Clayton Bar and Restaurant in City of London, Westminster

Love the location - so calm despite being close to several underground stations. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the room very comfortable. I went with junior suite so plenty of space and big bathroom with bath tub and shower. Breakfast was lovely with table service.

It’s a five star experience! The hotel staff is extremely friendly very helpful. The location is good walking distance to the central subway. Also walking distance to many historical places to see. I’m still in the hotel my trip has not ended yet, but I am really happy with this service so I wanted to leave a review.

Beautiful hotel, the rooms were impeccably clean, the staff super super friendly, attentive and kind and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful - cannot fault it one bit. And thank you especially to the front office manager Martyna who kindly posted back my computer mouse I had forgotten in my room.

You can open the windows - that is not a given and pillow + bed were comfy. The rooms are clean and spacious, while the bathroom provides enough room and a good shower. For some reasons, they do not have toilet brush (will never get why this is not a standard item) and also not a working plug for the hairdryer. Staff was friendly and room service was really reliable. I come again on my next business trip.

After conducting research, I selected Clayton hotel . I was highly impressed with its clean and comfortable rooms and additional facilities. I highly recommend it!

I have amended this review after being in touch with the hotel. Originally there had been a disagreement over a cancellation that I had made online. The hotel management reached out to me and actually worked with me to find what I believed was an equitable solution. They did not have to work with me to find a solution, but the front of house manager did so, and that I appreciate as a traveler. I've stayed at this hotel a number of times for work reasons and for weekend trips to London. It delivers a consistent experience - the rooms are clean, coffee facilities in-room up to date, and the bathroom amenities are very nice. I have never heard other travellers in the hotel (there is occasionally noise from the streets, but this might have been an isolated experience over the weekend). If you're traveling for work and need to be near Liverpool Street, this hotel is a very solid option which has delivered a consistent, luxury experience. And I do have to reiterate that the service at this hotel really is above expectation.

Perfect location for a long weekend in London.

We arrived and checkin was seamless and the staff were extremely helpful. Our king size room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was supersize, loved the stand alone bath and double shower. It was great to have complementary water and Nespresso coffee. Tanzid the F&B manager and duty manager was extremely helpful and a credit to your brand. We will be back soon.

I stayed here for a night for work and it was very nice. I didn't get to use any amenities but the room was clean and well presented and the staff were really friendly. I had a few slight issues like a broken soap dispenser and no milk in the room, but for one night I wouldn't make this a big issue and would definitely stay again if I was in the area. It's a great location for the City.

Beautiful hotel in the city, in a quiet, safe and easily accessible location as well as well served by public transport (Metro Bank two minutes away and Liverpool Street station easily reachable on foot). The rooms are large, comfortable and well furnished, the bathroom is spacious. Excellent quality food and very efficient and fast room service. A huge thumbs up for the a la carte breakfast, the pictures speak for themselves. Absolutely recommended hotel for both business and holiday stays.

I was here during the ESC Congress 2024. The room was spaceous and cosy, staff polite and hospitable, the food was delicious although there was a small selecion of meals available for breakfast.

Overall, it is a decent hotel. Close to Liverpool Street Station and easy to walk into to the financial district. The staff was very polite at check-in, and the service at breakfast was also very rapid. The room was a good-size, comfortable bed for sleeping, and the shower was mind-blowing with all those shower heads! The only change I would make is to have access to the balcony as I did pay for it but was unable to use to have access to it in the evening for some reason? I would recommend this hotel and rebook again in the future.

Staff was great. Location is perfect with good access to shops restaurants and public transport. Room and hotel elevators could use a little touch up. The elevator doors were not closing all the way during the ride. Paint was peeling off the bathroom ceiling and the room tv remote was very dirty

Being back in London for a few days, I chose a hotel not far from the office I needed to be at. The reviews for Clayton and the pictures seemed nicer than other options. I arrived late, and the night staff were OK, but no more. The room was quiet, but no view (that's London for you). I guess it is a convenient location, though. The bed was OK, and the room was clean in general, but the presentation pillows could have done with a wash (see pic). Whilst there was a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, there was no complimentary water... Shame, really. It's the little touches that make a place stand out. There is no parking near that is reasonably priced unless you book in advance via an app (it was £20 per day plus an Uber ride £11). All in all, if I had to attend the same office, I'd probably choose Clayton again.

Location of the hotel is great. Very friendly staff in all areas. The Rooms are very clean and rather spacious for London standards. WiFi very good. The breakfast was also very tasty. The only limitation is that the rooms are very noisy.

A little gem of a hotel nestled in the quiet streets of the City of London with easy access to Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Bank Station. Large rooms and spacious bathrooms and a really cozy bar with restuarant area. The staff were extremely accommodating and we would most definitely stay here again. Good value for money for a weekend stay.

Stayed when I was on business, very impressed. Left luggage in the morning with no issue and checked in at 11.30pm, very easy process. Room was lovely, clean, modern & comfortable. Personal note & plate of sweet pastries along with water & biscuits thanking me for the booking, this was a lovely touch. Breakfast all cooked to order, a vast menu and nothing was too much trouble, very friendly service. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel in the future.

Really nice venue to stay for events or a break in the City. Nice comfortable rooms. Not overly spacious but not tiny. Nice coffee machines! Bar and restaurant are nicely decorated and comfortable. Staff were all very friendly. I'd definitely look to stay there in the future.

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights when visiting London during the festive season last year. The room was comfy and clean. Have to highlight the bathroom that contains both a bathtub and shower. And also, for its convenient location in the heart of London where public transport and a variety of attractions are accessible, and that the staff we met were friendly and helpful, this hotel imo is recommendable

We stayed for a one night and it was well rested, quiet one. If you add fantastic, tasty, freshly cooked breakfast, you know it's a place to come back. Thank you!

Shame the bed was so uncomfortable- it had visible dips on both sides of the bed - I managed to sleep in the middle which was not as uncomfortable. Needs a very thick topper or replacing immediately. No complimentary water which was a shame. Otherwise staff very pleasant and large room.

The room are extremely quiet, very spacious, so comfortable, perfect for pampering. The shower is the best for a true moment of relaxation, the bathroom so elegant and big with Rituals products. You really have everything you need in the room, from toiletries to a Nespresso machine, biscuits, teas, water bottles, etc. Every day all treats are replaced for you and the comfort of your stay. The food is delicious and the real gem is the afternoon tea with prosecco. The location is just perfect. Simply five stars ⭐
