Excellent stay at Loftsome Bridge. Friendly Professional staff. Beautiful evening meal in the restaurant. This place is an absolute gem.

Excellent hotel, wonderful service, room was very good. Liked the surroundings and the pond. Close to the attractions of Selby. The Abbey is well worth a visit. Will be back even though we only live half an hour away by car in Hatfield Doncaster to have a relaxing break.

We had a delicious evening meal & breakfast at the Loftsome Bridge restaurant. I required a gluten & potato free meal. The chef was very accommodating & adapted a dish on the menu for me. The atmosphere is relaxed & staff were welcoming , friendly & helpful. Our room was pleasant with a large TV, comfy bed & lovely bathroom. We loved the historic building too & hope to return soon

When invited to an evening meal by family to celebrate our 60th anniversary we were very excited. However when checking out the menu our hopes went rapidly south. The choices offered for a vegetarian were limited to one. We decided to start with prawn cocktail, (as fortunately we eat fish) but found that the leaves of the little gem Lettuce base were black along the outer edge, so definitely not fresh. Moving on to the main course, once again there was only one choice, which did not appeal, so we had to settle for the fish & chips, which was nice but disappointing that there was nothing else to inspire us. When out for a nice meal in the future we will definately give this venue a wide berth.

Beautiful and peaceful setting. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Great breakfasts. Very comfortable clean room. Great little iron available. So good I bought one when I got home ! Under new management I think. Will stay again for sure when visiting family in the area.

Looked for a place to meet an old friend. Didn't want an overnight stay that cost the earth and wanted our own rooms. Cottage met this brief and was very reasonable @£80 each. B&B. Dinner and breakfast were very nice. The stand out thing for us were the settinf and the staff- reception and waitressing staff on duty were outstanding. Friendly, attentive and just lovely. They made the stay.

Used to be a really good place to eat, great price but not great food. We had to complain about several issues with the food. Also the room was covered in dog hair and the breakfast wasn't great either. Such a shame when it's such a lovely setting

Beautiful, friendly and very clean hotel, and incredible value for money. I stayed here with my family, including my 4-year-old daughter, and we were made to feel so welcome. The room was huge, and we really enjoyed our meal in the restaurant. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the room, but we did go on one of the hottest days of the year! I wish we could have stayed for more than one night!

On arrival we had a warm welcome from the staff. We were shown to bar area for a pre dinner drink, and menu brought to us. The menu was varied For starters we choose Scotch Egg and Onion Bhaji unusual choice for starters on a Sunday lunch menu, but both were delicious. For main meal We had one of the Gammon and one of the trio’s (Beef, Pork and Gammon) These came with pigs in blankets, Yorkshire pudding, 1 carrot, swede mash, stuffing, cauliflower cheese and some roast potatoes. The taste was flavourful and most items cooked really well. Only disappointment was the roast potatoes, looked a bit pale and not much flavour, and Yorkshire pudding could do with tweaking a bit, as a bit soggy. (Otherwise it would have been 5 stars for sure) But service was great, staff friend and enjoyed a good Sunday lunch. Oh and they have a great wine list which is not too overpriced 2 courses £25 (plus £3 supplement for trio) We thought it offered good food at decent prices and I am sure we will return

We called for Sunday Lunch on 14th July, after not visiting for quite a while due to disappointing visits over the last couple of years. We had been regulars for both Special Family Celebrations and for Evening Meals as a Couple. The decor has changed and so have a lot of the faces we knew from the old days. It was pleasant to see a familiar face as we went to the bar. A table for two was available and we were shown to our seats and ordered from the Menu, the food was served in good time and looked very appealing and certainly lived up to first impressions. It was the best Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding we have eaten in a Restaurant for many a year. If like us you have been disappointed in recent years I suggest you give it another try, we certainly will be. We wish the New Manager and her Staff the best wishes and thanks for a very pleasant visit.

We celebrated our 60th birthdays here recently. We hired the restaurant and several bedrooms. We were delighted with everything. Nigel, Lauren, Sue, and Dave were extremely accomdating of my special requirements, and everything ran smoothly on the night. The food was beautiful on the evening and breakfast the day after. Would highly recommend for special occasions, weekends away or meals if your local.

We have just had a beautiful evening meal here at Loftsome Bridge. The ambience was perfect, beautiful dining room, and the lady serving us was very friendly. I had the prawn cocktail starter, and my partner had thai fishcake (from the specials menu) both were delicious. We both had the guinea fowl main course. For desert I had the chocolate tart and my partner had the apple crumble. They also have a lighter bites menu which is 3 courses for £22. Which seems unbelievable value for the quality of food. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and would highly recommend!

We went for dinner on Wednesday 26th, very quiet with 3 other tables. Three of us ate off the senior diners menu as we preferred the choices, one ate off main menu. The rare steak was tough, fish undercooked, chips burnt, mushrooms on toast was stodgy & only cooked round the edges. We were paying the bill & went outside to avoid any fuss as it was a get together & did complain. The waitresses were friendly. Would not recommend 😞

Very comfortable overnight stay, but unfortunately we were not aware of the need to pre-book dinner. The hotel was extremely busy with two large functions to cater for and we were unable to reserve a table for dinner until 8pm. We were then advised by the staff that a delay in service could be expected due to these other parties. It would have been an excellent gesture if a jug of water could have been on the table and perhaps just a few nibbles/snack or bread to tide us over until our meal & drinks were served. The meal itself was very good. Our room was spacious and comfortable and break served efficiently

Stayed for 3 nights, needing a rest. It was super! I’m partially disabled and had Cottage 16. It was so comfortable and clean. Everything about the trip was excellent but what topped it all was the the staff, so efficient, hard working and professional. Nothing was too much trouble, so kind. I can’t recommend them highly enough. A long way for me but I fully intend to come again as often as I can. Thank you so so much!
