Love the location - so calm despite being close to several underground stations. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the room very comfortable. I went with junior suite so plenty of space and big bathroom with bath tub and shower. Breakfast was lovely with table service.
We spent a fab 24 hours at Dormy House. It's difficult to overstate just what a class act this whole place is from top to bottom. Meticulously stylish interiors, impeccably polite and endlessly helpful service from everyone you meet. A luxurious spa where you leave all your worries at the door and relax. The rooms are comfortable and the whole vibe is unstuffy but attentive. We've stayed a few times and will hopefully do so again soon. If you want a relaxed, pampered break from the world outside, I can't recommend Dormy House highly enough.

Dropped in for coffee and remote working. Stunning coffee shop, super-friendly staff, excellent food and top-notch coffee. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

A large pub, a good choice on Matchdays. Has a large greenhouse effect room which was very warm, but lovely side rooms as well. Plenty of ales and different styles to try. A great pub.
Yet again a wonderful lunch which my dear friends thought was absolutely superb. The Red Mullet and prawns stunned and so much food.
Totally recommend this wonderful pub and never been let down.
Thanks all for treating my friends to a great lunch with great service and friendliness.
Pete.
The food was reasonable although when I ordered the pork belly I received pork loin instead and was informed it’s just a different type of pork belly.
We were hurried to order when we wanted to relax and enjoy some wine 1st.
The wine was as issue for me I ordered a bottle of appessimento then primitivo both of which I see on Tesco shelves at £9 and £11 respectively.
I understand a restaurant mark up is generally 200-300 percent so £38 per bottle was excessive.
Had Sunday lunch with family. Turkey was cold and fatty, gravy was watery and did not taste of anything. Tasted like watery gravy granules. Not nice. Will not be returning.
The food was really good, it’s only a set list as the chef is on holiday. The atmosphere is great but the service was poor. It took over 30 minutes to get our main food, and a further 20 minutes to get our second drinks. The waitresses apologised a few times.

We popped in here on the off chance today after a walk. Thankfully we managed to get a table and we are incredibly pleased we did. The service is professional and friendly. The food was brilliant. My Husband and Son had the Sunday lunch, which both of them were very impressed with. I had the fish and chips which was one of the the best ones I've every had in a restaurant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant but would imagine in the busy season you would have to book in advance.
Lovely place with great food. The service was really good with relaxed but attentive staff. The decor is interesting but very welcoming and comfortable. All of the dishes we ordered were fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Workington.

1st time visiting Lincoln and it was my husband's birthday, he is Brazilian and this restaurant had been on our list to visit.
It did not disappoint, the meat was cooked to perfection and delicious. We were treated very well and had a lovely meal.

Beautiful location and amazing views. Room was brill. Food delicious and great guest ale. Early bar close 10pm but that was fine after a day fell walking.
This is the second time we have visited The Miners Sling and sadly, this visit was not as good as the previous one. The food was ok but they only had one bread left and this was prior to 7pm so our ploughman's lunch was rather lacking in something to eat the cheddar with. Maybe a few crackers would have been a helpful accompaniment to the one piece of bread provided? Service was tardy too. Shame.
