The best restaurants serving British food in England

Have came twice during our short stay in dulverton, both times absolutely perfect and lovely service

We visited the Chetnole Inn by pure chance. Feeling peckish, saw a sign off the main road. What we found was a friendly village inn with great home cooked food at a reasonable price.

We didn’t stay in the hotel but had a lovely birthday celebration dinner in the restaurant. I’d recommend it for a nice meal out when visiting Whitehaven. The staff were all lovely and the food was really delicious.

En primer lugar, The Brighton ES UN PUB no un restaurante y NO sirve comida. Dicho esto, los clientes son bienvenidos a traer comida - hay una excelente tienda de pescado y patatas fritas cerca. Hay una buena mezcla de personas, incluyendo residentes locales, turistas, personas esperando un tren o bajando de la estación de tren. El estado de ánimo del pub cambia según el día y la hora - un gran lugar para una pinta tranquila, reunirse con amigos y participar en concursos de pub o escuchar música en vivo, dependiendo del día. Soy un 'habitual' en el pub y lo hice mi local hace 20 años y nunca he mirado atrás. El personal es muy amable y amable. Great lunch, definitely worth a visit.

A warm welcome , food was great , pool table , darts , free parking , reasonably priced .. we enjoyed our visit we wish the couple who have recently taken over all success

Stayed in the area for the weekend and booked for lunch. Asked for a high chair during the booking and it was ready at our table. Whilst on the pricey side, the food really was lovely. The kids fish and chips was a decent portion size and so fresh. My wife can’t eat gluten and they had lots of options on the menu for her. She also had the fish and chips which was one of the best gluten free meals she has had. Thank you for a nice meal and great service.

Great evening. Good selection of ales on draught, an IPA, a bitter and a stout, alongside lagers and cider. Intimate setting for live music which enhanced the atmosphere. Friendly staff and regulars.

Popped in for a quick lunch on a dull Saturday in January 2025. Wow, smiles from everyone and great food at a fantastic price. Great service, couldn't have asked for more.

Best meal I’ve had in ages. Staff were helpful and friendly. Pub was busy but the food was superb. Would love to eat here again

The carvery was excellent just like old times with plenty of everything and good service. There were different of us and we did not have to wait would recommend.

Una joya absoluta de un lugar. Esta es mi segunda vez en Bank y es brillante. La calidad de la cocina, ingredientes y servicio es de primera. Me encanta que no tengan sal y pimienta en la mesa, siempre una señal de que los chefs son lo suficientemente hábiles para sazonar perfectamente. No soy vegetariana, pero me quedé impresionada por el plato de puerro, el plato de brócoli, el plato de Celeriac... En realidad también me preocupa compartir que el tiramisú de cereza ahumada era una porción enorme y ridículamente bueno. Un knockout.

Great little restaurant. Super food and wine, friendly service to us and our dog! Our only challenge was that the portion sizes were very generous for us, but we took the remainder home to enjoy again. Would thoroughly recommend. Lots of GF options too.
