The Cross Street Centre in St Albans

Lovely friendly environment. Just a brilliant place and very relaxing.

Toasted sandwich very flat and squashed, thick slices would be better. All ok on a basic, comfortable, and friendly level.

I love this cafe. A gorgeous relaxed little haven just a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of St Albans. Lovely friendly service, toasted sandwiches are always tasty, served with crisps which is an added bonus! Delicious homemade cakes, just had orange and almond, heavenly. Nice little added touches such as a mini trust-based ‘library’ in the corner make this a very personal experience. I recommend avoiding the big chain places and giving this charming little place a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Warm friendly atmosphere, helpful staff. Salads, sandwiches, soup, baked potatoes, cakes. Variety of coffees, teas, squash etc. WiFi. Very accessible beside Christopher Place / Smith's.

Lovely, friendly cafe. Light & airy. Enjoyed delicious Jubilee scone/jam/cream on my first visit. Will definitely go back.

Very nice sandwich, coffe and home base coffee walnut cake. Some one was kind enough to show me around the Baptist church, even though it wasn't open

We often have an excellent light lunch here in the building tucked away in a street behind W H Smith. The menu is simple but extensive and the prices are reasonable; everything is freshly made to order, and cakes and soups are home-made. The place is spotlessly clean and the service is first class.

Esta cafetería/restaurante pequeño afiliado a la iglesia vecina ofrece una selección de platos recién cocinados a precios muy razonables. Fantástico, maravilloso sopas sándwiches en invierno, scones fabulosa y todo casero. Todo el lugar está impecablemente limpio y ofrece sorprendentemente buena relación calidad-precio. El personal encantador, también, dirigido por un equipo líder inspirador llamado Carole.

No se puede encontrar ninguna barista café en el Cross Street centro, pero encontrará un ambiente relajado y un personal amable y algunos muy agradable (probablemente caseros) pasteles y galletas.
