Wonderful food in a small and cosy restaurant, staff were very attentive and polite. We've added this to our list of go to restaurants

The food and service were great, so would definitely return. We went on a Tuesday evening and apart from dinner one other table we were the only ones there. Still, the waitress was lovely and the food delicious. Good value too all things considered.

One of the best restaurants in Maidstone - delicious, authentic, home-cooked Italian food that never disappoints, and always a nice selection of specials. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the service is impeccable. A lovely, cosy place that we love to visit often!

Fantastic experience from the moment we walked through the door on 21st August. The young woman who served us was lovely and food was amazing. My wife has a really nice seafood dish and I had probably the best spaghetti with meatballs I've had in years. My wife is Californian and very appreciative of good customer service which at this restaurant was top notch. When we next visit Maidstone we will be back. Thanks for a wonderful experience 🙏

Solo visit while in Maidstone on a business trip, food was delicious and authentic and the lady who served me was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has a cosy and inviting atmosphere, I would definitely visit again if staying in Maidstone.

Had the best dining experience. Ribeye steak was beautifully presented. Tasted amazing and the service was 1st class. Thank you.

Came here with husband, daughter and grandaughter for an early dinner. Nothing was too much trouble, menu choices just enough, food excellent. Child's menu was very good.

Tuesday night. Half full at 7pm. This place serves authentic Italian food you can taste has been made with quality ingredients. Beer at £4.95 is cheaper than many pubs in town too. And you can get an arancini chaser ;) Support your local independent restaurants please. This is a cracking place.

Excellent traditional Italian food. We enjoyed toasted nuts and a selection of breads whilst we waited for our food. I enjoyed king prawns for a starter, followed by a fantastic lamb stew and timamasu. My wife enjoyed mussels. Ww will return (again) soon.

I mean what can I say apart from amazing. We went along with friends to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We have been before many times and the owner is so friendly and always asks how our boys are, she never forgets and the welcome she gives us is like family ❤️ now to the food. Myself and my wife both had the crab spiral ravioli special, oh my gosh I have never tasted something like it. It was absolutely amazing! My taste buds were having a party! I highly recommend this restaurant, we call it “Little Italy” as it is an authentic Italian restaurant with amazing staff, owner and chef. We will be back soon with the boys we promise! See you soon ❤️

I can’t believe as a local we haven’t been here before. What an absolute treat. From the moment we arrived we knew it was a special place. The menu has an array of wonderful authentic Italian dishes, I had the Lasagna and wow the best ever! Wonderful service. Thank you for making our first visit so memorable. We will return and can’t wait to bring our friends and family in the future.

An amazing local restaurant. One of the last independents in the Maidstone town centre. I’d reccomend to anyone looking for great Italian food and a relaxed atmosphere.

I have very high expectations for Italian restaurants and this hit the mark. The food was outstanding - frittura di pesce, burrata with caramelised pear, honey & walnuts (a starter but almost dessert like), artichoke parmigiana and mushroom tagliolini with ricotta & burrata (the best mushroom sauce I have tasted, full of flavour), all absolutely delicious and great quality. Service was fantastic and a lovely ambience in the restaurant. Highly recommend for a meal in Maidstone.

Great food and excellent service! It's a cozy but decent Italian restaurant. We do love all the dishes, especially the lamb stew, it's tender and delicious. Thumbs up! We absolutely will come back and highly recommend it.

We found ourselves in the area and fancied Italian so gave this place a go. Excellent service from the staff and the food was pretty good - just a little salty overall but still enjoyable.

This is our go to Italian restaurant. The food is immense . Some of the best Italian food we’ve ever had anywhere in the world. The service is attentive without being intrusive. A wonderful rustic feel to the ambience. The seafood is amazing. Delicious prawns, mussels, calamari and red mullet. A cheese board that takes you around the Italian regions, enjoyed with some tasty port. We will definitely be back.

