The Sneyd Arms Hotel & Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

If you like to be shouted at or ignored in equal measure by the groutesque "staff" The fat Miss Piggy lookalike is pure evil. I'll explain about that utter guttersnipe Have no TV. Barely any heat. Cracked bathroom window. Worms in the toilet. A door that doesn't shut unless pulled within an inch of it's life. No kettle. A broom cupboard with unsanitary appliances. Geez please don't waste your hard earned money. X

the rooms stink of faeces and urine. no security. full of drugs and there are underage girls drinking there. there are questionable stains on the walls and floors and on the pillowcase that by the time i had realised it had touched my mouth. will never be staying here again. 0/10 😡

a great place to stay. the manager is simply an amazing bloke who would help anyone and he help me when i was homeless. i would stay here again

Went into the room and there was no curtains no bath panels and stains all over carpet walls bed ect Would not offer a refund

In my 19 years of living i’ve never seen something quite like this. I imagine this “hotels” main customers are women of the night and middle aged business men who have a mistress considering the sheer amount of pubes delicately scattered around the room and the overwhelming amount of suspicious stains. If not a brothel i assume this place doubles as a sweatshop during the day time due to the undecipherable encryptions written on the inside of the doors. As well as the early workings of william shakespeare the cupboards are full of mould and various other stains. Not only do we have the issues i previously mentioned we also have the shared bathrooms that conveniently don’t lock and are caked in what i can only assume is faecal matter which was a nice touch to the decor. On top of our initial issues with the room the security guard took it upon himself to put the cherry on top when laughing and smiling at our complaints, yes, security guard since there is no actual hotel staff at the desk. Word of advice to anyone thinking about staying here, bring air freshener and pot of pink stuff in preparation.

I witnessed a man with learning difficulties being dragged out by customers while the landlord did nothing the toilets are unsanitary the staff are extremely rude the rooms and bar needs a good scrub, there where girls as young as 14 drinking in the bar avoid at all costs

Smells strongly of weed the staff are very rude the seats and flooring are sticky, the toilets are mingling and the beer tastes like the lines could do with a good clean 🤮

Horrible place full of drugs and violent people the landlord is a bully, the entrance stinks of weed and the whole building smells damp I would rather sleep on the streets

Great hospitality from Owners and Staff. Excellent service. Weekend Entertainment and other events throughout the week. Including Karaoke. The rooms have been modernised to an exceptional standard. Would recommend this place to anyone needing to stay in Stoke. Very reasonable rates. Can book on Booking.com

Great place to stay .. good place to have a drink friendly staff very good price to stay looking to stay again soin

As a special treat for our granddaughter we booked into this hotel for a two night stay. The hotel was of a very poor standard, smelling of cigarettes and damp. Security was non-existent and the room booked smelled of damp and vomit. Wallpaper was peeling from the walls and the walls and ceiling were badly stained. as there was a very young baby in the party we could not stay and requested a refund. Given the state of the accommodation no meal was taken. The refund was initially agreed by the manager but later we were advised that this would not be paid.

Stayed here on the 5th and 6th of August we were given 2 different rooms. the first room had a lovely bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable could barely sleep. We was thinking of leaving after the first night. The second room had a very comfortable bed the bathroom was very basic. I believe that it has recently been bought still needs a lot of work. Breakfast was 8 till 10 got down at 820 no one was there went to wrights pies at the top of the road had a lovely bacon and sausage toastie. Parking is pay and display no concessions for hotel guests. The staff at the hotel are very friendly. If they improve the beds in the rooms I would stay there again

Fair food, fair prices, fair service, fair enough! Decent beers too. (Special mention for the excellent carvery gravy!)

Visited this evening after booking earlier. The restaurant was empty and we were advised that the carvery was unavailable after being told when booking to arrive at 6 45 as it would be ready for 7pm. We therefore ordered steak pie and chicken sizzler from the menu only to be told 5 mins later that neither was available. Needless to say we finished our drinks and left. Went elsewhere and will never visit again.
