful experience and I left slightly after, as I wasn't feeling like drinking in this environment.
