Very happy with the shisha I ordered, the best one around this area (tried Lamar Lounge and Amasi and both sub standard). Reef Lounge also have great food, I ordered one of their pizzas and it was amazing! Great customer service too. I definitely recommend this place to anyone.

My two daughters purchased a groupon voucher to eat at this restaurant. As one of my daughters was unable to go I went instead! I was unsure what to expect. The girls had paid approximately £30 for the voucher! We arrived and asked what the format was. We were informed that we could choose anything from the menu expect the two steak dishes. On the voucher it showed the surf and turf! Very disappointing. We ordered the sea bass fillet. The guy gave us a load of waffle about how they had had bass and salmon but had run out! In the end we selected fish and chips. A customer who WAS NOT using a voucher came in and received his order. It looked very like sea bass. We then overheard the table next asking if it was the sea bass fillet to which the guy replied YES! I was amazed, how dishonest. As I was with my young daughter I didn't want to make a fuss or scene but thought it outrageous. The sea bass was in fact around £4 more than the fish/chips. If they don’t serve on the voucher scheme then you should be told. I must admit the fish/chips were very tasty and the portion size was good, food was hot and well presented. However, a long way to travel for fish/chips. We could of bought locally for less money! Staff were helpful and very friendly! The restaurant was not refurbished and chairs very uncomfortable. We were presented with a bill for £7. This was apparently service charge. The most our meal cost would have been £40!!! Somewhat over the top for service! Again with my daughter I didn’t want to make a fuss. I would NOT recommend or ever go again. Had the staff been honest in the first place I would feel less aggrieved about the sea bass situation! We weren’t even the opportunity to pay extra for the steak meals!

We went under a Living Social Voucher. We had tried to go on several occasions only to find it closed - despite the website boasting "Now fully open". When we did manage to find it open, they gleefully informed us that the voucher expired the day before. We told them how we had made several previous attempts, could get no answer on the phone. They advised "We only opened 2 weeks ago, we are the new owners" So obvious the voucher was arranged with the previous ownership and a complete pain to have to honour. Used to be lovely when Lorraine (Annie) owned it, great shame. We did what we should have in the first place, forget the voucher, just go to our normal favourite Fish Kitchen in Sheen - a true local gem both in terms of such a quality fish restaurant and the service combined.

Utilizando un bono, cenamos en la víspera dijimos. El servicio y la comida eran normales, pero el restaurante olía a freidora grasa profunda. no reciben la comida que pedimos y nos dejaron sin tener que pagar el cargo por servicio. Estábamos acosado por teléfono 4 veces en el restaurante, que no podía comprender que cargo por servicio es opcional y decidimos no pagar. Lo más chocante, recibimos una llamada de la policía al día siguiente, con una denuncia de robo. El personal había urdido una historia de nosotros dejando el restaurante sin tener que pagar por una botella de champaña, que era una fabricación completa. Estamos verdaderamente impactado por su comportamiento y aconsejo a nadie que visite este establecimiento. Una vergüenza!

Sólo para ser claro no es un restaurante de pescado - es un pescado, pizza y curry restaurante?! Ah, y comida para llevar.

hemos estado antes y tuvimos una experiencia fantástica, pero esta vez en un sábado tarde era menos. Nos encontramos en una oferta bono, y nos dieron un menú 'especial' (inferior) con poco elección de pescado y patatas fritas básicamente. El pescado estaba delicioso pero las patatas fritas eran una mezcla de calientes y fríos. Yo sólo puedo suponer que el restaurante tiene molestase haciendo vale ofertas, ya que me di cuenta de que los clientes que pagan recibimos todo un poco mejor (por ejemplo pedí algunas salsa tártara y recibimos una pequeñísima ramekin, pero sin vale clientes estaban recibiendo grandes macetas con limón rodajas. Me pareció que la idea de los vales sociales era para mostrar sus talentos y busque el business de repetir. detalles como el diminuto ramekin, menú especial reducido y £6.50 tarifa obligatoria de servicio no hacerlo y es contraproducente. Este restaurante tiene mucho que ofrecer, pero están tomando riesgos. les deseo suerte.

Reservé una oferta por estar Social, para este restaurante. recibí una llamada del restaurante hoy (martes 21 de febrero a informó que habían tomado mi reserva de Viernes 24 th 2012 Febrero a las 7 de la tarde, por error, y que tienen un evento privado esa noche así que tendrían que cancelarla. me había hecho la reserva con antelación (aproximadamente hace 3 semanas) así que fue un poco confundidos por qué se había dejado hasta 2 días antes de mi reserva a llamarme.

este solía ser nuestro favorito local, siempre tuvimos la y lubina calamaris pero ya que ha cambiado de manos, ¡muy caro para lo que te dan, y la decoración es muy lentamente aspecto cansado,abierto para el desayuno, así que lo probamos y fue muy decepcionante. Al principio tuve que registro fue abierto, ya que no había recibido cuando entré en el restaurante. El chef probé pero no lo suficientemente bueno, me hubiera gustado un tocino y queso croissant. Una auténtica lástima el deterioro de valor y servicio, no volveremos allí de nuevo.

