It's fabulous here. We were treated to lunch on Friday and we had a great experience! Lovely welcome, really appreciated the level of service here! Beautifully laid tables and comfy seating. We enjoyed a cocktail before our meal,It was hard to choose mg main course as there were some great choices on the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed a very nicely cooked Steak and my fries with Truffle and Parmesan were gorgeous. We had some very good Wines with our meal . Everything was superb and we were given lots of time at our table. We were guests of Mr Wright and can honestly say this whole experience really was a treat and we look forward to coming again.

Nothing was too much trouble! We arrived to a warm and friendly welcome. Bags and coats were stored in a cloakroom area. Our waitress was really friendly and helpful. I'd been given a voucher for a 5 course tasting experience but on arrival I asked if it could be used towards the a la carte menu which was absolutely no problem - super helpful for a fusspot like me!! The food was absolutely delicious!! The friendly touch of a happy birthday message on the dessert was very sweet and unexpected. My cocktail was superb and I especially enjoyed the large shot of champagne it came with!

We had a virgin voucher for two, specifically the Champagne celebration experience three course meal with sides. We could only book 48 hours in advance which meant it was hard to book around other experiences we had included in our voucher which was the Shard visit. This made it hard to organise our trips around this steakhouse meal, but luckily we got a table. We accidentally found ourselves initially at the wrong steakhouse, note it is NOT the one in the Hilton hotel… On the voucher it said it was Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, but it is London Steakhouse for the meal. We arrived 30 minutes late which they accommodated as we rang up, and they sat us at the bar whilst waiting to be seated. The selection of drinks was somewhat eye-watering regarding the cost, especially for a 3-Star rated steakhouse - appreciate this is London however. After deciding not to have a drink, we were sat at our table along the back wall which was quite crammed and very close to other people. We had to move the table out to fit in, and the waiters kept knocking into the people next to us. Thankfully our champagne arrived promptly, and we picked our food from the set menu which was very limited in terms of not adding additional supplement charges, but the waiter explained the menu well. Our lamp on the table also did not work which ruined some of the ambience. We received our starters after ordering maybe 2 minutes before which was super speedy, this was the salmon with 2 mini pancakes and the soup of the day. The portion of the salmon was similar to that of a kids meal, which was more of an appetiser than a starter. The soup was hot enough to eat right away, and did have good flavour and consistency. The mains we ordered were the 7oz Rump with peppercorn sauce and the braised boeuf bourguignon. The rump was medium rare, however hard to cut into with the knives provided, leaving my wrists and the plate destroyed… It did taste OK however, and wasn’t chewy despite how hard it was to cut into. Would be good if they provided proper steak knives for a steakhouse. The bourguignon seemed somewhat microwaved, composing of quite a few fatty lumps of grizzle - school dinner style stew and mash. The desserts we had the chocolate mousse and the lemon posset - probably the highlight of the entire 3 course meal. They also asked if there was any special occasion for the meal which they then surprised my partner with a sparkler which was nice, along with “congratulations” written in chocolate sauce on both our plates which is a nice touch. These tasted amazing. We also had the apron given to us, which was included as part of the experience. I highly recommend if you eat here, buy the virgin voucher for more than 50% off the meal we had, as we certainly would not pay £200+ for this meal including the charges like 9.5% service charge and a charge of £1.50 each just to have a table. If I am honest, I would prefer to eat at miller and carters for half the price, better quality food. The waiters were lovely, but the food we found let it down despite the venue being completely booked. Would I go again, probably not? But it’s an experience for a London priced steakhouse.

I absolutely love this place! been here a couple of times with my partner and the service and food is perfect! Cant remember the name of the gentleman who served us but i think he was the assistant manager :) . I am a sucker for details and even noticed how impeccable his uniform was! Yes i told him that ahhaha. Hopefully he will be working when we are back for my bday lunch! (23rd april) . I love well done steaks and the chef did an amazing job! Not only was well done, it was soooo soft!! not everyone can pull that off!! Well done! Cant wait to back and stuff my face with that amazing food and cocktails!! xxx

This is a fantastic restaurant! It was my very first (but not the last!) visit and I felt in love with the atmosphere and elegance of it. Delicious food, cosy atmosphere and friendly staff, all what I saw and caught my attention. I talked to Jose (the manager) who made the team work highlighted and we had a fantastic chat outside of the restaurant on his break. If a manager of a place is friendly and professional like Jose it's a guarantee of having a fantastic dinner at the place! Thank you to all members of the staff and the manager, you all tirned our dinner date with my GF into an unforgettable night!

