This is an average pub which may or may not get your order right, completely depends on the day. Food may be burnt or it may be good. It is hit and miss but I do return as the prices are great and they always have good offers on which would be under sizzling pubs.

Met with friends-hadnt booked so didnt have a table big enough to accommodate us.Managed to get us a big table before we ordered.Food excellent value for money and piping hot

Lovely staff and food, just a shame it took an hour to get the food. Felt for the staff because folks were moaning.

All the food was lovely and very hot. Excellent value and good variety on the menu. Staff were friendly and helpful but also not too much. Food came quickly and plates cleared when everyone had finished but no pressure to have dessert or more drinks or leave. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere and warm but not too hot. Disabled toilet had enough room for a wheelchair and the table was ready for the wheelchair user. Everything really was perfect and we will be back soon. Thank you for a perfect evening.

Excellent value and meal for the 2 for £11.50. Good staff.

Good, plenty of good food options, amazing atmosphere and service. Only big issue is the prices are steep, but otherwise its all fine.

We have been there only two times and each time we ordered fish which was very good. This place is casual and nothing fancy. We would like to try it again.

Staff are friendly, good place to pop in for decent quality pub food. Prices are fair too, would be nice to have a couple more Vege options but that's just a me problem.

We called in the man in space today and had a very nice meal , I had the sizzling salmon which was lovely , husband had fish chips he enjoyed that , The service was quick friendly and welcoming . Lyn who served us our food is warm and friendly , kind and is always at hand to get what you need We would recommend this Pub for a lovely meal ..

Go twice a month with friends . Always the last to go never able to get a coffee even at 9oclock ( the dessert offer ). Think the staff just want to go home

Never have a delivery, we go every Saturday and it's lovely but it seems they don't care on the delivery's, twice now I've paid for boneless southern fried chicken for 3 which is served with 3 dips and got none . We have 2 lots ,the second time I politely added a note saying please don't forget dips as we had none last time ,thanks and still none ,just slatted together! On a Monday or Tuesday it must be someone different who doesn't care and slings it in ,but ,you disappointed my kids and that's unacceptable! I will be in Saturday but you won't no who I am will you ! In reply to your reply ,what's the point of a system that prints out the wrong thing so customers get the wrong thing ! Makes no sense and this never used to happen. At the end of the day ,someone there is messing up ,yet customers are paying and not receiving the meal they chose .

Took my friends hear today as it was my friend birthday meal first time they had been to there surprise they said how lovely the food was and they would go again The staff were very good to us whilst we were there thank you all who served us The only one thing I would say that it was cold in the dinning part of the pub other than that we would recommend this pub

Be careful, scumbag vulture parking scheme in place here. Popped in for 2 minutes, saw it was too busy and left. 7 days later a parking notice. Wont be back.

We go to the man in space regularly, it’s our go to place for a great meal and excellent service. It would be hard to find anything you need to improve on. Every visit we’ve made has been perfect.

Booked a table a month ago for two for tonight as on route to a concert...circumstances slightly changed due to time ..so I had my 93 year old mum with us who just wanted a snack..staff refused us the extra chair even though there were many empty tables...woman waitress very rude and supervisor rude and unhelpful...toby carvery to the rescue...have been going to man in space for years..never again

Came in for a meal with my family on Monday. We received a warm welcome from the staff behind the bar. My son has an allergy which was dealt with really professionally and put us at ease. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty.

Arrived 7:15 waited for food to be delivered at 8:30. ALL food was COLD. Items removed from order were not. Extras were on the wrong plates. Sauces missing completely. Disgusting... .

Poor service, dirty restaurant, poor toilets, burnt and over done food

Poor, food arrived cold asked to change only gone a very short time clearly microwaved won't be spending my hard earned there again and watch out for parking camera don't forget to register ,bad really when a pub stoops to them levels.

We went to the Man in Space in New inn Lane Trentham today Ordered two rump steak sizzler meals but a am afraid there wasn't a sizzler insight !! When the meals arrived there was one rump and one sirion meal instead of the two rump that was ordered, we accepted these as one of us would have had to wait for another to be cooked !! The onions were wet and the meal was just warm. Was a real disappointment and afraid won't be going again!!

We called in for a quick tea. It was very busy but we were told if we wanted a table it would be about a 10 minute wait, so we got a drink and sat outside, by the time we had sat down they came to get us. We ordered a mixed grill and a salmon, both were hot and tasty. My husband likes his steak rare and it was cooked perfectly. The staff were very busy but always cheerful. We come often and this is the reason why.

