Best cosy pub ever! The food is AMAZING, fish and chips is always my go to and you won't ever be disappointed! Home cooked and everything. I'm so in love with this place and I highly recommend to anyone!

Beautiful traditional pub with a great selection of Ales... Proper pub grub and the best selection of cheeses from the cheese counter... and if you catch it right they have live artists on through the week too!!

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere

Not eaten here but the staff are very friendly and the Guinness is bloody good. So we’ve been every night last week. We are on last week of work now and will miss the place. There’s a good selection of food if you check website. Cheese boards and scotch eggs , sausage rolls , they look homemade. I’d say give it a try.

Great place for a beer by Joule's before the match on a Saturday 3 pm kick off. Bliss. There is a bus outside direct to the Brit.

Lovely Wednesday evening, home made burgers, two for the price of one on Wednesday which was a nice surprise. Absolutely lovely pub, if you're near I would advise to pop in.

A very friendly pub with good beer and a good atmosphere. As a visiting football fan, I would recommend a visit to the Glebe.

Have our Miners reunion here3 times a years, wonderful venue to meet people and enjoy the Decor.

Great choice of drinks behind the bar and couldn't resist ordering the small cheese board that came with chutneys and the choice of 2 wedges of cheese. We didn't realise that Animal Lifeline were visiting the pub whilst we were there and the pub was filled with as many dogs as there were people. Great event and really raised awareness of how many dogs are without families.

Visited the Glebe with dogs from Animal Lifeline as part of the event they had arranged to support the rescue. Nothing was too much trouble for the landlady, Shona and her team. Can't thank you enough for what you did to help support the rescue. Thoroughly recommend this venue 100%

Well, this was great! I used to go to the Glebe before every Stoke City home game until 3 years ago. Those boozy visits are a mile away from todays late afternoon, pint and cheeseboard. Back then it wqs about beer and the footy, mainly the beer. The atmosphere was good, but loud and blokey as you can imagine. Today my wife and I popped in unplanned. It was just going dark outside, inside was warm and cosy, with subtle lighting. The chrimbo decs were up and we were made to feel welcome. I had a pint of Joules Pale and a Hazy, my wife a G&T and a bag of crisps. Feeling uber comfy and seeing a group having food we decided to have the cheeseboard, it was great. In fact it was all great and we'll be back again soon - but sadly not before Stoke's games.

A hidden gem. Superbly well kept traditional ales, cheeses and chutneys galore all situated in a beautiful wooden fire lit interior. Plenty of corners to tuck away in to enjoy a pint and something from the deli counter.

Tasty pub grub and nice ambience.

The Glebe is one of those pubs that brings hospitality back. It has a fantastic selection of Joules cask ales and always a good range of other beers to suit other palettes. Their range of wines is top notch too. The food is something else. To say that it's 'to die for' is an understatement. A wide selection from cheese boards and pork pies to traditional home cooked food, which is available throughout the week until 9pm. The chips are especially gorgeous. During the winter months, there's an open fire, which is delightful. It welcomes well behaved dogs too.

Stunning pub in the heart of Stoke, on the same road as the glorious Stoke Minster. We just called in for a quick drink and ended up staying for a couple of hours. I had soup and bread which was delicious and piping hot. Great beers, good spirit collection, deli counter. Proper old pub with a great atmosphere, lovely staff and a good atmosphere. Dog friendly and nearby parking. A gem.

We held our brother-in-laws wake there it was a fantastic spread the food was fantastic and the landlady was amazing would recommend a visit. Just had my sisters 80th Birthday party there the Buffet was Brilliant again and the chips were to die for definitely would recommend a visit 😋😋👍

I'm just enjoying a nice day in Stoke on trent and stumbled over this gem of a pub. A lovely atmosphere here, good choice of beers and spirits. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Any person visiting Stoke to give it a go. Just a short walk from the train station. A good old-fashion pub. Give a go if you don't like go to another pub.

Even though it was a Monday afternoon and relatively quiet, the lady behind the bar was attentive and efficient and fun.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff and guests.they have a good choice of drinks. Would have been nice if they could offer coke as well as Pepsi but it's a gorgeous pub and a lovely place to visit.

80's alternative night last Friday of the month. Great night and good atmosphere.

Great little boozer. Never ate from there as of yet so I can't give it a rating. (we will get there I'm sure of it) I usually find myself here with a friend or so during weekends or the mid week on occasions drinking rum. The candles and holders are very unique also. The glebe sticks out from the other places about. Always a pleasure.

