Homemade minted lamb pie delish , was bit disappointed that it was minced lamb rather than chunky but other than that 100% delish proper homemade with beautiful pastry. Deffo go again next time over this way. Lovely staff, freshly cooked food and reasonable prices.

This is a gorgeous inn with the most friendly attentive service and such a calm, warm and cosy atmosphere. The food is such good quality with amazing tasting vegan food, full of flavour. We were so lucky to find this place and will certainly be back. Thank you for the exceptional hospitality 💕

Visited today (06/11.24 ) for the first time in over 30 years and found the service to be friendly and efficient. Good menu and although quite busy the food arrived in good time and well cooked. Land chops and Lamb steaks on the menu which is rarity these days. The Lamb steak was a good size compared to supermarket lamb steaks . Good range of drinks at prices that were more affordable than some other pubs in the area. As a group of 4 wee count fault it . Opening times a tad restrictive and not opened any bank holidays. Best book.

Firstly, the service was great and our waitress excellent. Unfortunately, the food was poor with tiny portions - we waited 45 mins for it. Upon chasing our food, we were told the wellingtons take 30 mins (not mentioned on menu or at time of order - prob would’ve ordered starters if we’d been told), but they were made of shredded shin meat and were tiny - smaller than a fist, however, they tasted good. They came with a smear of cauliflower puree (which is a cheap ingredient), a small spoonful of cabbage and one, small oblong of potato, described as confit, but not crisp on the outside or soft in the centre and had clearly been reheated. We also ordered the bucket of fried chicken. This tasted reheated from frozen, was dry on the inside and soggy on the outside - did not seem fried. The burger was great. I get it’s a busy time of year, but it felt like the kitchen were cutting too many corners. Great effort by the wait staff who are obviously at the forefront of dealing with complaints from a kitchen who, certainly on this day, did not deliver.

Went here on the 8/Dec for a roast dinner, the meal was very tasty but unfortunately it was luke warm, not hot so that was a little disappointing You've only looked at my bad reviews, I've left some good reviews for restaurants and other services, I've never had an issue with your pub as I've been a few times and had very good meals. I shouldn't have to say my meal is cold, can I have another, when the minimum standard should be the meal is hot!

I was staying local at the Wortley Cottage Guest House a few miles away, and the owners Tony and Sue, mentioned how good the Travellers Inn was and they were not wrong. I called on the speck and I was lucky to get a table, as loads were reserved and I can see why. They have a good selection of cast beers (a shame I was driving and couldn't have a pint). The menu is good, with the typical pub food, but also plenty of different food as well. I just went for a small gammon, as I heard that the portions were large, and I am glad I did. The gammon was a good large piece of steak and not the circular stuff that some pubs dish out. The chips were hand cut, proper chips not the frozen one, that everyone sells. The staff were helpful and plesent. Would I return and recommend. Definetly. If you like my honest review, please follow me as I review on a regular basis.

Having been through Moreton countless times we popped in for the first time at the weekend. We had a breakfast and it was cracking good quality food and not kept hanging around with the service. Tables were cleared and cleaned quickly after customers left. Glad we popped in and will certainly return.

The star of the show was an Old Fashioned made with care and pride by Matt. This bar is a great place to sit and people watch with a large selection of pleasant drinks, lots to choose from for every palate. My partner is very partial to bright and fruity flavours, I’m a fan of dark liquor. I tried a few pleasant signature cocktails but decided I wanted a classic - which can be dangerous in a “trendy” place. However, I’ve got to say that Matt delivered a superb classic when I ordered an old fashioned. Full marks.

Five of us booked in for a double celebration and were not disappointed as a very special occasion unfolded. The atmosphere, standard of service and quality of the food were top-notch....full marks to Roy and his staff! The Crown has built up a deserved reputation for excellence and, importantly, consistency. Christmas lights twinkling merrily along Morecambe seafront provided an attractive backdrop as we made our course selections from a. wide-ranging and tempting menu. We all agreed that our respective choices were first class, helped down by a couple of bottles of an extremely drinkable red! All in all a great night and wonderful company.
