Whilst on holiday in area called in for evening meal. Quite a varied menu and specials board. The ambiance best described as good old fashioned village pub with a modern take. The Landlady and staff were first class, friendly and attentive. Food was fresh and superb, so good we booked Sunday lunch there. This was also first class, gorgeous beef roast and some of the best custard west of the North Sea.

Had a beautiful meal with my 2 grandchildren, the food was amazing, so much so that the smile on my granddaughter’s face was an absolute picture when the food was brought out, after a very short wait. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, the whole experience was great and if I lived close by and not just on holiday it would definitely be a regular place to eat for me.

Adorable little free house with a quaint and rustic charm situated within a beautifully bucolic town. Out of the way for some, but worth seeking out especially if you have dogs. Food was a simple, small, menu that was done very well with no shortcuts when it comes to the things like gravy and custard. Lovely locals, lovely atmosphere, lovely time. Lots of love from Bella too!

We are staying in the area and drive past the Rendham White Horse daily. Yesterday we thought we'd give it a try for lunch. What a jewel! The pub is lovely, with beautiful and interesting art and classic jazz playing softly in the background. The food was amazing. We weren't sure whether lunch would just be sandwiches, but it is the same menu as dinner, and there are specials, which yesterday included a delicious and authentic starter of Italian-style seafood salad, perfect for a hot summer's day. We loved the newspaper-style menu. We will definitely be back soon!

A very friendly, welcoming local pub that serves some really good local ales. Food is always excellent when I’ve eaten here. I’d recommend the calamari on the starters. Always plenty of options on the specials too. I’d recommend booking in advance where possible as it can get busy. Also worth noting that the pub is very welcoming of dogs. We are very lucky to have this pub on our doorstep.

We found this pub whilst holidaying in Suffolk and decided to visit one evening. Despite not being local and having to ask lots of questions about whether its table service or not, is cutlery brought over and where the toilets are etc, staff were very friendly, happy to answer questions and polite. It's quite a small pub and there wasn't any room to sit inside so we were offered a table in the gardens. I was a little apprehensive sitting out there as the pub have a very big dog outside which is loose and I have a fear of dogs, but I asked the staff how friendly the dog is and they were reassuring and non judgemental of my fears which made me feel better. They said the dog would not approach us and that if we choose to stroke her she's friendly, and they were true to their word as the dog just remained in one place unbothered about us through out the duration of our stay! My partner and me both went for the ribs meal, which was very good value for money as this was a whole rack of ribs for £14.50. Slightly disappointed it didn't come with chips as advertised, it instead came diced which potato squares for some reason, but this is only a small criticism. We ordered the sticky toffee pudding and black forest cheesecake for dessert, these were both very good quality, especially the sticky toffee pudding! A little on the pricey side but we can at least say they were very tasty. We really enjoyed sitting out in the gardens on a lovely summer evening and it was a wonderful way to spend our last night on holiday.

Excellent everything!!! Friendly welcome from the lovely landlady while hubby toils in the kitchen 😉 But it's obviously a Labour of love and it shows. All homemade dishes, my Steak and Kidney pudding was delicious, as was the special of the day chilli with nachos, salad and avocado dip. The beer is well kept, the pub itself is in a lovely setting, with a nice beer garden if the sun is shining. Luna will bark at you to start with, but it's an attention seeking bark, she's very friendly. Luna is the pub dog not the landlady. And lastly it won't empty your pockets....or craftily it will, because you will keep on going back.

Best pub I have visited in ages. Beautifully kept beer and great food at very reasonable prices. Landlady and bar staff were delightful. Excellent place to visit if you are staying at Carlton Meres as it is just a 20 minute walk across the fields and very quiet country lanes so no worries about driving. Check out the public footpath on your OS map. A really easy stroll to a great pub and the highlight of our holiday. Can't wait to go again. Probably a good idea to book in advance if you want food especially on a Sunday.

Occasionally you call by chance in a small public house serving food, expecting to be disappointed. Today my wife and I dropped in at Rendham White Horse and had a great experience. First class meals for both of us. An excellent friendly service from the landlady, quality music playing softly in the background, and an honour to meet, head of security, Luna; a very calm dog with a sense of presence. We have no hesitation in giving a very positive review. Clearly a couple who know how to run a good pub. Well done.

