My friends and I decided to try out the mixology class at The Fable. We were hosted by a professional who created a really fun experience ! The cocktails were great and my favorite was definitely the Pornstar Martini :) I strongly recommend this class

Nice atmosphere, friendly service, food very very average at best. What was really annoying was the assumptive selling and charging for things we didn’t ask for, charity payment not mentioned and service charge. Would go for a drink but that’s about it.

I've organised our Christmas celbrations at The Fable for both last year (2023) and this year (2024). Last year we had a nice sit down 3 course meal whilst this year we opted for nibbles and drinks. Food is good and atmosphere is really upbeat. Staff are really friendly and accomodating. We all had a blast.

Giving one star as the menu we were given with the food had cocktails on it. This was taken away then we were told to order from the bar if we wanted more drinks. I then went to the bar to get a cocktail and was told they don't do them...I pointed out the other member of staff next to them shaking a silver cocktail shaker but the member of staff was adamant they don't do them. I then said 'but I saw them on the menu'. They then told me very flippantly to go get the menu then off the table to which I replied that they were taken back after we'd finished our food. She then just shrugged and went 'we don't do cocktails'. I then saw a man that looked like a manager. I asked him if he was and told him what happened to which he didnt seem bothered. I then asked if he could get me a cocktail he said yes and lol and behold produced a menu with cocktails on it. However he then said they didn't have all the ingredients for them but could do me a makeshift one. I said that was OK however whilst he was making it another member of staff came up to him and asked what he was doing and he said...' they want a cocktail' and raised an eyebrow like I'd asked for something outrageous!!! Like how dare a customer order a cocktail in a pub!!!! It's on your menu ffs! Anyway fancy your bar staff gaslighting your customers with regards to the drinks you serve. It was clear they just couldn't be bothered. A terrible place to go- don't bother... they don't do drinks even though they are a pub...the mind boggles!

We had a work dinner there this week and it was great! The food and the atmosphere were on point. But many thanks to our host Andres who made our night even more special with his lovely character and professionalism.

The team at The Fable were incredible in making our team Christmas lunch a success. I had lots of requests, last minute cancellations and hungry colleagues, which the Fable team accommodated. Despite many other parties going on they were attentive, polite and always with a smile to our group. I didn't expect much for the food as these Christmas menus are usually uninspiring but everyone really enjoyed it. Thank you so much!

Booking Disaster! Reservamos este lugar para una comida de trabajo de Navidad. No tenía nada en el correo electrónico para confirmar la reserva como prometimos. Apareció para comprobar que la reserva todavía estaba allí. Solo para que me digan que no hay nota de nuestra reserva, a pesar de que la chica tomó todos mis detalles cuando reservé en persona! Además dijeron que no sirven la cena del jueves! Así que en muy poco tiempo, tuve que encontrar un lugar para una comida de trabajo. Muy mal servicio y personal incompetente. NO recomendaría.

We are regulars and love Fable! It’s our go to place for our team lunch. Both blonde ladies that work there all the time, look after us very well. They are attentive , kind and always reccomend something yummy to eat! Highly reccomend for good food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Always looking forward to my next meal at The Fable 😍

Went on a Monday night because my boss was in town. Quiet so got really attentive staff.

We attended for Martin Kemps 80's brunch (but drinks ticket only) really good fun!!! Great atmosphere!!

I'd passed by this place so many times I just had to check it out. I was quite disappointed however as the space felt empty. They've got some cool decorations and the staff are lovely but something about it felt off. I don't think the plants were real... A fine spot for after-work drinks if you're close by but I am unlikely to return.

Celebramos una fiesta de cumpleaños para alrededor de 60 personas en el bar y restaurante de la planta superior y es un lugar perfecto los fines de semana, ya que hay un gran ambiente en la zona del bar, y la elección y calidad de la comida de fiesta muy buena. Tenía todo tipo de gustos y requisitos para atender y el menú cubría a todos mis invitados. El personal atento y el servicio genial. . . y la factura vino por debajo de mi estimación a pesar de una buena noche para todos!

Wonderful venue with amazing decor, and very friendly staff!

Fui aquí el 27 de julio para el set Martin Kemp 80. Desde el momento en que entramos por la puerta hasta el momento en que nos fuimos esta fue una experiencia increíblemente agradable. El personal en la puerta era tan acogedor y desde entonces el ambiente, la calidad de las bebidas y el personal eran impecables. El personal del bar estaba inundado y bajo tanta presión y lograron sonreír y relacionarse con cada cliente. Esta experiencia superó cualquier expectativa que tenía del evento. No llegamos a tener el brunch ya que estaba agotado y estábamos en la lista de espera, pero la próxima vez me aseguraré de tener el brunch - ya que voy a volver. No estoy seguro de si D&M capacita a todo su personal para que sea tan encantador como el personal de Fable o si emplea a cierto tipo de personas en todo su patrimonio, pero hay que encomiarlos por la experiencia que ofrecen en un mercado que constantemente ofrece resultados insuficientes.