This is a scam. We were given a Virgin experience day voucher as a gift which included this restaurant for a meal worth £175, down to £65 which sounded great and a drink thrown in. This meal was awful. The started of three slices of beetroot, three walnuts and the tiniest piece of goats cheese I’ve even seen delivered on a plate of food for consumption. The plate had clearly been preprepared as it clearly had been sitting for hours. The fish cake was incredibly basic and my partner had rump steak. At £175 per person you’d think they’d offer fillet or at least sirloin. The desert was a tiny pot of lemon posseg again hardly a luxury meal. The servers were attentive after we had sat for 25 minutes to place our order. I would never go back here again as the meal value was way way less than what was put in front of us and no where near worth £65 never mind the £175 they advertise.

Great busy restaurant which adds to the atmosphere. Little disappointed with some of the courses, such as the goats cheese salad with a minuscule piece of goats cheese hardly worth inhaling. The ribeye steak as expected was the showstopper and was cooked to perfection. The fillet medallions were slightly undercooked but would rather this than overcooked. If looking for a steakhouse in London would recommend this restaurant.

I was a bit sceptical about going to the London Steakhouse Company after reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The food was great, we had a 5 course meal voucher and a cocktail - we thought it was exceptionally good value for money. You cannot get an average pub meal with drinks for £50 these days, so a meal for 2 with 5 courses and a cocktail is fabulous. There are additional costs, but what do you expect when you order a nice glass of champagne and a fillet steak. The restaurant needs to make money somehow. The ambience was lovely and the staff were great! The only thing I would say is £12 was quite steep for a large portion of chips. I would give this place 4.5/5 and I am an experienced restaurant goer.

My partner and I went for a 5 course meal here, a special offer of £55 for 2 people. This also included a cocktail - out of a choice of 3. The cocktail was fine but the first two 'courses' weren't!! Two bread plates each were produced, one with a blini on which sat a postage stamp size piece of smoked salmon - literally one mouthful - and on the other, four very thin slices of tasteless beetroot with a sugar cube size of goats cheese and a walnut. These were not courses, they were barely a taster. Next course was a slight improvement, a small pot of lovely mackerel and watercress pate with a piece of toast. The fourth was a piece of steak, just that, nothing with it. My partner had a small amount of a very nice beef bourguignon plus a couple of spoonfuls of mashed potato. Finally a wonderful lemon posset or a choice of two sorbet flavours. I realise this is London and I can imagine the overheads are horrendous when running a restaurant but seriously! How much does it cost to make the meal just slightly more substantial? Just a bit more generous with the two starters for example, garnish at the very least and a piece of smoked salmon that was large enough to taste (I only have their word that it was smoked salmon, there wasn't enough to get a even a slight taste) . I completely understand that it's hard at the moment with costs increasing all the time but we won't be back, whereas had it felt like a good value offer we would have returned again and again.

We came here yesterday for a 5 course meal which was gifted to us. We absolutely loved it, each course was beautifully presented and so so yummy! It wasn't a rushed experience at all and all staff were so friendly and explained how it worked to us. Food was absolutely wonderful as always, fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. Atmosphere was nice, busy but didn't feel cramped. Only thing I would say was our voucher came with a free cocktail but I don't drink alcohol so got a soft drink instead which they did charge me for... Thought it should been included as the soft drink was only £3 rather than a cocktail which is close to £20 but I wasn't worried about a few pounds. Overall love it here and will definitely be back!

Miserable experience. A friend kindly paid £59 for a two course and cocktail for two gift experience at the "Marco Pierre White" restaurant. We ordered none of the dishes which required a supplement, yet still paid £40 on top of what our friend paid. The £40 was for water, bread (for the soup) and two very unspecial sides (because, apparently, the two course meal comes with nothing else!) - plus some not-great service. At no point were we told just how expensive all of these, often free, extra items were going to be. Bit fed up of places marketing themselves as high end and charging the customer high end prices.... but not delivering high end food or service. Just greedy. Won't be going back.

