Friendly pub, great food at very reasonable cost and motorhome overnight available after drinks or food ordered, highly recommended.

Needed a room at short notice on a Thursday evening walked in and the staff couldn't do enough to sort this for me. Got settled in then had a pint and some food, the food was spot on, the service fantastic and the beer good enough to warrant three pints. Thank you for sorting me out.

Friday night 5th January, had 40th birthday celebration in the function room for 20, many thanks to Pete and all of the staff,we had a fantastic meal and evening 100% service. Highly recommended

Absolutely disgusting. On website info kitchen closed 2:30. We went here 2:05 no food to order. They said too late. We travelled with child. And that is unacceptable. Someone should put clear information no food from 2pm not kitchen closed 2:30

The Quicksilver Mail hosted our works Christmas Meal this year. There were 23 staff members all of whom really enjoyed the evening. Food was superb, great selection of beers and ciders and of course the service which was spot on. Looking forward to visiting again in the summer for a skittles evening. We held my fathers wake at the QuicksilverMail. The staff were fantastic, supporting us with the planning, offering a great package and running things on the day. It was all seamless. Had an amazing Sunday Roast. The beef was so tender and delicious. There was a large range of vegetables offered and plenty of them. Defo will be back again. The staff were so friendly and helpful too

We have driven past the QSM many many times but have never made a visit there. On Sunday we finally did. Our grandson wanted a roast lunch for his birthday meal and this pub did not let us down. Friendly staff. A great meal with more vegetables offered should we need them - we didn’t need them as the portions were ample. We will definitely return to try other offerings on the menu

Such a great afternoon at the Quicksilver Mail with 30 friends. Food is amazing and puddings are to die for. Big room is decorated so lovely and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Definitely recommend for large or small parties. Thank you

On our second night tried the £10 specials menu of home cooked food. Lambs liver and onions with mash and peas was quite tasty but not as tender as anticipated. Pork in cider with cream and mushrooms was very nice, tender meat and tasty. Then shared a dessert as first course quite filling, brownie stack with ice cream was very nice.

First time at the quick silver on arrival very friendly and helpful plenty of room for our family of 12 after drinks food arrived quickly looked amazing kids meals were brilliant with free ice cream 2 steak meals with free bottle of wine staff couldn’t do enough for us meal was delicious prices good not over priced plenty of food and stayed hot will definitely be visiting again especially for a Sunday roast thank you quick silver staff for making our daughters birthday enjoyable

Recommended as a venue for a funeral wake. Kat and her team could not have been more helpful, taking all the stress out of making the arrangements. Everything laid out as expected in the separate function room. Excellent, plentiful buffet, friendly staff and reasonable cost. Would highly recommend.

On the 12th August 2023 me and my wife had this venue for the wedding reception. We had several meetings prior to the date with Kat who organised everything for us. She is an amazing caring lady that does as much for you or less if required for the function. Each time we were offered a free drink which you certainly wouldn’t be offered at other places . The room was amazingly decorated and the food 10/10. All our guests were amazed how good it was and had a lovely time . The cost in total was pretty good and we truly recommend this pub to anyone to hire and eat in . The landlord a very down to earth man and very helpful. The most touching thing was when me and my now wife entered the room. We were greeted by Kat and she was a bit overcome with emotion to how nice they done the room . She is so dedicated to her job so well done all at the quicksilver mail

We had our wedding reception here on the 12th August and it was just the most perfect place ever. Kat, Pete and the team were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and the room looked amazing! The food came out in huge quantities and was delicious, everyone was very full and happy! We can’t thank everyone enough, you went above and beyond our expectations and made our day very memorable and enjoyable. There aren’t enough stars in the universe that could rate this place! We held a wake here for our mum. First class service, everything was taken care of. Food was fab, background music was perfect and screenshow of memories was wonderful. Thank you Pete and your wonderful staff.

14 of us were at the Quicksilver for my sons 21st birthday family meal. Booking was easy I called and spoke to Katrina who sorted everything out. On the night we were in the function room which had been decorated really lovely for us with birthday decs. We were also ok to take our own helium balloons. We were greeted warmly on our arrival by friendly staff and had preordered our meals so had time to relax and chat with a drink whilst we waited for our starters. All the food went down a treat leaving everyone happy and the staff were friendly and attentive. ! Katrina had also made us a wonderful birthday Oreo cheesecake which was fantastic ! We will definitely be back and would highly recommend .

