Great family meal. What a gem of a place. Cool vibe, great menu and drinks. Excellent authentic pizzas and divine salads. Sabine and her mum offer excellent food and service. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely love this place. Lovely atmosphere, laid back vibe. Great music - not too loud but gives the place ambiance. Pizza is really really good. Loads of ale and lager to choose from. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Very good for the dog - he was allowed in and thoroughly spoilt.

The best pizza I have had in a long time, great flavour, lovely thin crispy base and not overloaded with cheese. Perfect.

The food is very good, very tasty and well priced and presented. The young lady who served us was warm and friendly. Miss it and miss out on first class experience.

Brodys Italian bistro is lovely ,I have been twice now ,the food & service is fabulous. Freshly cooked food as you order, Sabrina & her mum are so lovely & attentive,service with a friendly smile, nothing is to much trouble to make sure you have a nice relaxing meal. We had a delicious freshly made pizza the base & topping was perfect, also our pasta dishes were both fresh & authentic Italian . The prices are very good value ( in this climate of rising costs it can’t be easy for restaurants,) Brodys also have specials which are amazing value including drinks . The cocktails are wonderful & lots to choose from. The menu has good choices for every taste. The decor is quirky I love it ,music to create relaxed atmosphere ,dog friendly, weekends they sometimes have a DJ for dancing after your meal . Definitely a gem in skipton & you won’t be disappointed.

We held my sons christening celebration at Brodys. Booking and organising was so easy. The space was lovely and provided a brilliant setting for our celebration. The food was brilliant and plenty of it. They were so helpful in preparing separate food for the children. We had a wonderful time. Can't recommend Brodys enough!

After a visit for a Christmas meet up I have to say I am very disappointed. The room itself lacked ambience and warmth (freezing to be precise) We booked as previously we have enjoyed evenings here, however tonight we were very disappointed. Dough balls (still very much dough ) served in plastic trays, followed by a poor vegetable lasagne, with minimal if any béchamel sauce, and again a raw dough pizza. Whilst I don't claim to be a chef, I do feel that as an establishment if you are presenting a minimalist menu, then it has to be at the very least good, if not exceptional. To present as an Italian restaurant then a basic tomato based sauce and thoroughly cooked pizza dough should be a given.

Checked trip advisor for a nice Italian in the local area and Brody's came up. We have had really lovely food in a nice atmosphere 🙂

Went in for a bite to eat just as it had opened during the week, so had the whole place to ourselves. Think the heating had just kicked in as it was a bit cold to start with but warmed up nicely. Excellent and friendly service, nice pint of their own brew. Had the three cheese pizza and my wife had the veggie lasagna. Both excellent. Board games available, if you so wish. Would recommend. Photo will give you some idea of the quirkiness!

Stumbled on this place after a canal walk from Gargrave. Youngest of the clan (who had obviously walked furthest with little legs) called a shout on Pizza. Nice setting, super friendly staff, so welcoming. Pizzas were super tasty and fresh. Check it out.

Brilliant quirky restaurant with a warm atmosphere. The food menu is mainly Italian. The food was delicious. The kids got to choose toppings and even a double olive pizza was great. The restaurant was great for our large group of four families on holiday in Yorkshire but even for a romantic dinner would have been fab. The cocktails are amazing and the mock tails too. All in all a fantastic experience. Thanks Sabine and team.

Loved this place. Went for dinner - two families and dog. Staff were lovely, welcoming and kind. The food was great, we had salad, tapas, loads of pizzas. All were top notch. Prices were reasonable. Brody’s lager was delicious. All round a perfect place for dinner. Mixed clientele, not just families. Can also go in just for drinks. Laid back, friendly and great food - perfect.

I've not been here for a few years and didn't realise it had changed hands. We were not disappointed! From outside it looks very inviting with the fairy lights lighting up the stairs to the entrance. We really liked the quirky interior; no heirs and...

Very friendly restaurant in a large room with plenty of space and fun decoration giving a nice atmosphere. Mostly pizzas (flat thin base) on the menu but some simple pasta dishes too. Food was ok, average price.

