Izzi in Castle Point

My first time at this fabulous place and I'm so glad I found it! The staff were amazing - a massive BIG shout out to Charlie and Jennifer for their incredible service. They were so attentive and eager to ensure I had everything I needed - even popping by during my meal to find out if everything was okay or if there was anything more they could do for me! As for the food - it definitely has the WOW! factor. I was not only impressed by the amount of delicious food served on a platter-type plate, but how incredibly tasty it was. The onion rings are to 'die for' and my side portion of mushrooms - well, let's just say I'm pretty sure I got an entire punnet of mushrooms. Well worth the visit, certainly great value for money, lovely-sized portions (I doubt anyone can leave Izzi still hungry - I struggled to finish mine without success) and above all, fantabulous service. I'm already planning my next very imminent visit!

Food is always fresh delicious.

Visited here for the first time today, amazing Turkish pizza (Lahmacun), great value at £4. Then we went for the chicken shish wrap which was huge. The staff were great. Easy parking in the shopping centre car park.

Fantastic service from this family run Turkish restaurant. Exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Great food at reasonable price with a comprehensive menu. The Turkish bread is a must! Beautiful decor and exceptionally clean. What more could you wish for. Highly recommend a visit to the Izzi Kitchen. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful experience whilst on a walking trip around Canvey Island.

We ordered platters for 8 people to be delivered for a birthday celebration. It turned up on time, was great quality, piping hot and fresh, and there was enough food to feed a dozen people! Absolutely superb. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work. Can't recommend enough.

We went to Izzi for my mum's 90th birthday celebrations as it is her favourite restaurant. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely. The staff were fabulous and made everyone feel so welcome and made my mum feel so special ( as they always do when she goes there). A great place to eat at any time but especially if you want a special celebration meal.

My absolute favourite restaurant. Run by a wonderful family who make you feel so welcome. The food is excellent and the portions superb. I highly recommend this place

Really nice fresh food here with very generous portion sizes and fast friendly service from the staff with a very reasonably priced menu. First time visiting Izzi today, there aren't enough superlatives to describe this place fairly. From the moment we walked in everyone from the table staff to the owners were kind and welcoming, showing a genuine interest in us as people rather than as customers, the food and drink were amazing and tasted delicious - a real hidden gem in Canvey. Go and visit you won't be dissapointed.

Good food, served fresh and you can see how the food is prepared and cooked. Need more than 1 ladies/disabled bathroom though and away from the main dining area.

If I could’ve but no stars I would. Absolutely awful food all came out about 15 minutes apart. My chocolate milkshake was yellow and did not taste like chocolate yet another one came out and looked completely different with chocolate sauce and cream. Was also overcharged. Phoned up when we got home and the lady on the phone hung up after us trying to explain the issues. Biggest disappointment.

Took over an hour for 2 painis, a sandwich, poached egg on toast and piece of cake. Our drinks of 2 flat whites, a latte, coke and chocolate milkshake were finished a long time before the food came. The chocolate milkshake looked more like a latte colour and did not taste of chocolate, there was no sauce or cream with it, although a nearby table had been given a much nicer presented one with both. When we received our food, the sandwich was so basic, presentation was clearly not a strong skill. We had a choice of crisps or salad with the paninis, which we selected crisps - there were about 3 crisps on the plate. When we went to pay, we were charged £2 extra for the crisps with each of the paninis, although that was not stated as extra on the menu. The whole order came in at a whopping £49!!! What a rip off, never going again.

Amazing delicious food, which you get pleanty of. The staff are so friendly and easy to chat with, and easy to approach. Very polite, and the food had so much flavour. I just wish they were in Norfolk!!. Can't wait to go back there at the beginning of next Summer!! 🙂. I recomend lzzi's to anyone. . .

Well...we went in for a cup of tea, and stayed for lunch!! We were made to feel welcome, and there was no sense of rush, rush; the menu is extensive, we were given time to read it, and the food was all freshly cooked, well presented, colourful china, all the condiments we could use, and...hand cleanser on all the tables! The seating is soft, very comfortable, and the place was spotless, warmly decorated, and an overall sense of welcome . The prices were very good too, the tea was perfect, I would feel comfortable going in there alone too, and there aren't many places I could say that about! The best discovery for ages!♥️

Had the best meal tonight. The service was fantastic, such a delightful gentleman who chatted with the children . We were given 4 dips , onion mix and bread on arrival and then the most Delicious food. It was perfect temperature, delish and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended this restaurant. Visiting family on Canvey and it was suggested we dined at Izzie's. So glad we did, the food was excellent, I had the lamb shish and the lamb was cooked to perfection. Excellent service by the staff, really couldn't find any fault other than the music, although very good, was a tad too loud to have a conversation. Thoroughly recommend this establishment 👍

The service is terrible we were. left sitting at the table for over 20 mins when we ask the owners son if somebody could take or order he said in a minute we waited another 5 minutes nobody came for our order so we left .

Awful tasteless cold shepherds pie which had to be re-heated with under cooked peas. Ate half and gave up. Was asked if the meal was ok and I replied 'No' but was just ignored but as walking out the door a lady apologised. I wont ever be going back

Can't rate this place enough.. The bread and dips are out of this world, starters were amazing, we ordered the mixed meats for 2.. Chargrilled to perfection, between 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children) there was plenty left for me to take home for lunch tomorrow 🤤.. along with the great food, Ozzy's customer service is outstanding. So welcoming, and friendly. Absolutely superb meal.