As I walked me and my family were greeted by the rudest concierge I have ever encountered in my life (the bald gentleman) who without greeting us exclaimed that he had no tables for my family and wasn't going to join tables and we didn't want this anyways I mind you all of this was assumed by him again in a tone as if he didn't even want us here. Overall if you have a front of house maybe they should be a bit more polite to PAYING patrons. Maybe try a hello next time mate

Nice place, nice staff, nice food, nice prices. Only downer was their app/site. One of our orders didn't show up and we have to let the bar know after 50 minutes. Their system struggled with QR codes from the app, and another order came out wrong from what was ordered

Our first time in this pub, lovely food but the service was next level, we were served by a lovely lady called Lynne, she was so accommodating and caring as we had a disabled girl with us, she really made an effort and made sure everything was good. Thankyou for your kindness, we will definitely be back

Had a 80th party, ok. Some food a bit cold

We were staying close by and saw this pub which we decided to try. I booked a table for 6 as I wasn’t sure if they would be busy as it was the bank holiday weekend. The prices are so cheap for the food and drinks you get! We had 6 large food orders and 6 drinks (mostly alcohol) and paid around £110 which was brilliant. The food was lovely and so much choice I struggle to choose what to have! Food was fresh and tasty. Staff all friendly and we ordered more drinks afterwards too. Would highly recommend if you are staying around this area!

Don’t rely on this food pub if you want food. They randomly stop serving when they feel like it. Tried to order meals at 7 PM on a Tuesday and they told us they were not taking any more orders for the night. Pub was half empty. Really gone downhill over the years. Don’t forget to enter your registration plate number if you want to park your car on the car park.

Always love going here, it's cheap food but done well. The service is always quick and attentive. The Guinness is also always on point. Well done to all the staff there!

New menu very misleading, leading to paying more than we wished, Garlic bread starter way overpriced, fish overcooked and dry, normally very good but disappointed last night.

Food was decent and came out quite quickly. Good pint of Guinness. Complete lack of Spacemen tho 🤣

This is the first time I’ve been to this pub and it certainly won’t be the last. The food was great, seven of us in our party for Father’s Day and everyone of us really enjoyed our food. I must mention the staff too, they were really nice, so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I think they deserve a raise 😊 Thank you for making our day special.

Very very surprised at this place First visit tonight. Find a table and order at the bar or on your phone The food was very good. However, my sizzling tandoori chicken wasn't quite sizzling and wasn't very hot, but everything else was spot on, and service was great, very food prices

Will never go this pub again used to live in the area so used to come here regularly,I was passing so thought I would come in for a drink while waiting for friends.today got a parking ticket didn't realise you at to pay to use not one member of staff mentioned it.beaware in future about parking

very bad idea to be able to reserve a table for drinks only .have not been able to get a seat for a meal even though 4 or 5 tables were empty and do not fill up until just before 9 when the quiz starts. also a lot of people who were in for meals finished and went home so there would have been plenty of tables for the quizers to use with out leaving tables empy for 2 hours when you could have had people using these seats for meals

Update 13 April 2024. We visited Satuday lunchtiime and it was busy with diners. I had fish & chips which was excellent. The fish was tasty and beautifully cooked as were the chips. Peas were good too. Only quibble was that the chip portion was on the small side and, for the price, should've been bigger. My partner had a veggie option, vegan ribs, which she enjoyed.

Busy on a Friday night as to be expected. Really nice cheap food and lovely staff. My family love eating here.

Great atmosphere! We went for tea with friends. Food was delicious, service was quick and staff were lovely and helpful! I thought the drinks were very reasonably priced considering it was a pub ! Totally recommend it!

The only thing to let the pub down was the outside. Around the entrance was strewn with cigarette butts which was off putting. We actually wondered whether to be bothered to go in but decided to give it a chance. Food was well cooked and staff were pleasant.

Just had yet another wonderful experience at The Man in Space last night with family and friends. The food as usual was tasty, the service friendly and efficient and just a great atmosphere to get together for a few drinks. Just be sure to book early as evenings (especially Fridays) are very popular

The service is super friendly. Bubblegum and passion fruit syrup from France is the first time I’ve seen Teisseire selection in the UK

I would like to thank all staff from last night, as we got moved from table 2 to 3 as the other people demanded that table, but you know what we found the table 3 better as we had more room. We where happy anyway and the food came quicker than expected so that was good too. Beautiful food as always. The man on the bar is always very cheerful and always very chatty, love it makes you feel very welcome.

Had fish and chips the fish was perfectly cooked the batter was thin and crispy and not raw inside but beautifully cooked and you could have the same meal for two people for £11.75 . It was a busy place service was quite quick considering how busy it was. Very enjoyable 😉

A great meal served fast and all hot. All offerings were lovely and tasty. Not a bad vegetarian selection. The app worked but it was impossible to select your options and so was easier just to go to the bar to order it. We will go again
