Best place to get an ice cream from, the owners of the boat Nick and Cath are so friendly, their hospitality towards both regular customers and visitors alike to the Town is second to none. You can also buy tea and coffee along with your favourite chocolate bar. Also don't forget Roo she's a lovely little pooch. You know Spring has arrived when you see the tug with all the shutters up and the flag out.

Nice ice cream. We had bubble gum flavour and vanilla flavour. £2.50 each. Cornet or tub. Friendly man selling. Benches to sit on opposite and nearby. Been before, will go again.

My partner and I stopped off for a drink on our walk today. This place is a perfect stop off point with very reasonable prices for refreshments. I ordered a tea and my partner ordered a ground coffee. Once our drinks were made, they were brought out to us and we were provided with a little jug of milk and sugar to put in ourselves based on our amount preferences. Although we didn’t try it, the ice cream looked very nice. I know there’s a lot of coffeeshop choices in Skipton but this place certainly stands out for it’s unique shell, very reasonable prices and service with a smile. Thank you.

Although I didn't partake, others in the group enjoyed their ice creams, which were of a reasonable price. The owner/skipper gave us some helpful advice when we asked about the legalities of boating after a drink or two. ( I can't use his exact words, but he was helpful and amusing at the same time, Thank you sir).

I lived in Skipton for a whole year and it was our number one go-to place for ice cream every time. And the prices are amazing as well!

When we were walking round the river at Skipton, espied this unusual ice cream "shop" so we made our way round over the bridge to the side of this ice cream boat. However, having looked at the prices for ice cream, we decided that they were a little pricey for a single ice cream. They also sold tea, which they bought off the bpat and put on a table on the tow path.

I love to go to this tug boat for ice cream. The woman and the man that own it ( I think they're a married couple) are so nice to talk to while you are being served, the ice cream is delicious and it is affordable for anyone going on a day out!

Stayed at The Lister Arms for a couple of nights mid week. We stayed in the Lister Barn which is a 2 minute walk from the actual pub. Cosy and warm, tastefully decorated with lovely toiletries - a real gem of a place. The main pub is really cosy, with a gorgeous fire burning all day and evening. Breakfast and dinner here were both really good with large portions. Lots of dogs inside the bar area too which was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

We stumbled upon this place by accident & what a discovery! Food & staff - great, don't drive past this place! We were on a day trip to Skipton from Manchester & decided to have a drive around to look for somewhere different to eat....

After driving around the Yorkshire Dale's, we were in need of a drink and snack. We came across this lovely little tearoom and we weren't disappointed, quirky and quaint I would say, very friendly, great value for money too.

Fantastic place. Roll with bacon and sausage was lovely. Really good quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I've been coming here on caving trips for 25 years and always either start or finish the day in Inglesport. Love it. The only thing I'd say... bring back the pints of tea!!! And please don't ever stop doing the tiffin, it is the best on the planet.

On arrival the pub does not inspire confidence in the quality of food - but it was really very good. I was dubious about the sizes of sunday roasts after reading a previous review - and to be fair, the plates do not arrive loaded with masses of veg or mash. However, we all left feeling satisfied and it really felt like well prepared, high quality food. The steak and ale pie, and steak and ale yorkie had the same filling, which was superb.
