The Oak in Thanet

My husband and I stopped here on a walk with our dog. Our dog was allowed into the bar area but we chose to sit outside and water was given for her. We had a half of lager each (£5.20 for both) and each had one of the specials - fish goujons and pate (£14.50 for both) both of which were very tasty. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and if in the area I would stop here again.

Visited for a family light lunch. Excellent food and really lovely staff. Wheelchair access was easier through the hotel reception as the step is much lower.

We came in here, not having booked, & were seated straight away. The food & service were very good & as they were offering a menu price reduction, we got 25% off! Thank you Thorley Taverns, we do like visiting your establishments!

Brilliant service by very friendly staff. Both of our lunches were very good but my wife wanted me to say that the fish pie was the best she has ever had!! We would definitely return!

Had a lovely visit here this evening with my children , Food was lovely plus a bargain - eat out to help out ! Sat in the window with the most perfect view of the harbour . A very kind waitress Ellis , she helped me with my pram and my children loved her company . She didn’t mind at all taking Us a photo . Extremely welcoming 😃

Breakfast with a guest staying at hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of options on the breakfast menu. Service reasonable. Food very good... we both had full-english. Nice selection - bacon, sausage, choice of eggs, mushrooms, hash-brown, toast, beans, tomatoes. Well cooked and presented, really enjoyed it... very filling and price excellent. Highly recommended to anyone local or passing by as a very good breakfast at excellent price.
