The best restaurants serving British food in England

If you have a food allergy don't bother. Unhelpful staff who didn't try to find an alternative. Did not listen when ordering and got order wrong. Disappointed again.

Después de un día ajetreado en el trabajo pasé por esta tienda de patatas fritas alrededor de las 7 de la tarde solo quería algo rápido y fácil opté por salchichas y patatas fritas... ... ... gran error cuando llegué a casa las patatas fritas parecían como si hubieran sido cocinadas 4 días antes y se recalentaban todos los días ya que eran marrones algo quemados y como cuero de bota vieja asqueroso la salchicha no era mejor y estaba fría de arcilla pagué £ 5 : 70 por esta mierda todo el lote se fue a la papelera. Lo habría hecho y debería haberlo devuelto, sin embargo, después del día que tuve no me podía molestar, así que decidí volver a la mierda lo servido dejando un 0 sobre 10 reseña... . . Nunca oscurecería sus puertas de nuevo absolutamente vil.

This is part of Rudd's Hotel - but they try and keep the reviews separate - with good reason. Lulworth Cove is beautiful. The pretty courtyard to the hotel looked a great spot for lunch and the menu looked perfect. We arrived at 12:45 and went to the hotel bar to collect menus and order. We ordered drinks but were told they had just taken a big food order and were waiting for some deliveries and would take our order in 10 or 15 minutes. When we went back later we were told the owner/chef was expecting a delivery of wood and they wouldn't come until he paid them hence a further delay. "It's like Fawlty Towers here" said the girl behind the bar. At 1:15 they announced that they were now taking lunch orders. We ordered Calamari and chips for my daughter, moules mariniere and chips for my son, a crab sandwich on brown with halloumi fries for my wife and seafood paella for me. Total cost £64.50. We were told we would be called to the window of the kitchen when the food was ready. In the meantime I went to the loo - a trip I would only recommend in the most urgent of circumstances. They didn't have brown bread (my wife won't eat white). As he pushed to polystyrene boxes of food through the window to me the chef explained that they didn't have halloumi fries so he had put in some spring rolls instead. The calamari was inedible. As I said to the chef - they could have been used as weapons in martial arts they batter was so hard. We also failed to detect any squid, The seafood paella was also inedible. They had lined the polystyrene box with tin foil because it was swimming with liquid. It was also bland and just awful. I complained to the chef who offered to refund the money for the paella - £15. I would have argued and demanded a full refund - but we were on holiday and it doesn't take much to embarrass an 11 and 12 year old - so I let it go. The girl who took our order came and put the refund back to my card. I have just got back home and checked my account and instead of refunding me £15 they charged me another £15. You couldn't make it up.

Was not impressed with the food. I do not understand why a£1 upcharge for a modified tartar sauce and fries? I thought fish and chips are eaten with malt vinegar and not lemons!!!!

If you like to be shouted at or ignored in equal measure by the groutesque "staff" The fat Miss Piggy lookalike is pure evil. I'll explain about that utter guttersnipe Have no TV. Barely any heat. Cracked bathroom window. Worms in the toilet. A door that doesn't shut unless pulled within an inch of it's life. No kettle. A broom cupboard with unsanitary appliances. Geez please don't waste your hard earned money. X

I was there yestarday around 2pm,the blonde lady who do the coffe defently need more training. No taste,not any foame,just pay and after put in the bin outside.

Aplastó coches en el aparcamiento, la zona del patio exterior cubierto de suciedad, al entrar en el hotel se asemeja a un sitio de construcción abandonado, la habitación que nos dieron era sucia, apestaba a sudor y tabaco rancio, una pulgada de polvo en la cabecera de la cama y en la esquina de la alfombra, el hotel habitado claramente por personas con adicciones a las sustancias o al alcohol, la vista desde la ventana era un techo con cientos de restos de cigarrillos en él, (ver olor a tabaco rancio comentario más arriba) , este es sin duda el peor lugar en el que hemos tenido la desgracia de alojarse y personalmente no conozco una persona que pasaría una noche en este lugar. Nos alojamos 10 minutos, nos reservé en el Ibis 2 millas más abajo de la carretera. Una queja severa planteada con booking.com que debería avergonzarse de tener este hotel en su sitio web. ¡Necesita cerrar!