Well readers here I am again reluctantly recommending another fabulous pub with dynamite food. The reason for being reluctant is the more of you that discover how good this place is the harder it will be for my wife and I to book a table. On entering the pub you are greeted like long lost friends & a roaring fire awaits. We were a party of 4 my wife and I and our two friends, we were show to our table and give a broadsheet ( yes I do mean a broadsheet) menus in the style of newspapers of old. The menus had interesting facts, jokes, sudoku as well as a good range of dishes. We chose a large merlot, whisky & coke, a pint of Victoria ale and 1 other ale, senior moment I’ve forgot what it was.. We ordered 3 Sunday roast lambs &a roast beef. I have not included any photos not out of spite but all the photos previously taken are absolutely correct. The food on arrival was plenty full and served on hot plates, we we even given without asking extra gravy ( which was to die for). The food was heavenly massive Yorkshire puds, parsnips, peas roast spuds, gratin potatoes and a large amount of either lamb or beef. ( the slides of beef were thick and tasty ). Deserts I’m ashamed to say we even managed to squeeze in a pud, 2 x ice creams , 1 x Syrup sponge and one sticky toffee pudding which I’m convinced was home made as just superb. We will definitely be coming back..

We visited for lunch on a Friday, having walked over to Rendham from the local Lonely Farm Campsite. We were warmly welcomed a lovely, friendly woman behind the bar. We don’t drink alcohol, so asked for soft drinks, of which there was a good choice. However, the bar appeared to be well stocked, with something for every taste. We both ordered the steak and kidney suet pudding, a dish from both our pasts. The food came without undue delay and was absolutely piping hot and delicious! The pudding was not too large, yet would be sufficient in size to satisfy most diners’ appetites. We were offered the dessert menu, but declined due to the walk back! Our lunch was lovely and we would really recommend a visit to the Rendham White Horse.

After passing by on Saturday I noticed this pretty little pub and decided to call and see if I could book for Sunday lunch the next day.... I was greeted by the landlady and she kindly squeezed me in despite the fact it was Fathers day, the next day. I asked if dogs were allowed and she welcomed them. The following day I arrived and was again greeted by the landlady. She took me to my seat and it was set for me AND my dog. There were dog biscuits lined up for her, a water bowl and a lovely comfortable blanket for her to curl up on. Not unusual at this pub, if you've stated that you have a dog. I was handed the Sunday menu with my drink and chose the beef. It came beautifully served with a separate dish of vegetables and a little jug of gravy. Everything was homemade, no frozen veg or pre-prepared roasties. Delicious beef and even homemade horseradish. I was recommended a glass of Cabinet Sauvignon and it didn't dissapoint. For dessert I had fresh cherries with meringue and Eton mess ice-cream yummy 😋 I decided to have coffee in the lovely garden at the rear of the pub and the landlord( and also the chef ) kindly brought my dog a tasty piece if pork which she devoured. !!! All in all a well run, delightfully decorated and excellent food...... 👌 this would definitely be in my top ten .

We stopped here on the off chance whilst away for the weekend, and all I can say is WOW! We really fancied a roast dinner and The White Horse did not disappoint us! We were warmly greeted and our order was taken quickly. We sat outside in the glorious sunshine taking in the scenery in this beautiful little village. We only had to wait about 5-10 minutes for our food. And what we received was THE best roast dinner we have ever been served at a pub! There was a generous portion of pork, a huge yorkshire pudding and all of the trimmings which you don't always get at other pubs - the potatoes, parsnip and stuffing were spot on! The veg was served seperately in a bowl - fantastic choice - carrots, peas, red cabbage, courgette and cauliflower cheese - I love my veg so I was in heaven! And I loved the little extra touches like the gravy boat and apple sauce which were just brought to the table without us even having to ask! It was hands down absolutely fantastic, I literally couldn't find fault in any of it! We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again - just disappointed that we don't live closer!

Café has been closed for a few days for wall and beam repairs as it is a listed old building but fortunately is now open again. This time back for a cappuccino and a cake.

Authentic Pie, Mash n' liquor in Felixstowe - I popped in here after a couple of beers on the front - lovely pies, good old mash and proper liquor - knife, fork and spoon for the liquor, with vinegar, just like in London SE1 - interesting photos of England football stars and a bit of banter with the owner. All in all a great lunch and long may they thrive in Felixstowe.