We’ve eaten here many times in recent weeks. We never return if we’re not satisfied. The chef here is very consistent with all his meals even under pressure of a full restaurant. We honestly can say the steak meals are absolutely amazing value and very competitively priced considering the trimmings on the plate. Very tasty creamy peppercorn sauce and a decent amount available at a little extra. Pete and the team of always welcome and serve with a smile and go the extra mile to ensure your happy and have everything you need. We regularly stay here in our motorhome with no charge if we use the pub for a meal and a drink. If your around on a Sunday the famous roast is a must try with beautiful proper fresh vegetables and succulent meats. Well done to the team for all your hard work. Meet up with friends for a meal out at the quicksilver. What an amazing meal I’m now in a food coma from over indulging because the food was sooooo scrummy. I’d highly recommend a visit food was great fresh and tasty with puddings to die for. Went to this pub for the first time having tried a lot of other pubs.was a bit apprehensive as thought it was a drinkers pub and maybe a bit down market.But how wrong was I staff very friendly and food was excellent and very reasonably priced would definitely go there again and at least it doesn’t come out before you get back to the table so you know it’s cooked to order.

Another delicious Sunday lunch with our family today at the Quicksilver. Chicken for three of us, pork for me, all with all the trimmings, including cauliflower cheese (prepared Al dente, just as we like it) and fresh veg on tap. Egg, ham and chips for our son. Perfect. Thank you.

we have been in this public house a few times and now try to get there at least once a month, never had a bad meal always a roast normal size as the large is just to big, meat always good veg cooked just right plenty of pots and always a batter, staff pleasant and always polite, thank you

We visited for lunch and the ham egg and chips I had was very good. I followed this with the Quicksilver mess sundae which was really yummy. The cost was very reasonable and the staff and the landlord were friendly and efficient.

Social skittles team building evening for 30+ with hot buffet was a fantastic success. The staff were extremely helpful and could not do enough to accommodate everyone. The hot buffet was great value, full of flavour, tasty and plentiful but the deserts were to die for. My thanks to Pete and his incredible team for making this a great evening, we will definitely be back.

I have been here on a number of occasions, mostly for Sunday lunch. This is excellent both for quality and value. There is always a choice of 3 roasts, sometimes 4, in 2 sizes (the small is always enough for me) with plenty of vegetables, and (something which many places cannot grasp) served on very hot plates - nothing worse than hot food on cold plates. The staff are always pleasant and cheerful. There is plenty of parking space. Recommended to anyone, but best to book in advance. There are also early evening deals, bargain lunches and other offers during the week. Incidentally, I rarely give 5 stars to any place!

The Quicksilver Mail hosted members of our family attending a late Summer Wedding in the area. Before the Big Day, a group of us met for some drinks and food, which was great. it was the day after the wedding, when the Quicksilver really excelled, laying on a delicious Somerset cream tea for around 30 of our guests who'd stayed on to continue the celebrations. Landlord Pete gave us free reign to use the function room, with the Skittle Alley, so alongside the cream teas, some hungry guests also had Sunday lunch, with teas and coffees on tap whenever we wanted them. Nothing was too much trouble. Later, some of the family party stayed on for Dinner, which again was prepared and presented just as your Mum does it, with all the trimmings, A perfect end to a perfect couple of days. Thank you!

Our first visit and won't be the last. We wanted somewhere different to eat lunch that isn't in a large chain and doesn't serve ping ping meals. An absolute bargain for two meals with drinks for less than £20. There is a good variety on the menu and not all served with chips. Plus a very warm welcome on arrival.

Well I have read some of the reviews and I am amazed by the review that said Thatchers gold was bad.. this is my local and I love the Thatchers gold and it’s as good as it gets..❤️ The food is fantastic pub grub and we eat here a lot this is one problem with Trip Advisor people can be Keyboard Warriors and never complain at the time and right the most pathetic crap on here so THE QUICKSILVER MALL keep doing what you do we love you...❤️

I stayed the night above this pub and enjoyed a couple of pints of real ale in the bar as well as sampled the food, which was well priced, tasty & very sizable. The landlord was friendly.

Top food, great customer service and lovely friendly atmosphere plus desserts to die for - I had the Jaffa cake cheesecake ( photo uploaded ) best dessert I have had anywhere. Highly recommended.

I can't thank the landlord and staff enough . We held a small family gathering here , and it was perfect for our needs. It was a friendly atmosphere with lovely good quality food . Would recommend, for functions even have a bigger room if required.

Myself and husband called in on the route home to see if we could get a roast. Well what a great decision as you could not fault it for taste and value. I had large beef and my husband had large combination and you could say the description was false as they were extra large and enormous !!! All the meats were lovely and tender. Will definitely be back when next in the area. Very friendly staff .

I had a marvellous time! Pete and his staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. Pete was always genuine with help and advice when requested which contributed to making this evening so special. Many of our guests were impressed by the Quicksilver as a venue. Band members and friends who stayed over were very positive about the accomodation and fab breakfast.