- Expected a 91 year old lady to climb the stairs (no mention of steep stairs when booking) - waited 20 minutes to order drinks - waited 40 minutes to order food - took 1hr 20 for the staters to come (From when we arrived) - child’s portion of Mussels was huge (and tasty), adults portion of crumbed mussels was 6 small mussels (yes 6) cold and less than appetising - took 25 mins for (first) main meal to come once starter plates were taken - 1 main (out of 5) came out nearly 10 minutes before the next two, then another 4 mins before the final 2 came to the table - child’s pizza dough was raw in the middle (taken off the bill upon request) - lamb over cooked and dry but plate was roasting hot like it had sat under the lamp for ages waiting for other plates to be ready - chicken was dry and the rosemary in the chicken was sharp and overpowering - we left after main course paying the full bill (except the raw pizza) but will not be back Staff didn’t seem that bothered by the poor service or poor food, as If it is a regular or expected occurrence

Good service, lovely food & a nice setting. Couldn't really ask for more. They were understanding when we were late, it was our fault so we didn't have time for desserts but everything else was amazing. Would certainly return.

This is not the first time we have been to the restaurant.BUT this is the first time the experience was poor.Food was fantastic as usual it’s the service that let it down waiting for table 10 min standing right in middle of restaurant.After food order taken it was a wait for 50 for starters then mains were 10 min after started plates were taken No water bowl for cleaning hands had to ask twice finally came after main was finished with sticky hands no plate for shells I looked around and slot of people were waiting having to ask how long.The waiting staff need to up there game to make experience enjoyable instead of the fake smiles when they apologise.

I have recently celebrated my birthday at La Villeta with 5 children and 6 adults and the food as usual was outstanding, along with the service. The restaurant staff couldn’t have been more accommodating for us and our multiple dietary requirements, as well as being extra friendly with the children.

My partner and I have been to La Viletta several times now and have had incredible food and service every time. Unfortunately, our experience on 17th February was not as positive. This was our first Valentines meal together and we had been excited to go somewhere where we knew the food and service was amazing, however this was not the case for our most recent visit. Our drinks order was taken and we requested water for the table which did not arrive and we had to chase this up. All other tables had valentines decoration and a lit candle other than ours which was just a shame. Within the first half hour we had received our drinks and starters which were lovely. However, we then waited 90 minutes and had no main course brought to us. We raised this to the manager who said ‘it’s on its way’. We again waited further with no mains brought and no check in to us. By this time, it was 10pm and we were understandably very hungry. We decided to leave the restaurant and pay for what we had so far. The waitress was apologetic and again the manager came over to ask us if we were sure we wanted to leave to which we said yes. No apology was given, however she said she would speak to the kitchen. She asked the waitress to reduce our bill slightly however I do not believe this was done as we still paid £50 for our starters and wine. I am not sure if it was a staffing or kitchen issue; but it was a very unfortunate evening as usually we have a great experience here. Just a shame.

Went there for Valentine’s Day at 5pm, restaurant empty bar a couple of tables at the front. We were sat in the back middle of the restaurant right next to the bar, where we asked to move as we felt very uncomfortable (no one else was at this part of the restaurant so the bar staff could hear everything). We were told we could t move twice despite there being empty tables all around us until 7pm. Gave us the wrong food and said the dessert we wanted wasn’t available for 2 hours. The manager spoke to the waitresses awfully (seemed like the owner) the poor girls, and they also didn’t have a clue bless them. Food was nice, but not exceptional. The whole experience was definitely not worth the £100 spent. Wouldn’t return. (Also, for Valentine’s Day, it wasn’t busy FYI just disorganised)

Stumbled upon this little gem tonight, whilst taking a chance getting a walk in table for 4 at 9 in the evening and turned out to be one of those moments in life that you are so glad happened. The food was incredible, staff friendly and attentive. We had an amazing evening, will definitely be back.

Fantastic restaurant! First time I’ve been here. What looks like a family run Italian restaurant, the food is authentic and absolutely delicious, good variety of food, beer and wine. Would 100% come back here.

Fantastic food and ambience in this gem of an Italian restaurant. We loved the food, the service and our table was perfect too. The food was actually better than most restaurants than when we went to Rome recently. Thank you for a special memory.