Very tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere. Chicken and chorizo pasta was spicy and full of flavour. My partner had a pizza which he polished off in no time. The icing on the cake is the home made limoncello, delicious!

Booked at table on a Wednesday as part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Staff were friendly, food was lovely however I was disappointed in the way in which the bill was worked out. It seems in regards to the Eat Out to Help Out scheme our bill was just rounded to an appropriate number as when I calculated the bill based on my understanding of the scheme, I arrive at a number lower than I was charged. I was unable to digest this properly at the time as as soon as I had been given the bill, the waitress was ready with the card machine. I also wanted to double check how the Eat Out to Help Out scheme worked before I made a fool of myself by questioning it. Bitter end to an otherwise lovely meal.

First visit to Brody’s and not be the last. The garlic bread and pizza was to die for, the base so thin and crisp allowing you to enjoy the flavoursome toppings. Yum yum yum. And all in a beautiful building, contemporary with character.

We ordered 2 pizzas and chips and got a free garlic pizza bread! Everything was absolutely delicious. So so impressed and will absolutely be ordering in the future!

We have just enjoyed pizza from Brody’s, oh how we have missed you during lock down. Phone and collect/delivery worked a dream and the quality was as good as ever. Undoubtedly still the best pizzas in town. Good to have you back Sabine and team. Many thanks.

Went last night for the early bird special with my wife. We love Italian food, but sad to say, this is Not Italian food. Chicken liver pate was tasteless served with stodgy ciabatta bread followed by 'Spicy chicken and chorizo pasta' for main. Possibly the worst Italian dish I've ever had put in front of me, completely devoid of flavour and with tagliatelle pasta that was so overcooked, it was difficult to spoon off the plate.2 dishes each with a few drinks £40. We left feeling quite angry!

We had lunch at Brodys the 1st Sunday in December - 7 adults and two toddlers. Skipton was very busy because it was the Christmas market and Brodys was busy too.However, we were served by two really friendly members of staff and couldn’t have asked for better service.We went for the family offer which includes 2 pizzas,1 garlic bread pizza, salad and chips all for £25 ! We ordered 2 of those and all of us ate for £50. The food was amazing, as was the service and we will definitely be going back.The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside with pictures of Venice and other Italian sites. It suited us as a group but would easily be lovely for a quiet dinner for two. We would definitely recommend it

I ate here with a pal on our annual trip to sell at Yarndale yarn fair at Skipton auction mart.First tried last year, we were happy to return for a Friday evening treat.We both had pasta with greens and pesto which was seriously tasty. It’s not always easy to find a veggie dish that isn’t just cheese and tomatoes but this was perfect.

Great food & a charming lady ! We really enjoyed our evening , it was lovely for my H who is GF to have so much choice.

Right in the heart of skipton Brodys Yorkshire pizzeria make thin base pizzas have a good early bird offer of 3 courses for £16.95 & £5.95 child's pizza + ice cream. Assy food secial requests catered for and didn't charge extra. Friendly family run place.Planning a large works party here as Sabine and Jane certainly know how to look after Their customers.

I'd like to just say how gorgeous and bright this place is. The service was very fast and the people seemed kind and pleasant. The food is extremely great value for money and I couldn't fault it at all. Thank you for your great hospitality

Having read the reviews we were expecting great things , but were left disappointed. The staff were friendly and efficient but the pizzas were hard dry and tasteless . I ordered button mushrooms with fresh pineapple I think they must have run out of the pineapple as I got three minute pieces ! Sad to say I’ve had much tastier pizza from the freezer counter in a supermarket !

We went here to eat. It was empty so should have realised! My Asparagus courgette and feta salad was actually a lettuce salad with bits of feta, courgette and aspagus, no dressing. The desert was terrible, my husbands raspberry and almond tart needed cooking and I have no idea what I had. It was supposed to be chocolate brownie but it was solid and I could bounce my spoon off it.

