What a great trendy bar I was invited to celebrate my colleagues birthday 🎂🎆 the staff were looking after us from the start till the end. The food platters were so delicious! We had a fantastic time. Great music playing at this place. Definitely will be back again.

Came there in August with my dad. We had a good table and the best food from the best chefs ! Mg father was impressed 😁 He said when he will be back to London, need to visit again!

Came with my partner for drinks and we got a great table with really comfortable chairs. Our waitress was very friendly and polite, we were offered different types of wine, definitely the waitress knew a lot about wine ! Also we had few starters and then steaks for main course. Food was really tasty, no complaints. Coming back for sure!

I went to Gingers bottomless drag brunch show a few weeks ago. All the acts were incredible! It was fun and really inclusive. Definitely worth the visit - but only for the show. I don’t recommend the restaurant at all. I had a bad experience with the restaurant’s waiter who was really unprofessional. When I arrived at our table I sat down on an unstable and wobbly chair. I moved it to the side so that no one else would sit on it and hurt themselves if it broke. Shortly after, the waiter stormed over and scolded me and my friend (who did nothing wrong) for moving the chair because he ‘looked stupid and was confused’ because he didn’t know that I moved the chair. When I explained why I moved it he angrily challenged me stating that it looked fine. I invited him to sit on it. He did. He then removed the broken chair by storming off with it. He came back to scold me again. He moaned at me that I should have told him - how would I know he personally set out the chairs as a customer? Me telling him that he needed to calm down angered him even more. When my friend intervened to try calm him down, he was rude to her too and he stormed off again. Personally, throwing a temper tantrum, overreacting and making a scene in front of everyone, scolding me and then ignoring our side of the table with other guests who weren’t involved for the rest of the event is just plain unprofessional and childish - all for moving an unstable chair. If he was so confused, he could have just walked over and seen the chair placed to the side.

Important to say that the drag show was fabulous. Unfortunately, that doesn't take away from the shocking behaviour of one of the waiters. Probably the most childish, unprofessional and disrespectful interactions I've ever had. Upon shifting an unstable chair to the side, we were berated like children. Incomprehensible ramblings and snarky remarks while stomping around the table grabbing cutlery and the chair. Eventually when I tried to discuss it with him, he rolled his eyes and said "ugh, I'm not even listening to you" and huffed off. If it wasn't so absurd it would be comical really.

Do not book this place for football. We were put in front of a pillar and a bunch of people to watch the screens. When we complained that we paid £60 to reserve we were told to complain to designmynight where we booked.. management did not take responsibility, unbelievable! Alberto was a great waiter and tried to make the best out of the situation which was all we could ask given the sitch. Much appreciated Alberto, you are a role model to your colleagues

Booked their darts room for a company event. Food was good and service was great

The venue is very nice, but I think because of the number of guests at our event, the food fell slightly short considering how much we paid for it. It was still quite good though.

never been here whilst it's been balls brothers but i built and installed the air-conditioning in this place, i remember when it was just a building site. i built the air con in all rooms including downstairs etc..someday i will come and revisit and admire what we did.

We had a Christmas dinner at this place with a big group of people. The food is some of the worst food I have ever had. Salmon with dry bread as a starter. Dry turkey with overcooked potato’s that was so hard we could not chew them. The vegetables were undercooked and hard. The dessert was just horrible…it’s been a long time since I’ve had such a bad food experience at a restaurant🥴

Charity lunch very good. Service was excellent.

Always a fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff and nice food. It's a great bar tucked away in Austin Friars.

The dancers are very talented and put up a beautiful show. Food was below average, especially the vegetarian option. I had a falafel burger which was incredibly dry and tasteless. Giving it three stars for the amazing performers.

Esther was the best! She made our experience all the more better!

Good selection of lagers and IPAs. This is a large pub with an extensive outdoor area so even if crowded there is always space to have a good time with friends.

Really excellent place, both for lunch and for a drink after work. Great location and lovely atmosphere.

It wasn't that busy but the staff weren't that interested? Perhaps too hot for them? We seated ourselves after a few minutes waiting, got menus for ourselves after 5 mins or so and ordered our drinks direct from the bar after another 5 mins or so waiting for table service. Eventually flagged down a server who took our order and then 19 mins later came back to say that a menu item 2 of us had ordered wasn't available. Food was ok.