Excellent service, amazing food, good variety of drinks Very generous portion of very nice Gamberi pasta, and it tastes really good, steak is very nice too, love their tiramisu, it’s perfectly made.

Best meal I’ve had in a long time. There were 6 of us and we all had something different. Every dish was superb, tasty, fresh and hot and we thought really good value for money. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. This is our new favourite restaurant in Maidstone. We will be back soon.

First visit and we will be back very soon. The restaurant reminded me of trips to Italy, lovely trattorias with warm friendly ambiance. Spoilt for choice as to what to have as there wasn’t one thing on the menu that didn’t interest me. There is also a specials board to make it even more difficult to choose! The food when it arrived blew me away, huge juicy tiger prawns for a starter and a venison stew with creamy mash and Savoy cabbage gratin, absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. My husband’s meal was equally impressive. Sadly we were too full for a dessert but enjoyed a glass of limoncello on the house. The choice of wines, cocktails and other drinks is impressive, with specials boards suggesting drinks to have with and after your meal. My husband enjoyed the Sardinian beer very much. I was driving so stuck to soft drinks (of which there was a good choice) but next time we’re getting a cab! Ambiance is great, very buzzy without being too loud. The restaurant was spotless, tables cleared quickly and toilet facilities were immaculate. Lastly I have to mention the staff, who are so friendly and work so hard. The lady in charge (possibly owner?), I just wish I had her energy! She coordinated the service so well with genuine warmth to both customers and staff alike. Thank you La Villetta for a thoroughly enjoyable meal! We’ll see you soon!

Just moved to this area. Our first Friday Night out. We wasn’t disappointed. This lovely Italian restaurant is a little gem. We cannot fault it. Beautiful food and very attentive waitresses and waiter. We had Mussels to start divine! I had the Seafood Linguine and my other half had The Special Pork Belly. Amazing Large portions. Ice cream for my pudding. Thank you so much. We look forward to our next visit.

Have been here now several times and never disappoints although I must say I think that time was my favourite. The staff were lovely and very attentive. We all had the Salmon which was a special and the sauce was lovely together with the potatoes and pumpkin. We asked for extra sauce and nothing was too much trouble and they produced an extra bowl of sauce. It was all very tasty. The little touch of a free limoncello at the end is also good as not many places do that any more. A lovely evening had by all and we will definitely be returning. Debbie

Really delicious authentic food, long wait times. We visited on a Saturday lunchtime when we were one of three tables. We shared the arancini and bredaola to start, and then had the ravioli and risotto for mains. Everything was super delish and good portions, shame we didn't have enough room for dessert.

Sea food is fresh. All taste are to the point! Delicious!

Visited with a group of 4 friends for our friends birthday on a Saturday night; could over look the stained seats and floor that’s sinking as the food was absolutely delicious, however, to be schooled at the end of our meal (8:50 / 9pm ) and be told to be quiet and that we were loud really put a downer on our evening, I understand that it’s a small intimate restaurant and I would understand if we had been drunk ( 3 of us were driving ) and were causing a scene but this wasn’t the case, we found the whole situation very unprofessional and really demeaning

Beautiful meal for a couples meal out. Food was amazing. Italian is our favourite cuisine so we have tried a lot of restaurants and we have travelled a lot of Italy. We all had different dishes and all were special. It’s a little pricey, but you really pay for what you get. Personally I felt the food, wine (particularly the Gavi) and service from lovely Ash was worth every penny. We’ll be back

The seafood is super fresh and tasty!!! Absolutely recommend the seafood linguini. The shrimp is slightly roasted which makes the aroma come out. The rice ball is also very good!

