The staff at wimpy tarpots benfleet are always pleasent excellent at there job. As I can't eat lettuce tomatoes bread rolls. I ask them not to put them on, after all why waste food you can't eat.

Food was great but staff werent friendly, they didn’t even ask how my food was. They were very ignorant at times, I always go to this wimpy and it didn’t look like there usual staff.

Every site says opening hours are till 9pm, arrived at 8.10pm and it was already closed. Not the first time the hours don’t reflect the advertised times!!

Didn't eat in but can see why they aren't many wimpys left in the UK £32 odd for 2 regular burger meals and a kids meals. Service was great, didn't eat in so can't comment on atmosphere.

Had lunch here with work colleagues, the place was clean and well presented, staff were friendly and accommodating.... food was very slow coming out of the kitchen, but was very good.... The waitress did apologise for the long wait, but it did put us almost 40 mins over our lunch break... These things happen, and the quality of the food definitely helped with any disappointment over the long wait... If you like your burgers, then this place is definitely worth a trip 👌

Haven't had a wimpy for quite a while. Never used this branch before. Young lad serving was very polite and informative. They had problems with one of the grills, but we did not have to wait long for our food. Recommend this restaurant.

I enjoyed my food (wrap and chips) which was tasty, and arrived quickly by helpful and polite staff.

I mean, it's wimpy not the ritz, you get what's on the tin-exactly what you need when you choose to treat yourself to a wimpy. It's all about the team here. Dani, Emma, Jane and that lovely chef. Got me through my maternity leave these guys. ❤️ Revisited today and still wonderful. Didn't catch the names of the other servers but they were brilliant too, even when my toddler made a royal mess 😁👏

They burnt my food and had no milkshakes then I was lied to and told that my replacement burger was £9 the same price as the milkshakes would have been but in reality it was only worth 3.55 so they stole my money. When I phoned up to complain the chef said that's how the burgers come and had nothing to say about lieing to me about not giving me my moneys worth and he was very rude about it and hung up on me twice. I'd not recommend anyone to spend their hard earn money there as for the price I at least expect it to be cooked properly. Shame on you wimpy. I usually love wimpy but will never use the Benfleet one again I'm very disappointed and still hungry as I can't eat what was delivered to me if looks messy burnt and soggy.

I'd rather of given my money to a homeless person as long as they didn't buy Wimpy in benfleet. Other Wimpy are pretty nice but not the Wimpy in Benfleet. The new chef is rude and can't cook he spends most of his time on his phone. Shame on you!

The food was excellent. However, it took over an hour from ordering, to meal on the table.

I've popped in a few times on my way back from London and found the service was excellent and the food was cooked and grease free however my last vist I came in with my Granddaughter and daughter and ordered double egg double bacon and chips for myself which was actually covered in burnt oil and ohhhhh so greasy, my daughter ordered double cheese burger fries ashbrown etc. THE bun had inprints of the person who cooked it and the burger was not cooked🤢 sadly I wont be going back to this establishment again. I used to love a wimpy as a kid and thought I'd found it again.

Burger didn't have an expiry date

My boys first visit and they absolutely loved it, my boy ate his first ever burger and has not shut up about it since. Really nice to see the Wimpy of today is the same great meal out treat that I used to enjoy with my dad years ago.

Came here for the first time on Saturday . The last 2 Wimpy’s I’d been to since Covid I was really disappointed with , limited menu , dirty restaurant , toilets and miserable staff but this was definitely 3rd time lucky ! The restaurant was exceptionally clean , the waitresses was very welcoming and efficient , the food came up quick , plentiful and hot . I used the toliet which again was very clean . I don’t normally take the time to write reviews but felt this restaurant really deserved it .

First time trying the vegan burger with vegan mayo. Tasted fantastic! Had peppermint tea there. Partner loved the quarter pounder. Very clean building. 3 professional staff working together to cover all tasks. We hadn't been in a Wimpy in about 3years. Very impressed. Not so impressed with Basildon Wimpy where we went first. Website said open 9-3, it was shut!

Always decent food for what you pay. Service could be a bit quicker but very friendly. Would love to see aoke gluten free options. I have the chicken breast with salad and chips as I've heard the chips are GF but they dont add to their menu. Can you not get some gluten free buns? X

Haven’t been to the Benfleet Wimpy in a while.On tonight’s meal won’t be going back anytime soon. Staff were friendly as always, food was sub- standard my, beer was at room temperature, pancakes were stale, he only good thing was the chips! Had three adult and one child’s meal + drinks ( warm Stella and Magners) Total £45, definitely not value for money.

Visited the wimpey on Dec 6th... been going to this wimpey for many years. This morning when I got to the door I realised I didn’t have a face mask.. I spoke to a young lady at the door to ask if they had a spare mask... she said no we don’t have a spare mask and you have to wear one walking to the table... which was 5 to 6 yards away..the restaurant was empty, she said I wasn’t allowed in and sent me away. I understand the rules, but sometimes some common sense needs to be applied. Over zealous covid rules being applied by children serving, cost your business money today.

Limited menu now ,less for veggies, but food & service as good as usual, chef & staff brilliant. Spotlessly clean & Covid safety rules adhered to.

Unlike others who take photos and say it needs "repair" when Wimpy was obviously changing and adapting because of Covid, and moaning about paying £2 for a cup of tea (You're paying for the service not just a t-bag and hot water you moron) I can't fault this place, service is always quick and friendly, food is always cooked fresh, and no other burger can beat the half-pounder with cheese! Nice to finally eat out again, they've done a great job with the new design to ensure customers safety, might not be as colourful as it was, but it looks clean and modern. Great job! Look forward to my next visit.

Wimpy, a total blast from the past that has been brought up to date, unfortunately the prices have been brought up to way beyond inflation! I found the food nice, but, expensive. Whereas Wimpy (in my youth, admittedly) were a real contender in the 'burger market' however now it is an expensive meal, better experience than Maccy-d, eg, plated meals etc which may excuse the price a little, but I personally believe Wimpy has become expensive 'treat' for someone looking for a burger and milkshake.
