I cannot thank Dreamcakes and Bakes enough for the service, and superb quality of the birthday cakes supplied for my partners extended 50th birthday. The butterscotch and walnut cake and the two chocolate cakes were remarkable. The themes of a band on stage, a choc drip cake and a cake themed around astronomy were wonderfully executed. Everyone who saw them commented how great they were and superbly tasty as well.
Cannot recommend this company highly enough. Thoughtful, considerate, and wonderful service.
The place is now reopen and under new management and it is open to new menu ideas and individual requests. Also we have freshly squeezed juices from fruits and vegetable roots.
Probé un desayuno, un curry africano, un asado de domingo y una ensalada de caja.
Todos estaban limpios, bien presentados y, lo que es más importante, muy sabroso.
Siempre muy acogedor a cualquier hora que entre.
Gran equipo.
Exceptional produce. Pies have the shortest, crumbly crust, plenty of filling and amazing flavours. Possibly the best pie shop in Britain.
Apart from the Redcar outlet, there is another shop at Saltburn Victorian Station. Scotch eggs of various flavours with perfectly cooked eggs.
Recommend this company to all.

My husband and I stopped here on a walk with our dog. Our dog was allowed into the bar area but we chose to sit outside and water was given for her. We had a half of lager each (£5.20 for both) and each had one of the specials - fish goujons and pate (£14.50 for both) both of which were very tasty. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and if in the area I would stop here again.
Had a wonderful meal, freshly cooked to order. Gluten free was not a problem to them as everything is made fresh. Bring your own wine - restaurant is opposite a supermarket if you forget!
One of the oldest boozers in Kirkby is The Peacock Pub ,a pub I always enjoy dropping into as I live only around the corner from it.
A traditional pub ,multi roomed ,pubby decor and furnishings ,big screens to enjoy the sport and lots of seating both inside and outside ,a lovely pub to unwind in.
Dropped in here on a Thursday afternoon ,ordered guinness ,poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle ,my twin brother Ste and I chilled out and enjoyed our pints of the black stuff.
My guinness was really good ,thick, creamy and most importantly served freezing cold ,a proper pint of guinness ,in my opinion the best guinness in Kirkby.
We stayed here for two pints each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a very pleasant time.
The Peacock Pub is easy to locate along Bigdale Drive.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday,midday till 11pm.
Well worth checking out if you're in the area.
Don’t be put off by this being a College restaurant - the kids serving are brilliant and well supervised. The evening specials are brilliant and difficult to get spaces for. Food is really good, well presented and not at all expensive.