.Came to Maidstone for 3 National Trust venues over 3 nights stay..and on the last night we went to La Villetta...so happy..AMAZING service really grounded and sooooo helpful. Mentioned once that my wife was a vegetarian and within 5 mins she was told Chef has mentioned...Chef said...that shows real attention to detail...food, drink snd deffo service throughout our meal was faultless..GO and ÞRY IT OUT u will not be disappointed

Lovely ravioli A lot of things not good for people with allergies. We wanted to eat meatballs but there was mentioned on the menu that there are sulfites in ? So to be sure we didn't order it. In our country it is forbidden in meat. I asked if the tiramisu was home made, they said yes, but I have my doubts. I tasted industrial. Expensive

What a lovely place. The staff were so polite and accommodating. There was some really nice wines here too. I had the penne aribiatta. Very full of flavour and the pasta was cooked perfectly. We will be back soon. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Walked in off the street with no booking. They squeezed us in. We choose an tray of starters and the must have tiramisu. Friendly, relaxed and helpful staff. The food was amazing. You simply cannot cook any better than this. It is a must dine destination. You will not be disappointed

First time to this restaurant, having heard a lot of good things about it. The restaurant itself is small and cosy. Also right in the middle of town so great for cabs etc. The food was absolutely fantastic, if the menu was a bit limited. The service was brilliant and our waitress was exceptional.. There were no draught beers on offer, although plenty of bottled beer to choose from. My wife and I both had seafood dishes which were sublime and highly recommended. The place itself could do with a spruce up and the toilets in particular were a ‘bit grimy’. The prices seemed ok for good quality food so no complaints there. Overall though a fantastic meal served by great staff. Highly recommended. Thank you

BEST FOOD + SERVICE EVER the food was to die for, the venue was stunning, and the waitstaff was absolutely delightful. Let us come and stand inside while we waiting for our ride so we didn’t have to stand out in the rain. I had such a wonderful time, and I will be recommending this place to all my family + friends. We had a meal in this restaurant for the first time yesterday, and the greeting that we got on arrival was fantastic a lovely :-) they squeezed us in and it was a very busy Tuesday night. I thought food was superb well worth the wait as it’s cooked fresh, lovely atmosphere small But warm and friendly just as the people who work there were I would recommend this restaurant to anybody for a nice Italian meal. The home-made cheesecake is just to die for this is an absolute must I think I’ll even go in there just for the cheesecake.

What a great find , scared to tell the world about it. I want to keep it to myself , service was excellent, help when needed , advice when asked , and knowledge about menu and wine list . The food was first class bread and oils while look , then a beautiful starter of butterfly garlic prawn , then mains of belly pork with tomato, bean and a Nduja sauce all finish with a fine primitivo . All within budget .We will be back, 1 st class all round many thanks

My Fiancée and I visited La Villetta for our Valentine’s meal, and we weren’t disappointed. The service, the ambiance, and of course the top quality food was amazing. Would highly recommend. If you want a taste of real Italy, then avoid the other ‘Italian’ restaurants down Earl Street. La Villetta is definitely the go to Italian in Maidstone for sure! (But remember, no Pizza. Go to a Pizzeria if you want one of those)

I wish we had had more time to enjoy the ambiance and the food. The service was efficient and not rushed. We were warmly welcomed,and I look forward to going back at a later date. Ten out of ten for the food.

Really easy to book, lovley atmosphere inside. So cozy and homely, the restaurant is small but packed full of small details that make it beautiful and a really lovely place for any occasion. Very clean toilets and restaurant in general was spotless. The food was very very good, full of flavour, come out piping hot and very filling with fantastic portions. The waitress was gorgeous, clearly italian herself which made the experience even better because she knew what to recommend etc and helped us so much. So kind and welcoming! We loved it here and will definitely be returning, couldnt find a single fault😊

Prior to visiting, the menu stated to enquire about vegan options which we did. We were told on three separate occasions they could do 'something', finally being told they could do a vegan risotto. We really wanted to visit as a mixed group of vegans and carnivors hence the perserverence. On arriving the vegan did order the risotto although told they could do whatever they liked. All the other dishes seemed a bit samey, with not much difference in the sauces between the different things people ordered. The risotto was at first lovely, although very rich but couldn't be finished due it appearing not to be vegan after all. Two of the guests were then sick later that night and the next day. Unsure whether it was food poisoning or due to the richness. Wouldn't recommend if you have dietary needs at all.
