Busy friendly pub with pleasant staff

Wonderful food lots of choices cheap prices lovely atmosphere and Craig made us feel welcomed as well as giving advice on best deals

Haven't visited for a few years. Went with a friend today with a friend for drinks and food. The bar staff were friendly and we had a good laugh. Drinks were nice and the food was great wil definitely be visiting again. The new owners and staff have done wonders with the place.

We visited on Wednesday and unfortunately one of the fryers were not working. The staff acted very professionally and said what food was available. We ordered and were very pleased with the meals. Well presented and the service was good. We will be visiting again next week.

How’d I find myself in stoke? Don’t ask… However this place is unreal , so many great experiences here. Highly recommend. Staff are hilarious and attentive.

Turned up 6.30 to watch the England game ordered drinks.Wanted to order food for me and the wife to be told.there was a party in ordering so we couldn't have food..Best part is there were only about 10 in the party 6.30 to be honest i dont feel this was late.Wondering if the chef was an England fan and wanted to see the match..

I visit the Sneyd Arms with my daughter after dance and for lunch through the week, we are always made to feel welcomed. Craig and Jay are fabulous, they do the little things really really well. The food is great with a nice menu and decent offers everyday if the week. Big and clean beer garden that's enclosed and they always accommodate my little dog. Pool table and darts boards too. All round friendly place to be. Beats the others hands down.

It is a wonderful place to have a meal the food is excellent the service is excellent and so is the atmosphere really recommend comming

I had a meal delivered and it was absolutely delicious 😋 who ever does the cooking is an excellent cook. And delivery was very quick.

What a difference....after not a nice meal & an unkempt dining area last year, been back today and the cleanliness was noticed straight away (no previous diners crumbs or chips all under the tables)....the food was delicious & the staff were attentive and very pleasant... I will definitely be happy to go back & eat there again

Majority of the staff are well mannered, polite and up for a laugh, love this pub. Always have a satisfying meal and experience here. Pricing of food and drink is also very good and competitive.

Been here twice now, first time was great, service food etc.came here 2nd time and it's about 4.30 looking forward to a Sunday roast advertised for a good price all over the menu, outside and inside. Go to order a roast dinner and they sold out, so my misses and son ate, yes enjoyed and I'm sure I would of enjoyed my meal from last times quality of food which was good, hence why we came back, but to not have any roast dinner left at half 4 isn't what I would call good service.

We visited sneyd arms for dinner and a few drinks and couldn’t fault it, the meals were hot, plentyful and well priced, the drinks were a decent price too. The staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. It’s dog friendly so our dog came with us and the staff were really helpful gave us water for our dog and give her lots of attention. Great place, tasty food and lovely staff.

Super rude women bar staff, quite Sunday ordered from the app table service, after 20mins we had till not received our drinks, she was stood on her phone most the time so I politely said we haven’t had our drink yet and I was met with a rude reply. “We don’t offer table-service drinks here”. Any other green king I have been to brings them to the table as that’s the point of an app. No customer service skills. Me feel comfortable as I was in the wrong. Not even a “sorry about that” bare minimum costumer service skills

I found the staff extremely rude and bad attitude over the counter i started to put my order in she said "yeah wait a minute". The order we had to wait nearly an hour with a 2 year old. Then me and my partner were told to watch our child they were making out she was nuisance Definitely wouldnt come again.

To be fair I didn't even visit this place but Google seems to think i did 🤔

Posting this true to life, honest review now in February as I have been waiting for promised compensation vouchers, since my complaint for a fiasco for Christmas Lunch. I initially complained on the 27th December 23, our lunch on Christmas day was a joke, our booking for 14:30 should have gone swiftly, no, starters served at 16:10! Despite constant complaining during the sitting, we didn't get the main itself until after 5 pm, we weren't the only ones either, there was a table of 12 in the same predicament, among others. The mains were a joke, 1 sprout I tell you! I did receive a FULL REFUND however, I would strongly recommend that anyone in the same boat gets their claim in too! Contact Samantha. I/ We shall avoid this place like the plague from now on, sad really, as we have previously had reasonable meals here and the beer is usually good. Made me laugh in January, I received a generic email from Greene King, for £5.oo off a meal for two! I'm afraid that I wouldn't grace them with my presence for a bloody fiver after spoiling our Christmas day. Thinking about Christmas lunch out in 2024? Over the last week I've eaten twice at the syned Arms Cannot fault the food, On Saturday the service was a bit slow but we were chasing so it didn't matter Today 2 of us had the senior meals Cannot fault it, good food, brill price Not worth cooking yourself We all enjoyed our meals over the two visit Cannot fault it Thank you