I was given a voucher for a five-course meal with a cocktail for my birthday. We went on Sunday, expecting the restaurant to be nearly empty on Sunday evening in the City - boy, were we wrong! The place was packed. There was no choice for the first two courses , so my partner has my beetroot as I just don't like it. The third course was delicious - I had mackerel and watercress pate, and my partner had the ham hockey terrine. I could easily have swapped mine for his! For the main, I had rump steak, after all, it is the Steakhouse, and my partner had the fishcake with spinach and a poached egg. He was delighted with his choice however my steak bled a lot of the plate - meaning it had not been rested enough, which was disappointing. Chips and vegetables were chargeable which wasn't an issue, however the size of the chips for two was quite daunting! For dessert I had the lemon posset which was fabulous and my partner had the brandy snaps. The service was excellent but as the staff don't wear na.w badges it's difficult to praise anyo e individually. Overall I would say it was definitely a good present!

The negative reviews on this seem unfair, we had a virgin experience voucher for 5 courses and a cocktail and there were no negatives to speak of. We were seated at our table at exactly the time of our reservation, and immediately we were offered our drinks and had the menu explained to us, with explicit emphasis on any surcharges or extras not included in our package. The cocktails were fantastic and even at the table a food preference was accomdated and changed with a few minutes notice. Our server George was absolutely fantastic and attentive and every course was excellent as well. We paid for extras such as wine which were not crazy expensive and high quality with no complaints. The only complaint is that there's a £20 non refundable reservation charge which is nowhere to be seen on the bill, and if you are on a virgin deal and you want to change steaks, be ready for £30 per person extra. Overall fantastic and George was great. With the experience it's great just don't expect it to be free!

Not a serial negative reviewer but this was a disappointing experience. As others, we came as a result of being bought an experience voucher, so was expecting a limited menu with supplementary items as the menu was sent in advance. A lukewarm welcome was followed by the promise of a waiter coming to explain the menu. This didn’t happen - I believe we had the manager serving us (later enquired that his name was Grant; didn’t introduce himself) and he was awful. Probably the worst service we have had in a London restaurant at this price point. Have to say the other service staff of surrounding tables and the commis were very good. Never before have I asked for the service charge to be removed, but here we did. The food was ok. We had starters and dessert off the set menu which were fine. We paid a supplementary £50 for a chateaubriand to share which was tiny (definitely not 16oz) and the sides were also extortionate at £8.50 each. Supplementary food was also average - the creamed spinach was tasteless and the chips were… chips. For £8.50. Overall - if you are paying, go somewhere else. If you get bought a voucher, eat off the set menu and have appropriate expectations. Wouldn’t recommend.

We had the chateaubriand which was nice but still very slightly undercooked. The smoked salmon pancakes, beetroot and goats' cheese salad and creamed spinach were also acceptable. However the olives, potato croquettes and sourdough bread all look like they'd been purchased and prepared with little care. The maitre d' did remove this 3 items from the bill for us and all the staff were very friendly but, in terms of value for money, this restaurant is nowhere near up to the standard that you would expect from the price. Marco Pierre White should be ashamed of himself.

We had the 3 course meal package with the view from the Shard included. The staff were attentive but the food was average. The prawn cocktail had about 4 small prawns dangling off the side with a bit of chopped up lettuce and Marie Rose sauce with 3 tiny chunks of avocado inside. Not memorable at all. The mackerel pate had been food processed with a green herb so came out like a green paste and my girlfriend said it did not taste particularly good. The steak that was included was rump and was OK but again nothing special. Had we gone for a nicer cut or larger size it would have cost a lot more. The dessert was sticky toffee pudding and was ok but did not stand out. Considering the meal was ‘included’ practically every dish had a supplement on it. Who eats a chunk of steak on its own with nothing else? The chips were extra, the spinach was extra (£8.50) for a bit of food processed spinach! The mushrooms were tepid and cost extra. No grilled vine tomato’s included or anything and the sauce just about wet the steak and was average. Certainly not worth the money and wouldn’t return as have had much better local pub grub at half the price. The maitre D was welcoming although he did look me up and down on arrival! Sir, you have a messy mullet on your head and are in no place to look your customers up and down! Food standard did not match the cost but could not fault the staff.

