I do like sushi from there and some other stuff, however since they put screens up, you can't just browse for foods. People who are there force you to the screen to see the menu. I am a person who likes to see things before buying and to make the decision. So many times I was standing by the food thinking what to have or was looking at the baozi, staff was kindly forcing yo the tills as if I trouble them by standing and thinking. Prefer Wasabi in this respect, you can shop without being forced the help from the staff. Hence the service is one star, same for the atmosphere.

Handy location to Liverpool Street station. We went for Saturday lunch, so virtually empty, as not during working hours. It therefore lacked a bit of atmosphere, but at least gave us the opportunity to talk. Great, friendly service, but we were one of only two couples in the place (other than a lady being filmed for a dating programme), so would be interesting to see if the service is still as great when busy. We had the vegetarian sharing platter and sausage rolls, which were nice, although a bit too much greasy/fried food. Overall, a good experience.

It was very disappointing 1) No sparkling water (could one of the staff have nipped to Tesco to buy some??)2) Steak (meant to be well-done) was cremated (REORDERED and cremated again)3) A medium steak was ordered and arrived well-done.4) Salmon, which was meant to be char-grilled had no hint of char-grill flavour and was in fact so dry that it wasn't enjoyable to eat - accompanied by over-cooked new potatoes. 5) 4 people ordered brownies - only 3 available! The food overall was very disappointing. We won't be returning again.

I went to this restaurant for a team lunch, a party of 14 people. Once my manager made the reservation we were sent a menu to choose food from to 'save time'. On the say of our reservation we were asked to choose from another menu as they have 'changed' the menu. Some of my colleagues were disappointed as they couldn't have what they actually wanted. Nevertheless, we all chose from the new menu. Choosing the drinks- they RAN OUT of sparkling water. They also RAN OUT of beef strips, which was on the new menu so my colleague had to order something else. fine.I had coconut shrimp for my starter which was tasteless! spicy pineapple salad that came with it was good. For my mains, I chose the ribeye steak (WELL DONE) with mashed potato instead of the regular chips. I got a burnt steak instead. I gave it back and 20 minutes later, after everyone had finished their lunch, another burnt steak on my plate. This time it was even worse- it was so hard it hurt my throat to swallow it. Needless to say I didn't finish it and had as good as to no lunch. The mashed potato was disgusting, it didn't taste fresh. All my colleagues were disappointed with their food as well. Then to the dessert. Some ordered brownies, some cheesecakes etc. Well guess what, they only had 3 brownies and 4 of us ordered it. They RAN OUT of brownies. How can a restaurant with JAMIE OLIVER's name on it get everything wrong! Overall a very bad experience and none of us will ever be going back. Everyone involved with this restaurant should be ashamed.

I tend to judge the cleanliness of a place by its toilets. The 'facilities' reflect on both the patrons and staff. As you will see from my pictures they're pretty grimm at 7pm on a Tuesday - they didn't get better (or cleaned) as the night went on. I wouldn't dream of having a meal or bringing clients here - but it's 'ok' for a quick over priced beer after work.

We stopped here for drinks before dining out Thursday, we decided to have our drinks outside. The prices were ridiculous, I know it is London with a captive audience, but if one of the waitresses wandering around outside gets you drinks they add 12.5% t the cost. Plus the you don't get a full pint !!We sent drinks back twice to have the glasses topped up properly. Definitely not worth the extra pricing for what you get, go to the bar and get your own drinks...

It's clean, atmospheric and noisy from to many "Hooray Henry's". Certainly not a place to take one's family nor is it a place to relax over an enjoyable meal. Service is good, staff are attentive and the fish and chips well presented; superb batter, thin and crispy but not so sure about the quality of the fish, seemed to be a bit stale, but overall, it was ok and my rule of thumb is, could I taste it an hour later and I could not, which for me suggests it wasn't greasy. Would I return, yes I would, there's just something demanding about the place that's pretty enjoyable.

