Met a friend here and had a few drinks. Got my wheatbeer at a good price.Drinks are cheap here .Plenty of space no waiting. Sit upstairs when visiting here. More comfortable.

Big airy pub. Food came quick. Onions rings were a bit cold.

Great pub with cheap drinks and good food, great atmosphere with paintings and murals celebrating stokey heritage. Two well decorated floors and plenty of TV screens to watch any sporting events. Only let down by the fact that its a weather spoons.

I always get the 3 plate deal for when out drinking, it's the best option

This is Weatherspoons but not just any Weatherspoons. Look I'm not going to lie, it wasn't the cleanest bar I've been to, but it's a Weatherspoons... They aren't. But in my 40s of life I've been to many Weatherspoons and this is the nicest one I've been to. The place is huge and going to the toilet doesn't require you take a hobbit trying to dispose of a cursed ring only to realise that the eagles could have flown you there and saved everyone a long journey

A great pub for cheap meal and drinks we ordered through the app and had table service which was very quick with how busy they were and the waiter was very polite and friendly 😀

The food is terrible staff very rude Staff also leave empty glasses on tables No respect for people with disabilities whatsoever. . Some staff suffer with severe mental health issues. Definitely a recommended to avoid where possible

Needs a serious upgrade and a deep clean. Sticky carpets and floors, sticky tables and menus, tables not cleared, and decor that hasn't changed for well over a decade. First visit in years and it hasn't changed at all, still a dump. Walked in and straight back out again.

Top pub with a good amount of history on the iconic spitfire designer. Two floors of table and miraculously, the toilets are ok the ground floor. Spot on.

Been to visit my brother for the day so we decided to come to Hanley and have breakfast and I must say I'm absolutely apauled by the food and a certain staff member. My breakfast came out cold and the the waiter who served me and brought the food out wants having a word with as she has no customer service whatsoever!! She sounded like she didn't want to be there and when I went to order my food she came across like she couldn't be arsed. When she came over woth the food she practically threw it on the table and just walked away. Utterly disappointed indeed and I can imagine if I did something wrong but I was just a normal person ordering food and that's the respect I get so I shall not be coming here again I'm sorry ......

Great chain pub for meals or just a coffee, I've been quite a few of Weatherspoons and always found them excellent value for money.

A very bad steak on Tuesday steak , lots of fat and gristle. When we complained about it we were refused a refund, from management.

Excellent Access for Disabled customers especially as they have a lift to the first floor. The real ale choice is an Aladin's Cave for Officianados, on the day I visited there were Eight choices, not including Ruddles and Abbot.

I'm usually quite happy in a Wetherspoons but this was a below-par experience. Not very busy on an early Friday evening, but an item was missed from my order, steak was tough and flavourless and chips tasted oddly stale.

Had a dog with us . Sat outside . There for an hour before someone decided we couldn’t be there anymore. Won’t be returning . Manager hiding behind company rules instead of using his own common sense. Kids and a couple of adults fighting were more trouble but the dog took precedence.

Called for a drink and a bite to eat before going to the grand theatre.

I came to wetherspoons yesterday with my family and it was amazing, the food was perfect, and also the drinks I would rate this 1000/10 if I could, I would definitely recommend this place to others!

Kopparberb alcohol free states ALCOHOL FREE which is a lie. A worker came over and told my younger brother that he couldn’t drink it as it still has 0.05 alcohol in it. How dangerous for a recovering alcoholic who thinks they’re just drinking a non alcoholic drink. Shocking from staff and very rude!!!

Cheap beer and that's about it. If you are thinking of eating and it's gotta be spoons, go another one. Lowest common denominator if you know what I mean

Does Jess in the kitchen know how to make halloumi fries. Maybe her auntie (the manager) should train her correctly. They weren’t burnt they were cremated, If I chucked that at some1s head Jesus it would have made a mark on them. Wont be having the halloumi fries the next time Ik she’s on shift.

