Once again all the shutters were down on the fridges and chiller cabinets and part of the frozen section was closed off this is the 2nd time in a few weeks. What happens to all of the food behind the shutters? I won’t be buying anything in the lines of fridges freezers or chillers in the future. Disgusting

We were staying nearby, and called in here for a couple of breakfasts. Good value for a perfectly acceptable cooked breakfast.

Food is good, head chef (alcoholic?) could do with less attitude though and show a bit more appreciation to her guests. An old grumpy man interrupted our dinner talking about the state of the country - very rude and put a downer on the overall experience.

Ordered meals for my children they refused to eat as said it tasted funny. The chips were rubbery and everything had an odd tatse to it

I found that the customer service was lacking with the age group serving (Youngest being no more than 12) and dealing with complaints. I brought more than one item at the stall and only complained about one item which did not taste right, did get replacement, which I was happy with till the same item I complaint about was still not right. But was told I was wrong and they wouldn’t do anything else. I don’t believe I spoke to anyone over age of 16.

Popped in for the first ever visit with a big appetite. Staff were very pleasant , premises looked clean and very presentable. Menu prices I personally thought were a bit on the high side. Opted for the breakfast burger at £9.50 to take away. Service was pretty quick, although they weren't overly busy at that time . Was served with my lunch and left eagerly with haste. On arriving back to my workplace with an empty and grumbling stomach , it was the second bite that I actually looked at what I was eating, only to find that the middle of the burger was still raw. Not for me thank you . If I had eaten in I would have been able to complain, but alas this was takeaway. So back to an afternoons work with an empty stomach it was.

Basic restaurant so wasn’t expecting too much from previous visits but my tuna mayonnaise sandwich was poor. It came on white bread instead of brown which I ordered. I could barely see the tuna as it was spread so thinly.

Handy spot and prompt initial service, however we specified no holla Daisy sauce on the dishes and she brought it out covered in the stuff so we had to wait for the second attempt. Tea cups were almost thrown down on the table, the teapot spout on one was badly chipped which is unhygienic. Poor value for money too.

Limited menu, short staffed that constantly changes. Quality of food depends when you go, service usually very slow mostly disappointed so rarely go now

Rather expensive. Also a limited range of drinks for children. Central London prices (£3.85 for a bottled milkshake?!) which may explain why it seemed rather quiet.

My tea was not hot enough, which is pretty inexcusable for a Tea Shop. It should be piping hot, for the flavour to be extracted from the leaves. So I drank the two cups, in about 2 minutes flat, as I didn't want it to get even colder and thus cutting short my visit. Secondly (an most unusually), I did not receive a small jug of hot water, to 'top up' the pot. Even a cheapo cafe near the bus station (in every town, so to speak !!) ALWAYS provides this, let alone a "specialist" tea shop. The mother and daughter combo, seems like the Mother is really "in tune" with whole thing, whereas the denim wearing, tatoo showing rough-diamond daughter, just doesn't seem to fit in, to the business model, at all. The cakes are excellent.