Rented a space in the Fable for a work event. Service was amazing from 'Peppe' who ensured the event ran perfectly and drinks did not run out for guests. He also ensured no empty drinks were left out and communicated with the team very well.

Found by chance on our holiday. Saw Martin Kemp putting on a great 80s show. Great friendly staff and variety of food and drinks

Had 3 different types of drink and all were not cold enough, guiness extra cold was room temp, peroni bottles felt like they had only just gone in the fridge and the meantime was slightly cold. Other than that the place was great

The Fable is a good location for a corporate lunch, not sure I would come here with friends though. Food was decent, but nothing spectacular. That being said the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Good food and a busy ambience at lunch time. Service was also attentive and friendly. Very convenient work location so we will be back.

Nice bar with good food options. Ordered the fish finger sandwich and a little underwhelmed. Good chips though and great atmosphere. Loved the curved wall of books!

A group of us came to have drinks after work and it was a vibe! There was a nice atmosphere, very busy but we still were able to dance and also talk to each other (not always possible in some places!) The staff was super attentive and helped us topping up our drinks. We also ordered some of the bowl food that was delicious! We will be coming back!

Nice bar near the Holborn Viaduct. Spread over three levels, the interior is quite nice. Book themed decor, with a very cool table surrounded by books. Did not spend too much time here but will be coming back to try it out again

This place is only pretty, the atmosphere is nice but that is it. Would recommend for drinks not for food. Unfortunately the food is bland and missing in flavor, I do not recommend the salmon, the sauce was watery and the salmon was very dry. The chips we ordered arrived cold and overall as we were a big group the service struggled as some orders were mixed up. At the end, the evening was fun and as we ordered more drinks we still enjoyed the night, but to be honest will not come back.

I went there for drinks with my co-workers. The ambiance was quite fun. I ordered martini, which was served my someone called ‘Gary’, he was quite a server, he understood our taste and gave superb recommendations. I think that martini was one of the best martinis’ I have ever had. Totally recommended.

Ordered chicken and mushroom pie with mash. The pie was likewarm and the jus that came with it was way too sweet and didn't really complement the pie nor mash

The venue is pleasant enough, the location and music was good. The food and drinks were awful, we left the restaurant once it shut at 6pm and had to get food elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend going there for the bottomless brunch the prosseco was cheap and nasty and their cocktails were unimpressive, not worth the £20 upgrade.

I visited here today with a hen group for a bottomless brunch. As lovely as the place looks the aesthetic and food is all that I can compliment. The service was atrocious, the staff barely topped up any glasses in the whole time they were there and seemed to need reminding to do so. For a bottomless brunch of 60pp 2 or 3 rounds of alcohol isn't good enough. The staff in general looked miserable, as a shift worker I understand weekend work isn't ideal but I expected a level of professionalism and politeness instead of the misery we received. A personal disappointment was that as a pregnant non drinker I paid the same price as my alcohol drinking counterparts. 60 pounds for a burger and chips, and one non alcoholic cocktail which I had to personally make an effort to ask for. Considering it was a prebooking I would of expected some understanding for the 2 in our group to be catered too, even to be offered an extra side dish in place of alcohol if for some reason you cannot reduce the price to a reasonable degree. The food was average, I enjoyed my chicken burger but others were disappointed with the version of steak that was served. Having looked at other reviews before writing my own I can see we are not the only group to have experienced issues with this venue, management need to look within the team and work on improving their customer service which I would rate a zero if I could. Such a disappointing experience for a friend's special event. I would not return on any basis.

Very expensive for a very basic brunch. Staff were excellent and very attentive, but food was pub standard and very stingy portions. The charcuterie sharing starter was miniscule.

Amazing food. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. We were there for quite some time but were not made to feel rushed. Value for money.

My daughter and I popped in on the off chance of a table on a Tuesday night. We had the the arancini and the chorizo scotch egg to start and the salmon and cod as mains. All were very good. The service was excellent from the first welcome. In particular Nadia was brilliant throughout and really looked after us.

Only went to meet a colleague for drinks and it was extremely busy. Great for the atmosphere but meant the bar queue was very long and they add 12.5% discretionary service charge even for bar drinks. You can ask to remove it but when the bar queue is massive it feels uncomfortable to ask for this without causing distain from others waiting to be served. Don't put service charges on bar service. It makes expensive drinks even more so.

Location is great, atmosphere is nice. The food wasn't as expected. or Don't try fish and ships. waiters are so pushy and they force you to buy more or to choose an expensive order based on their choice. No room to take your decision. Once the order is done, they ignore you even if you look straight into their eyes.

Stunning interiors and plenty of space over this multi floored restaurant. Service was good. Our food was nicely presented but flavours were a bit bland.

The food is brilliant and the venue is super lovely! The duck salad is to die for!!! Service isn't always the best in terms of friendliness but it's fast and professional!

