Wild Thyme Cafe in North Devon

Four of us popped in today and we were glad we did ! Looking through the window showed it was full but a table of four had just got up so we sat in their seats :) We all had the Breakfast at £11 each. Couldn’t fault the meal at all, plenty on the plate and locally sourced. Really good selection of coffee, tea and fresh orange 🍊 juice. Highly recommended Get a seat and order at the counter. Very pleasant polite service as well. Seating outside. Well done 👏👏

A really lovely dog friendly cafe. Plenty of vegan options and lots of bits to buy such as chocolate and crisps. Service was great and price was more than reasonable. Worth paying a visit to if you’re in the area.

Delicious huevos rancheros and excellent coffee and turmeric latte. We loved the date balls we bought to eat at home. So glad to find this place near to Saunton Sands. Will return!

Stopped here a couple of tines during our holiday and it was an absolute delight! Friendly staff, healthy choices for food and drink and delicious food. Could do with a few more dietary needs options but otherwise fab!

Tiny but welcoming cafe a couple of minutes walk from the centre of town. Very busy but they always seemed to squeeze people in. Charming waitress who managed the busy front of house on her own with a permanent & genuine smile. Lots of people having breakfast/brunch - looked delicious! Very dog friendly. Extensive lunch menu. Free WiFi.

The Wild Thyme Cafe in Braunton turned out to be a delightful surprise. Don't let its location facing a car park deter you. Although our order took a bit longer than expected, it was worth the wait. I had their BLISS BOWL (£11.25) with honey and chili grilled halloumi, roasted peppers, salad, seeds, and hummus. They kindly substituted rice for couscous due to my gluten intolerance. Mia, our waitress, was exceptionally helpful and friendly. 🙏

A must visit when in that part of Devon. A warm welcome, lovely coffee and nice place to sit and chill. Easy parking and next to two surf shops, what’s not to like.

Wildly overpriced, enough is enough with this place. Though the juices are nice the portions have shrunk dramatically, and don't even think about vegan options. Flatbread covered in salad for £10.75...I think I'll go elsewhere! There's plenty of excellent competition in the local area, I can't recommend this place any longer.

Looking for a coffee whilst wondering around Braunton we stumbled across Wild Thyme and it was fabulous. The vibe of the shop and the service were great, the choice of having a cup or a mug of whatever, is inspired and the quality of the ingredients and the heat of the food and drink was a refreshing change, no Luke warm coffee and a limp sandwich here it was lovely .

Called in 3 times in 2 days. Mainly for coffee but couldn't resist their bacon sandwich. Would recommend.

Honestly worst vegetarian breakfast ever - miserable hash browns. And the free WiFi is only free if you sign up and give your data to a third party hoster. I'm sure the smoothies and fresh fruit things are nice but I definitely regret my vegetarian English breakfast

10/10 - would highly recommend. Instant energiser smoothie was unreal :)

This is a lovely cafe. Fantastic coffee and delicious fruit juice combos. Stopped for a pick me up before work and had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Drinks were perfect and pancakes lovely. Plenty of maple syrup and everything piping hot. Bacon sadly overcooked and hard as nails. Service prompt and with a smile but no check back so didn’t mention overcooked bacon. Nevertheless, a very good experience.

Was dog friendly and gluten free but not the best gluten free meals staff were friendly and nice looking decor and it was busy

Cafe was relatively quiet with two staff members working, food came within a respectable time. Bacon was over cooked, hard and tasteless, 2 thin sausage? Would of preferred a large size, everything else was good. Small plate and over priced for what it is, I would be happy paying £6 to £7 not £10. If Braunton has a spoons I'll be stopping there next time.

Waited over 40 mins for food. Drinks came within 5 mins. Food eventially arrived. 2 out of 3 orders were wrong. And one returned and came back wrong again. Won't be back in a hurry.

Wild Thyme, is the best. Lovely food and chilled atmosphere we love it. The porridge bowls are perfect after a cold morning surf.

Never got to try the food, walked out after being totally ignored even though staff were standing directly in front of us. It cost nothing to politely acknowledge customers.

Took over an hour to get food, no warning no apologies even when asked if they had forgotten our order. Everyone who ordered before and after us had finished their food by the time ours arrived. Bit disappointed. Food was fine but could have gone and bought the ingredients and cooked them in that time.

Can't speak highly enough about this great cafe,not serving the usual run of the mill menu,refreshingly different. Went there for the first time today and absolutely loved it

Had a delicious full English breakfast today, very tasty and lots too. The orange juice was so fresh and tasty it was like biting into a fresh orange. Mocha is very good too. Service was excellent with a smile and nothing was too much, thank you, love that dogs can come inside too, win win 😋🐕😁

Went for a sandwich at 1pm ordered about 10past. my wife had to go and ask where our food was at 1.45 as my sugars were getting low and was told it was on its way. At least 2 tables who came in after us were served before us, and one had finished eating. The lady had to come and confirm our order and when the food arrived the bacon was under cooked I was given a free cup of tea but had no real apology or explanation will not eat here again

We visited Braunton just to visit this cafe, having been twice on a holiday a few years earlier. Delighted to find it is still excellent, good choice of food including some more unusual choices. Good coffee too.

Breakfast was slightly average portion wise for what we paid and they used an interesting somewhat lacking in taste chorizo for the ranchos but the atmosphere was great and they use loose leaf tea for the teapot so we wouldn't rule put visiting again

Super venue, amazing menu really well executed. Some creative breakfast options, alongside the classics. Good vibe, great staff with sensible prices. Would definitely be our first choice for breakfast / tea / cake whenever we’re down

First visit in 3 years (due to a COVID break from Devon) glad to see not much has changed, great coffee, tasty breakfast with thick cut bread and lovely atmosphere.

