Entré por spam fitter y patatas fritas fitter y salsa de curry ambos buñuelos estaban calientes en el exterior cuando tomó mordisco el interior estaba frío como piedra las patatas fritas estaba caliente al igual que la salsa de curry por desgracia el lote fue en el cubo solo en vivo 5 minutos de distancia, así que esperando comida caliente solo dar una estrella, ya que tenía que darle a escribir la crítica o no tendría estrellas

Called at the Merry England Pack Horse Centre Huddersfield today 1st September. Ordered a Beef Sandwich with Onion, a Date crumble and an Eccels Cake. These were to take out. Got back home the Sandwich was fine. The Eccels cake was disgusting the currants were like a paste, the pastry was burned. The Date crumble was “ missing” not in the bag at all. As a previous customer I will think twice about going back. If that is the quality and type of service it has come too.

Went to order a dessert from the “pudding” parlour at 19:05 on a Saturday, to be told they only sell ice cream and stop selling puddings at 7pm. Seems strange when the rest of the market is open until 10

Beware the drinks and food at this place taste absolutely awful ! Don't waste your day going there, the service is abysmal as well !

Sadly big mistake. It has ad a refurb but who on earth planned that one?? Its in a mot favoured spot in the city, beautiful view of the cathedral, lots of passing trade nd they put the most cumbersome ugly chairs in! ne big sofa thing which means you take all that precious space up. Surly bar girl, one grumpy bloke who kept vaping outside. Wont be back and have told all my friends not to also.

We decided to call for early tea after, with it been half term for a treat. We have been before and was good... My 2 daughters especially were looking forward to it as it was a curry Wednesday. Was busy as lots of tables were reserved. Kids decided to have a korma as well did i,and husband get a mixed grill. Went to bar over heard person in front complaining to friend they dont have anything. Our turn no Korma available. So I chose, tikka kids had burger, husbands was available. They said they had run out drinks glasses. No big problem that though. Got knifes ect brought had to wipe knives as wasn't totally clean. Then food brought to table, tikka was brought in a soup bowl, have had before so was strange, My tikka was just tepid. Husbands gammon was well over cooked. I know they might have busy. But I won't be rushing back.

Great food great atmosphere reasonably priced lovely place for dinner with family coming back very soon with dogs dad and uncle

Another great breakfast at the Toby. We’re always looked after well by Nat who is always warm, welcoming and chatty. The food is good, hot and plentiful and Nat always greets us with a smile. It’s lovely to be able to chat like friends rather than just customers.

Hadn’t been here for a good few months as I wasn’t impressed with the food or service but I thought I’d give the breakfast a try once more and it was the best choice by far! The food was cooked to perfection and tasted lovely. I hope it stays this way.

Comida absolutamente horrible. El personal está bien. Es un pub masivo, pero entiendo que los pubs están teniendo un problema ahora. Mis nietos comerán cualquier cosa cuando tengan hambre. No podían comer las patatas fritas ya que estaban crujientes por fuera pero congeladas por dentro. Mi pequeña carvery estaba tan mal que la dejé. Sólo salvé que mi papa asada estaba bien. Buen personal

A la entrada del pub nos atendió uno de los camareros más oxidados que he conocido en 15 años de comer fuera! Respuestas muy abruptas en “sí”, “no” o a veces, solo silencio. Después de esperar más de una hora por nuestra comida, la comida llegó (por fin) ! Pedí un filete de solomillo (medio raro) y recibí un filete de grupa, básicamente azul! Tanto yo como mi gf pedimos patatas fritas y ambos recibimos patatas fritas (algunas estaban empapadas, otras estaban sobre cocinadas). Todavía me estoy preguntando cómo cocinar papas fritas en exceso. Los guisantes no estaban condimentados y básicamente seguían congelados. ¡Encontré un pelo debajo de mi filete para más proteína! Después de esperar más de una hora comimos nuestra comida de todos modos porque teníamos hambre y odiamos desperdiciar comida (incluso si fue desperdiciada por el chef en primer lugar). Dejó una muestra en el plato para que el chef supiera que la carpintería es una profesión más cercana que pensó y definitivamente se sugiere un cambio de carrera para aquellas personas que trabajan en el “restaurante”. ¿Cómo puede Greene Rey seguir en el negocio? Went in was greeted with a member of staff pointing out menus and informing us of ordering procedure. Very pleased with Covid procedures in place. Enjoyed our meal service was great very happy.

What a lovely bar and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Me and my partner was worried that it might be a bit young for us but the young lady Jorja with a J, made us feel like regulars. We can keep up with the rest of them!

Soggy batter, small chip portion for ‘large’ and generally questionable hygiene 🙁 Asked if they had a gluten free sausage (sorry) after a behind the counter discussion, the answer came back a blunt ‘no’…… ok, thanks!

Stopped by for a quick bite after a long drive down to Brighton. Gentleman manning the bar was incredibly friendly and more than happy to chat about what there was to do in the area. Food was nothing special but certainly wasn't bad, coffees and drinks were very well done and the outside tables have a lovely sea view. We visited during winter when things were quiet so there was very little wait, I suspect, like most of Brighton's cafes, during summer it will get rather busy.