Drag Show was probably the beat i have seen but the service was overall just rude. Basically kicked us out when we still had 10 minutes left. Had to ask for more champagne several times (it was bottomless) and i have experienced others. When it come to cut my birthday cake, they told me “you only have 20 minutes, do it in another place”. They should feel embarrassed of the food they served. Will never go back, and only writing this so that people know what they are going for. It was a very poor experience.

A casually busy pub and with the added bonus of having a dedicated darts area downstairs (although I believe this is a bookable event area). Tucked away, its always got plenty of room but still feels busy.

Good venue, close to my office.. Only criticism is service was slow...maybe due to a couple of private functions on at lunchtime. Good sausage sandwich 🥪 😋

Food was below average attended as part of a drag event, the drag artists were great and amazingly entertaining we had rubbish seating and should've been charged less however they were insistent we didn't have restricted view although all of us had to stand up to view the acts.

Truly dreadful. Went there for a hen do, for a bottomless brunch. Ginger and her crew were fantastic but £300 spent extra on a round of cocktails which didn't arrive and we were asked to leave as next session was being set up for. Manager walked away and wouldn't deal with complaint, offer any explanation or try to diffuse the situation. Esther, one of the servers was the only decent one there who tried to help as much as she could. Totally spoiled what had been a fantastic day. Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend, far better places in London.

A rather grand hidden delight - check out the basement for an intimate product launch or the mezzanine for a languid afternoon meeting. Or outside in clement weather.

Absolutely top notch place with tasty balls and yummy sauce. 10/10 would come again the staff were hot the food was hot i was hot tables were taller than they should have been so I was upset and made me sand and that no good I ashamed

Love it! It's such a nice place. It's split on 3 floors, where the bottom floor has darts and the top floor has plenty of sitting area. The middle floor has the most space and the bars. I had a company event organised there, and we had, canapés, drinks, and a DJ. The night was great, very well organised from the staff of Balls Brothers Austin Friars. Recommend!

Went for the bottomless drag processeco brunch. I can't recommend this enough. Staff were amazing food was good and the entertainment was amazing never laughed and cheered so much. Great show to be seen.

We attended a drag brunch today. We could not see or hear anything at all. The food was absolutely terrible. For the price we paid we are so disappointed. Would not recommend!

We went for a drag brunch yesterday, and I have to say although the show was fine and the performers were great, for what we paid the food was absolutely awful! I was gob smacked that we were served frozen chicken goujons on a stale dry waffle and the most awful brownie I've ever had. The food really let the whole thing down.

This was my first drag show and I absolutely loved it! We booked this for my friends hen do, and the queens were absolutely fantastic! The only let down was the seating arrangements. We were so packed in to the tables we could hardly move as we were squished in with other groups, and it was very hot in there. The food was ok

Absolutely love the bar and the staff always come to this as my local. In this heat with no ac I feel bad for the staff, impossible to sit inside.

Staff were great! Top experience. However, they need AC inside as it was far too hot so we had to sit outdoors.

We booked with ‘restricted view’ which was the whole balcony are for about 50 people. Couldn’t see anything of the show, not a single thing with no music. The drag queens came up about twice for 10 seconds and that was it. The food was not good and took ages to come to the top, service they threw all the plates down. Wasn’t worth the money!

Had to wait to see drinks menu and there wasn't enough chairs for my team to sit down together. We had to ask another table for a chair. Drinks were okay

Went for Ginger's Big Drag Brunch and had an absolute blast! The booze was flowing, the entertainment was top notch and the food went down nicely too (smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs with a chocolate brownie for afters 👌). There were some party games and the Queens came round to chat to everyone. We shared a table with 5 others and got on really well, we all ended up going for drinks after! Would definitely recommend.

I organised a drag brunch for a friends birthday, and they did not disappoint. The performances were amazing and so friendly. Our drinks really were bottomless, our glasses got constantly topped up. Thank you for making my friends birthday so special. We definitely will come back!

