Found this venue while on a Sunday drive in Yorkshire dales. Pleasant staff, clean and warm. We had bacon on toast, nice bread and loads of quality bacon. Pot of tea to wet the whistle. Would definitely recommend and will return ourselves

We only called for coffee but enjoyed beautiful cakes as well. It was gorgeous date and walnut cream sponge and also chocolate with orange cake. The interior was soon cosy and friendly as were the owners. The menu for meals looked really good and extensive with specials boards on the wall. We will certainly be calling in again. So should you.

My husband and I stopped off here on our way to Grassington. We were not disappointed! My husband had scrambled eggs on toast and I had the prawn sandwich and homemade chips. The sandwich was awesome, crammed full of tasty fresh prawns and the home made chips were to die for. The young waitress was very friendly and polite and the service was second to none. We will most definitely be returning here on our next trip up to Grassington.

We used to come here years ago and we visited again on Sunday 16 Aug. We sat on a table in the window and the owner asked us to move like two naughty school kids to another table as they were expecting someone with a pram. That someone with a pram never arrived so the embarrassing move and all eyes on us at the time was a waste of time. The food was average I would say, both had the Steak and Kidney Pie with what was described as Shortcust Pastry topping but was actually Suet. I had 3 pieces of steak and 2 small KIdney and my other half didn't have any kidney at all. Veg came in small turins not enough for two as all and chips came in a basket with a doily, tad old fashioned. for a total of £23 for two including the worlds smallest glass of lemonade which was described as a can of lemonade but probably about half a can, it was really disappointing. you at least expect to be full after paying that amount but we were far from it. We chose not to have a sweet as they probably would have been just as minuscule and very expensivewe will not go again in case we get told off by the owner

A warm welcome, good selection on the menu and the food was cooked beautifully. The best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Both of my children polished off their meals and then had a traditional pudding to follow. We all left happy and look forward to a return visit when we're passing again.

We were told by friends to visit Cracoes, We Arrived there about 11.45am mid-week, to have a early lunch before visiting Grassington. .The lunch time menu had a good selection of food. At this time of day, Cracoes was very quiet and we could select any table we wanted to have our meal. After we had been sat at our table for two to three minutes a very friendly member of staff came to take our order. The food was served to us after only a short wait and was excellent, especially the lamb chops which I had and to finish off our meal we all had a proper pudding....Rhubarb Pie and Custard. Everybody was well pleased with their lunch and we will certainly be returning to "Cracoes"in the very near furure

Arrived here at lunchtime after cycling from Morecambe on the Way of the Roses. Sat outside as we didn't want to leave our bikes unlocked but a constant stream of wagons heading to/from nearby quarries was hardly idyllic. Food was well presented and plentiful, friendly owner but he seemed rushed off his feet..

travelled up from spain to experience the route of the Tour de France, through wonderful Yorkshire, stopped at Cracoe's for a cuppa tea... ended up having 2 x toasted teacakes. mmmmm and a hot beef and horseradish sandwich. (glad we only stopped for tea haha) 11.00 am, pouring with rain and miserable. but Cracoe's was a delight, lovely people. fantastic food, will definitely tell anyone I meet to call in. The only thing about pre printed forms is that they sometimes ask the wrong question. Trip advisor, this wasn't a meal. we stopped for a drink, saw the food and had to have some, haha,

Visited regularly by my Sister and Brother in Law, I was introduced to Cracoes a few years ago and have never been disappointed. The welcome is genuine by mine host and the service second to none. He remembers the little things from previous visits and has a friendly word for all patrons. Nothing is too much trouble, The food is very good, always piping hot and tasty, well prepared and presented ( compliments to the Chef ) The Main courses of which we have tried many between us are excellent from the good Old Fashioned Roast Dinners to the Lamb Chops, Salmon,Fish and Chips and Chicken Supreme to name but a few, we have even called here late morning for Bacon Butties and Coffee and these were delicious!!!! The Puddings (again all home made) are wonderful and as full as we are from the main course can't resist having one......The portion are all very generous and I deny anyone will leave still hungry! The Cracoe is a very warm, clean, inviting and comfortable establishment and well worth a visit

Visited Cracoes for Sunday lunch 6th October 2013, two friends. Had roast beef, Yorkshire pudding and veg etc. It was terrific. so were the puddings. Red and white house wine really good also. Lovely staff, good service and it was busy. Good value will definitely be going again and recommend. I used to visit this cafe years ago, then it closed for a while and now reopened and it's lovely. We noticed that other customers were very complimentary about their meals also.