A small restaurant with a very relaxed atmosphere. We had booked our dinner table, as we knew the restaurant was popular and could be busy. The service was very friendly and efficient; after our drinks orders were taken, we were given time to look at the menu and make our choices. I wanted a light dish, so had a beautiful and flavoursome asparagus, courgette and rocket salad. My husband had prawn and asparagus linguine from the specials menu, which he said was very good. He had a lemon tart with lemon sorbet to follow. As we had been joking with the waitress about him ordering a dessert and then my wanting to have some, she brought two spoons, which I thought was lovely!. I had a pot of Earl Grey. Its a lovely, light filled restaurant in an historical building. Diners are not hurried, but neither are they ignored.

What a surprise. We were expecting something fairly basic. This restaurant is in a lovely room with high ceilings and candeliers! The pasta and pizza dishes were great. I had a chicken dish which was also very good. Very welcoming and good service - can't fault Brodys on any level

Went here with a group of friends and were not disappointed, food was of an excellent standard and good value.for money, service was a little slow but this did not affect our meal in anyway, well worth a visit if you are in Skipton!!

On our first night in Skipton, we had a wander around looking for somewhere to eat. Brody's caught our eye so we ventured up the stone stairs to have a look.

Very poor value and sooo slow. Cost £37 for 2 glasses of coke some sharing bread and 2 ultra thin pizzas. Almost lost the will to live waiting - bread took 20 mins to arrive and the pizza another 40 mins after that and place was half empty.

I decided to eat here instead of the Pizza Express as I try to support the independent restaurants when I can. It was a good decision.

Booked a last minute table for late lunch for 4 hungry bank holiday travellers and what a fabulous find Brodys was, we had excellent service throughout,the restaurant has lovely attentive staff and fabulous food, we had delicious prawns, pizzas, garlic bread and amazing chips, although stuffed we shared 2 ice cream sundaes which were lovely too. Fabulous meal, great service, can't wait to return, prices good too - thank you

Quick Pizza in here last night (Sunday of easter weekend). Really good quality pizza, good prices, nice decor, good friendly service and they welcomed our dog. Can see why its high up the rankings in the town

We decided to try Brody's for a pizza and we halved a Ortaggio (Mediterranean vegetables) and a Formaggio di Capra (goats cheese, sun dried tomatoes and pesto; both were well cooked but we both preferred the Formaggio di Capra...which was really tasty. The service was great throughout, would I return, yes, till next time.

Italian style with a nice ambience. However, the food is only average. My lasagne was only warm, and had crunchy bits of onion. The ravioli was ‘a bit grey’. There was nothing really wrong, just average.

Called in off the cuff after a suit fitting in the area. Great pizzas and food! Excellent service and great staff. Would come again!

My partners meal was only warm. they heated it up, they did knock £10 of at paying the bill. But quite a good restaurant realy. yes would visit again.

Our first visit to Brody’s, and both grandparents and granddaughter were well satisfied, The pizza plus garlic bread plus salad for two was excellent value as were the drinks. We booked in advance but surprisingly the place was not that busy.

We stumbled upon Brody's having spent a winderduk day in Skipton for a family christening. We didn't have a reservation but amazingly we were able to get a table for nine with a very warm welcome. Service was excellent and the food delicious. In particular the pizza was crisp and tasty.

Popped in on a quite Sunday evening. The lighting was soft and felt very cosy. Received a very warm welcome and was offered the early bird menu even though the time was much later. What followed was a fantastic 3 course meal. The salad starter was excellent, then we tucked into the best clam linguine I have ever had along with the best mushroom pizza outside of italy, complete with a perfect runny egg. Then a baileys cheesecake.

We booked for valentines day and had a great meal, black pudding and bacon salad for my fiance and camenbert starter for me followed by salami and pineapple pizza for me and home made lasagne for him indoors. Both courses were delicious and fairly priced. We were brought a glass of fizz on arrival and a mini pack of love hearts with the bill, just little touches that together with great food and service made for a lovely evening, thanks Brodys see you all again soon! Called for lunch early afternoon Thursday. Nice warm welcome, we only wanted a light lunch, no problem. Light bites and great sandwiches with a side salad, well presented, fresh salad and ciabatta bread with lovely filling. Great service, friendly staff. Would recommend.

We were originally going to dine at the canal side Indian restaurant, until we read the trip advisor reviews, that really put us off the place!