Came with voucher for set 3 course meal, disappointing to find that a lot of the dishes come with a supplement. Food was nothing to write home about and side dishes very expensive, mushrooms lukewarm, chips which we paid £12 for were small ends of potatoes mainly. You would have thought ordering a main meal you would get a potato dish and veg but no had to pay extra for that. We also had to pay a cover charge and a £20 supplement to eat on a Friday, and then service charge on top. Our children bought us a voucher for a visit to the Shard with dinner for four. The cost of the voucher was £65 each. The dinner was (we thought) covered by the voucher , but with the extras ended up costing us a lot of money on top. My husband and son had the 7oz steak which came with a choice of sauce but if you wanted anything else to go with it, it was all at an extra cost of £8.50 per small dish. My son had a bowl of just salad leaves with a dressing , mash potato and a portobello mushroom at a total extra cost of £25.50,. My husband also ordered the steak with a side of fries and red cabbage at an extra £17.00. With the total cost of other extras for myself and my daughter it made the experience very expensive on top of the cost of the vouchers . Most people would order the extras as you wouldn’t just eat a steak on its own!! Would we go again, probably not, it was very overpriced!

I was given a Virgin Experience voucher for the £69 set menu here. The food was delicious but there are a lot of hidden charges they don't tell you about. We were asked if we wanted water, we were not told it was £6•50 a bottle. We were informed that anything extra to be paid had supplement next to it. The waiter encouraged us to have sides with our meal, however, he did not inform us that this was an extra cost. You really have no choice but to have extras either as a lump of steak on its own is not very appetising so you would order chips. Ordering onion rings, and red cabbage for me, wouldn't have happened if we knew it was extra as well. I knew the coffee liqueur had to be paid for as the tasting menu was just for the food and a cocktail. But... getting a bill for £78 left quite a nasty taste in the mouth and spoilt what had been, so far, a lovely experience. If you had only clarified what was included and what was not we wouldn't have had such a shock. It is something maybe you should think about, being just a little bit more honest with your customers. We dined on a voucher, given as a gift. The food was well presented, with good flavours - mackerel pate/ham hock terrine, fish/tornedos, treacle tart/cheese plate. But price versus portion is poor, even despite their 'vibe' being haute cuisine. Service was good, but too fast for us. Atmosphere is good, although we had to use phone torch to see menu, which seemed to unsettle the manager. There is a 'booking fee' for the table, plus cover charge, plus service charge and then supplements. We definitely felt like voucher scum and unfortunately rather than drawing us back or recommending to others, we would do the opposite, so an opportunity missed, if that is the plan with allowing vouchers.

Although the food was good (not exceptional), it is all significantly overpriced. £8.50 for a side is ridiculous, even for London prices! The portions are small, particularly the starters, and the dessert wasn't anything to scream about. Can't fault the service or the atmosphere, but unless you are willing to throw money away, I would avoid it.

We had a virgin experience voucher and was slightly nervous after reading some reviews but had no need to be! We could not fault the meal at all. The Staff were very . attentive. The menu had plenty of choice and the supplements were clearly stated We had 3 courses with a cocktail and we did not select anything with supplements so . all we were billed for was the service charge Food was lovely! Would come back

We went for the 5 course lunch menu from a Virgin voucher. Very good value for somewhere in central London however the food is a bit likes its off of a conveyour belt. 2 of the dishes were very average. The mackrel pate was very non mackrel and a bellini starter was tasteless. The steak was fantastic and the champagne offer was reasonable. Great postcode cocktail too. Overal it was good, not amazing!

Completely underwhelming experience. My £50 pound steak was average to say the least. To be honest I’ve had better steaks out of Lidl.