Xmas day was an absolute disgrace I understand that you were let down by staff but our experience was appalling it completely ruined our day

Terrible service, myself and my family went for Christmas Day lunch and never again, we had to ask about the food after waiting an hour and no one had been to greet us or apologised for the wait only to be told by a very rude woman what about your food, after the starter finally came out it was another hour for the main to finally emerge again after asking , we were given a free drink each but we wouldn’t have got that if we hadn’t complained about the wait for the food, when the dessert came out one was missing so had to ask yet again and wait for that we didn’t even get the full meal no mince pies or coffee were offered didn’t want to ask again. The meal was £45 each food was good but service was absolutely shocking, no Christmas atmosphere at all and the staff were very rude, we have had Christmas lunch at various places over the years and I can honestly say we have never had such a bad experience.

First Christmas Dinner we've had out as a family of seven would not bother again. After waiting one and a half hours for starter to be brought out then having to wait another hour for the mains to be brought out after having to keep asking staff who if spoke at all just kept saying its on its way out then after another hour dessert had not come out so asked the gentleman collecting glasses who said he would go and find out for us who came back and said it wouldn't be long or we could have it boxed up and take it home with us we decided to go home and forget the last part of our four course meal as could not wait any longer. Our booking was for 2.00 it was 5.30 by the time we left. No apologies very disappointed.

Writing a review from our Christmas day lunch. I shall start with the positives and the food was nice for a chain pub Christmas lunch. This is the only positive that I can give unfortunately. Service was absolutely shocking from all staff barring one team leader called Craig. Attitude of staff was disgusting. We sat down at our table and no one cake to greet us. It took 1 hour for our starters to come out and I had had to go and ask what was going on before they came out. When I asked the member of staff what was going on with our food, she replied with "what about your food" this lady was small with short hair. Very rude and abrupt and not apologetic or helpful in the slightest. When food did come out it was slapped down on the table, with no apology with regards to the delay. Main meals took another hour to arrive after the starters. I had to ask again how long our food would be to which staff were not helpful and abrupt with answering my queries. We were at this point offered a free drink and when our drinks order arrived they had missed some drinks. Tables were not cleared of glasses until we had been sat there for over 2 hours. Desserts came out in reasonable time after the main meal. All adult desserts were served and they had forgotten the children's dessert to which we had to ask for after waiting for a few minutes for it to hopefully come out. After explaining how bad the service had been from start to finish the staff gave a very half hearted "we understand". No one wished us a merry Christmas whilst we were there. No one asked if things were okay with our meals. There was no Christmas atmosphere in the pub at all. All staff were extremely rude and did not make it an enjoyable experience for their customer's. We paid a lot of money for the meal. And yes you pay a premium for the convenience of not having to cook Christmas lunch, but to be treated in the way that we were was not acceptable. The pub knew how many people they were cooking for, so I am unsure how things went so wrong. Would I recommend this pub, for a chain pub food is satisfactory. If you would like to be treated nicely by the staff I would give it a miss. The pub might wish to send their staff on customer service training skills.

Just went in for a couple of drinks nice friendly place

Multiple hairs in food, staff clearly not wearing hairnets . When told about the hair the first server took it away and brought it back 2 seconds later (just removed the hair then brought it back) like are these the values you teach your staff?? Second time I go up to the bar as I find another hair in the food. This time the food was offered to be remade or refunded . Obviously I chose a refund . Please make sure your staff are educated in health and hygiene. And are all using the proper PPE including hairnets and beard nets. Blonde manager however seemed lovely and was great , other staff look like need re training in customer service .

Food has definitely improved recently. Well donee the new chef . Definitely will come here again

Nice atmosphere, and was very busy, menu is varied as it was busy some of the food was not available but what we had was cooked well hot and tasty

I went with my friend today for lunch ,after a 40 minute wait i went to bar and ask where our meals were,shortly after they appeard we both had fish chips and mushy peas. The fish and mushy peas were cold , i complained and was ask if i would like another one i declined didnt want to wait another 40mins and had gone of the meal by this time, i was offered a drink i had to refuse as i was driving.then came the sweet, cold sponge with coconut and cold custard, needless to say we were not happy.i have visited in past years and its been heaving with plenty of atmosphere .we wont be goimg back and will find somewhere else where they serve hot food

Sam and jay are fantastic hosts, food amazing, where else can you get 2 main courses for £11.49,need i say more.