Good job I prebooked. Most tables taken up. The place was well set out. Could have felt more comfortable if they had more heat in the place. It does have quite a high ceiling. A portable heater was just inside the entrance.

We booked Brody’s for lunch while visiting the Skipton Christmas market. When booking we were told we could order anything from any menu on its website, after ordering our meals we were told that most things on the Christmas menu, which a number had previously decided on, needed to be pre-booked which was a disappointment. Generally speaking both food and service was reasonable, with the exception of one of our group being served the wrong meal which obviously meant a wait while the correct meal arrived (the cost was taken off the final bill). For a number of our group the experience was badly letdown by having the go with second choices after looking forward to a particular meal. Had we realised the problems with menus we would possibly have eaten elsewhere and had it not been for the Christmas Market we would possibly have moved on. Such a pity that a family meal could be spoilt but inaccurate information.

Met a friend for dinner after work, who'd been talking about trying this place. We both had different pizzas, but both equally delicious. They were also very accommodating in changes to the toppings which was helpful. Will go back again when I'm in town.

We ate as a family of 4 at Brody’s earlier this week, we arrived around 7.30ish and were fortunate that it wasn’t too busy and we were shown to a table straight away, ordered some drinks and browsed the menu. We ordered 2 garlic pizza breads to start and then 2 pizzas and 2 pasta dishes for mains, the food was served quickly and with a smile!

This review is off the bacl of a fialy negative review of The Woollly Sheep down the road as we came here after walking out of there.

My wife and myself were visiting Skipton and arranged with some friends from the area to go for dinner together. They suggested Brady's, and as we like Italian food we happily agreed. We had not booked, but there was room for us and we were shown to our table, and asked what drinks we wanted. Drinks arrived timely, and we ordered our meals. The atmosphere was very good, and we had a good time chatting away while we waited. I ordered the spicy pork and beef meatballs and tagliatelle pasta, and was surprised when it arrived with penne pasta instead. Querying this I was informed they were out of tagliatelle and had substituted the penne. This was not a big deal to me, but I should have been advised before being served. The meatballs were very tasty and a nice size and portion, and I enjoyed the meal very much. The staff were just the right amount of attentive, asking about refills and the meal just enough. We followed our meal with desert, and I ordered the knickerbocker glory, which arrived in the traditional serving bowl, and looked nice, but lacked the trimmings of past glories ( No wafers or flakes or sprinkles ). Again, it was nice, just lacked the extra factor.

Had booked as a Sunday lunch spot - as a family get together was combined with a transport event in Skipton. The dismal morning weather could not be avoided - so it was good to be able to look forward to a hot lunch. We were not disappointed.

My husband and I were staying in Skipton last weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. For the Saturday evening we were looking for somewhere a little special to eat. We love Italian food and after some Trip Advisor research decided to book at Brody's as the reviews were really positive. We were told at the time of booking that we may be waiting a little while for food that evening as there was a large party booked in at a similar time, we reassured the hostess that this was not a problem as we were happy to wait.

Decided to eat at Brody's based on reviews. Up a flight of stone steps to a bright and light tastefully decorated restaurant. We were dining early evening so took advantage of the early bird menu £15.95 for 3 courses. Fantastic value. The food was absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. We chose breaded goats cheese, chicken, leek and pea tagliatelle and citrus tart with sorbet. Good choice of wines. Attentive and pleasant staff.

My sister and I stopped by after shopping. The food we had was lovely and tasty.

I am dairy free so don't usually go for an evening meal to a Restarant that calls itself a Pizzeria but my friend loves Pizza so we went. They had some lovely sounding non-dairy choices and the meatballs and linguine were very good. A good place to eat if a little quiet despite being a Friday night! However, we were not rushed by waiting staff and so had a very pleasant evening.

Visited with the family on a Sunday night. Starters were fantastic and very generous portion sizes. Pizzas were also really nice, with a very thin crispy base, which is just how we like them. One member of the group ordered a salad for a main which wasn’t overly exciting, we expected better for the price paid. The atmosphere and service also felt a bit cold. However, we would return for the pizza alone.

