This hidden jewel is not to be missed. Small and quirky, dog-friendly, with seating inside and out with a wonderful, reasonably priced menu, from breakfasts to dinners (with a delivery service), there's something for everyone. Teas, coffees, cakes and desserts all served with a smile. A credit to Canvey Island and deserving of support!

I came in today and ordered a latte to go....removed the lid and there was white bits floating around (obviously the milk had turned) I went back and the girls changed it for me and gave me a "new" one walked away and took one sip and spat it out that same problem again! huge white bits floating! truly disappointed as ive been comming to her for years! 😢 I know these things happen...however for it to happen twice is somthing else!

I happened to be at a loose end in Canvey Island, saw a banner advertising Anita’s Tearoom, and went to see what it was like - it was worth the diversion along the sea wall! I had the 10 item breakfast, and it was served quickly and in a friendly fashion, and was very tasty (special recommendation for having Irish White pudding on the menu which was a very pleasant surprise) Reasonably priced and enjoyable. Certainly set me up for the day!

We had an amazing afternoon tea here this afternoon. This was an amazing little find off of the beaten track. The spread was lovely, there was more than enough for the 3 of us - box to take home what we didn't manage to eat - plenty of options for the veggie in our group... 2 pots of tea and 2 coffees for me and friendly staff, it was all very relaxed and all this for £16 per head!

Bought two small cups of coffee which was instant Nescafé ( or something cheaper!) in water which cost £4. Absolute rip off for such a bad quality drink. Didn’t expect top quality filter coffee but for that price we at least expected something better. Won’t be getting takeaways from there anytime soon.

Just stopped by half way through my cycle ride around the sea wall. I purchased a latte. After reading the reviews I was a little bit nervous. I ordered it and it was bought to my table in 3 minutes. Thinking it was going to be a rushed, awful coffee, I was proven wrong. It was possibly the best latte I have had in Canvey. Very creamy and lots if flavour. Very reasonable and great friendly staff! Thanks very much Anita’s tearooms, I’ll be stopping by a lot more frequently!

This is far and away one of my favourite eating places, and also now to restock my hanging baskets. If only it were closer, I would never have to cook my own dinners they're that good. Friendly, and efficient, and at very decent prices. Would thoroughly recommend a visit on a sunny day to relax and enjoy.

My husband and I decided to check out a his old childhood home on CANVEY ISLAND. We walked along the sea wall taking in all the things my husband remembered from many years ago and we came across a sign for ANITA'S TEA ROOM. We went in for a light lunch and a cuppa. On the approach to the Tearoom the front was a blaze of colour with potted plants and had a real seaside theme inside and out. We ordered two teas and a sandwich each - what a treat they were!! Lovely thick cut bread, very generous and really tasty fillings. The staff were friendly and made us feel really welcome. The whole cafe was exceptionally clean and well run. A big bonus was pleasant toilet facilities. Another plus point - dogs allowed!! This whole experience made our day out very special- would definitely visit again. XxX

I have been here a number of times, and have always been impressed by the friendliness and welcoming nature of the staff. It is a small family business, which caters for the local community with deliveries as well, and the food is always tasty and fresh. Plenty of cakes to choose from, and the occasional home made specials are worth a visit alone. There is always someone there, and the atmosphere is very friendly among all-comers, and conversation is not far away with whoever is there. Last visit I was lucky enough to have the home made rhubarb and strawberry crumble, and it was heavenly. Well worth a visit to support a family business, and you will not be disappointed, I never have, and keep going back.

I was glad to see that Anita's tearoom is still open as we need somewhere to sit and admire the view. Been a couple of times with one of our dogs as the tearoom is dog friendly so its popular with dog walkers. The outside is decorated with lovely arrangements of flowers. There is a good menu which hopefully suits everyone. We have yet to try one of her dinners but have had sandwiches and cakes which have been tasty. Well done Anita.

Having walked past this venue 100s of times with my dog we always thought about popping in. Then in Feb we bought a boat and as luck would have it, we had to use the temporary mooring right next to Anita's Tea-rooms for a couple of weeks! Oh man... was this a godsend. So for the next two weeks we would find an excuse to just go and sit on the boat during our lunch break - because we could go get a take away lunch at Anita's and sit on the boat and eat it. Sausage and bacon sandwhich anyone? Great tasting food - then there are the homemade treats (like fudge...naughty!). Have yet to try a Sunday roast but that is next on our agenda. Love this place. Just a shame we had to move the boat 500 yards away!

Myself along with my family visited Anita at her tearoom. We was pleasantly surprised at the menu which varied from hot breakfasts to afternoon tea. There was something for everyone. The staff were really friendly, polite & nothing was too much for them. Our niece loved the fact that the locals were friendly to her & that it was a dog friendly tearoom & she got to view the boats. We will be going back frequently. The place was in a lovely location, both inside & outside seating, prices were more than reasonable, staff were amazing

My first time at this fabulous place and I'm so glad I found it! The staff were amazing - a massive BIG shout out to Charlie and Jennifer for their incredible service. They were so attentive and eager to ensure I had everything I needed - even popping by during my meal to find out if everything was okay or if there was anything more they could do for me! As for the food - it definitely has the WOW! factor. I was not only impressed by the amount of delicious food served on a platter-type plate, but how incredibly tasty it was. The onion rings are to 'die for' and my side portion of mushrooms - well, let's just say I'm pretty sure I got an entire punnet of mushrooms. Well worth the visit, certainly great value for money, lovely-sized portions (I doubt anyone can leave Izzi still hungry - I struggled to finish mine without success) and above all, fantabulous service. I'm already planning my next very imminent visit!

Eight of us ( four couples ) went there on Saturday evening it was all booked in advance. They had a change of menu which was a slight shame as some had already picked from the on line menu. They never sold any bitter which was surprising but in all fairness to them they soon got some for one of the guys. The staff were very nice and very friendly and the food that we eventually picked due to the different menu was superb. All in all a very pleasant experience and i think we will defiantly return at some point.

Little gem of a find today. 9 of us had a lovely breakfast. Nothing was greasy, all cooked perfectly and good value for money. Staff really lovely, place spotlessly clean and if I was local I would definitely be back. Later in the day we went back for drinks and ice cream. Thanks ladies for a lovely day and for you being so caring knowing the reason we were in the area. 💚

Pathetic show food ok but came out to parking ticket. With my badge I could have parked for free across the rd I had no idea this tiny concrete space beside the pub was chargeable. Having been advised to ignore it by forums I now have court costs of £175 for a crap night in a crap place I came 30 miles to get to. Wont be doing that again. Liberty taking ribbers