A nice find in High Holborn! The online menu very helpfully sets out the vegan/vegetarian menu. Not many choices to be fair but the wild mushroom risotto was yum. A crispy light batter on the onion rings too. Service was attentive and they kept an eye on the main door to stop a draft reaching us. If during winter you fancy sitting outside, they have blankets and hot water bottles on the ready. My OCD won’t let me use them but I know afew who would.

Lovely restaurant with delicious food and attractive decor. Nadia, who looked after our table, provided brilliant customer service including remembering every item each individual in our five person group ordered to give us all separate bills.

Lovely fish, chips & wine - Nadia went above and beyond to make us comfortable!! Will definitely be back.

Company Christmas lunch, my table is too crowded. It's a shame that they start taking your glass away when you go toilet and ask people to leave early.

Went for a work event, and place was gorgeous. Plenty of space for large corporate events but toilet corridor was awkward to navigate when using upstairs as a cloak room. Didn't take away from the beauty of the venue and how great the staff seemed when serving

Service is wonderful, waiters are very friendly. Our server was Peppe and he looked after us so well. Food was great and the venue itself is beautiful. 10/10 would come back

I used to come to the Fable a few years ago and I ended up being disappointed by it. I thought I'd give it a go this week and OMG what a change, it must be mentioned. The food is delish and the cocktails are sublime. I met the manager, (I can't recall his name, I think Antony but not sure, he sounded latino) and he was very accommodating when we had to change our meal due to a gluten allergy. Absolute star of the show, thank you for such an amazing experience. Go Fable, you are Fablelicious!!

A typical D+G gastropub. Quirky corporate decor, average beer offerings, good size and reasonably well executed menu.

Atmosphere was great, waitresses were nice. Some items on the menu that we wanted weren't there. Most people were happy with their meal, the two of us that ordered steaks were unhappy. I ordered medium rare and it came well done and my colleague sent his steak back to the kitchen twice due to it being overcooked. Would advise against eating steak there, all the other food on the table looked appetising.

A nice trendy bar/restaurant in the city of London... has a good variety of food and drink options. I would recommend booking in advance if you want a table to sit at, otherwise it'll be standing room only. There's also an outdoor seating area with blankets for those chilly nights.

Disappointing, had to constantly remind staff to top up our drinks which they seemed annoyed about at one point they took our drinks to fill up and didn’t bring them back for 10 minutes normally easily pleased but this was the worst I’d been too. Food was good but other than that a poor experience.

Great place! You definitely need to book a table if you want a table on a Thursday-Friday. Food is great and so are the drinks. The place gets a bit loud - especially the music. But other than that it’s great. I recommend!

One lager and one pale ale on tap and a significant amount of the cocktail menu wasn't available. The sharing plates were fine but nothing more than that. It's okay but there are plenty of better spots in the area, both in terms of pubs and bars.

Il locale è molto caratteristico. Occupa tre piani di un palazzo a fianco di un ponte stradale cittadino nel quartiere di Holborn, quindi gode di due ingressi principali, uno sulla strada superiore ed uno su quella inferiore. Il locale è grande bello ma con un difetto: l'acustica. Tante persone inseme che parlano a volte rendeva impossibile persino sentirsi con il vicino di tavolo....e se ci si aggiunge la musica di sottofondo..... Il cibo: insomma discreto, ma non è un loro punto forte, almeno per un italiano come me, abituato alla cucina mediterranea. Comunque il locale è un risto pub molto elegante adatto per la convivialità. Il servizio è cortese e professionale, non molto rapido ma quella sera nel locale erano presenti davvero molti clienti, quindi il ritardo è scusabile. On a business trip to London, after a good but also tiring first day of meetings, we meet with all our colleagues in this pub restaurant to enjoy a convivial dinner together. The place is very characteristic. It occupies three floors of a building alongside a city road bridge in the Holborn district, so it has two main entrances, one on the upper street and one on the lower one. The place is big and beautiful but with a defect: the acoustics. Many people talking together sometimes made it impossible to even hear with the table neighbor ... and if you add the background music ..... The food: in short, decent, but it's not their strong point, at least for an Italian like me, used to Mediterranean cuisine. However, the place is a very elegant pub restaurant suitable for conviviality. The service is courteous and professional, not very fast but there were really many customers in the restaurant that evening, so the delay is excusable.

Nice spacious venue. Came here for a social event but most people stood outside as it got very hot indoors. Didn’t try the food but the cocktails were nice and the event was fun!

Clean and pleasant gastro pub. Spacious customer areas and the toilet was also clean and posh. Near the Viaduct! Staff was lovely.

Charged me service for ordering at the bar and said “we don’t do receipts” when I asked for one. Eventually got it. And charged me 2.75 was soda that was coming from a tap

My friend booked a table on the terrace, sadly this turned out to be the pavement beside the busy street. Not sure where the fantasty inspired fairy tail bit came into it, just a plain old restaurant. Food was good and staff pleasant. Beware of the home made lemonade, it will blow ur head off. 😜

Great settings. Our server Giuseppe has been 5 stars, very friendly and attentive. HE definitely was a plus to our experience of The Fable. The food is very tasty and there are a few gluten and dairy free option. Highly recommended.