We had a great time at Balls Bros! We were on a bit of a crawl so didn't stay more than a few hours but it was super lovely, yet had a speedy service and friendly staff. Would love to come back a try the food sometime :)

I came to Gingers brunch on Saturday, the show was amazing, all the performers were fantastic, me and my group really enjoyed ourselves. However the venue was a real let down. It was freezing cold, all the staff were wearing coats and jackets and in the end I had to put mine on to. I did request to one of the staff as to why it was so cold and I was told the heating wasn’t working. Disappointing

The brunch was fun, the staff great as always, I often come here after work for a drink before heading home .. that said, it was very cold today there, inside the restaurant, makes it hard to sit still and enjoy your food. I mean, lots of people were sat still with their coats on, eating and drinking etc … I asked a member of the staff if they could turn up the heat and they said it was broken … hope it’s not like this next time I visit …

Worst gin and tonic I have ever had. No choice of mixers and fruit all mixed in despite what gin is used.

Went to a bottomless prosecco drag brunch here, absolutely amazing experience, such a great afternoon out! Would highly recommend for a girls night out. Great music and can't go wrong with prosecco!

Attended a bottomless brunch here, the service and alcohol servings were generous, but the food has to rank as one of the worst meals I’ve ever had in London. The burger bun was cold and still thawing from the freezer it had been in. The chocolate brownie was inedible. Frankly, I don’t know how you can even make a chocolate brownie inedible. Scanning the room, most people’s plates were unfinished. Hire kitchen staff who can actually cook food, and it’ll be ok.

Great staff, very friendly, attentive and helpful whilst not being pushy or intrusive. Tasty food and decent selection of drinks.

Would have given 5 stars purely for the drag but the food let it down. Ginger was gorgeous and the drag queens were super friendly and put on a SHOW! Amazing entertainment made up for the food. Was expecting the food to be better considering it was just a burger and the drinks were not bottomless. When I asked for more prosecco during desert, I was told I had my money's worth so that was it.

Great venue, great location. We booked the upstairs area for an engagement party and it was fabulous. The staff looked after us well, the food was superb and the area well laid out and prepared. Couldn't fault anything, a fab evening

It was fantastic! The floors were booked for special events. As a security guard I had a time of my life to serve the customers and ensure they were well-behaved. The staff served them well and added to the spectacle and there were many who spend their Saturdays there.

Had a great afternoon at the Drag Brunch with unlimited prosecco. The staff were not shy about topping up our glasses. The food was very tasty but it was a little odd having breakfast food at 3pm.

The staff and food was excellent... book your venues here you will not be disappointed.

Utterly Amazing & so much fun. This was a birthday treat from my best friend - we loved every minute. We felt welcomed & special from start to the end. Ginger & her crew were very entertaining & funny. Bottomless Prosecco sent us home feeling like we'd been out all night long.

After I ordered a gluten free labeled item, I asked the waiter to double check as it looked glutinous. He came back and confirmed it was GF. It wasn’t, they served the wrong food. Highly dangerous and ruined my stomach and day.

Probably the best wine bar in EC2. Wonderful food under the exceptional chef Rob and great staff: happy, positive and so helpful.

Service is a little brusque, perhaps because they add 12.5% service charge automatically to the bill. Choice of standard pub fare. Pleasant ambience.

Decent food and wine, fast friendly service

Terrible service! 45 mins for the food to arrive and still waiting, staff don't seem to be interested in hurrying up or even apologising.

The place is nicely decorated and not bad. However, the beef burger was overcooked as they would not do a medium cooked burger. To cook rare, medium, etc. the restaurant needs to check they can with the meat supplier. This place has 1) not checked so I would question the quality of the meat or 2) asked and been told no, which points to possible meat quality issues.

Nice cosy place for after work drinks. A little understaffed during busy periods!

Attractive bar/pub/restaurant with a downstairs private dining/function room with projection screen. The main restaurant is much nicer as it can echo quite badly downstairs and reception is poor. Food is good quality and service is quick.

Food was excellent as was the service once we were seated. Upon arrival there was some confusion regarding the booking as it was claimed that I had not booked a table. A copy of the email from Opentable soon resolved the matter and we were taken to a table. A good lunch, thanks.

Good location, but a bit too noisy place. They have a nice selection of wines, but quite overpriced. If you are looking for some more intimate and romantic place, this wouldn't be your best choice.

Service was poor, we reserved table for 10 but they did not prepare at all. Waited for 10min for table set up. And another 30min for food to be served. Did not enjoy our meal at all left over half. We wouldn’t recommend

Great pub, with a really nice atmosphere.

If you have all of eternity to wait for a pint and be ignored by bar staff this is the for you!!!!