Visited the Glebe Saturday afternoon with two of my grandkids. We were made extremely welcome as soon as we entered the pub. We ordered lunch which we ordered at the bar. Excellent menu, offering an exciting choice. The food was served with a minimum waiting time. It was delicious. The pub was busy but the staff were serving customers quickly and with big smiles on their faces. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the place was spotless. I would highly recommend the Glebe. Everything was perfect,maybe not the right place for small children to eat, but older kids will be happy in there. My grandkids are age 15 and 20 years they were delighted with their choice of food. I can recommend the fish and chips with mushy peas, crispy batter and beautiful chips and mushy peas. Kids had classic burgers which they enjoyed very much. We ate every bit of our meals, we will definitely be going back and have spread the word to our friends. The reason we chose the Glebe was we were told by friends who had already visited. A fantastic place to eat and there is an amazing choice of beers,non of which we tried because we are all teetotal, but plenty of customers were enjoying their tipple.

Tap cider was great. The menu looked like the usual pub grub. We both chose fish and chips and it was SO good! Totally delicious and the best F&C I’ve had in a very long time! Excellent value!

Second to none! This is the nuts . . . The decor the people the atmosphere but most of all the staff, service and selections! This is what attracts new customers and makes them into regulars and part of the furniture. First time in and ill never go anywhere else, professional and welcoming staff and the candle lit tables is a touch of class and character. People need to read this review hard and get their bums on the cosy seats and enjoy the tone and escape from all their worries. Magical place for sure x

In addition to meals this place has a cheese/delicatessen counter. Great value for money with chutneys bread and crackers.

The platters are fantastic for small groups/parties and are served with a variety of cheeses, pickle and choice of pate. The pork pies are a go to item and round off the platter nicely (helped down by a refreshing pint!) Great atmosphere in a pub with a lot of history and beautiful stained windows - music often on Tuesdays 🎶

What a pub! Absolutely great. Live music every Tuesday and open mic on Thursdays. If I go to the Potteries again, definitely again.

Very nice pub. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. They serve pies and cheese boards sourced locally so a must try. Parking near by which is free on a Sunday. My only bug is that they ought to serve 0% beers etc on tap as it’s very common elsewhere these days.

Didn't have food, but have been told it's delicious. The glebe is a lovely place to have a few drinks. The atmosphere is cosy the have a beautiful Christmas tree and open log fire. Very christmassy and friendly place.

Excellent pub, just a short walk from the Stoke Railway Station. The "black and blue cheese burger" worked very well for a refuel on a cold November evening.

Been past here sooo many times and always thought it looked my kinda pub. Came in on a Wendesday night with a few friends. We both had burgers on the bogoff, which were both of an excellent standard and were so tasty indeed. Loved the ''untouched'' interior and decor was like stepping back in time. A couple of our friends had cheese from the extensive selection, such generous portions and value for money. I bought a pork pie to go, intended for my lunch the next day, getting home even after a boss meal the beer munchies got the better of me and I went for the pie, gorgeous. Easily the best in SOT by far. Being a Joules pub the beer (slumbering monk) was lovely and very well kept. The Glebe is definatley a hidden gem of a pub that is well worth a visit. Pint and a pork pie for sure. Thanks for a great evening and such nice food and beer, I will be popping in on my way home after work to pick up a pie and maybe a pint for sure !

Best cheese board and pork pies

What a delight, great place and service was going the extra mile. I walked in and my glasses steamed up and was trying to unfog them by wafting them around. The member of staff went off, came back with a napkin to clear them, how thoughtful! We had their cheese, a large chunk with soft granary bread, a drink, prefect end to an evening. Nice and chatty and informative, thank you.

Food tood a whild to arrive, I ordered fish and chips, the fish was a bit off.

A combination of a quiet day and messed up trains meant I could re-visit a pub that I haven’t been in for nearly 10 years. It was just as I remembered it - friendly and welcoming, with a real historic vibe. A pint of well-kept and excellently-served Joule’s Pale Ale, and as it was lunchtime I ordered a roast pork sandwich. This quickly arrived, loaded with pork, stuffing and apple sauce on two huge slices of granary bread, with some chips, salad, coleslaw and gravy on the side. £13.75 for a delicious sandwich, with a perfect pint in a fantastic pub. Less than ten minutes walk from the train station. Definitely recommended

Pub had group playing, far too loud and not needed in a small pub like the Glebe. The band, Razed On Radio did a sound check by a man who must have "cloth ears". The singer, Amanda Pepper who has a very poweful voice was even so, overpowered by the volume of the band.