As soon as you walk in the restaurant you are made to feel so welcome. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a modern feel to it and is very clean. The food is excellent and the complementary bread and is a nice touch

The decor is so nice! The place is super clean and the staff were friendly. I had the Mediterranean breakfast which was a large size and was very tasty! Coffee was also lovely and exactly what I needed on a monday morning!

We had breakfast here once we left our hotel. We have eaten here before with family who live over Canvey Island. The food was very hot snd fresh, the staff are very friendly and efficient. The decor is very nice inside and clean and tidy. I would go back again

Service was slow and one lady was rude 2 of us waited ages for meals nearly everyone else was finished their meals before they came out had to keep asking for stuff that was already asked for can't fault the food apart from menu saying Donner was available from 12:30 but when asked for that for dinner was told not until 3 which was disappointing

Have eaten here a few times on the last year and each time the food has been fresh, tasty and plentiful. The staff are knowledgeable, polite, and attentive. Cannot fault.

Ordered for delivery for first time since moving onto the island, and although due to only being 1 just eat driver working on the island last night and food turning up vertually cold, after a call to the restaurant they arranged for the food to be delivered again and I must say it was absolutely amazing. The lamb was tender and very well cooked and seasoned. The sauces were great, salad was fresh and tasty and the bread was delicious. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I absolutely love Izzi's new transformation. The decore looks great and the food and service is the best you can ask for. It certainly is a place to take the family or go with your friends or partner. I can't wait to go back again 💫💞

I took my mother here today for a lunch time treat and could not be more disappointed having had a lovely meal here previously. The waitress was miserable and everything seemed to be an effort. My partner and I had mixed grill ( we waited for what seemed like an age) which was over cooked and served with a tasteless soggy salad. My mother ordered moussaka which, when it eventually arrived, resembled something left on the pavement by a Friday night drunk! We did complain and ordered a replacement meal for mum but by the time it arrived we had finished our meal (what parts of it we could eat) so she had to eat alone. We opted for a coffee which again was sub standard and resembled dirty dishwater. The owner did remove some items from the bill by way of compensation but it was a truly bad experience and a waste of money. We will certainly not be eating there again.

Lovely food, really tasty. I ordered the veggie mix omelette, comes with salad and chips. Nice healthy portion size, I couldn't finish it all! Mum ordered the chicken caeser salad and ended up taking the leftovers home for her tea. Really lovely lunch with my Mum and daughter. We sat outside which was a bit noisy because of the road so next time we'll sit inside. Toilets were immaculately clean which is always a good sign. About £45 for houmus starter to share, 3 lunches, 4 lattes, and 2 florida oranges. Great value. We'll be coming back very soon.

First time having dinner there. Lovely food, going there again.

My family love Izzi’s. My great grandmother came here daily for a sausage sandwich and tea and since then my Nan has took me and my mum here very regularly. Ali will always make an extra effort to come and talk to us and will have my nans strong tea and my mums latte ready before we’ve even ordered! Staff are all lovely and very friendly. They make you feel very special and obviously care dearly about their jobs and our experience. I can’t fault izzi’s on anything! Ps. Their Turkish bread is to die for in the evenings 😍😍😍 100% recommend! ❤️

Recently moved to Canvey and decided to try out some of the local eateries. We ordered a takeout from this restaurant and the delivery time was extremely quick, the food was piping hot and well presented. We will certainly be coming back for our weekly take out,.

Had a fantastic meal in this very lively and welcoming Turkish restaurant. The place was buzzing so the main food order wasn't exactly fast, but the complimentary bread and homemade dips arrived almost immediately and this meant we were extremely happy to wait our turn. Once we ordered mains they arrived quickly. The food and service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Very friendly restaurant excellent choice of Turkish food

I visited today for lunch and ordered the whole seabass grilled with salad (chips were included in the meal but I did not have today). The seabass was grilled to perfection and delicious. The salad was varied, fresh and also delicious with a wonderful dressing. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and very attentive. The chef came to ask me if the fish was to my satisfaction, I told him it was exceptional and thanked him. Another customer passed me and commented on how nice my meal looked, I told him I would definitely recommend it. I will be going there again very soon, in fact I cant wait.

Real tasty traditional Turkish food . Combined with very friendly staff and atmosphere. Will be making this our go to restaurant.

13th November 2021 Lovely food, extremely happy. Previous experience was poor and missing delivery items but a year and half later i gave it a try for the third time and my order was perfect. The izzy special for 3 was enough food for 4/5 people. Food was great, delivery was exactly on expected time on just eat. Have increased review from 1 star to 3 stars. Would be 5 star if this was my frist experience. Thankfully looks like they have got this establishment running properly now! Hopefully many more izzi takeaways to come in the future. 30th Aug 2 days later ordered again after a dissapointing first order. Once again they forgot food items in my order. Ordered calamari which comes with salad and chips. Only recieved salad and 4 rings of calamri for £14.99. Ordered humous and it was all wet and sloppy 😷 This place is extremely overpriced. They seem to rush and mess up alot orders. Two orders in 5 days which needed calling back to ask for rest of my food. Avoid this resteraunt. Ordered food twice and both times they forgot bits with no apology or discount. 26th August Ordered mixed grill, got a chicken shish delievered. I ordered of just eat and its way over priced. Lady on phone very understanding and quick to get me a lamb cooked to be delievered. Problem is foods already gone cold so a poor lunch for £21!