In addition to waiting 2 hours for the food to arrive, the drink also arrived with maximum delay, the simplest drinks that had to be taken only from the fridge (water, cola) came one after the other. The food also arrived completely undercooked, (the meat that was supposed to be smoked) and the meat not tasty enough

On February 12, 2025, I returned to The London Steakhouse & Co, hoping to replicate the wonderful experience I had a year ago when I celebrated my birthday there. Regrettably, this visit was a stark contrast and left me quite disappointed. I ordered the portobello mushroom dish, anticipating the same delightful experience from my previous visit. However, what I received were slices of common button mushrooms, not the hearty portobello I expected. When I raised this issue with the manager, Jeff, his patronizing response made me feel as though my concerns were trivial. I had hoped that my past positive experience would matter, but it seemed irrelevant to him. Additionally, we requested to replace one of the mushroom side dishes with fries, which never arrived. Despite this oversight, we were still charged for both sides, further adding to our dissatisfaction. The manager's rude demeanor not only made it uncomfortable for us to address these issues but also drew the attention of other diners, making us feel as though we were causing a scene. It was disheartening to leave the restaurant feeling like a bother rather than valued customers. Reflecting on my previous visit, I recall the staff being pleasant and attentive, which is why I chose to return. This time, however, my loyalty and past experience felt completely disregarded. Given the poor handling of our concerns by Manager Jeff, I cannot recommend The London Steakhouse & Co. It’s disappointing to see a place that once provided such a great experience fall short. I sincerely hope they reevaluate their customer service approach and recognize the importance of treating all patrons with respect.

Well…let’s start with the negatives. Service was definitely not up to the prices. Prices are exaggerated on everything. However one things you cannot complain is the food and its quality which was impressive and in the end of the day this is why you want to go out for a dinner to have some nice tasty food. Overall is a good place however staff need to be more proactive and friendly.

This celebrity restaurant is supposed to be upmarket but this is only the case in name and prices. It is situated off the main road close to Liverpool Street Station. The decor is modern with an array of newspaper portraits. Closer inspections reveal an unbalanced chandelier with an array of tired worn bar stools in the waiting area. The reception is full of young inexperienced and unknowledgeable staff. We arrived with a Virgin Experience 3 Course and Cocktail offer and had to wait for twenty minutes to be seated. We did receive an apology, but most of the guests were also waiting for tables. Once seated we were told that we could have a choice of cocktail, starter, main and choose a side order instead of dessert. The servers came quickly with the food between courses. The starter was ham terrine which was not well seasoned and quite plain in flavour. This was followed by a large rump steak, but again the seasoning was poor and it was not an excellent piece of meat for the price. The house fries that are £7.50 were also average. The peppercorn sauce was also underseasoned. The overall meal was underwhelming and a case of paying for the name rather than the quality. The only highlight was the Caribbean Rum Punch which was excellent in taste. We paid for two additional glasses of good red wine but then were charged for the side orders. We explained that we were told this was exchangeable with dessert which would have been more expensive, but the server said this was not correct. The server seemed offended and called for the manager. The manager came after another server said we were incorrect and dismissed what we were told at the beginning stating that we were misinformed and that there were no substitutes allowed. To avoid a scene we paid and left. This was a terrible experience and is becoming typical of the poor standards, prices and offers from many Central London restaurants. It is no surprise tourists and people of London are frequenting restaurants less if this is the experience on offer. We would prefer to dine locally from now on. I cannot recommend this restaurant and suggest it is avoided for poor food, bad customer service and high prices living off the name of a celebrity chef.

Awful experience (as with any business where discretion is non existent and policy is never questioned). My wife woke up sick this morning and in trying to cancel we were offered 3 options. Lose the booking (an expensive Christmas gift from our children), honour the booking made and so risk infecting their 'not so valued' customers today or pay an additional £30 simply to move the booking to another date. Given this was a gift we reluctantly have opted for the 3rd. However, I feel it is important to point out to potential customers how London Steakhouse view their customer base (purchasers of vouchers, today's diners and us) before selecting a place to dine.

In a nutshell, this place is overpriced for what you get. Small portions and £8.50 for all sides (how can a side of salad and chips be the same price?). The atmosphere was pleasant and staff were mostly attentive however you can get better quality steak for better prices elsewhere.