We go to the Sneyd Arms regularly and never have any problems. The food is always a good price, tasty, and the staff are lovely too. On one occasion we experienced a mix-up with the food but the staff we so sincere and helpful about resolving the issue...especially Sam and Craig. They made us feeled valued and respected and we will continue to visit as they genuinely care and want you to enjoy your experience. Thanks guys 🥰

Treated myself to a meal here today and all I can say is wow! Generously seasoned steak cooked to absolute perfection. The staff were polite and welcoming. The pub on the whole was clean and well stocked and the beer was crisp and fresh. All in all a wonderful experience. I won’t hesitate to revisit soon.

I have visited this place a few times this week and had a fantastic experience each time. On my first visit I was welcomed like an old friend. The whole pub is clean and organised. The beer was crisp and clean, the atmosphere was friendly and really enjoyable. I ordered myself a rump steak today and wow! Everything was cooked to absolute perfection. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly as I ordered. Would highly recommend. Thank you to Sam and the whole team.

Went in for some food and a pint, the bar guy Craig gave good service with a smile, food was brought to us by J within 15/20 min of ordering, had a steak and the chick n mix that was absolutely spot on cooked by Sam and frank

You always get a warm welcome here Sam and her team are always friendly Jo served us today , we are always greeted with a smile. The menu is very good value for money, the pub is always clean There is a large beer garden too The food is always cooked fresh , good size portions. Very good value for money . You never have to wait to long We go in here quite regular, its a lovely community pub . Plus you can take dogs in too Sam is a very good Manager , she runs the pub very well She even had to be Chef for a few weeks I highly recommend a visit here , you will not be disappointed

25 of us booked in for a family meal yesterday and the service received was flawless. Food was lovely and staff were really helpful, especially Jay who was on hand to cater to our every need. Had a lovely meal on bank holiday Monday, such good value for money, staff were lovely, they ran out of chips and couldnt apologise enough to be replaced with fries (thought these were better anyway 😁) nice meal out without breaking the bank

Poor food not been for a while the corporate pub food has really gone down in quality. The fire door propped open to smoking area made the whole pub smell of stale smoke. Cheap but you get what you pay for.

An enjoyable visit yet again. The breakfast baps were most agreeable and the atmosphere was great. Plenty of seats to choose from giving good sight of the television screens. Good facilities for disabled. The only down side was that England lost!

Good food and beer( good prices)and quiz this pub should be busyer( not sure if it's busier?)but it's a cracking pub please use it more it's big , got a good beer garden too ( I'm not the landlord)

Great food, lovely staff football on tv good value for money

Sam and the team excel every time we’re here!! Great to have music as well to add to the atmosphere. We ordered food and it came fast and was hot and fresh. Dad ordered the steak and compliments to Sam it was spot on!! Well done team Sneyd. A big shout out to Jay who always comes to say hello to us!! We’re not from the area we stopped off in passing. We were in the area booking a wedding venue. Food was piping hot and very nice. The man behind the bar (he had a beard and dark hair - didn’t get his name) has excellent customer service. He was running around serving food and taking orders. He’s a credit to the pub. Because of him we’re going to come back when we are back up here for our wedding for some lunch the day after.

Came for lunch with my parents today and as always, great service. Lovely food, quiet atmosphere and great staff. Craig and Jay are always attentive and a pleasure to chat to and make you feel so welcome. Love the fact that dogs are welcome and I can take my ages staffie Jay with us who also got lots of fuss and attention. Thanks and keep up the good work 😊

The staff were all really lovely and welcoming. The service so fast and food came really quickly too. Visited for Father’s Day and the table had been set up for the occasion which was a fun and pleasant surprise! Really felt like the staff went the extra mile for us.

Just had a meal in this pub. We had been house hunting and needed some food before returning home. We had a delicious meal for an excellent price. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We work for a charity that work with adults with LD, we took 51 people to the pub for an evening meal. Sam and all her staff worked tirelessly & provided us all with delicious, piping hot food all served in a friendly, orderly fashion....
