Foods decent but I feel they try to cram too many people in for food when the kitchen can't cope. They said there's gonna be a slight delay but we were waiting for the mains for nearly 2 hours.

Delicious fish and chips, with yummy curry and tartare sauce. Great service with friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommend. We always eat in the restaurant which is lovely inside.

A friend had booked for us and had asked for the bottom room for us twice. On the day we were.put in the.main room. Wasn't a.problem but would have preferred to get the room we asked for. Food very good and the young waitress was very good but can't say the same for the older one. Quite offhand.

Another stay at another Harbour Hotel for a Spa escape. Once more a very good experience. Spa treatment excellent! Dinner was also excellent and very tasty. Our server, Phil, was great.

We always stop here after visiting the seals. Never lets us down. Today the food was fantastic, as was the service. Some of the best pub grub you’ll get anywhere.

Attend a wedding reception at bistro in October, what a fantastic place. The food and the sevice was outstanding . The view from the bistro is amazing and it made for a perfect setting the wedding reception . The staff work tirelessly thought the whole evening and nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend you visit this place if your in the area.

As we were in London for Mum’s birthday to see Les Mis, I thought we’d stick to the French theme and treat her to lunch at L’Escargot. One of my better decisions! From the welcome when you arrive, to the beautifully classic decor, to the delicious food, it really is a special place. We started with the obligatory birthday bubbles and then moved on to the very reasonable prix fixe menu. Amazing French onion soup followed by perfectly cooked salmon for me, and Mum was very happy with her charcuterie plate and mushroom risotto. The service was impeccable and the icing on the cake was the complimentary plate of chocolate snails complete with birthday candle and handwritten postcard. I can see why it’s survived for so long. Will be back!

I have visited on a Friday evening with a friend. The food was great, service fast an efficient. Only downside to our dinner was the fact we have been sat in a small room with lights everywhere (spot lights, chandelier and wall lights) which was an atmosphere killer. We have enquired about dimming or turning some off, which was not possible (all on one circuit), we were not offered to be relocated into an area of the pub with less lights and more atmosphere.

A fantastic night with friends enjoying the cocktail masterclass with Jerome a great bartender and entertainer. Jerome knows his stuff, easily explaining what to mix and how, with a little bit of science too. We gratefully accepted the cocktails he made so effortlessly and then had a go at making our own, Jerome’s teaching style made this fun and easy and overcame any of our nerves with encouragement and humour. Thanks for helping us have a great night out 5⭐️

Great food and service in a very energetic, noisy, old waterside pub.

Very poor, had starter and waited over 30mins for the main course, ( had to ask for it and then it arrived instantly) Christmas dinner was two pieces of turkey (which was cold) one half slice of a carrot ( which was rock hard and cold) one half slice of a parsnip ( again cold and hard ) four halves of roast potatoes, good news here, they were hot and ok, four Brussels sprouts, again hard but they were warm (at least not cold) and that was it ! £32 per head ! Poor service, poor food. Won’t be going there again

We had a lovely evening at Bang in Wells. There were 8 of us; 4 adults and 4 kids. Everyone had a great time and clean plates all round. Not only was the food excellent but the welcome was warm and the service really friendly throughout. Highly recommend.

This was a celebration of my wife’s 60th birthday and was perfect. The food was wonderful, served by informed and engaged staff and our room was very comfortable. I will recommend this to anyone who will listen ! Thank you
