I tried the salmon and it was a perfect dish. The fish was perfectly cooked and a salad went with it superbly. I feel fortunate to have such a place nearby to me. To sit by the fire with a whiskey on a cold winters night is wonderful.

Whilst pet sitting in Finstock I went to the Plough Inn for Sunday lunch. Well, I cannot recommend more highly... the menu almost made it impossible to choose, but I eventually settled on the roast beef & yorkshire pudding. Deliciously tender and I am almost ashamed to say I cleaned the plate... 😋😆 Very welcoming staff and will definitely return, 5 stars from me 🤩❤️

Visited for Sunday Lunch whilst staying in the area. Beat Sunday lunch I've had - meat succulent and tender, lots of veggie and lovely roast potatoes, all with lots of gravy. Service was brilliant and fast. Very dog friendly. We returned to eat on Tuesday evening - which was also wonderful. Best to book to avoid missing out on their wonderful food.

You will not find better food, you can spend twice as much and not find anything as beautifully cooked as the meals here. My wife & I stayed at Treedwellers over the road from The Plough (another MUST GO) and were told to try the food at the plough. It’s a quaint, idyllic Cotswolds pub, welcoming people & dogs alike. The cosy surroundings are fantastic, but the real reason to visit is the beautiful food. If high end pub food is wheat you’re after, this is where you want to go. We had cider, coke and 2 courses each and it came in under £80. The value for money is fantastic, and I cannot emphasise enough, how amazing the food is, given the reasonable prices you pay. If you are staying at Treedwellers, or in fact anywhere in the area, the Plough is somewhere you have to try. Also, I should mention the great service we received. We wasn’t rushed our to get the next customer in, all the staff were friendly and attentive. 5/5 without any doubt!

Guy who is the publican is one of those remarkable people who has a natural ability to connect with positivity and listens to understand your needs. These are the qualities you need as a counsellor but as a publican, it’s brings about a great first impression. They say you make one in the first 8 seconds. I now take my tour clients here as part of my standard Cotswolds tour. Their Sunday roast is amazing My clients agree with me, great food, great service and a great publican

Really lovely friendly pub with great atmosphere. The food choice was great and all really fresh and tasty. We had a fantastic meal. It does get very busy and we had to wait a long time for our desserts to arrive , we also got given the wrong bill. However both these things did not ruin the evening and we will be back. As the bar gets busier I think more staff are needed.

We visited as a family this week and had a wonderful dinner. We were warmly welcomed by both the landlord and the locals (with their lovely dogs) I had the steak which was melt in the mouth and my wife had the venison loin which was amazing. Deserts were equally tasty as were the local real ales! Honestly, I can’t recommend The Plough Inn enough.

We stayed in one of the new Pods at the Plough in Finstock over the August Bank Holiday with our grandchildren and our little dog. We had an absolutely fantastic time, we all enjoyed staying in such unique and 'quirky' accommodation. Our grandchildren (aged 9 and 5) absolutely loved it. There's loads to do in the local area - great walks, fishing, Blenheim Palace (The Adventure Play Park and the Whomping Willow tree from Harry Potter!), Pottery, Punting - I could go on! We ate in the pub on the Saturday night - loved the quality of the food and the relaxed atmosphere that was so welcoming for not just the adults but the children and our dog as well. Our hosts (Guy, Jordan and Emily) were just perfect and nothing was too much trouble. The pod was exceptionally clean and equipped to a really high standard. First timer and the experience was five stars all the way. I had the meaty breakfast which was brilliant and fresh and loads to eat. My daughter had the avocado on toast with a beautiful poached egg. Again it was excellent. We loved the decor and vibe of the cafe too. Service was superb and it really is dog friendly too. You must visit.

We loved it. Perfection location and the quintessential English pub. Outstanding food and service and the ambiance, decor is so wonderful. The highlight of our Cotswolds trip. Near to Jeremy Clarksons new pub as well so this little area is the perfect spot for a weekend spent in the pub. Well done Swan.
