Birthday treat for my wife. Third visit to this amazing place and it never disappoints. The food is absolutely amazing and Lucy and the rest of the staff are so welcoming, friendly and thoroughly professional. Need to go more often, if you visit Grange and need food, head here, you won't be disappointed.

This diner was recommended by a friend. We enjoy an all day breakfast so thought we would give Munchies a try. Wow! We ordered 2 Olympic breakfasts. After a few minutes the chef came out and politely asked if we realised how large the meal would be as some people are unable to eat it all and are surprised at the size of it. We assured him it would be fine. The meal was delicious, hot, well cooked and well presented. And yes we did eat it all. We will certainly return as we live locally. A real gem

Quaint little tea room, family owned, a bit tightly packed round you, but great value for money and everything with cheerful service. It is amazing what they can produce from their tiny kitchen. You need to be lucky with parking or walk from the big car park a few hundred yards away. Worth it to stare into the overpriced antique shops on the way! Steps up to get in.

Having not visited for 15 or more years, we decided a visit was long overdue and it fitted in perfectly with our plans for the day. In fact it was a perfect ending to a great day out. We were greeted by the owner and staff in a friendly way and had the choice of tables. A cosy table adjacent the disused ornate waterwheel and associated mechanism was tucked away in the corner and was great for conversation. The staff were very attentive and the quality of the food was excellent. Portion sizes were great. A good choice of menu options. Had such a lovely meal, we booked again for three weeks time!

We stayed for 2 nights and were looked after superbly by the lovely family owners. The food was simply wonderful and their company was really enjoyable. Close to excellent hiking trails (our purpose for staying) and various points of interest I would recommend to everyone.

By far the worst pub meal we have ever had. My mac and cheese was in a bowl the size of a cereal bowl and half empty. Two slices of garlic bread that were at most 2 inches. £15 for this and left hungry. When the waitress asked and we told her she said she would inform the chef came back and just walked by us .. never again. The other 3 meals were better but not much, over cooked chips, dry overcooked burger and chicken burger with no taste of teriyaki!

Nice central location ideal for taking a break whilst enjoying the atmosphere. Seating inside but on a fine day the tables outside are a good choice. The food displayed in the front window tells you all you need to know about your options, pasties to take away seem a good choice if in a hurry. We loved the coffee with some lovely cakes to accompany. Seating is basic but adequate and there are no toilets otherwise recommended.

Pizza was excellent and so was the salad but staff were completely indifferent/unengaged bordering sullen and menu collected from bar was covered in stains and food remnants - baring in mind it was paper and on the bar in front of staff no excuse imo. Staff need to wear a smile or get out of hospitality and consider what a filthy menu implies your kitchen hygiene might be like 💀 Last niggle - your an independent Cornish business - why do you sell canned water from Northamptonshire and not from Cornwall !?!?

Stopped off for lunch , I had a fish finger butty my husband had quiche. The young man that served us was exceptionally polite , however the food was of poor quality, the fish fingers were grey fish , I expected?? Homemade. They were tasteless , I asked for tartare sauce but they didn’t have any , my husband said the quiche was just about ok lots of salad leaves pilled high a quarter of tomato , plain and basic This place is set in a beautiful place we have been many times but unfortunately this time it wasn’t so good

Beautiful pub with really friendly and capable staff. We had Sunday lunch; starters mains and desserts. Excellent food in every course... home-cooked, fresh, inspiring, well-done and HOT. We had the gurnard risotto and roasted veg soup to start; both were excellent. The beef with trimmings and the hake for main; both excellent. plum pud for dessert - wonderful crumble! Lovely flavors and presentation, great atmosphere and helpful staff. They were busy, but it didn't affect the food or the service. Great value for money. We'll be back to enjoy their lovely garden in the Summer.

We’ve been dining at The Star Inn for many years, and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious, and the service is consistently outstanding. On our latest visit, my husband and son had the fillet steaks, which were cooked to perfection. My daughter enjoyed the classic fish and chips, while I opted for the chicken curry. We couldn’t resist the chocolate fudge cake for dessert. It’s clear why this place has become a firm favourite for us. The Star Inn always delivers. Safe to say, we’ll be returning again and again!