I had a staff lunch in there today. The restaurant has such character, so was hoping for the food to match. No! First off the service was very poor! We waited 20 minutes for our drinks, even then they got them wrong. I ordered the pie and mash...I was not impressed with what came out of the kitchen and on to my table. The pastry was cooked to death and turn to dust as soon as you touched it. The gravy in the pie was from a packet with a dash of wine and vinegar added for flavour. The meat was tender though, the veg was unseasoned and the mash tasted as if it had been reheated in the microwave. Then there was the toilets....mouldy mastic around the sinks is never good! And some of the steps on one of the spiral staircases were lose. This restaurant could be an absolute winner with the right people behind it

Had a business lunch here, place is nice enough, but nothing really to distinguish it. Service was slightly funky, as in raised eyebrows when we asked for cutlery with our burgers and chips (oh how we laughed), and slight lack of attention when we failed to order quickly enough, probably works if you're 18 and slightly in awe of waiters, but a bit grating for two middle aged businessmen. Some food wasn't available, waiter did offer some other choices, but is Cous-cous such a rarity that you can't pop down the supermarket and buy a packet if you think you are running out?Food itself was OK, thick and juicy burgers and chips, but lack much in the way of flavour, and the condiments tasted washed out.All in all not a great experience.

Good place to pop into for a quick pint or two whilst waiting for a train. Better than some of the other offerings at Liverpool Street station. Service is quick and attentive, it's normally very busy inside but there's a nice outside area which is usually quieter. Absolutely terrible from beginning to end. Arrived and were completely ignored by staff. I had to go up to the bar and lean over to get someone's attention. The room itself was dingy, dirty and dark with dead flowers on the bar. The table was dirty and sticky and when someone finally came to take our order they didn't wipe it. We were given one menu between the four of us and were greeted in a very unwelcoming manner as though they would rather we were not there. After making our orders the waitress returned to say they only had one portion of Halloumi and couldn't do two - there were no other vegetarian options so we had to leave. Probably the best decision! I also had huge problems trying to use my Gourmet Society discount card here despite them saying on their website that they accept it. We ate on a Thursday lunchtime. Even though the sun was shining we were able to sit outside. This is the main selling point for me as there are so few places in the City where you can do this. The menu is fairly simple but our salads were tasty.Service was good. Prices in line with City expectations but not excessive. Great to enjoy the fresh air and sun (well as much as city air can be fresh).

I have eaten here before and returned to enjoy another very good Italian dinner. Upstairs eating is quieter but that is not to say downstairs with a little more noise is not enjoyable either. The service is consistently good and the food good quality and good size portions. The wine list is pretty good.

I have visited Jamies on Thursday last week with a group of friends for after work drinks. All I can say about the experience that it was amazing. We had sat outside and did not have to go to order drinks once. Table service was excellent. To our surprise Jamies had a DJ on and once the weather got colder we moved inside and the atmosphere was brilliant. I will definitely be going back.

Lovely lunchtime drinks and food. Always great staff and atmosphere. The Pinot noir is amazing. Work around the corner so visit too much!

Had an hour to spare before I boarded my train at Liverpool St station - wanted a simple Ceasar Salad and glass of cold Savignon Blanc - this was the place - posh yet not over stated - not expensive but great service.

I don't understand the previous reviews. We went for a business lunch, totally unplanned. The service was a bit slow - well more relaxed! The food was really good and I had a great (large) glass of white wine. The price was fairly reasonable and the staff were friendly without being overpowering. I would certainly go back should the opportunity arise.