We bought a voucher months ago when the reviews were excellent and were dismayed to read a few recent very poor reviews. However, our lunch experience today was very good--service friendly and all one could wish for, and the food very good. It was true that the two tiger prawns that made up one starter were small (and we would not have been happy to pay the standard price for them), but the cooking and flavor were just right. Moules, as the other starter, and the filets of sea bass as our mains were perfectly cooked and delicious. We will happily visit Reef again.

It was the worst restaurant experience I have had. The food was awful, the restaurant floor was filthy, the service was bad and it was not value for money - my son ordered prawns for the first course and was given 2 tiny prawns. I am still feeling nauseous a day later. The owner was exceptionally rude and aggressive.

Very poor experience. We went with a groupon voucher so i didn't have high expectactions. It's a pizza/fish restaurant with a limited menu. It took 3 orders to find something on the menu they had, the starters (squid and prawns) were decent, not sure i'd normally pay £7 for 2 prawns or for a quarter of a squid. Mussels for main were decent but portions visibly smaller than other tables. Then charged full 12% service on the full value of the voucher plus what we bought. If the aim was to attract new customers then they failed. If you want to pay over the odds for average fish and chips go ahead. If not find a decent fish and chip shop and keep that in business

The place is horrible. You are going as if into a cheap cafe with ridicolously priced menu for what you get. For starter we had king prawns with a bit of bread. There were 2 prawns which tasted like mash inside. Fish pie is salty and not tasty... The decor could do with some attention especially the large damp patch above the entrance... On the table you are having the bottles of nasty sauces ketchup and vinegar. My partner has been in much better builders' cafes with much better food and half the price at least. Let's not forget the £5.50 service charge from somebody wearing ugg boots and a cardigan from western international market... On the way back you can smell your clothes of chip fat.... disaster...

We went to Reef last night, with a voucher. We got the distinct impression our custom wasn't valued at all! I ordered tiger prawns for starter, and we both ordered sea bass for main. A couple of minutes later the waitress came back and said they had run out of sea bass. so I changed my order to fish cakes. She came back 2 minutes later again, and said no more fish cakes! so I changed to mussels. The size of the main course mussels that we had, were laughable. The portions were smaller than others in the restaurant, and smaller than my starter at Loch Fyne a few weeks ago! Can't complain about the taste, however we were not impressed with our treatment. We got the bill, which was a 12.5% service charge on the value of the most expensive items we could have ordered...not the food we had actually ordered!!! Unbelievable. When we questioned this, we were told that was compulsory, and what they charged everyone who used the voucher!!! We complained and have treated with complete contempt. Avoid. Just go to Loch Fyne, its cheaper, better and you get reasonable portion sizes!!

Visited this Saturday night with my wife and I had read that they were good at seafood, but this was even better than expected! Situated a bit out-of-the-way on the far south side of Chiswick amongst a small row of shops, it looked unassuming but inviting from outside. Once in, the service was attentive and the menu choice very good.For starters we had salted squid in a light batter and prawns in garlicky sauce, both done very well, the squid perfectly cooked and tender. For mains, I had the biggest cod in batter I've seen in years (a good 12" in length), served with crisp chips. It was absolutely spot-on, the batter light and crispy without being oily, the fish texture light and moist. My wife had fish pie packed with good, meaty chunks of fish in a rich creamy sauce, baked to perfection. Desserts were chocolate brownie and ice cream, which was fine. Perhaps the strawberry tart may have been a better choice .... will have to go back soon and try the rest of the menu!A very highly recommended restaurant - especially good value for their lunchtime special deals (fish 'n chips 'n mushy peas were £10.95) - phone them in advance to check the menu, I see they even do take-aways

I frequent the reef quite often and I have watched it slowly inch it's way into mediocrity. In our latest visit we ordered the fish & chips, the fish pie, fish cakes and a pizza. The tired old menu is still the same. I often wonder if it is a small menu like the Reefs' why they can't change every three to six months? On to the food, Fish was good, fries were those wooden frozen things, fish pie and fish cakes, lot's of potato but where was the fish? The pizza came and when I asked about the crust they said they buy them frozen. Pity! This place could really be top notch and it's just gotten very lazy and tired. The location and ambiance are excellent. There doesn't appear to be any pride in what they do and it is now basically a take out joint for pizza & fish and chips.I'll wager that if things don't change soon the ship will be on the reef in no time.

