A excellent cafe/restaurant/bar run by Ruka, a lovely Turkish lady where nothing is too much trouble. The food is a good mix of traditional English and Turkish done to a good standard with generous portions and friendly service. When the weather is fine there is outdoor seating on the sunny side of the street. Highly recommended!!

Just had the most amazing dinner this evening, the food never disappoints, can highly recommend the Goulash, and the chicken shish my 3 year old ate just goes to show how good the food is, would definitely highly recommend it to all ages

Went for dinner in aroma mangal , the hot starter of Turkish sucuk was delicious and their grilled lamb shish melted in my mouth and as for desert their baklawa hit the sweet spot. I would highly recommend it.

We had an excellent meal here today. The food and service were both top-notch. Looking forward to going back for an evening takeaway one of these nights. The Aroma Platter for 4 looks very exciting.

Me and my friend visited there today i ordered ham egg n chips the chips was frozen chips and to ham was off. Have elt ill since visit was charged £12.50 for my meal and was very dissappointed i will not be returning as 2nd time have had bad quality food.

Due to a house upgrade, a couple of visits for a breakfast/brunch, have resulted in finding a lovely eatery on our doorstep. Lovely service and all the food was tasty, hot and plentiful. Another few weeks to go, so more visits are in the offing. Can recommend a visit if you are visiting Southdown

Good quality of food and okay service, and I really liked the juices on offer. I feel that portion size doesn't really justify the price though

A friend and I had breakfast here this morning we both enjoyed the food. He had a traditional English breakfast and I had Italian scrambled eggs which were marvelous. My latte was hot which many places don't seem to be able to provide. A great place.

Had coffee was average and a blueberry muffin which was very tasty and it was warmed up nice touch, just let down by dirty cutlery( pet hate) especially with covid still around this was returned to service desk and commented on .

Well where to start food was amazing home made fresh presentation 10/10 The price was unbelievable cheap for the quality you get … And the staff most friendliest people I’ve came across in a long time it was refreshing. And by the time I left it was like I’ve known the staff forever so so so nice definitely gonna go out my way to go again

We ordered our meals for delivery over the phone with Rukiye. Our order was for 2 X Lahmacan, Feta Greek salad, Mixed kebab and rice. Lahmacan is a very thin bread (the thinnest thin crust pizza bread) with minced beef (like bolognaise) on top. I eat this alongside whatever other delicious mains I decide to go with. We ordered two this time as they are too nice to share. The feta greek salad - this was full of tomatoes, olives, red onions and feta and was so large we left half for the next day. The mixed kebab was delicious. Cooked over charcoal, cubes of marinated chicken and lamb with salad, garlic yogurt and rice. One of my go to takeout meals. Chargrilled food is the best, in my opinion. I could eat it day and night. Our meals were delivered on time and piping hot. We can not thank you enough, as we were craving your delicious food! We look forward to our next meal with you guys!

Today I decided to try breakfast at the Cafe Aroma Mangel. A lovely warm welcome, nice warm place on a cold winters day, services was excellent and good quality produces highly recommended. Will certainly be revisiting very soon. Thanks you for my breakfast & hot chocolate today.

Very disappointed 6 pound for bacon double egg and mushroom sandwich, asked for salt and pepper and never got that! My both yolks was dry and the sandwich lacked flavour!

The best all round cafe in the area! My girlfriend and I will go here for breakfast before we go to work quite often. The owners and staff are so lovely and the food is always great! Really good menu, and you can sit inside or out, whatever the weather. Highly recommended! OllieTheGardener

Have always had good, tasty, reasonably priced breakfasts here. But Went in for a drink and cake with my two girls, will not hurry back £5 for a slice of cake and £4 for a tea cake. That's before are drinks we're added to our bill.

Very friendly staff and consistently a very good breakfast. I have tried every breakfast in Harpenden and this is my favourite; classic, perfect portion size and good variety of options to choose from.

I travel around the country daily for work and make it my mission to try and find the best cafes possible for my breakfasts and can honestly say this is a top contender for the best cafe I've been to anywhere. The portions are really good and it's clear a lot of care is taken to make sure the quality of the cooking is a consistently high standard, proper coffee machine too and a really fresh tasting smoothie menu as well! Definitely recommend!

A nice little Italian café who cannot make a proper Flat White coffee, they made it as a milky coffee. Surely we should have standards that make a Latte, flat white ETC all the same wherever you buy them that way we know what we are getting & paying for. Please look again how to make a proper coffee.Based in Southdown Harpenden the village is badly let down by the Council, from the two main railway bridges to the kids play ground its full of weeds, overgrown grass/hedges & the litter build up is a disgrace. I thought about living their at one time but not now, it's being let down badly & this only encourages more social problems to the area. Why is the Council allowing this mess, it's certainly not fair on the residents or those who come to visit.

Me and my friend visited here this morning as previously 2years ago we had an amazing breakfast and reasonable price. Today requested bubble and squeak literally a desert spoon full arrived the sausage tasted like been cooked previous and reheated. Me and friend have been not feeling good since visit. I will not recommend.

Absolute theft. I cannot believe that you are charging £5 each for humus and cacik with no bread or anything to dip in it. £6.50 for two pieces of halloumi. Outrageous and a complete rip off for the price. Do not waste your money.