Insanely rude staff. Asked for some sauce on my chips and got told I should have asked during ordering my food and had no intention of giving me any. Only after I commented back at him, did he give me some mayo, but immaturely gave me the most minimal amount and walked off.

WARNING ⚠️ do not park here unless you are only going to the store… if you walk off the car park you will incur a £100 present 🎁 ( a very happy Christmas present !) A WONDERFUL FINE … the signage is unclear it states you can park for two hours provided you are a customer, which I was… but then I went to help someone who had fallen on the disabled parking bay … and post a letter in the post box m, so for being a good citizen & walking off the car park I was sent a nice fine… I refuse not to be a good citizen and will always help people who need my help… I will be checking if my car filmed the event & if it has I will release it on every social media outlet site & every news paper and every other media outlet humanly possible as this is a disgrace …. I would have thought st Helen’s would have welcomed custom seeing as the town is dying in its feet but my money will spend anywhere … and it won’t be here ever again nor would I pay to charge my car in the event of maybe walking 🚶‍♀️ anywhere big brother says I’m not allowed to and being fined …. As a store the range is amazing but never ever will I shop there again

Yo estaba comercial en la ciudad y pasamos un poco de tiempo para matar así que decidimos BHS cafe una prueba para el almuerzo. Solamente he comido aquí una vez antes en esa ocasión elegir una papa de la chaqueta. No fue la mejor, pero me pareció que cosas podrían haber mejorado después de todo este tiempo, así que pensé que me gustaría darle otra oportunidad. Gran error! Pedí una patata, brécol y queso torta del menú comidas calientes a un costo de £5.50 . Me dijeron que me podría haber dos lados con esto y me ofrecieron 'chips' o 'puré' (realmente! El plato ya o patata). Me decidí por guisantes y verduras variadas y pedimos una taza de té Earl Grey, por un costo total de 7,15 libras que es mucho para un almuerzo de calidad sub-estándar. La mayoría de las personas que pedimos comida, etc. estaban pagando en media de £7+. Me senté y comenzaron a comer mi comida pero descubrí que la comida estaba fría, y parecía haber sido colocados en un plato frío. Volví al mostrador para decir que la comida estaba fría, ni siquiera cálido, y ya que estaba en las comidas calientes menú, descripciones comerciales vienen a la mente! El miembro del personal que se ocupó de la reclamación se disculpó y me dijeron que lo 'calor que para mí". Supongo que meter en unos minutos, pero porque el papa, brécol y tarta de queso era en un plato individual, realmente no recogida mucho calor. ¡Qué calor había en las verduras no duró mucho. Me sugirió que tal vez sus fogones no funcionaban adecuadamente. Tengo que decir que este café es una farsa de la industria del servicio de comida. No puedo decidir si es pobres los niveles de personal, la falta de formación/compromiso por parte del personal o complacencia de el personal pero sea lo que sea, es lo que sirven es de los más pobres calidad que he experimentado. Puede ser que sólo así comprar un sándwich frío de los panaderos cercanas y pagar mucho menos. Venga en BHS, dinero, esto podría ser una pequeña mina de oro pero estás dejándoos mucho. I am contactar Compass Group Reino Unido cuyo nombre aparece en el recibo, ya que puede que les interesaría saber cómo mal están siendo representados en esta excusa para un café en Maidstone. NUNCA me dan a esta cafetería mi negocio nuevo.

The fillings are ridiculous, i'm sure they counted the individual sweetcorn on my sandwich. I've eaten subways around the world and Halifax subway is by far the worst

Looking at past reviews I wasn’t expecting anything too fancy but the buffet breakfast was actually not bad at all! Good selection of the usual hot food and a good ‘cold’ selection if cereals etc. The only bad thing I can say is there was no black pudding! Still good though.

best food i ever had slushies on full power icecream whiopped nicely and absolutely amazing service highly reccomended

Them cake rolls in the glass cabinet are years old, was soooo post off to get served with rushty smelling old products 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