I love this place in the day time. Dont really eat food when im drinking it looks good though. Just a couple of pints of abbott and a bag of nuts. Nothing better on rainy day. No bad atmosphere either

Went back after 4 years really gone down hill nothing good to say about this pub

Shocking service. Ordered a vegetarian brunch meal for myself. The meal for the rest of our party came out a good 15 mins before mine. When mine eventually did come, the meal was cold and my eggs were like rubber, clearly just been sat under the hot lights for an extended period of time. We complained to a staff member who said they would have the meal replaced. After nearly another 20 mins of waiting and clearly everyone else had finished their food, my mum went to the bar to chase it up and was blatantly ignored by a young man who appeared to be a supervisor/manager. She literally had to say to him "am I invisible?". Anyway, whilst she was at the bar speaking to said staff member, my food did come out. Hilariously, it was the exact same plate of food (20 mins later) with the eggs replaced. Clearly just put in the microwave as the beans were seriously congealed and the chips and sausage were dried out. I had had enough by then so we called the supervisor over. His attitude was basically "what do you expect me to do". We had been sat in the pub over an hour now and I still hadn't eaten a thing and we had a long journey ahead and had to get back on the road, so I said I just wanted my money back. The man said fine and took all my food and said he would issue one. Worst thing....I never did get my full refund, he took all the food including the bread and butter I had ordered but never refunded for that. I understand it's just a couple of quid but the principle remains.

This spoons gets a lot of stick because it's in Hanley town centre which is a bit of a disaster. The breakfast we had was pretty good. Nice staff and the place was clean.

My wife ordered a cheese and tomato panini , when she began to eat it she felt it was very dry, when she opened it there was tiny patches of cheese, hardly any. She asked a server who she complained to, she brought the teenage manager, who was totally indifferent, and displayed a couldn't care less attitude. Offered to replace it, but once bitten, we will never go back in there! The 2 star service was for the server who was really good. Avoid

I got 2 alcothol i bropped them they laughet at me

Had the mixed grill my partner had beef madras with chips. Meal did not take to long had mine with jacket potato which was nice.meat a bit tough but ok.my partners meal was quite small about 8 chips no popodoms meal was ok

I have a shellfish allergy and meat intolerance so usually opt for vegan or vegetarian dishes. Fortunately, my partner doesn't have any dietary needs but today, he had ordered the Vegan Katsu Curry and two of the "breaded vegan chicken" pieces were breaded fish - still pink. We only had parking for an hour so didn't argue, just pointed it out to the guy at the till who looked at it, shrugged and appeared completely disinterested. He said he'd mention it to the manager and that was all. No apology, no nothing. I should've bitten into it in front of him, maybe watching someone literally come close to death would've elicited a reaction out of him.

Food was cold, fried eggs were like rubber, potato was earthy. When I complained they wouldn't refund and told me that's how they always serve it. It was not edible and we certainly won't be going there again. If I could have rated the service as 0 I would.

Very busy place, as this is the only reasonably priced restaurant in the town. Some good history inside. Standard fayre available.

Cheap beer and average food,service could be better

Been here before and no problems, went today and were refused service, which was no problem so we asked for water - they gave us one glass for 3 people, one. They were really rude once they considered us 'unworthy'. One server knocked our drink, being petty. Pathetic, unhelpful behaviour from unprofessional staff.

Nice clean pub I had a large breakfast that came out in good time, the breakfast was warm and tasty, the staff were very polite. I had a couple of cask ales after they they were very well kept.

Nice atmospheric English pub, great decor, quite clean for England, good breakfasts, good beer, we visited it several times, definitely worth visiting and recommending to tourists to see what the everyday life of an English person is like, and the prices are comparable to other places and affordable, it's worth spending these few pounds and you certainly won't be disappointed

Worst Wetherspoons in the UK, and I've been to a fair few. Staff don't know their p's and q's, they treat you like an inconvenience. The lines are awful, and it's dirty...like really dirty. There's homeless people hassling you for change at the bar. Unbelievable, don't think I've been in a worse pub. AVOID, for the love of god AVOID.

The accessible entrance is alarmed and the accessable toilet requires a key. If you ask for any kind of accessibility assistance the staff will look you up and down checking for mobility equipment as evidence of your needs and, if you don't meet their standards, will refuse to help you or let you in the accessable entrance. I understand that it was busy at the time but my order was also missing key components that included paid for additions and the items they had got correct were burnt. Our meals also arrived long before our drinks did. I understand it may be busy but that's no excuse for a chain who can afford to put on more staff.

I go weatherspoon in hanley alot when vistiing friend and family. Never really had any compliants. I enjoy the Stawberry and Lime cider they have at the bar. No other pub does it so its great they do that. Foods always good when i go down. Came today for a cofee not complaints really 1'59 for all you can drink. Bargin. Guy at the bar with the horror tattoos was very friendly

service was terrible, staff specifically manager at the top bar. very rude & unnecessarily suspicious of our table due to id however everyone had verified id on the table so we could not see why the manager had such a personal issue with us. was very rude & extra suspicious of the POC with us, which i have never experienced in a restaurant before. honestly shocking never going back!