It's tucked away down Burlington Lane and looks kind of ordinary. What this place is all about is top quality food and friendly service. We had squid and mussels for starters which were great, followed by sea bass and 'surf and turf' ( ribeye steak and charcoal grilled king prawns) which were equally good. Reef does takeaway fish and chips and the phone went frequently during our visit for these-maybe not the most most romantic of venues because of this, but the food speaks for itself. Try it; we had a great time.

I love this place! This was my fourth visit and it gets better each time. The staff are fantastic, the food is good, whether you're with a group, on your own or part of a couple you can be as 'alone' or as involved as you like. We were given a warm welcome,service was prompt for both food and drink. Selection of food was good and tasted great and my husband thoroughly enjoyed tasting wine and cocktails..

I have kissed many frogs, too many frogs … Last night, I found myself walking into ‘Reef’ a real restaurant, you cannot buy class, you either have it or …. Everything about ‘Reef’, ticked all my boxes, a class operation, great ambiance, nicely decorated, oozing charm and a great energy. The service was professional, polite and alert, the kitchen is inventive and yet knows the importance of doing the simple things well, actually far better than well more like impeccably, yeah, it was that good. No short cuts here, everything was freshly home made, the produce of the highest standard. I started with salt and pepper squid, served with a sweet chilli dipping sauce, superb. I then ordered cod and chips, no greasy, limp fry/chip here, but a great hand cut chip, cooked perfectly and served up pipping hot, in a clean bowl along-side a marvelous piece of cod again beautifully cooked to perfection, with as much freshly cut lemon as you would want, most excellent says I. My partner had Pan-Fried Cajun Marinade Tiger Prawns, again, spot on, pipping hot and delicious, followed by a stunningly home made fish-pie, 10 out of 10. The wine list is good as is their cocktail menu, all in all this place, ‘Reef’ deserves to be a very successful adventure to all who step in through the door and once through those doors you will be coming back for more, regularly. This is indeed a very nice little restaurant but its extremely pricey for what you actually get.We had the "Surf and Turf" (you pay £3 extra to get 2 prawns on your plate next to the steak) and pan fried seabass. We asked for a very well done piece of steak - it was raw inside when we cut it up. Proper chewy and red. The seabass was not cooked enough either. The skin was very slimey. Anyway I dont like sending food back to the kitchen as some of the chefs do things to your food that you dont really want to know about...I just eat it and never go back.I bought the voucher for this place on livingsocial.com but I would never go there again and pay ridiculous money for that food.If you like undercooked english cousine this place is right for you!

I really like this restaurant - the decor is lovely, all shabby chic which gives it a lovely cosy 'front-room' atmosphere. The lady who runs the restaurant (and who I believe also owns it) couldn't be nicer, nothing is too much trouble and she's very friendly and helpful. And the food is excellent, really good fish and chips in hefty portions! This would be a great restaurant for anyone who wants to give their kids a treat, while still eating well themselves, as the menu has both healthy and 'kid-friendly' options. The only caveat is that it does feel pretty pricey when you're ordering - £13.95 for fish and chips. The portion size and quality of the food keeps me coming back though!

I've been going to Reef regularly over the past few years - but the food we had on Wednesday was the best in a very long time. My fish pie was piping hot and packed with delicious fish and prawns with a really cheesey topping - yum! My friends all had the Goan fish curry which was equally delicious. Service was excellent. It was also incredible value. Well done Reef - Chiswick's hidden gem of a restaurant!

Well what a refreshing experience!!Visited Reef after a few months to find out it's under new management and no longer part of the Annie's group.The owners are a family, who in my opinion really upped the stakes the food is soooo much better then it used to be!I had the Masala fish an addition to the old menu and pleasantly surprised was really good. New updated and clean Menu's not the old pieces of paper all saturated in oil!My husband had the salt and pepper squid a MUST and followed with the Cod and Chips, a wonderfully large portion and cooked to perfection. ( i don't think people quite appreciate that to get the fish cooked just right is quite difficult) Must have a good fryer.Service was really up to slandered staff couldn't have been more helpful. Visited on a Saturday night was very busy recommend to book in advance. Will defiantly recommended to all catered for everyone.

Oh dear, what a shame, like others I thought Reef was an excellent fish restaurant in a poorly served part of Chiswick, but something has gone very wrong with it. I tried booking a table for two on the restaurant's website only to find that it was fully booked. As we didn't want to eat until late I gave the restaurant a call and was told that a table was available at 9 pm. On arriving the restaurant was empty apart form one other couple. Odd as it has previously always been busy on a Saturday night. Then we were presented with the new menu which now includes burgers and pizza. The service was haphazard, the food was OK but the kitchen staff started to switch the litchen lights out once our food had been served and were out the door by 10 pm. The overall impression was one of 'couldn't care less'. Won't be going back.
