Paid a visit to ravenglass on Saturday 4th January with another couple , and finished up in the ratty arms .... brilliant pub , excellent range of ales and lagers and a very warm welcome....most of all our visit was made all the more pleasant by the lady behind the bar .....sorry to say I didn't get her first name but her surname is Denvir.... She's an absolute diamond and can't do enough for her customers, needless to say we will be back for another visit in the not too distant future. Thanks again for a great afternoon....

Booked a table on a Saturday lunch time and glad we did as many tables were booked all 4 of us ordered different meals and all served within 20mins. Great service and choices on the menu and fantastic location to explore Royal Leamington spa.

A hidden gem of a restaurant. Lots of options on the menu. Food is really tasty and well priced for what you get. Portion sizes are amazing and not stingy like you'd get elsewhere. Definitely will return again!

Has been a regular haunt when we are in this neck of the woods. New owners since last time, still to be convinced it’s an improvement. Lots of empty tables, looks like the locals aren’t impressed. Staff were bright and cheerful, menu choices quite limited and expensive, however the nibbles and pie were very good. In the county of the celebrity chef, they will need to work at it to secure long term success.

We stayed for three very pleasant nights and dined twice. An attentive manager supported by his young but professional resturant staff enhanced an excellent experience. Obviously with its good resturant grading we expected good food. We got it - A very good chef resides here. We tried fish & chips the first night - absolutely lovely. The second dinner we went for nibbles to start followed by Cod chowder dishes with new potatoes, amazing special fries & fresh peas with asparo. Very good portions were served and all were perfectly cooked. The french wine we chose was equally good. Next time we visit the area we will stay & dine here.

This place is a true gem!! Friendly staff and the food in the restaurant is simply devine.. The Hake dish is highly recommended. We stayed for 2 nights to visit Avebury and the room was nice with a little outdoor seat as well. Needless to say that I recommend it!

Large group of us so we pre-ordered. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their meal except me. Three of the meals ordered were roast pork. I'm not sure what happened to mine but the meat was overcooked and brittle, my wife's on the other hand was succulent and tender, nothing like what I was served. The third person also had no complaints. The desserts were very good, minor criticism on the rhubarb crumble, two out of the three orders were just crumble but the third order appeared to have to have the fruit from the other two; it was loaded. Overall it was a positive experience and I would dine there again.

Great quiz night with great staff, food and drink. Definitely recommend the carvery and can upgrade the trimmings. Must try!

Stayed 2 nights at Plato’s, myself & my wife. Had a perfect stay. The hotel is clean & tidy & as one of the nights we stayed was Friday night, there was live music in the bar downstairs with a good atmosphere. Great central location in the town. The staff were friendly & accommodating. Good breakfast choice in the morning, we went for the full English both mornings, served with fresh tea & coffee, juice toast & jam/marmalade. Very nice! We would definitely stay here again.

It was not our first visit and we were used to top quality food and service. We were disappointed tonight. Food was wonderful as always. But service was s bit slap dash. We asked for an espresso at the end of the meal and gave up after more than 10 minutes wait when all tables around us were being served. When we paid we were explained that there is not such a thing as a coffee, it only comes a dessert etc. We gave constructive feedback making it clear it was not a complaint and we were told that we were the one to blame for the poor service experience. So… food? Wonderful. Service? To be improved

AVOID this was absolutely the worst experience we have had..... ever !! Food - totally in edible! not that there was much in the counter and no gravy!! No utensils to get food, he used his hands to throw the cold yorkshire puddings in a tray Service - what service !? No explanation offered Restaurant - Tables were sticky Cook/ Owner ?? (definitely not a chef!) the rudest, offensive man, no manners and very angry about something!! Have you even worked in hospitality before??? We demanded our money back and left! We will never ever step foot in the place again, perhaps this is why the place had very few customers!?

We were really impressed with this pub on a busy sunny spring lunchtime. Service was friendly and quick and the food was delicious. Portions were very generous and great value for money. The four of us all had different dishes, all of which were fantastic. We can recommend the cod n chips, pork belly, ploughman’s and hake goujons with prawn tempura. Nice ambience too.