We got this as part of a virgin experience. The London steakhouse is very expensive for what it does. We had ribeye steaks, both were cooked nicely, both medium rare, good colour on the outside, great. The starter was prawn, chilli and garlic bruchetta, it was bland, the prawns were under seasoned and we could not taste any garlic or chilli. The steaks tasted nice, but the mushrooms and onion ringsx4 both costing £8.50 were small and tasteless, The cocktails were uninspired and pretty weak tasting. Dessert was okay but again the sticky toffee pudding was sweaty and delicious but had no real flavour, no taste of dates or toffee, just sweat. Overall a very expensive average meal

I went int he evening, the light is very low you could not see properly. We went because of a virgin voucher offer for three course meal, at my surprised fish I wanted we had to add+£6, For dessert also chocolate we need to add +£6. Fish was just ok not the best. Also I hate the hidden charges like at the end again +£3 for table service charges, I am not talking about the other tip charges. Anyway I didn’t see many fish options or other good in dessert. I will not go next time .

Enjoyed it. Had a virgin experience day for a cocktail and 5 course meal. Food was decent tho the first 2 starters were pretty small. Notable choices were beef bourguinon and mackerel terrine. I left feeling very satisfied and full. For some reason I ended up at double tree Hilton Marco Pierre white which was 20 mins away in angel. I wasn't the only one, someone behind me made the same mistake so beware. The vibes of the restaurant were really nice and it was a central location in the city. Very close to some nice quiet bars and places like duck and waffle. Good value for money especially if you don't go for any of the supplements. There was a minor cover charge and 9.5% service charge. We didn't go for any of the sides or supplements which helped. I don't drink alcohol as well which also really helps. They did a delicious mocktail for me which I recommend. My friend did get a few drinks which seemed pricey.

Had a fabulous time for a friend's birthday celebration. I brought a cake I made to surprise my friend and the waiter serving us was soo incredibly sweet and welcoming. He was an absolute gem and even complimented the cake I made, bless him. We all loved his service so much that we tipped him, big thank you to you for being so precious. Steaks were lovely, no complaints, I chose medium rare and a prawn cocktail for starters. A light apple crumble to finish off was the perfect ending. The drinks were really pretty too. Thank you guys so much 💗

The food was decent but for the cost to deliciousness ratio it easily loses out to London's other steak options. The staff were friendly, and the actual decor did stand out though. This is review is based on the rump steak.

Just some hidden things for those considering buying the experience via Virgin Experience Days - it states flexible cancellation which is NOT - if you are out of 48 hour window (fair-this is mentioned in their instructions) you are stuck with either loosing your experience or £15 non-refundable charge per person to move it! This is a fraud. If you are going through Virgin Experience Days bare in mind the booking times are very limited - you will not be able to book between 4.15pm-9pm (obviously reserved for those paying more money). Reason for this review - completely ruined birthday celebration which was out of our hands due to cancelled flight. I chose not to be ripped off and lost money as oppose to paying £60 for what? moving the date! There must be a human factor somewhere, no?

Had a lovely lunch here with my best friend. We got a virgin experience day and the menu was brilliant. There’s was a wide range on the set menu and extra options at a small cost if you wanted another dish. We had the steak and there was a great variety of side dishes also. Was a good deal in all. We went off the set menu and ordered extra, but the voucher deal was still good for £55 ! We went over that but still worth it! I also really liked the artwork there!

Very disappointing final meal in London! Our family was leaving London the next day so we thought a “farewell” meal on the canal would be a great ending to a great holiday. However, our reservation of six (6) was seated next to a loud & lively party of eleven (11). While the restaurant was busy, they could have easily secured us a table a bit farther away from this group. They were very loud with no situational awareness, as multiple people in their party would push past us to speak to others in their group, including having their rear ends in our table! Moving on, our server was incredibly disinterested in us. It took the server 10-15 minutes simply to acknowledge us. He didn’t ask if we wanted anything to drink. He simply asked what we wanted to eat. The only good part of this experience was the food. Everyone enjoyed their meals but we were quick to leave the restaurant after finishing, opting to go elsewhere for dessert and coffee/tea.