Loved the green juice i had, coconut, lime, kale and more, 3 of us ordered differnt breakfasts all looked fab, my veggie mexican egg dish was beautfully spiced. We had to wait ages, i heard one customer it will be a half hour wait that was when we had been there around half an hour, we were not told of a wait. I guess they are short staffed like everywhere nowadays. So great food, great choices for veggies too, but busy and you will have to wait. This was monday morning not in school holidays, but a sunny day

Walked past this and popped in for lunch. I had the Full English. Steaming hot and really tasty. Price reasonable for quality. Would definitely come again.

Long wait for bacon sandwhich and rock cake no apology. The rock cake had been microwaved!! Asked for just a normal rock cake it was like rubber it came with what i thought was a little pot of butter in fact it was margerine.. I couldn't eat it what waste of money my friend asked for white bread granary bread came out. Certainly wont be returning.

I went here this morning and was twice served a flapjack with ants on it. I complained and was given my money back. There was obviously a problem with the cabinet they were keeping the food in. Rather than taking the remaining baked goods away and cleaning the cabinet out, I saw the staff then continuing to serve flapjacks from the same cabinet to other customers.

This is a beautifully run café that has a wide selection of Gluten Free and vegan options. We had a Mexican bowl and a bliss bowl and they were delicious. Very satisfying and cooked fresh to order. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. Healthy portion sizes for the money. Would definately recommend eating here. @momentsofoutdoors

I can go here for a drink or a bit to eat when I'm out and about with my carer on a Thursday morning. It makes a great smoothie and we have a table outside because I just can't get into the cafe with my wheels (this is such a shame really)

Stopped here for lunch after a long walk at Saunton Sands. It was a cold damp lunch time and this cafe didn’t disappoint. Hugh freshly made BLT and hot tasty Polish baguettes with toasted cheese, mushrooms and chorizo with a spicy sauce. Really good lunch, helpful staff, nice atmosphere.

Great menu with all day breakfast served. The kids loved the options and the food was absolutely brilliant. The best all round cafe for families in Braunton.

We were recommended to visit by a local whilst looking around Braunton. So glad we did. The food here is very tasty, the coffee is very good and the staff are very pleasant. Well worth a visit.

Love you his little café, situated back from the road allowing for some outside seating too, it is a gem of a place. The friendly staff who take counter orders are helpful and hard working. There are toilets available to customers. Wonderful food, good quality, and nice place to relax.

Great little cafe with an exciting menu

Visiting Croyde for the weekend and thought we’d pop into our fav cafe for brunch, lovely friendly girls, didn’t have to wait long for delicious food! Later in the day we fancied a cream tea so we returned at 3pm… the sign on the door said it closed at 3pm….. I thought I would chance it and popped in and said I know you are due to close but any chance you could do 5 cream teas, without any hesitation the young lady (sorry I should have asked her name) said of course no problem! We then had the best scones, clotted cream, strawberry and raspberry jam! What a great team, lovely friendly young girls who didn’t want to dash off after what I expect had been a busy Saturday. I don’t normally write reviews but felt I had to. Highly recommend If you’re in Braunton. Well done and thanks for such a warm welcome, we will be back, just a shame it’s not till next year.

Perfect stop off for late elevenses. Friendly atmosphere and wide range of food and drink. Rock Cake and hazelnut hot chocolate was perfect.

We only had a snack here because it was nearing the end of lunchtime but all the same our food was excellent. We saw some of the patrons eating delicious and different meals, we were very impressed with the range in such a small place. Our great disappointment was that we couldn't get back. Very highly recommended. 👍👍

Had Ethiopian soup of day with warm bread! All food on menu looked great would Definetly visit again! Chocolate brownie to take away just a lovely hour out of the rain in a lovely atmosphere! Visit and enjoy!

Had a lovely breakfast here with lovely staff, felt very homely and community orientated. Had coffee’s, full english, porridge and yoghurt between us. They were busy but not too busy for a smile and a chat!

Top notch! We visit everytime here from Sussex to see friends. Coffee is on the money consistantly, food is great, served quickly and menu has some interesting unique choices. The girls running the place work hard as it gets busy, a large gathering line of customers awaiting opening time is confirmation of quality. Very surprised to read an odd review of customer service, its super friendly imo. Try the Heuvos Rancheros breakfast! Its superb. See you next time

Never disappoints always fresh and tasty every time we visit. Bacon rolls, full English delicious. Hot coffee and friendly staff.

Service unfriendly, waitress put food and drinks that was ordered down on table that wasn't cleared from previous family, very flippant and not warm at all. Used to come to Wild thyme a lot in past years and loved it, this lunch time visit has a million percent put both my mum and myself off of going again. The food was just as good, but mum says the milk was on the turn in her coffee. Sorry, but really disappointed today.

Amazing food for a cafe! Lots of option for vegan and non vegan. Great variety of food from around the world, Indonesian, Mediterranean, Indian and Thai. BEST Nasi Goreng !!! Great vibe, friendly staff , fast service for freshly cooked food. Worth the trip.

We don’t visit here as often as I’d like but when we do it’s always spot on. Feels very clean abs safe during Covid but ultimately yet again the Huevos rancheros is epic and the Mango tango smoothie good enough for my daughter to steal off me.

Wait 2 hours to get served, hate to say it but, avoid if you don’t want to sit around for ages being ignored when you’ve already politely enquired about getting some food/drinks.