I have just returned from London after what should have been a nice memorable meal with my colleagues. Instead, I have just got home to Staffordshire furious that I have just dined in such an awful restaurant! Jamie and the management team should be ashamed. For context... Our table was booked for 2:15pm on 29 November - a Thursday afternoon! We ordered their 3 course set festive lunch which set us back £30 a head with a "free" glass of prosecco each for booking early. The booking process itself was quite seamless, our food choices were e-mailed in and they even seemed quite accommodating with a lactose intolerance order. The actual dining experience was as far removed from the service we'd received at the booking stage... It literally felt like we'd been lured in....On arrival, we were promptly shown to our table and prosecco was brought over... The table was made up of two 4 seater rectangular tables with a 2 seater square table sandwiched in the middle... This might seem like a small matter but the joining of the tables were uneven Which meant the persons sitting either side of that join we're eating their dinner off a seesaw plate! Why do restaurants not check these little things, it's just common sense! The fact that one of our party nearly had a glass of prosecco poured over him because the waitress placed the glass on the uneven join should have been enough for them to realise this was not good!I will give them credit for the swift service of the starters, but worth mentioning that we'd yet been asked about any drinks! On finishing our starters, we asked about ordering some drinks, the waitress (who I can only describe as rude, unhelpful and quite frankly not doing her job) snapped at up and said "I'm clearing your plates, I'll do it after" she cleared our plates but didn't return.Moving onto the main - still drink less at this point apart from the one glass of free prosecco... A few of our group had ordered steak... Despite the pre-order, no one asked how individuals wanted their steak cooking... Instead, they all came out medium! We asked again to order some drinks and finally, a different waitress appeared to take our order...The drinks arrived after most people had finished their mains... And to add salt to the wounds, they decided to bring out one plate of chips and a plate a roast potatoes! How ridiculous! I mean, if you're going to be pretentious and bring out the veg and potatoes/chips separately, at least bring them out at the same time as the mains! Furthermore, when the drinks arrived, we asked where the water was (which we'd ordered with the wine and other drinks) and to my absolute astonishment, the waitress snapped at us with the response of "did you order it?" "it's not come through on the order!" Forgive me here... Surely I cannot be the only individual who thinks the correct appropriate response SHOULD have been "I'll just fetch it - sorry". Aside from the fact we had actually ordered it, we'd asked for a couple of jugs of iced tap water for the table, was it that unusual for someone to order water? Despite being a table of 10... they bought one jug! Apart from the service... I can't really say the quality of food was all that better. The taste was mediocre and lacked the va va voom, that Jamie usually exhumes... It lacked juiciness.I'll give the restaurant some credit for the starter... I had the smoked salmon served with a salad and pickled chunks of beetroot. The salmon was more like sashimi which was great in my opinion as I love sashimi - thick slices of salmon! Little did I know this was the best part of the meal...I had the steak for main with some boiled potatoes, carrots and parsnips - plain would be an overstatement of what I actually had. The steak was cooked how I liked - medium - I was just lucky as they didn't ask, but it was tasteless. The desert of Christmas pudding was far too sticky and dry... It looked like it had been over steamed and compressed that it was like eating a block of treacle fudge. As for catering for specific dietary requirements, the pre-booking customer service was fabulous, though I doubt very much whether the kitchen or the waiting staff understood what the special order was for, and only realised there were specific plates for the individual, when that individual asked. Thankfully, their requirement it just an intolerance but anyone with severe allergies I would struggle to be confident with this restaurant and it's staff.Maybe they should just stick to what it says above the door... Wine bar! Dispense with serving food and just do drinks. I strongly recommend anyone with any sense to steer well clear.Overall, severely disappointed. I've dined at Jamie's Italian in Birmingham and that was fabulous, but this one... Poor, poor, poor!

The only good thing about the place is the location.A group of us turned up late on a weeknight after visiting a friend in hospital, looking to have one drink before going our separate ways. The bar staff continued to chat and joke amongst themselves despite 5 of us waiting at the bar and they were really arrogant when they eventually served us. My friend ordered me a glass of wine while i went to find a table - they gave him the wrong one, but refused to replace it when I brought it back. We'd all had a horrendous day, and this just topped it off.All of us are City workers but were in relatively casual wear following our hospital trip. It definitely felt like the bar staff treated us differently to the people dressed in work wear.I certainly will not be going back to that branch again, and I wont be recommending it to any of my friends who work nr Bishopsgate - many of whom who are looking to organise big corporate events in the future. What a shame.

Dined here for a team lunch with an outside table. General experience was fine - although road is v v v noisy so bit like dining on a motorway. The service was a bit patchy (mistakes / quite slow) but food for all 8 of us was ok. Not as bad as previous reviews but not the greatest...