Toilets r rather disgusting sometimes

I am a disabled customer that uses a wheelchair. The Reginald Mitchell has decided to lock the only level access (accessible entrance) so that disabled people now have to ring a doorbell to try to enter the pub. Today we were waiting and another customer opened the door for us, as the staff never answer! The security guard came storming over, blocked mine and my partners entrance and said with a bad tone ‘this is a fire exit!’ Even though I am in a wheelchair I explained that I needed to enter here as I’m disabled and the only other entrance has steps. My partner complained at the bar but there was no support, I then got upset at how I had been treated and had to leave. It’s already degrading having to ring a bell and wait a long time to get in when abled bodied people can enter freely, this makes me feel unwelcome as a disabled person in weatherspoons and discriminated against because of my disability.

We didn't have food this time but have in the past and has been fine, staff were great.

Cheap and cheerful, staff always attentive and extremely busy. Great alternative to a maccys.

3 of us nipped in for lunch. Plenty of space, no extreme noise. Good pub food which was thoroughly enjoyable and nice server's. Can't fault.

Better than usual, but staff at the bar upstairs, still think it's OK to stand talking to each other and not acknowledged the fact they had to serve customers..

Lovely large pub, two storey, bar upstairs and down. Beautiful staircase n balcony. Cosey. Food was a tad over done this time round. But this is extremely rare.

When it comes to Wetherspoons I would have to say the Hanley one is one of my favourites, huge layout plan with plenty of seating on multiple floors, great staff and quick service.

I have used this pub a few times I ordered a burger which suppose to come with fries and a drink. Instead I was served salad instead. I weren’t aware I was on a diet. The only thing I will say about this pub not keen their cameras inside the females toilets when other pubs cameras out outside the toilets.(sure that’s not allowed) menus are dirty which no one seems to wipe down ( seems to be an issue at all their pubs) Glasses are dirty which hygiene standards aren’t up to scratch.

Had a full English breakfast &, two black pudding.Cooked to perfection, at a very reasonable price.Had a cup of Hot Chocolate, with free refills.Brilliant.

As with all weatherspoons food it's hit and miss. Couple of drinks and a chat. Plenty of seating and an nice building.

Really bad experience. Barman ordered the wrong meal even though he repeated my order back to me. It came, was something I didnt like so I explained i didn't order that, he returned it. My friend finished her meal. I had to chase my replacement correct meal x2. I had to pay 28p difference!! Despite being late for the event we were going out for afterwards due to my meal disaster. The second bar guy was nice and sorted it out. I understand mistakes happen but to expect a patron to go to the bar to pay 28p difference for their mistake. I gave the horribly embarrassed guy who bought the meals out 30p and told him to keep the 2p change because I, unlike this place, have some goodwill. To charge a guest for your mistake is bad taste. Appreciate this a spoons and not The Savoy but I shall never set foot in this place again. Yours, offended.

I had a hot drink in here food looked good but only had a hot beverage.

Food was cold, sent it back, still cold, had to have a fresh meal but was told if it was still cold I could have a refund. Freezing cold venue too...rather dissapointed

This pub is just like any other of this type of pub, the staff are very nice even with certain members of the public who like to visit this type of pub the sort of pub where you have to ring the door bell so a member of the staff can come and check who is waiting to go in before they open the door but that's the problem of the area it's in.

Young girl at the bar acknowledged us but ignored us and started cleaning the bar. Then another gent (manager). came to the bar to serve us. It took a daft amount of time to pour a pint of IPA a Pepsi and an orange and lemonade due to him talking to the girl on the bar. Once he had served us he seemed more interested in everything but us. Poor service and to add to it the orange and lemonade was warm.

It's not the worst wetherspoons. Still, it's looking rather dated and grotty as of late. The food was okay, although I can't say I'd go in there again or very often. I much prefer the Arnold Machin or the green dragon in Leek. The bar staff seem friendly enough though.

We ordered to 2 x breakfast both arrived cold, they were taken away to be REHEATED and again came back cold. We complained to management and were promised a full refund We got only got refunded £4.99. Won't be going back there for a breakfast

Breakfast fine,then later on the main meal was a big let down.

1pm Friday, moderately busy, no long waits to place order or receive food. Great pricing on drinks. Very disappointed with the food. BBQ burger, quite small patty, very dry and lean (20% fat minimum for a good burger), chips standard, middle of the road. The BBQ sauce was hugely disappointing, a chemical, plastic aftertaste with an undertone of used car tyre.