Rang up to order takeaway pizzas and popped in 10-15 minutes later to find them coming out of the oven. Perfectly thin and crispy, flavoursome and fresh. Also a free tomato garlic pizza with the order! Easily the best pizza in town.

We've been here quite a few times and we also get takeaway pizza from here. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is always nice and the staff are always very nice, polite and helpful. It's also a lovely spot for Valentine's day dinner, we've been a few times for this occasion. The menu isn't massive, but what I've had on it is always good. I would definitely recommend.

We went on the Tuesday after the bank holiday. Was very quiet with only three tables including us, and one left soon after we arrived.

With a wide range of restaurants in Skipton it is hard to decide where to eat.

Just visited Brodys restaurant with my daughter for our evening meal. I had the vegetarian pasta, my daughter had risotto. Both meals were of a high standard, good portion size and good value for money. The girl who served us was helpful and very courteous.

Went with my husband, had read the reviews was a little sceptical, was very pleasantly surprised. Fabulous food and helpful friendly staff will definitely be back

Visited on a bank holiday Sunday, some of the starters were frozen so weren't that tasty. Service was terrible, only a small place seemed like the owner was trying to do everything by himself and help the chef as well, but forgot about the front of house. Was joined by 1 other staff member later but they were running around taking food, but not offering further drinks, no check back and the bill took ages as only the manager could produce. Mains were ok but doubt will return.

Unfortunately the staff appeared to be virtually ignoring us once we had ordered and the restaurant was pretty quiet at the time. My son enjoyed his pizza but the adult meals were greasy. I am hoping this is a temporary glitch given previous good reviews.

We looked on Google for recommended Italian food nearby.. really don't know how this is a the top.. we were met by a woman saying there that table there...when we asked for a table for 4. Quite abrupt too! I asked for gluten free pasta" response well you'll have to be quick at ordering that as it takes longer! We ordered a shared olive oil and bread and she proceeded to clear it before it was finished untill she was told. 2 out of the main meals. was really nice.. pizzas not!!! Base like paper thin and bolenese just mainly tomatoes. Not the sort of place we would go back.. and we eat out alot.

The service was excellent and very friendly. The food was high quality, particularly the tuna steaks. Would highly recommend and visit again.

Had a trip to Brody’s As a treat for my niece and nephew. I can honestly say it was the most disappointing dining experience in a very long time. When we first arrived for our evening meal the staff were welcoming and helpful, however this did not remain the case. We were offered scrappy looking menus and made a choice to partake in the early bird menu (I do often judge restaurants on these, as I believe if these meals are good I am happy to go back and pay any price for good food)

Had a lovely evening meal with my husband and 4 year old son. It was quiet at 6pm and the service was excellent. We all chose pizza and icecream (free ice cream for kids) and the food was delicious. We will look forward to returning.

Staying in the area for a few days. Came into Skipton for our 25th wedding anniversary meal. Most of what was on offer was either very expensive or part of a chain. Brody's looked a bit different and had a wide variety of reasonably priced dishes. We were very happy with our choice. The decor is very tastefull. The service has been excellent and the food superb. I had mushroom ravioli and it was devine. Hubby had Bolognese which was very very tasty and not a boring choice at all! We shared the black pudding salad for starter, again delicious. We have had a wonderful day and a memorable meal. Thankyou.

We enjoyed our trip to the very pleasant restaurant in Skipton. Conveniently located in the centre of the town the service by the owners was excellent. Food was good for the price, especially if one goes for the early evening menu.

Visited last weekend , looking forward to drinks and food , my starter came with the wrong dipping sauce , the mains came out with brown tinged lettuce salads ( out of a bag) mine and my husbands steaks were grey in colour ( they looked boiled ) , and mine came with a pepper corn sause that was far too peppery , we were all very disappointed. We were not asked if we wanted any more drinks or a pudding such a shame as it’s not hard to get it right , very over priced , maybe just stick to pizzas

Nice enough place, with some decent 'early bird' deals on multi-course meals. Service is fine, food is OK; not the best, but perfectly acceptable. Certainly worth a visit if passing through.

We decided to eat here as our son is a fussy eater and only likes pizza on a night out. The decor is pretty basic with a wide open and quite bright eating area sparsely decorated.