What a top breakfast to set us up for our day on the fells! Neil and his staff couldn't have been more accommodating. 8 of us to cater for, pretty much all with different breakfast requests including full English, a vegetarian breakfast and bacon butties. All arrived exactly as ordered, and all together. Home-made tomato sauce, and top ups of fresh tea and coffee without asking. Kept us well fuelled until we hit civilisation later in the afternoon!

Calling in with our group of vulnerable adults on a walking day out, we did rather spring on this small but attractive café. Each member ordered something different form the simple but varied snack menu, and we were all served quickly and without fuss despite the difficulties some of our people have in communicating. the owner was friendly and welcoming and I highly recommend the place for an unpretentious but good quality meal. The cakes and ice cream were very well received. We didn't sample the main courses although one member had apple pie and custard and pronounced it excellent. worth a quick visit if you are in the Dales.

We ate a late lunch at this excellent cafe today. The food was freshly prepared and the portion sizes were generous. The interior of the cafe has been thoughtfully decorated to give it a homely feel, including the spotlessly clean toilets. My friend and I visited Cracoe cafe as we were visiting the dales. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a lovely gentleman who was very helpful and cheerful. The place was very clean and tidy and looked recently refurbished however the whole place lacked some atmosphere. We were the only people in the place and we felt like we had to whisper as there was no back ground noise whatsoever. The food we had was nice and the coffee was fantastic. We came to pay the bill and we weren't given a bill just told the amount. Call me old fashioned but I like to see what I'm paying for. I understand that there was no till point in the actual dinning area but surely that doesn't mean no bill! The bill came and it was £20.30 for two coffees and two full English. We thought this was slightly overpriced. It was a shame as the location seemed to be ideal.

We have just returned from a week in the Dales, and went to Cracoe's several times during the week. The choice is very good with all food being cooked freshly, and nothing is too much trouble for the owner. As stated by a previous review, the fish, chips and mushy peas are wonderful.Only problem is you will probably eat too much as the food portions are extremely generous! Wonderful home cooked food. Well recommended.

On arrival the pub does not inspire confidence in the quality of food - but it was really very good. I was dubious about the sizes of sunday roasts after reading a previous review - and to be fair, the plates do not arrive loaded with masses of veg or mash. However, we all left feeling satisfied and it really felt like well prepared, high quality food. The steak and ale pie, and steak and ale yorkie had the same filling, which was superb.

Fantastic place. Roll with bacon and sausage was lovely. Really good quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I've been coming here on caving trips for 25 years and always either start or finish the day in Inglesport. Love it. The only thing I'd say... bring back the pints of tea!!! And please don't ever stop doing the tiffin, it is the best on the planet.

Stayed at The Lister Arms for a couple of nights mid week. We stayed in the Lister Barn which is a 2 minute walk from the actual pub. Cosy and warm, tastefully decorated with lovely toiletries - a real gem of a place. The main pub is really cosy, with a gorgeous fire burning all day and evening. Breakfast and dinner here were both really good with large portions. Lots of dogs inside the bar area too which was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Visited as a group of 16 for an 80th birthday celebration. Beautiful place, great service for our Sunday lunch. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and staff did well to serve such a large group in good time. I had the small roast beef, it was delicious and definitely enough for me! The Yorkshire pudding was excellent. I had the treacle sponge and custard afterwards- yummy!! Highly recommend visiting if you’re ever in the area.
